Karibu Aruba Boutique Hotel

We absolutely LOVED staying here in this wonderful location. The pool was just outside our door. We enjoyed a fab little kitchen. There’s a path to cross the street to the beach at the Marriott. This is also near the Ritz Carlton. Look and compare. My wife won $150.00 in the Marriott Casino. Near best beaches and sea turtles at Tres Trapi and California Lighthouse……Perfect for drone and photos at sunset. They are so gracious and helpful. We stayed 10 days.

When we arrived at the hotel, Tim—our host—was already there, warmly waiting to welcome us. It was really late, and after a failed attempt to find food, we were about to give up and head to bed when Tim and his wife, Joan, generously offered us some homemade food. From day one, they were incredibly kind—offering us rides when transportation was tricky, checking in on us throughout the week, and making sure our stay went smoothly. It truly felt like they were our grandparents for the week in the best way. On our last day, they even drove us to the airport and gave us the sweetest goodbye. It was the first time my friend and I had ever traveled, and we both agreed that staying at this hotel—and having Tim and Joan as our hosts—was an unforgettable experience. We loved this spot! Just across from the beach and very private. Tim and Joan who were watching the place for the owners were great hosts and we really enjoyed chatting with them each day! Being able to have a late night swim in the pool was great as well. Also loved that beach equipment was provided so we didn’t need anything- super easy. Will recommend to friends.

Getting to the beach was a little bit of a walk which could be difficult carrying all the beach gear especially after a rain.

The property location worked well for us. It was within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. The property is well maintained and clean. We used the pool most nights - very relaxing! We will definitely stay at Karibu during our next visit to Aruba.

My wife and I had the best time staying at Karibu Aruba. The hotel was in the perfect location, clean, and the hosts Andra’s and Beja were absolutely incredible and made our stay in Aruba better than we could possibly imagine. We cannot wait to return. We just left and are already planning our next trip back.

This is our second stay here and it feels like our home away from home. The owners Andras and Beja go above and beyond making sure that you are well accomondated , not just upon your arrival, but everyday throughout our stay. The rooms are cozy and cleaned everyday with much TLC ! The entire place is immaculate, right down to the lovely pool. The ourdoor space is so relaxing after a long day at the beach. And beautiful Palm beach is just across the road and in walking distance. Cant's wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was close to everything you could want to do, but also quiet and peaceful. The hotel was clean and safe. Our wonderful hosts made us feel like family and and friends. We will stay here again the next time next time we get to Aruba.

You will not regret staying at this place! I have stayed at Ritz, Four Season and St Regis all over the world. Never once I have experienced this kind hospitality. The couple who owns the place Andras and Beha are beyong amazing. I had a small hiccup coming to Aruba due to flight delay. I had a dinner with my friends before checking in. I distinctly remember they messaged me if everything is was alright. They even said waved goodbye as a drive off their property. If you are going to Aruba, you should definitely stay at this boutique hotel. You will not regret it. Max of 10 guest for this place, so its very quiet. Bed is made everyday. Rooms are intentionally decorated with most of your needs.

The owners make you feel at home immediately. They give recommendations and know the island well. Very cute and quaint place to stay. All 4 room would often meet in the common area for coffee in the morning and share our previous day. The rooms were set up well with a small kitchen area. They have a book library in the common area. Plenty of places to sit, lounge and relax.walking distance to grocery store , two amazing restaurants , and maybe 10 min walk to the marriot beach. I'm so happy I stumbled on this boutique hotel.

The Karibu was absolutely wonderful!! From the time we arrived until we left, we felt like family. The Hotel was beautiful and so peaceful. Me and my wife love to sit outside. We did every night by the pool, and you could hear the ocean and feel the cool breeze. Andras welcomed us with a delicious rum coconut. It was so good in fact we went and bought some coconut rum. The rooms were spotless and well decorated. You could walk to Palm Beach in about 8 minutes, but we had rented a car and it being so hot out we just decided to drive. There is nothing bad I can say about this Motel. Just that I did not want to leave and cannot wait to return. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay Andras and Beja.

Hosts were amazing, very accommodating and available. Great proximity to the beach , we pretty much walked everywhere ,Palm beach,shopping , restaurants etc. Looking forward to our next stay !

Karibu was very clean and comfortable. Andras and Bea are amazing hosts and their hospitality was above and beyond 😁 I was very grateful to have use of the fantastic pool on the property. It was quiet, nice to be away from the craziness of the big hotels. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely hosts, the place is decorated with attention to detail and super clean.

For my needs, the location was perfect! Walking distance to popular beaches, shopping, some restaurants and a casino. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did their best to provide anything I needed and gave advise for everything else!

Booking.com said the Karibu had airport shuttle service, but they did not, at least not during my stay. The Karibu prefers cash payments, which was supposed to be on booking.com, but I did not see that listed anywhere. These issues were small items, easily fixed.

I stayed at the Karibu with my mother and we loved the service. Andras and Beja made us feel like home. A very well maintained property. Fairly close to restaurants and tourist spots. Only con is that most tours will not pick up there but will pick you up 2 minutes away from there. Andras and Beja will also guide you and make themselves available to drop you off or pick you up at your request and depending on their schedule. They are very nice and helpful! I loved it there.

Friendly owners, nice places to stay around the pool and in common area, books and games availble, very cozy, kitchen and tea and coffe available.

Very narrow stairs to the room (we have got the upper one), the bathroom is almost open (the doors do not really close, they are open in the bottom), the shower was leaking.

Staff/owners; Andras and Beja are so friendly and helpful, always offering anything and everything. They made it feel like family.

This is not the very expensive beach front resort, but only a quarter mile walk to the beach. Its a 10 minute walk but still a great location.

My stay was an absolute pleasure thanks to the kindness of Beya and Andres and the care they make to make each guest feel special in their beautiful property! I could not have asked for more. thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and it was very easy to walk everywhere. The bed was very comfortable! The beach was right across the street which was so perfect. There were beach chairs and towels we could use and we felt like we were hacking the system by getting all of the perks without the resort prices!! 10/10 would absolutely recommend staying here!

Andras and Beya created a magical space with everything you might need. They go above and beyond to ensure guests enjoy their stay. The hotel is close to the beach yet is a quiet oasis to relax. Loved the kitchenette, comfortable bed, towel art, shared kitchen with BBQ, tranquil pool, and all the extras like beach chairs and snorkeling gear. We are already planning to stay there when we return. Thank you Andras and Beya!

Wow! Just wow. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, this hotel was amazing. The hosts are super friendly, sincere, responsive and knowledgeable. The facilities are great and the entire hotel was immaculately clean and organized. The location was perfect. We will be back! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, the hosts were very helpful and we felt at home immediately. It was lovely to be somewhere quiet compared to the very busy hotels at the front. Easy to get around walking, buses and taxis.

We were very pleased with our room which even had a small kitchen, fridge and micro so we could make our own breakfasts. The hosts were both helpful and friendly. There’s a small pool and sunning patio with a pleasant view of wetlands. 15 minute walk to the beach.

The location was great, away from the big high rise hotels but an easy walk or car ride to beach and restaurants. The wonderful owners of this property go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. I can't imagine staying anywhere else! And this place is immaculate!!!

Like everything about the property it was clean access to hotels and places and restaurants around were easy. Staff was excellent and courteous. Enjoyed the hospitality.

Karibu is an excellent place to stay. It is reasonably priced, very clean, free of the hotel area crowds. Everything you need is close by. Renting a car makes it easier to get around but taxis are easily accessible.

The place was so peaceful, quiet, and all around LOVELY! Our hosts were fabulous and welcoming. We spent one of our days doing a quick butterfly farm visit (5min away) in the morning, then wound up staying at the pool lounging the rest of the day since it was so wonderful! Nearby, we loved Tres Trapi for a 5min drive away snorkle with sea turtles, then a bit further up for a quieter beach, Arashi, (but get there early for an umbrella). Isabel and Andras offered us beach chairs amd snorkle gear, which made a world of difference! I recommend renting a car of you're there longer than a couple days, very affordable options at airport! i liked the peace and quietness of the area. the owners are great people who was very hospitable and accommodating to my needs. the rooms an area on the property was cleaned immaculately and the pool was dope. i have told people to stay here and i will be back here next year. God bless the owners

Karibu was a perfect place for our 2 week stay in Aruba. Andras, Beha, and Isabella were the perfect hosts. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants, the location couldn’t have been more convenient. Our room was made up every day so we came back from our adventures to a clean room! And always some surprise towel art with fresh flowers. A lovely touch! Because there are so few units (3, I believe), we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Wonderful family owned boutique hotel very close to Palm Beach. The owners are delightful. The little hotel is gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting by the pool at night with a glass of wine talking to the other guests. Spectacular hidden gem.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The room and common areas were comfortable and attractive. We appreciated the information we received from the owners about things to see on the island. We definitely recommend this lovely boutique hotel.

Very nice hosts and a super comfortable room, very large with wide windows looking over the pool. It was nice to have a kitchen for use. The owner also prepares coffee early in the morning for the guests. You can borrow beach chairs which I definitely recommend because they are very comfy and convenient at the beach.

The location is a little inconvenient because there is a green field in front of the property and then a major road. After you cross the road and walk down a little bit you arrive at the beach. The green field gets filled with water when it rains and it becomes impossible to walk through the field to the main road so you need to take a convoluted route that makes it longer. Overall I think it would take 15min to arrive at the beach. Of course, in return you pay a fraction of the price you would have to pay at a hotel on the beach and with a much smaller room. The hosts were very kind and they offered to drive us to the supermarket and to a nice beach nearby where you can snorkel and even sea the turtles if you are lucky.

The Karibu is a small (4 unit) boutique hotel 10-15 minute walk to the high-rise resorts and the public beaches. It is a regular gem of a place, with a central courtyard and other public spaces that encourage mingling with other guests. But the best thing about the Karibu was our hosts, a Dutch couple who did everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. On our anniversary, they even left a bottle of chilled champagne in the room for us to discover on our return from a marvelous dinner at the lighthouse restaurant (which they booked for us). The two downsides: The room was inconvenient, and the beach and Marriott resorts were farther away than I realized when I booked the Karibu. But the Karibu experience overall was great, and our hosts were hands down the best I've ever encountered in my long life.

Let's talk about the room itself. The bed was fine, perfectly comfortable and clean, and the daily housekeeping service was excellent. But the room layout seemed designed for people half a foot taller than my wife and I, and everything -- furniture, sinks, eating spaces, bathroom counter, etc. -- was a bit inconvenient. Also, thinking we were just across street from the beach, we did not rent a car. Big mistake. Our hosts started calling to get us one but things were tight and no cars were available until the last 4 days of our stay. Lack of wheels put a definite crimp in our activities, although taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced, and a bus runs in front of the high-rise hotels.

I liked every thing. Exceptional in all respects; and also extremely happy with the hospitality offered by the hotel owners.

We loved that it was small, quiet, and far enough away from the big hotels to not be crowded, but close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. The owners, Andrus and Beja, are incredibly sweet and very helpful. There’s no question we’ll stay there again when we return.

Everything! We love a private hotel where you feel like home. Hosts are such a wonderful people, always there to call for anything you need. Location is perfect, right on the other side of Marriott, and Palm Beach is 5-7mins walk. Our room was spacious, pool always clean and fresh towels for beach waiting every morning.

The property is great. The room was very nice. The housekeeping was great! Property owners were very nice. Animals at the property are a very nice touch.

Unfortunately, it was raining so the trail which was a short walk to the beach was flooded and obviously closed. The alternate walk to the beach area was a 12-minute unpleasant walk through some neighboring run-down houses. A car rental is highly recommended if you want to fully enjoy your stay at Karibu.

Karibu Aruba had the nicest and helpful staff and owners. They directed us to restaurants and adventures. The location was peaceful and a short walk to everything. Everything was clean and we had a full kitchen and bbq by the pool if we wanted to stay in.

Karibu Aruba exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived (early) we were treated like long lost family. Andrus and Beja are exceptional hosts and offered a unique warmth and kindness to our stay. Andrus immediately took hold of our luggage and carried it upstairs to our gorgeous room looking over a bird sanctuary just in front of the large hotels with casinos and a wide variety of restaurants. He gave great advice including showing us the path that would take us across to the beach in five minutes. The beach is simply gorgeous with gentle pristine waves made for all kinds of water activities. The property has a perfectly stocked kitchen that is shared by the guests. We used it to make breakfast each day and to store our drinks and snacks. The pool and lounging areas are fantastic, and we had cocktails by the pool each night as the birds returned to roost. Our room each day was decorated with special towel arrangements and flowers provided by Isabel. As we left the property, we asked for a taxi to be called, and Andrus imply loaded our luggage and drove us to our next stop. This is one of the finest Boutique hotels that we have ever found. We are already planning for our return.

Small boutique hotel with amazing hosts--Andras and Beja were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable owners(on-site) that were able to assist with navigation of the shops, sights and restaurants on the Island. There was not much I didn’t like at this place the rooms were clean it’s in a convenient location has everything that you need for a excellent vacation! Russ an Mia are excellent hosts and were there if you needed anything or any questions great hospitality!!!! I will be back!

Charming boutique facility run by a warm and welcoming Dutch couple. Facility has four units, all spanking clean and charming. Pool. Units have kitchenettes, with a larger central kitchen also for guest use. We’d like to go back. Only minor problem: a somewhat temperamental hot water supply. A grocery store is a reasonable walk away, as is the beach, with its restaurants and attractions. A bus stop on the beach road is very nearby. Mini bus: $4.00; large bus: $5.25, both flat rate. Eagle beach and Oranjestad downtown are easily accessible by this method. Large bus offers a stored value card, but the minibus requires cash.

The apartment was very comfortable and spotless. The owners and staff take excellent care of the property and are on site if needed. They supplied us with beach chairs, a back pack cooler and suggested a beach away from the tourist area. Staying at Karibu is vey relaxing. I highly recommend it. A car is not necessary but is very convenient to have. We have already booked another trip.

Karibu Aruba is a small, beautiful, accommodating and very relaxing hotel located close to the high rise hotel row on the beach. The location is close enough to walk to the beach and feels safe and peaceful. There is a good grocery store a five minute walk. Upon arrival, we felt that you welcomed us into your home. We enjoyed the welcoming refreshments, exceptionally clean rooms and sitting areas, the great view and beautiful clean pool. The cats, lizards and turtles gave us a real feel of the Caribbean. We appreciated all your hardwork and thank you for making our stay comfortable and relaxing. We could not expect more from the stay. You are very professional, courteous and just fantastic people. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We definitely will come back and stay in Karibu Aruba Boutique Hotel again with the family. We will remember our visit forever, wishing you the best.

Our room was nicely appointed and the location of the hotel is quiet and perfect, but close enough to the resort action and the beaches. There is a good grocery store a five minute walk away as well as a local Lebanese restaurant-delicious!! We will definitely be back!

I can't say enough about Karibu. The owners and staff were very pleasant and helpful. We felt like we were staying with friends. The room was spotless. The pool and grounds are well kept. The hotel has is everything you could want for a vacation. Karibu is a short walk to the beach and the shopping area. Although everything is close by, I would suggest renting a car. This is a BEST kept secret.

When we arrived we were skeptical. The property is just lovely, but it seemed too far away from everything. I am happy to say that our minds were changed! I quick walk for breakfast, and all that Palm Beach has to offer. Close to the beach. Andras graciously drove us over for dinner and we took a cab back.
