The location. Some great bars, restaurants and diners nearby. A good place to stay out of the city but nearby.

Car parking expensive.

Breakfast was awesome! Great menu choices! We also enjoyed meal selection of the Bistro!

At check in the front desk clerk ran our card twice that caused it to be declined. Our card was charged the first time she ran it but said it didn't go thru. A bit embarrassed cuz other guests were at the desk. And good thing we have a text message alert that showed the transaction.

Location.

I booked this hotel particularly for the pool. But the pool did not have water in it when we were there. Very disappointing. When I asked the front desk about it, she wasn't nice or even act understanding. She simply said the pool not working is posted on their website and I should've checked it. So O did check it later that day. There is no notice on the courtyard by Marriott website about the pool not functioning currently by the way. Also, I booked a king bed with a sleeper sofa and they only had a queen bed with sofa. I felt deceived.

As a flight crew member, we consistently stay at the Courtyard in Edgewater and always enjoy our visits. The hotel feels clean, modern, and well-maintained. One of my favorite aspects is its convenient location within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shopping, and the scenic waterfront walking path. The only drawback is that there isn’t much else to do in the immediate area. It would be fantastic if there were a ferry within walking distance that provided easy access to New York City. Nanette is by far the standout employee at this property. Her hospitality, professionalism, and genuine kindness make our stay more enjoyable. She consistently goes above and beyond and represents the hotel exceptionally well. The front desk staff and even the bartender with piercings could learn a thing or two about hospitality from her example. Time will tell, see you next week!

Very disappointing experience. Within 30 minutes of checking into my room, I found bedbugs in the bedding — clearly visible and documented on video and photos. I reported it immediately and left the hotel that same night, driving hours home rather than staying any longer. What’s most concerning is the response that followed. Despite being shown evidence at the front desk and having my own documentation, I was later told that a third-party inspection found no bedbugs or activity. That does not reflect what I experienced or what was documented in real time. I understand that issues can happen in hospitality. However, being told that nothing was found after a documented experience like this raises serious concerns about how situations like this are identified and addressed. For me, this goes beyond a single stay — it impacts my trust in how this property, and potentially others within the brand, handle issues that directly affect guest safety and peace of mind. Sharing so others can make an informed decision.

Smart rooms on the large side.

A garbage lorry comes between 3-4pm at the back of the hotel. It has a loud reverse alarm and woke me up 3 out of 4 nights. On another night a fire alarm went off at 11pm and we were all evacuated.

The staff at the front desk and even the housekeeping staff were very pleasant, diligent and accommodating throughout my day.

There was nothing I didn't like about the property.

Everythign was great. Comfy beds, location very close to the bus station do Manhattan (20-30min). We've had breakfast once - it was "ok" but nothing special. Definetely the "original pancake house" 5mins walk was better for breakfast. There was mexican restaurant nearby - definetely to recommend.

The location was a little bit tricky to get into central New York. You had to catch a bus which was a little bit confusing at first (although the staff helped us) once we worked it out it was great!

I booked a room with a King size bed and a pull out bed. There was not a pull-out bed. The hotel said they would give me a credit but they did not.

I should’ve had what I paid for. I did not have the pull out sofa!

The breakfast was a typical breakfast buffet we've experienced at other hotels. It was a decent breakfast we were just disappointed we had to pay for it. We've always experienced a free breakfast with the hotel stay.

As mentioned above we didnt like being charged for breakfast or for parking.

The staff are very nice and professional. I would like to thank Fawn and Lamar for their service. The hotel is clean, in excellent condition, well located, quiet and with a comfortable common space.

The price.

It was near the oversight of New York and good local restaurants.

You had to pay for parking at the hotel for each night without refunding it back for parking in the car garage.

You need to ask for water bottle when it’s complimentary for the stay

Had a reservation booked but due to an ice/snow storm, one where they were saying to stay off of the roads. i could not make it. Hotels.com said they understood and would give me a one time exemption due to mother nature, they called the hotel, the manager at the desk said no one, no expentions. Marriott wanted me to frive my family thru an ice storm, that is the time of busines they are. Never staying at a Marriott again.

I loved the location and the room. The accessibility to stores, and dood a la carte was really pleasant. The staff was very attentive to out needs at all times.

I was displeased with the pool. I tend to book locations where there are pools that allow me to enjoy lap swimming. The pool at this location was definitely not made fir this. It was more for wading. This would be the only deterrent for me to book another stay. It was misrepresented. It is the little things that count

The property is situated in a semi-private location but has excellent access to public transport. Easy access to the ferry to New York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and they have their own restaurant, with convenient access to a variety of other restaurants and food outlets.
