Nothing I didn’t like
The best stay everyone was super friendly and accommodating …..everything was extremely close will only choose to stay here the next time around!!!!! Close enough to a night out or perfect for a quiet night in not to mention their cafe was amazing !!!
It felt like we were in a tropical oasis ♡♡ this property is intentional and so well thought out. A great "adult" escape. Our room was spacious and clean, the pools are secluded and accessible 24/7, the entire staff was helpful and friendly, there's beach transport & access, and lastly, the Coco Café never missed !! Each meal we ordered was chef's kiss !! Would highly recommend the private dinner experience or the breakfast tower for your casita's patio; perfect way to take in the natural beauty.
Adults only
I loved everything about it
We came to the boardwalk boutique hotel for our honeymoon and words can’t fully do it justice. From our arrival throughout our entire stay the staff and employees were so welcoming. We also really appreciate that the hotel has so many partnerships with local groups such as animal shelters and conservation efforts. Super easy walk to the beach, and the coco cafe has delicious drinks and food. I couldn’t get enough of the coconut shrimp! We loved their events such as the live music on the beach and tour of the hotel gardens. Special shoutout to Cindy, Jessica, and Valery for consistently going above and beyond. We love the boardwalk!!
Had an awesome time in Aruba staying at the Boardwalk Hotel. Everyone was incredibly friendly and provided great service. The front desk team was kind and helpful and Julen at the beach/pool is fantastic. We enjoyed the food/drink service at the beach and then coming back to the hotel for happy hours. The casitas are a good size and the iced tea pitchers are a nice touch. The hotel is a bit quieter/tucked away but it’s quick and easy for taxi pickup. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book an Aruba trip.
We had a wonderful time at this resort and on the island. This hotel is absolutely fantastic. We were greeted warmly at check in and were offered champagne and they held our luggage until our room was ready and when ready they showed us to our room which had more champagne and snacks and tea. Our casita was perfect and so cute and lovely. We were in a second floor casita and we also loved our patio. It felt very private and secluded. We ate a few times at the Coco cafe for breakfast and lunch and also had drinks there when we returned after dinner each evening. We spent time at the beach and both pools lounging with drinks but also went beach hopping and exploring the island. The resort is smaller and more private but so peaceful and relaxing. We liked how they handle the palapa system. All you had to do the day before was tell them you want chairs and a palapa for the next day and then the next day you had until 11am to be at your palapa to claim it. So we would go to breakfast or took a walk or went exploring or to the pool in the mornings and still had time to get to our palapa. Several days we decided to go to other beaches though. We are so glad we chose this resort over the chain resorts. We had a great experience here.
We had a fantastic stay at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel. The beautiful, tropical grounds are immaculately maintained, and the pool area was always clean, peaceful, and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast was excellent every morning. Our casita was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Don't let the short walk to the beach put you off—it's an easy stroll to a quieter section of Palm Beach, you can book a palapa the day before, although we always found one available, even when we forgot to book it. There are plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The property was beautiful . It was clean . The staff was so friendly . I loved all the nature that was around the property . A truly unique experience .
The Restraunt food was a little pricy .
Una struttura magica, dotata di ogni comfort, curata nei minimi dettagli
Nulla, tutto perfetto
One of the most beautiful stays. Each room is more like a beautiful beach apartment. The gardens and landscaping around the hotel were gorgeous. The casita was spotless and the shower had good water pressure. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The walk to Palm Beach was quick and we were offered a ride by the shuttle for our return trip while not needed it was appreciated. The beach chairs were very comfortable and palapas provided excellent shade. Its on the quieter side of Palm Beach but still nosier then Eagle Beach. The water was beautiful but the sand felt more like a lake a little slimy, i think it might be from all the boats but other then that a beautiful stay.
I trust Trip Advisor and had been looking at the stellar reviews for this place for awhile. We usually do the big high rise or the cruise when vacationing in the Caribbean. This time we chose to do something a little different. We are here now and every five star review has proven to be deserving. It is a high quality small hotel with casitas in the Dutch manner with pastel and colorful decor. Everything looks high quality, as well as the service and Michelin restaurant. It is directly across from the Ritz. There is a two minute walk across to the palapa reserved Boardwalk area of the beach between The Ritz and Marriott only for Boardwalk vacationers but a shuttle if you prefer.. There is everyone from honeymooners to older couples. The two pools are lovely. It is on an old coconut plantation and is very tropical with foliage and birds. It isn't cheap, but sometimes you get what you paid for.
Infelizmente sofremos no dia da chegada Ninguém esperando e quase não conseguimos entrar para dormir no quarto. Quase estragou a viagem infelizmente!
A acomodação é boa mas o serviço não agradou infelizmente!
This is a spectacular, spectacular hotel. The landscaping provides wonderful shade over the pools for all-day swimming, and the patios off of every room are well appointed for when you want to relax and play some cards while listening to the birds sing. The omnipresent buggy takes you right to the best seats at Palm Beach (not that it's that far), but if you're wise you'll drive a bit further north where there's better snorkeling and the sand is less muddy. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff is kind. The clientele is mostly 20s-30s American couples on babymoon, but we were not out of place at all. Rooms are huge and well appointed, if without pre-packaged soaps.
We came to the Boardwalk on our honeymoon via recommendation from my wife's sister. Wonderful recommendation and place to stay. It was an oasis away from the massive beach hotels. We loved how peaceful and relaxing the space was and had wonderful interactions with the staff. It's just a few minute walk to the beach so it was super convenient to go down and spend time there. The food was some of the best of our trip and extremely healthy. We were constantly thinking about the boardwalk even when we left for our next hotel in Curacao. Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.
This is truly a magical place. It is beyond gorgeous. Everything inside and out is so well done. The staff is outstanding and the level of service is truly impressive. I am quite a frugal person and can say that the boardwalk is without a doubt worth every penny
Boardwalk is a truly charming and cozy place, with a warm and relaxing atmosphere. A special mention goes to the staff, who are incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food is absolutely delicious as well, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The only thing I think could be improved is the breakfast service, which was quite slow.
5 stars. I have no words how wonderful this trip was and this hotel and staff
Beautiful boutique hotel with semi-private feeling to the casitas and the greenery. Definitely do the BBQ boxes. Cafe was great, lots of options and reasonably priced for the type of place (NY prices). Beach palapas can be reserved with service from the Cafe. Pool was pretty too and they hosted happy hour cocktails. Adults only, so mostly couples and adult families were there. Super easy to get to from the airport via taxi (around 20mins $31-38 plus tip).
The pillows and mattress were a little on the tired side, but everything was clean. We prefer firmer pillows so its nice when hotels offer spare/additional options.
We had a wonderful stay at Beachwalk and will definitely be staying there again! The hotel was lush and felt very private. The staff were so helpful and friendly!
The Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is a tropical oasis! Sun, sand and beautiful ocean within walking distance. The food, the vibe, the staff were absolutely lovely. We will be back!
2nd visit here. What a wonderful place to vacation! Staff is fantastic and the rooms and grounds are beautiful. Pretty close to paradise.
Second time staying here and it was as good or better than the first time. We rented the deluxe Casita for 10 fabulous days! Such a hidden gem, hidden in all their amazing palm trees and plants! On Oasis. Everyone in their staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating! Very welcoming! The Casita has everything you need for a romantic and luxury getaway. The Coco Cafe has amazing unique cocktails and great food that is super fresh and delicious! Love how intimate the hotel is vs staying in a large hotel with too many people. Adults only is a great appeal too! Short walk to the beach and perfect beach set-up where you can always find a thatched umbrella and chaise lounge chairs. Great food and drink service on the beach too! There is no detail left undone at the Boardwalk! Can't wait to go back!
The property was lush, beautiful, and laid back.
We weren’t right on the beach, but a close walk (across the street)
Kleinschalig en erg leuk opgezet
We picked Boardwalk Boutique Hotel for our third trip to Aruba, and we stayed in a Deluxe Coco Casita. Best Decision! The casita was spacious, and we LOVED the outdoor shower. We appreciated the daily tea, cooler, and ability to use beach chairs and snorkeling masks. We enjoyed relaxing at the large pool and the beach. The loungers were extremely comfortable. We look forward to returning.
Quiet and away from the big resorts. The casita was nice.
The main pool was always too busy, it was hard to find a Sun lounger. Some of the staff were friendly, others grumpy.
Time and time again, I keep falling for the rave reviews when researching hotels, and once again, the reality didn't live up to expectations. This is a nice hotel, but nowhere near as amazing as the comments below make it sound. We travel extensively, and I judge a hotel on three basics: pillows, towels, and staff attitude. Here, the pillows were ok, the bath towels were cheap and tired, and the staff ranged from friendly to downright grumpy. The main pool was always overcrowded with too few loungers, so we invariably ended up at the small pool, which was essentially a plunge pool, with uncomfortable wooden chairs instead of loungers. It was a nice hotel overall, but I certainly wouldn't stay again. And seriously, don't believe all these TripAdvisor reviews; clearly, most of the people who write these reviews are either easily pleased or not well-travelled.
The reviews on this are not as I expected. This is a nice hotel but not as amazing as reviews led us to believe. Our room was nice and thankfully on the 2nd floor (casita) whereby ground floor are dark, public with no privacy. We had to obscure our neighbours by putting towels over the balcony and drier. The main pool is nice but we were never able to get a sub bed so stayed by the small pool which in essence is a plunge pool with wooden chairs and no comfy sun beds. We had to stay an extra night due to our flight being cancelled so booked another night. We went out for dinner the night we re-booked and were locked out of the main gate and another couple let us in as no staff were on site to let us in and it was only 8:30pm!! ??They'd checked us out!! The room had to be left unlocked as a result. One of the staff also asked us during the day why we had late check out so I explained we'd already booked an extra night - don't their team communicate with each other!! The last day they were felling tree foliage right by the small pool/our room which resulted in debris all over the balcony. No one came to clear it so we called reception for a broom but nothing came so, my husband found a broom and did it himself. The staff - some are really friendly and some not so. Overall the place is better to stay in than the main beach area which is full of chain hotels. At least the hotel is pretty, secluded and in a lovely setting.
This was our 4th visit in a row .. and just keeps getting better. We spent 10 amazing days enjoying everything about this resort. Breakfast in our casita, pack a lunch for the beach, happy hour at the pool, and dinner at the Coco Cay …. THEN repeat! It truly doesn’t get better than this and something my sister and our husbands look forward to each year. The staff makes us feel like family and we love to catch up with them each year … thank you to Julian, Fleur, Cindy, and Charmy for excellent service and friendly greetings each day. This is a special place and we are already booked for April 2027.
One of the absolute best adult boutique hotels in Aruba. We stayed here for 10 days and it was 100% perfection. From Check-in to Check-out, every possible thing you could think to ask for was already taken care of. You can tell the pride that this hotel takes in making its patrons happy. Everyone that works in this hotel is just a step above anything we have ever encountered. Some absolute stars are servers Marijn and Fleur. They made our time at the Coco Cafe so enjoyable, and what a fantastic restaurant. Also a special mention to Diego, who insured that everything was always perfect and made sure that everyone and everything was exactly the way you would have hoped for. Until we meet again, Kathy
Everything and Everyone. The rooms were spacious, private, clean and very comfortable. Restaurant on premises was very convenient. Located a very short block from the beach.
I can not think of a thing.
Boardwalk was absolutely amazing! My friend and I have traveled many places and this was a perfect experience from start to finish. They have truly thought of everything and it felt like we didn’t have to think too much about anything the whole trip and the touches were so thoughtful. The Coco Cafe was delicious and right on the property. Also the overall ambiance and decor was so beautiful. We absolutely loved it and will be back.
Boardwalk is the best place for a baby moon! They have a great baby moon package and are close to the beach. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Coco cafe on site was super convenient and the food was delicious!
Had a fabulous time in Aruba. It is a beautiful island and the people are extremely friendly. We stayed at Boardwalk Boutique and would definitely stay there again. They truly thought of everything you might need or want and provided it for you. The grounds are lush and beautiful, the pool is refreshing, and the casitas are well maintained and very comfortable.
The best hotel experience! 10/10 would recommend. We would come back to Aruba just to stay at this hotel. It was beautiful and so serene everywhere you looked. Quiet and beautiful casitas.
This place was a beautiful place to celebrate my 30th birthday! The relaxation along with the tranquility of the property is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before on a vacation! 10/10 recommend. Will be back in the future.
We like the smaller crowds and personal service of boutique hotels. Boardwalk fit that bill. The beauty, lush property, and service was superb. The property makes you feel like you’re in your own little world. I think we had one of the smallest casitas and it was spacious, very clean, well appointed with a kitchenette and a fridge stocked with complimentary cold water and yummy iced tea. Each casita patio has a deck with table and chairs and a hammock or hanging egg chair. It’s a nice space to get out of the sun and have some downtime. There’s even a grill and you can purchase a bbq kit to make a nice meal. The beach may be across the street but they have a little shuttle readily available for a quick couple minute drive. You are able to reserve nice shaded palapas on the beach so you’ll always have a spot. You can easily stay on property and eat all your meals in the Coco Cafe which has delicious food and drinks. But The Ritz and Marriott are right across the street with other restaurant options. We didn’t rent a car. Taxis were easily accessible and enough for us. I would recommend Boardwalk for romantic or friends getaways. It’s a nice little spot with excellent friendly service.
This hotel is a gem. Go!! It is so unique and beautiful. Easy to the private beach. Great food, friendly staff, feel safe and unique.
This is an exceptional hotel. Every single inch has been thoughtfully created and maintained at the highest level. The restaurant has many options for every dietary delight. The entire experience is like a warm hug.
This was our second year in a row and there is no other experience like it! You feel like you are in a tropical rainforest without the rain! The casitas are immaculate and give you the opportunity to have breakfast or lunch or dinner even in your vacation home. There is also a cooler that you can bring with you if you buy supplies locally. LOVE the beach palapas and food/drink service beachside! They have a great system for making beach reservations the day before. Staff is so helpful and it's really become a happy place for us to look forward to coming to once/year. Will go back again next year!
This boutique hotel was fantastic and we can’t say enough lovely things about this property and their team. They have thought of everything and every detail of this property is amazing. We stayed in a one bedroom casita, and appreciated having a kitchen and pool view. The atmosphere is relaxing and sophisticated, and the team is friendly and accommodating. Five stars!
This was our second year visiting the resort. This place is absolutely stunning and the staff are accommodating from check in to check out (and beyond, even offering assistance as we were facing potential flight disruptions). Don’t skip the Coco Cafe burger, Piña Colado, or a spa service
This is a beautiful property, just far away from the beach chaos to be perfect. It feels miles away. Property is impeccable, staff welcoming and attentive, and the food was varied and delicious. It was expensive and worth it. Spa experience also top notch. Gym is small, but gets the job done.
Very clean, excellent service, great location, nature based environment with lots of plant life and birds. Lots of nature, pool was kept clean, and good food at the cafe.
Boardwalk Boutique is hands down, the most gorgeous place I have ever stayed! Built on a former coconut plantation, you are immersed in lush tropical foliage, surrounding you with its beauty and tranquil atmosphere! It’s right on Palm Beach, nestled behind the Ritz Carlton, and Marriott resorts! A quick walk across the street, will bring you on the beach! You can also take their little shuttle, the chi chi if you don’t want to walk. You have walking access to the Palm Beach strip and popular places such as Moomba Beach Bar, Bugaloe, and the Pelican Pier! Every staff member aims to please your every want and need at Boardwalk! We were greeted with a champagne arrival toast and given a tour of our room and all its amenities. Their on site restaurant, Cocoa cafe, has delicious food and we ate there several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They come around the pool and beach where you can order dood or drinks delivered right to you! They have 2 absolutely beautiful pools, where you can always find a very comfortable seat to relax in and bask in the sun! There is ample shade provided at all the seating options. You can reserve palapas on the beach a day ahead of time! And they even provide you with a cooler and folding chairs if you are exploring other beaches! They have a fitness and spa area, where I received one of the best massages I ever got! We paid $4900 to stay for 7 days. It was my 50th Birthday celebration. Ao I wanted a unique and special experience! They definitely delivered! There was even a bottle of wine along with a Happy Birthday postcard for me in our casita! We had a second floor 1 bedroom casita that was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were comfy. They cleaned for us every day and refilled water and iced tea pitchers daily. They provide bug spray and Aruba Aloe bath products such as hand soap, lotion, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner! All were amazing! They emphasize sustainability throughout! They have little bird houses everywhere for all the tropical birds flying around, cute little nooks along their pathways to sit at, and 2 cars and a chicken that roam around the property! The cats are very cute and friendly! One of them chilled on our porch several times! Every casita has some sort of hammock or egg chair along with an outdoor table and chairs. Our hammock was so comfortable, I fell asleep in it several times! They also have a beautiful hammock hanging over the pool basked in shade! I really hope to return here one day!
Cannot say enough good about the Boutique. Perfect location, in walking distance of everything you'd need. The most peaceful, relaxing, environment perfect for our Honeymoon. Restaurant is so good, and happy hour at the pool is a can't miss. Staff is kind, and helpful!
The Boardwalk is a lovely little piece of heaven. Friendly staff, impeccable property and a charming restaurant. While it's not on the water, it's only across the street form the beach, literally a 5 minute walk ( or you can take the ChiChi with Hakeem) We spend the day on the beach in the Palapas so its a nice respite to come back to the hotel and sit by the pool or take a nap in the covered areas with very comfy lounge chairs. We have met lovely people who we plan to see next year and love that this special little place is NOT on the beach - so close and yet removed in a very nice way. We wouldn't stay anywhere else
This is wonderful, from the moment you pass thru the front gate you are truly in paradise, and you won't find anything to disappoint you.
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical feel and your own casita in a boutique hotel, this is the place! This adults only hotel sits between the Marriott and Ritz hotels across the street from the ocean. A little shuttle can take you to the beach to your reserved palapas. (Or you can stay at a mega hotel and get up at 5am to reserve your beach spot). The place is clean, comfortable and you feel like you are staying in a well appointed garden. We loved it and will be back.
this is the most amazing hotel for many reasons- i highly recommend. this feels like the one boutique, small luxury hotel on a strip full of huge, unattractive resorts. boardwalk boutique is so well designed, it’s incredibly jungle-like and lush with flowers considering the island is dry and desert-like. There are nooks and crannies through the grounds to sit a read a book or enjoy a relaxing moment. The casitas are extremely well appointed, we had everything we could need and more (fresh iced tea delivered everyday). everything was incredibly clean and spacious. The restaurant exceeded expectations. The staff is incredibly warm, not just polite and accommodating but truly nice people with exceptional hospitality. We travel a lot and rarely want to dedicate time to the hotel and ground but this was an exception. I even woke up early so I could have extra hours in the day to enjoy the beautiful pools- there are two: one is small and really quiet, and one is bigger but is shaped in a way where you can find your own corner and have a private area- this one has a bar and a hammock and the seating is nice, different types of chairs and lou gear and day beds. I really can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a magical find.
I'm hesitant to leave an exceptional review in fear this property will become impossible to book, but Boardwalk Boutique Hotel truly deserves the praise. This is our second year staying here and it was as wonderful as we remembered. It is right across from RITZ and Marriot Stellaris, with less than a 5 minute walk to their beach. The staff is friendly and helpful and the Casitas are spotless and spacious. The property itself is lush, tropical and peaceful. If you are looking for a spot for quiet relaxation, this is the place to book. Our favorite benefit is being able to reserve beach chairs and a palapa the day before. Everything is waiting for you on the beach the next morning. No early morning scramble or 'Hunger Games' dash to grab a chair. THANK YOU Boardwalk Boutique Hotel for another amazing stay. We can't wait to return.
The location was perfect. Just a short walk to our private area of the beach and close to nightlife. The entire resort was thoughtfully designed and landscaped and was absolutely stunning. We stayed in a 2 bedroom casita that truly felt like home away from home. We had a private deck to relax and grill on. The staff made us feel like family. It felt like we were in our own private paradise.
Beautiful setting, attention to detail, very clean. The casitas are spacious, with nice touches like complimentary delicious ice tea. We included daily breakfast, with many choices - all very good. We also enjoyed Happy Hour - nice atmosphere and great drinks. Overall highly recommend staying here.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this family owned, tranquil boutique hotel in a perfect spot in Aruba. It's called a hotel, but it definitely feels like a resort - with a great on-site restaurant and a spa / gym combo. The room - which they call the casita - was perfect. They are spacious, they are spread out, they all have their own balcony / outdoor area. The kitchenette was perfect for leftovers, drinks, etc. Having it stocked every day with a fresh pitcher of iced tea was an awesome touch. The resort grounds are adorable and things are spread out. The resort was full, but we never felt like we were running into many people. The two pools were spaced out nicely, in fact one was hard to find. The only thing to note - there aren't enough chairs around the pool for every room - but that's also partly because the beach is available. The beach - the space was fantastic and being able to reserve your own spot in advance was an awesome touch. There is always fresh water and drinks available via Coco Cafe throughout the day at the beach. The entire menu from Coco Cafe was also available, and brought diligently in containers to make it easy to eat. Overall - we've done a number of resorts around the Caribbean, and this is easily near the top. This was our first trip to Aruba, and I'm not sure we have a need to look at any other locations.
We had the loveliest honeymoon at Boardwalk! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by Genesis - she kindly passed along honeymoon gifts from our loved ones, even remembering our family nicknames! Her hospitality and charm set the tone for a truly wonderful stay. The property is absolutely stunning - you feel completely transported and relaxed. The food at the Coco Cafe was delicious, and when we went off the property, the staff graciously gave us directions, helped us make reservations, and called taxis. We only wish we could have stayed longer and can’t wait to be back! Don’t hesitate to book your stay here.
Lush. Tropical. Magical. We loved our time here. Seven days went by way too fast. Our casita was private, quiet, well stocked, comfortable. Coco Cafe offered good food and drinks. The staff? Accommodating, friendly, warm. Care was taken by Diana who kept our casita in good order All the front desk folks were knowledgable and helpful but Genesis in particular was memorable for her warmth, kindness and terrific personality. The grounds staff was professional and everyone greeted us wherever we went. We took the chi-chi bus and walked the 5 minutes to the beach too. In the later afternoon, we favored the tranquility pool, a little oasis. The grounds are landscaped in such a way that you never really feel as if too many people are around. It's just great. We plan to return.
A lovely oasis on the island. Located in a great area, quiet and just off the main road with a 5 minute walk / or chi-chi ride to the beach. Wonderful service, comfortable casitas, fantastic food and drinks. Beautiful, just beautiful
Very private, lush gardens around casitas, pool area very private, quaint, location, staff, private beach with huts for sun protection, chairs provided to take to other beaches. Breakfast was delicious.
Need a car and can’t walk right out onto the beach, but still walking distance to hotel beach.
We stayed here as a family and enjoyed the calm, well-kept setting. The garden-style layout gave the place a peaceful feel, and it never felt crowded. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet, which worked well for spending time together. The location made it easy to get to the beach and nearby spots without much effort. A good option for families looking for a relaxed stay rather than a large, busy resort.
From the second we stepped foot into the lobby we were welcomed by the staff who made us feel at home. All the staff were amazing but Genesis stood out for going above and beyond to make us feel special!! We were there for our babymoon and Genesis treated us like family!! Nothing but good things to say about her and our experience at the Boardwalk. We also loved the pool area which is open 24hrs and the Coco Cafe which served delicious food. We especially enjoyed the breakfast. The room was extremely clean and smelled amazing. It was also sound proof which helped with sleep! Overall we give a 10/10 and would def do it again!!!!
Staying at Boardwalk was a wonderful way to spend the week. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Every detail and design is spot on. The casita (307) was clean, quiet, brightly lit and well though out. We had chilled water and iced tea provided daily in the cool retro designed kitchenette. Located a mere five minute walk from Palm Beach, our waterfront palapas were reserved daily. We are already planning a return trip!
The lush plantings, mature trees, birds, kitties, Henry…
I literally have zero complaints.
Truly incredible experience. We booked a last minute stay because our flights were cancelled, and in a frenzy Boardwalk’s staff was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and genuinely cared about us and our situation, even though we were new guests. Specifically Arianne, Genesis, and Valery made our unplanned extended stay much more pleasant and memorable. Besides the fantastic team of staff at Boardwalk, their grounds are truly nothing I’ve ever seen before. It is like you are walking through a beautifully curated jungle to your room (which is called a “casita”), that is like a mini home. Full kitchen, gorgeous and clean bedroom and bathroom, and a full patio with a hammock, dining table, and your own charcoal grill. This is like no where I’ve ever stayed before, in the best way. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, you will be so glad you stayed here!
Boardwalk is a beautiful, lush resort with wonderfully warm and attentive staff. The property is beautifully maintained with exceptional attention to detail. It is truly a slice of paradise in Aruba!
The property is conveniently located and the all-inclusive package is excellent, with surprisingly high-quality food for a buffet. The diving facilities at the hotel are a real bonus, making it easy and enjoyable to get underwater without any hassle.
While the property has potential, a few issues made the stay frustrating. There are no phones in the rooms, which makes reaching reception extremely difficult—especially considering how far some rooms are from the main building. Getting a buggy or even walking with diving gear becomes challenging but most of the time we managed to catch one along the walk. For a resort of this caliber, basic amenities should be standard. Items such as a toothbrush, razor, and especially conditioner should be provided. Washing my hair with only shampoo available made it nearly impossible to detangle, which shouldn’t happen at a premium dive resort. There is also visible mold growing on the ceiling above the shower. For rooms marketed as recently renovated, this raises concerns about future maintenance and overall standards. The most alarming incident was when maintenance entered our room without any prior notification. We returned to find a staff member inside while all our valuables were out in the open. This left us feeling uncomfortable. Finally, the Wi-Fi in our bedroom did not work. The signal was only usable in the living area, making basic connectivity frustrating and inconsistent but it was very fast in the dining / main area.
We just arrived home from this trip. I cannot express how lovely the casitas, the property and the staff were. Exceptional. The hotel is a one minute shuttle ride to their private coveted chaises on the beach or a five minute walk, don’t let that deter you from booking. The property is intimate and beautifully landscaped. Our casita had a big patio, a large main room with a living area a dining area and a kitchen. We are frequent and high end travelers and we loved this place.
Everything from the staff to the room was perfect had a wonderful and we will return.
Our review is based on many years of travel throughout the Caribbean. We are in our mid 60s. THE GOOD: - The grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. We felt like we were in a tropical oasis. - The location is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and away from the busy/crowded area of Palm Beach. It is close to restaurants - some walkable and many a short drive (we rented a car). It is a short drive to Super Foods grocery store. - The private beach area with easily reserved (free) palapas and comfy lounges. - Very clean and well maintained cottage type casitas with a kitchenette. We had most breakfasts and lunches in our casita. - Coolers provided in your casita which we used to bring drinks/lunch to the beach. - Beach chairs can be loaned for trips to other beaches. - A quaint/romantic restaurant on property. - Daily Happy Hour around the pool. - A standout employee name Julen. He went out of his way speak with us daily. He has a great personality and is a true asset to this hotel! THE NOT SO GOOD (disappointments): - We expected a higher level of attentiveness and personalization from a "Two Michelin Key Hotel". Unfortunately the customer service felt average overall. Few staff members interacted with us or made us feel like valued guests. Genesis at the front reception area was not very welcoming or friendly. - Our casita (201) did not have an electrical outlet in the bathroom which felt inconvenient and unsafe, especially for a hotel of this caliber. The staff acknowledged this was inconvenient, but rather than offer another casita, they gave us an extension cord to run from the bedroom to the bathroom. - While the armoires were visually appealing, they were impractical. The hangers were too wide, forcing us to angle them to get the doors closed, and they could only accommodate shorter items like dress shirts and pants. My wife had to hang her dresses from a shelf in the bedroom. - If you are a sun lover, the lounges around the pool are shaded throughout most of the day. It was often difficult to find a lounge around the pool, especially in the afternoon. - The beach shuttle was spotty. We found it more convenient to walk to and from the beach rather than wait for the shuttle. - The beach area and shuttle service closed before sunset, with loungers stored and locked up. This was disappointing. We would have appreciated the option to enjoy a glass/bottle of wine while watching the sunset. Perhaps this could be considered for future guests.
Feels like a little oasis off the beaten path but still close enough to the action that you can get anywhere. Loved the pool and short walk to the beach.
Nice private jungle with pool
Breakfast buffet would have been nice
This place is truly a gem. I never really liked large buildings that take away from the aesthetics of the island. Makes me feel like Im still in New York. The cafe on the property was great. Jullien was THE BEST server that we had. So sweet, friendly and accommodating.! The restaurant food is ok to good. No major wows or flavorful dishes that were memorable. Eating out was more preferred for the people I was with. Location is very quiet which is nice so if your looking for music and vibes this is Not the place. Very clean grounds and location isnt far from the airport. real easy to get around. My only real issue was the arrival. Unfortunately you get 1 chance to make a first impression and the Young lady Genesis, at the front desk was just not welcoming or friendly. We felt as if we were bothering her. If you prime yourself on being a 5 star hotel you should know what personalities belong in the front and which ones need to be elsewhere far from guest. Also there is no one to help with the bags upon arrival. That was surprising for a hotel like this. House keeping could have been better. I can tell they didnt mop or maybe even sweep when we had the rooms cleaned. I saw the same things on the floor when i left and returned. The food platter was left in the room for 2 days even after I asked to have it discarded. 3-4 stars for house keeping. It is almost worth what the nightly rate is. Ive had greater for less. The birthday card and complimentary tray of fruits and cheeses were nice. Very cute touch. Overall I did love the stay, the colors of the place... a few staff that stood out. Just a few things could be corrected for 5 star review.
This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. A hidden away gem and secret garden with close access to the beach between the Ritz and Marriott. We were so happy we didn’t choose a big high rise. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food and drinks excellent, and the overall vibe perfection! Loved the pools, hammocks, and everything. Would highly recommend!!
My cousin and I stayed here in August and absolutely loved it. The property feels like a hidden tropical oasis, colorful, peaceful, and full of charm. Our casita was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed, including a hammock and cozy outdoor space. The location is perfect: just steps from a quiet, uncrowded section of Palm Beach with reserved palapas and great service. We were close to everything but still felt tucked away from the big-resort chaos. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and every part of the hotel felt thoughtful and relaxing. Boardwalk made our girls’ trip unforgettable. We’re already planning our return for next year!
Had dinner at the Coco Cafe’ at the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba. Amazing dinner last evening, and again this evening. A brand new menu was introduced tonight and we were fortunate to try some new items. If you love goat cheese, try the artichoke and whipped goat cheese dip with toasted sour dough triangles. It was incredible. We also had shrimp prepared two ways. So fresh and succulent. Our server Fleur was so kind and knowledgeable. Everyone who works at the Boardwalk are just an incredible group of people.
Absolutely beautiful casitas!! Excellent staff!!
Nothing.
This was the best place on earth for our honeymoon!! The massages were the best I have ever had, the whole staff is extremely nice, friendly and helpful. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting this island. It’s been an incredible experience. The rooms and grounds are extremely well taken care of, charming and beautiful. Never want to leave but can’t wait to come back!!
This was my sister and my second trip to Aruba this year. Your resort was top notch!! The front desk ladies were always very friendly and helpful. The prompt availability of taxi service and shuttle to the beach was greatly appreciated.
We realize that there is not a lot that can be done about the mosquitoes, but that was the one thing that was unpleasant. We just wouldn't return during the rainy season. Not exaggerating, between my sister and I probably have 100 bites. So because of that we felt that we were not able to enjoy sitting outside on the deck. Overall, our stay was super pleasant and we would recommend Boardwalk to our friends.
Beautiful place. Lovely beach. Excellent food. And great service. Everything you need for a perfect vacation.
nothing
One word. Fantastic. We had a wonderful time. Quiet, relaxing, short walk to the beach. Beautiful pools, great food and we can’t say enough great comments about the staff. Suzanne, Arianne, Marijn, the bartenders, housekeeping, and the list goes on. Thank you all for a really great friendly experience! We highly recommend.
We went here for our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED it!! Everyone at Boardwalk Boutique were the kindest and most helpful. The location was wonderful - just a 5 minute walk or 2 minute little shuttle ride (Chi Chi the bus!) from the crystal clear beach. This is also only a 5 minute drive to the bustling center with plenty of stores, restaurants, and more. Highly, highly recommend coming to visit here!!
Last year my Fiancée and I came specifically for the boardwalk boutique hotel. We’ve tried out basically all the hotels on the island, even the Ritz Carlton, Marriot and Hyatt, First of all the reason the boardwalk stands out from the rest is that you feel like you’re on a tropical private island surrounded by peace and tranquility instead of the over board mass tourism you get in all the other big chains Talking about the staff, everyone’s truly made us feel special, with a little card and complementary champagne because of our recent engagement. Not to mention the food was delicious We felt so at home we spend most of the time in the hotel meanwhile we usually are very active and like to explore and do tours and activities. We did try out some kiteboarding which was another highlight to the vacation. All in all we will definitely come back soon!
Our stay at the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba was absolutely wonderful! From check-in to checkout (Thank you, Arianna), every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing — perfect for adults looking for a quiet getaway. The on-site bar and restaurant were excellent, offering delicious food and drinks in a beautiful, laid-back setting (and we loved having lunch with Henry! LOL). Housekeeping service was also outstanding — our room was spotless every day, with thoughtful touches that made our stay even more comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this charming, adults-only gem in Aruba!
