Wilton Castle

This stay was amazing! The owner checked us in and was very helpful in showing us our apartment, helping us carry luggage and the extras of having printed information for nearby villages, etc. The property was so relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. If I return to Ireland, this will absolutely be on my list of stops!!

We had a lovely stay, just by chance we were able to upgrade to a larger room and it was amazing. We were in the middle of several weeks of travel so it was a very comfortable atmosphere and I would love to return!

Beautiful and relaxing experience. We met the operator and had a great conversation with him. He explained to us the history of the castle and shared some stories. Thank you, we recommend the castle.

Wilton Castle was lovely to visit. We had the "Butler" Suite which was a full size apartment with luxury furnishings. Sean the owner was very knowledgeable and gave us a bit of history about the Castle. Weddings also happened here with the beautiful backdrop of the river it is very picturesque. The only drawback was the was no Bar or Restaurant on the location, we had to go into town for our dinner.

One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Beautiful building inside and out. Big livingroom, bedroom, bathroom and full kitchen. Really loved our stay.

This was a renovated castle. It was close to restaurants, within 10 minutes, very clean. There is no office to check in but the owner has camera to know when you arrive and meets you. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different!

Just an amazing and magical place to stay.

Quaint property with great charm.

I absolutely loved staying at Wilton Castle. The property is so interesting and the upgrades made to the rooms in the manor house are just top-notch. Sean could not have been nicer and more accommodating at check-in. The history of the house is so interesting and it’s surrounded by beautiful green pastures and solitude. If I hadn’t already made reservations at other places, I would have stayed here multiple nights. We stayed in the one bedroom accommodation, but were able to look at the three bedroom suite before we left. It is just gorgeous! They did not miss one single detail.

Straight out of a period novel or royal drama. You can live out your downton abbey/jane austen/bridgerton dreams. Enniscorthy apartment was extremely pretty and spacious. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen with huge table, 1 living room. TV with nextflix. Great views. Host was so welcoming! Best deal in Ireland!

Very unique. Staff was nice and helpful. Beautiful area to walk around.

Beautiful stay!

Excelent place to stay

Sean is doing a great job restoring this castle. We had a very comfortable stay.

This property is unbelievable! To stay in a castle is a fairytale and it didn’t disappoint. The location is quiet and tranquil, with lovely green pastures and a river running through the back grounds. Our suite was complete with a full kitchen, living space, and three bedrooms. My family unanimously voted this as our favorite stay during our week in Ireland! The property was clean, welcoming, and comfortable.

Was absolutely stunned at the overall size of the room. The greeting was absolutely amazing with old world charm. While we only stayed the night, we enjoyed tge property and surrounding area immensely. Visiti g from Canada, we didn't know what to anticipate in Ireland but not one aspect of our trip was sub par or exaggerated. I would recommend this place for a magical stay and beautifully appointed room and surrounding.

Beautiful castle. Great caretakers. Great experience

Wonderful space limited amenities

Sensational property!

I brought my two daughters here and there experience was simply magical! Wonderful place

They were beautiful rooms in a glorious setting. The rooms were large and elegant. Service was friendly and immediate. Would definitely go again.

A great getaway for couples or families. Lovely grounds for walking outside, fabulous apartments, wonderfully decorated, clean, comfortable. Great that it is self catering, so breakfast lunch and dinner were on our own schedule. Host was very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will definitely be going back.

Wonderful looking property, the beds were so comfortable & rooms beautiful. Make sure to arrive during daylight so you can walk around and see everything.

Just an overall awesome fun place to stay. Accommodations were great, the owner of the property was great as well. Highly recommend

Had a lovely one night stay at Wilton Castle. The suite was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner greeted me upon arrival and offered to help with my bags. He showed me to my room and helped get a fire started. I was looking for place to relax and disconnect and this place was perfect! I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

The office was very responsive and everything was excellent.

A great place for a family vacation where you cook and children can run free

This is a very unique property. It is tucked away in a quiet area. The lodgings are very comfortable and provide unique and lovely experience.

Gorgeous place ! We had the Butler Suite. Super comfortable and great views from the room. Peaceful! Only negative was the shower area, you could find some mold issues around the tiles. Something that can be easily treated. The place is magical

This venue was a dream come True-the comfort, the history, the welcoming hosts, and the quiet...only wish we stayed more than one night! Till next time(would love to book all 4 rooms for my family!!)

The Wilton Castle was fabulous! Very unique! Excellent place to stay! Beautiful, large and clean rooms! Loved soaking in the bath! (We booked the Furlong room.) So relaxing! Wished we stayed longer! Close drive to Enniscorthy for delicious dinner at Baileys. Your stay at Wilton Castle will not disappoint! Enjoyed every minute!

We had a great experience. It was very unique, we loved exploring the property grounds and historic castle ruins. Sean was very informative

Beautiful castle. Who doesn’t want to stay at a castle on your anniversary!! Read up on its history before going, so you can truly understand it. So peaceful & the owner was great. Beautiful creek that runs behind it. The room was so comfortable & relaxing. Thank you!

Despite never staying in a castle before I was impressed by the quality and space afforded at Wilton Castle. I have in some years stayed as many as 266/365 nights away from home so very critical but Wilton gets 10/10. The work done to restore the present lettablevareas shows real dedication to both maintaining the character while offering modern conveniences. Despite arriving early we were made very welcome, given instructions and settled into our castle. Kitchen was very well appointed as was the bathroom. Heating was excellent as we had control over timings. The bedroom was large with a very comfortable mattress and thick curtains. We enjoyed the opportunity to ramble around the ruins but weather stopped us visiting the extensive grounds. Well done David ,family and staff

This place has all the comforts of home while being an exceptionally beautiful space and relaxing area the only mistake there was with it was made by me by not buying grocery before we got there. There is a full kitchen refrigerator microwave oven stove anything you could need or want if you did your shopping beforehand you'd really have no need to leave. David, the owner, had exceptional eye for detail when taking this property from runes back to a beautiful castle. Do yourself a favor if you can book for more than one night.

The property was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay again.

Wilton Castle is awesome. Highly recommend it for couples, groups or large families that want to stay somewhere unique. The mansion is upscale, private and out in the countryside with nice views. There are adjacent castle ruins to walk thru.

Very good size room, but yo don't have the feeling to be in castle.. No común áreas.

Over all, it was an excellent experience of staying at the Castle. It was surprised to have a kitchen with facilities and a separate living room with a fire place! Interesting to see the ruined castle beside where you would be staying too.

We absolutely loved the Wilton Castle. We stayed in the Butler's Suite and it was gorgeous and comfortable and spacious and had everything you could want or need! The property is beautiful. And the cows walking past every morning and evening was a cherry on the sundae! We only wished we planned to stay for a week! We did stay 2 nights and made day trips out each day. The Italian restaurant in Ennoscarthy was delicious BUT the guy loves Musselini which was very weird and frightening. Wilton Castle, though, is a must!!!

Very private. Nobody but guests stay in the castle so no staff there at night. It was a good stay. Great grounds to walk around no real garden beauty to look at. Read up on the history and enjoy. The thorn hill suite is huge and very very nice!

The scenery is spectacular . We got the Thornhill suite which is absolutely breathtaking. There is an option to walk outside along the river stream. The peacefulness in this whole area is like no other. The scenery straight out of a movie scene. Already planning my trip back to Wilton Castle. I do have to say that there is no restaurant in the castle so therefore, you either have to order food, which was fairly easy to do on just eat.ir which gives you many options to choose from from nearby towns. Or you can drive to the nearby towns which are 5-7 minutes away. This was definitely not a dealbreaker for me since the area is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff is very kind and stays out of your way. Also, we had a full kitchen in our suite so this was great.

This was a very unique experience and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Having a private suite with full kitchen and living space was a bonus that I wish we had come prepared for and brought our own food and wine. But we traveled 10 minutes in to town and had a lovely dinner.

Our party were the only people staying at the castle so we had the whole place to ourselves. Rooms were much nicer than expected

A beautiful property close to the downtown.

There was everything to love about Wilton Castle. Warm and welcoming staff, beautiful grounds, cozy and elegant rooms and a very friendly neighbourhood dog, Freddy.

Beautiful, large space, fully equipped kitchen with coffee and milk for the next morning.

What can you say. Except amazing. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite that was incredible. It was definitely worth getting there at check in to have some time to explore. Internet worked great. Bree is just up the road and very charming with a perfectly stocked store. We flew into Dublin around 10am. Had plenty of time to explore Wicklow and it’s lighthouse then headed to the castle around arriving 4pm. You’ll appreciate this castle even more if you read their website’s history. This is a self stay (not a B&B; you need to cook for yourself in their fully stocked kitchen, eat out or get takeaway.) They do have delivery. If you plan on cooking, pickup your groceries first. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking ware and such. The host had left us milk coffee and basics to get started.

Wilton Castle is beautiful! We stayed in the Furlong Suite and it was everything we could have imagined! David who checked us in was very helpful!

We booked this location for one night while traveling from Killarney to Dublin and needed a stop on the way so decided to splurge for a night in a castle. I apparently didn’t pay that much attention to the booking because I didn’t realize until we got there that it was actually a suite with a kitchen and licit room not just a bedroom and bath. It was more space than we needed but a welcome surprise and we enjoyed having a fire and I enjoyed the large bathtub! The suite was clean and beautifully decorated and was a great price for what you get (especially compared to prices in the US). It didn’t feel like a luxury castle, it felt like we were living in a casket apartment for the night, in a good way. The bed was comfy and the shower was great and we loved being able to explore the ruins of the side of the castle that wasn’t restored. We had not issue checking in or out and our only issue was the way we chose to get there ended up at a closed bridge but was easy to navigate around. We had dinner in Enniscorthy at Via Veneto and it was really good. Overall it was a lovely stay and would have liked to stay longer!

Wonderful venue, very spacious and great facilities. Total seclusion, just what was needed. Will be back again.

Our stay at Wilton Castle was exceptional! My husband and I love to travel and I would put this property in the top 5 that I have ever stayed. If you are looking for a fun experience and want a quiet few days away from the city, stay here!!! It is a private property with pastures all around. You can wake up in the morning and look out the window at the grazing cows while enjoying your cup of tea in the breakfast nook. The suite that we stayed in (Butler Suite) was very clean, spacious, and well thought out and had added touches like a working fireplace, and tea, coffee, and milk in the fridge. We were greeted promptly upon arrival, shown around, and were given recommendations for dinner if we wanted to go out. We went to an Italian restaurant in town that was delicious. The closest small town was less than a 10 minute car ride away. One of my favorite things about the property is that we could freely walk around and explore the ruins of the old castle. Be sure to read the history of the castle on the website. I can’t say it enough…this property is wonderful and we very much enjoyed our stay here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay a few more nights. Thank you!!

This unique property is beautiful and magical. The suites are so tastefully designed, spacious and had everything we needed. This is a place that has been a labor of love and has kept so many of the period touches. The owner Sean has done an outstanding job.

We sadly didn’t arrive until late at night and left at sunrise so we couldn’t fully enjoy the grounds during our stay, but everything was beautiful. Only complaint was the WiFi was weak and we’d lose signal in the bedrooms.

A great castle to stay in! Great host and very comfortable flat. Milk, coffee, and tea were provided which was wonderful.

Really great experience!

We arrived later than check-in and the staff was so amazing and welcoming, even though it was so late. It was the most amazing experience and wonderful property!

This place is beautiful! Definitely one of a kind. The owner is very kind and helpful! The castle is extremely clean! Bring wine and cheese to enjoy outside!

This castle is in a breathtaking location along a river with rolling pastures surrounding it. Ideal place for a wedding. We had a brief stop stay while moving between tourists sites and loved every minute

This place is amazing! The rooms are restored wonderfully and have everything you need. Be sure to order the breakfast! They come in and set it up in your kitchen and it’s a ton of food. Best place we stayed in Ireland and we will be back!!

Idyllic setting, very spacious accommodations, friendly owner, wonderful bed, great kitchen, all made for a very relaxing stay. Unlike many other similar accommodations, Wilton Castle is privately owned and operated. It is a work in progress as only part of the original castle has been renovated to date. I would encourage these amazing owners any day!

Had an amazing stay at Wilton castle. Wish we would have booked to stay longer. The grounds are gorgeous. When checking in we were greeted and shown our suite and provided with recommendations for restaurants nearby. We stayed in the Thornhill Suite. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and absolutely amazing. We felt like royalty in the castle. I highly recommend a stay at Wilton castle.

Amazing property! If you're looking for a spacious, comfortable, and quiet location to enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside, this is it!

Beautiful!

This is such a beautiful property. The rooms are gorgeous. This is the second time I’ve stayed at this castle I must say every time it gets better and better. The manager is also very helpful and very sweet.

The place was reasonably clean (apart from crumbs on the sofas and a considerable quantity of flies/mozzies throughout the apartment) and our first impressions were generally favourable. We thought we'd found the perfect place to stopover on our regular business trips to the south of Ireland but then we started to find some basic but very important flaws which would certainly cause us to never stay there again. The bed, although clean, was very uncomfortable and gave us a very poor nights sleep, with backache to follow in the morning. The shower was unusable. The shower head looked like it was handmade from some galvanised metal container with tiny little pinpricks to let out the water. This meant the water sprayed everywhere in very fine jets which were unbearable. We had to use the bath instead. Cold tap on wash hand basin didn't work. Considering this is marketed as a premium facility (costing us almost £150 for one night), if the basic amenities of a good bed and a good shower cannot be provided, then it is best avoided. It's such a shame as it is such a lovely place in very tranquil, scenic surroundings and has so much going for it, but yet still hasn't got the basic comforts nailed.

Amazing fairytale place. Apartments are very large and very well equipped. The area is fantastic, a castle like you dream of when reading stories. Everything was perfect. Sean is very nice and it was very interesting learning about the journey of the castle and see its conditions before Sean turned part of it in a hotel. I can't recommend it enough, it's just fantastic.

This property is amazing. From the moment we turned off the main road and drove down the drive, catching a glimpse of this remarkable building we were enraptured. On parking the car we were greeted at the main door and shown our suite. WOW was it special. Wished my home was as well appointed as this. Cannot fault it. The building is very special and what the owners have done to resurrect it after the fire is exceptional. Very sympathetic interior. Just loved it - WELL DONE AND THANK YOU. We will return

We was very surpriced with the whole House and our big Suite. Also a very great Breakfast in our Room. WE COME BACK HERE !!!!

Beautiful property

Just beautiful so impressed - spacious and clean and really breath-taking. 10/10

The entire property was gorgeous! There was a beautiful field in the back and some picnic tables to sit and relax. The suite itself was wonderfully done and very clean. I would definitely recommend anyone I know to stay here. If we ever get back to Ireland we will definitely be staying here again -- hopefully for longer!

We spent one night at Wilton Castle and we loved it. The only thing that needs improvement is the meals. They offer breakfast for a very reasonable price but it lacked variety and there’s no way to eat dinner there unless you bring the food with you. We took a taxi to town and ate at a wonderful restaurant.

Loved everything about this beautiful castle and the owner was super helpful and friendly. I cannot wait to go back to visit again!!!

The setting was surreal... it was a postcard stay. We thought it would be more of a hotel experience, this was more of an exclusive stay out in the country. Top of of our list when we return to Ireland.

I really enjoyed this place. It is so incredibly quiet. There are only 4 rooms so the only sound you may hear is another guest driving in the driveway or shutting a door. There is no passing traffic - the silence is beautiful. To be clear, the facilities are simple but our suite had a kitchen with all the cooking facilities we’d need; the bedroom is nice. The bathroom beautifully clean but simple. In winter, it gets cold but the owners provide you wood and a fire starter for your fireplace. There’s no restaurant on premises but the nearby town has lots. This place is quirky and full of history - I’d like to have learnt more about its history. I would be back; enjoyed it very much!

This is an AMAZING property that exceeded all our expectations, and they were high! We stayed in the Alcock Suite and were shocked that is was so big, even though it is only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you choose to stay, PLEASE treat yourself to the breakfast that’s served in your suite. This stay rates at the top of my list of cool things I’ve ever done!!!

Absolutely fantastic venue. Will definitely be back.

This was such a magical place! Would recommend for anyone looking for a unique remote castle experience.

Best combination of a high-end hotel, B&B, and with the history and charm of a castle. The suite was large, comfortable, and the owner is absolutely fantastic! Thank you for the visit, we'll be sure to plan a longer stay if we ever make it around to this area again!

The castle was a lovely place to stay. I wish we had been able to stay longer. The grounds were beautiful as well.

Wonderful place. Thank you so much!

It was like stepping back in time for one night. You really get that castle vibe. Grounds are beautiful

Lots of room, comfortable beds, beautiful property. This isn't really a "castle hotel", as it has no food service (just your own kitchen), and I don't know if someone stays on site or not. Which is fine, just be aware. We noticed several spiders in the morning, which is likely common for the location of the property, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone is squeamish. The rooms are huge. The kitchen had just the basics. The building and grounds are lovely. There appear to be only a few apartments, so we never saw any other guests while we were there, just their cars. Very quiet and peaceful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This is a gem of a place to stay in bucolic surroundings. We loved the Furlong Suite. It was a peaceful place to come back to after exploring parts of Ireland.

It was a freaking Castle!!!! Gorgeous suite! It was a freaking Castle!!!!

We loved the location and privacy. Away from all the crowds. The space was just wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Very gorgeous castle located in the beautiful Ireland country. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

This was not a hotel or a B&B. It was a castle and it was perfect. An amazingly ideallic accomodation. If your looking for an exclusive quiet stay. Go to the castle where you are treated like royalty. There aren't enough words to describe my satisfaction with the Wilton Castle.

Very friendly. Clean. Sean was very helpful. Beautiful grounds
