Hope the pot plant is still holding up well ;) Also, the ladies in the kitchen and the manager of the guesthouse were super friendly and always very helpful. We are extremely grateful for their amazing efforts.

The showers did not work, rooms smelt like mold, and are small and with bad lighting. There was no door on the bathroom. The standard was low and what is more problematic is the claim that this is a four star.

• The host was never ready to receive us, apparently our booking was not reflecting on their calendar so I couldn’t be checked in. Waited outside for about an hour trying to contact the manager, gathering proof of my booking, proof of payment etc. It was very frustrating and the lady at the reception didn’t make it any easy. • The manager told me to wait for her she will come in 15 minutes, she never came through. • I don’t know what program Booking.com uses to engage with the property but it definitely failed me, it needs to improve please.

Only had two cups in a family room for the three of us so we had to share them, as well as the complimentary tea/coffee/ biscuit. Unfortunately, although the food itself was good, because it was pre prepared and the plates were very cold, by the time I got my breakfast to the table to eat it, it was a cold meal.

After many years of staying at Arum house with my wife ( 4 x a year) padt year we had a representative in PE who has now left the company - we will resume working in EL but after being asinged an annex room - Sadly we will never return to Arum house.
