Liked the cozy feel of the space. Quiet and calming. The people were great and breakfast lovely.

It was quiet, the room was very comfortable, the view was excellent

I contacted the guesthouse days before my arrival to tell them about late check-in. Eventually I got confirmation that that was okay. On the night I was only 15 minutes after the regular check in time (8:15 pm) and it took ages to be let in. Luckily my Uber driver was there to ring their number whilst we rang the bell at the gate. It was only after 10 minutes or so that eventually Toni appeared in her pyjamas to let us in. If t felt quite awkward. I wouldn’t go there again.

For the past 3 years I have spent 2 weeks every year at the Riverview Guesthouse, and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else during my trip to East London. The guesthouse is comfortable, clean, well equipped and the staff are friendly and accomodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. The hosts are fantastic and the view is breathe taking! Thank you for such great and reliable service. See you again next year!

The host and stuff are very nice and welcoming- they make sure you are having a comfortable stay . The river view is amazing ! Rooms are nice , clean and well resourced. The breakfast was amazing!

We got a room upgrade and since we had to leave very early the owners made us a breakfast bag each to go. It was more than we expected and so lovely.

That we could only stay one night and could not enjoy a sit down breakfast.

Andre and Toni are very lovely people and very gracious hosts. I was accommodated for my (very) late check in. Communication was seamless and efficient. The room was very clean and cosy.. the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. I had an omelette for breakfast and it was tasty. I loved their attention to detail.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely recommend. The hosts are fantastic and the rooms were beautifully decorated, neat and clean with a magnificent view of the river. I was spoiled with the most beautiful view of the sunset. The breakfast was lovely. They went the extra mile with small little details which made me feel extra welcome.

Julie was helpful and warm. She was understanding when I advised her of my travel and flight challenges which necessitated me to stay overnight in Gqeberha as our flight was re-routed. The view was incredible and gave me a sense of serenity and calm. The room was spacious. I enjoyed the breakfast Julie made me. Overall a short and sweet stay. Thank you.

Toni and Andre were fantastic hosts, being so accommodating even though we messed up the booking. The room was beautiful and clean with a stunning view and all the amenities you could need. The breakfast was also delicious

The room was neat, with a lovely view of the river. The small extra touches were much appreciated. I spent only one night there and unfortunately, I had to leave early and couldn’t enjoy breakfast. In the rush, I accidentally left behind a few items, but Toni was incredibly kind and had them sent to me via Pudo. Thank you, Toni, for going the extra mile – it truly made a difference!

The River Guesthouse is absolutely stunning with a beautiful river view. It is in pristine condition with amazing decor, and is quite impressive. The rooms are well designed, comfortable and spacious with comfortable beds, television, end tables, chairs, cabinets and countertops. The bathrooms are clean and bright with plenty of water pressure and hot water. The breakfast room is gorgeous, and breakfast is delicious and made to order. The view is mesmerizing and the pool is clean, and refreshing. Most of all, the hosts and their family are delightful, and very helpful with recommendations and directions, plus provide a wonderful booklet to navigate throughout East London. The staff were friendly, and accommodated us by doing laundry for a fee. Thumbs up to the Riverview Guesthouse for such a wonderful stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you!

Beautifully positioned overlooking the Nahoon river. Very grateful for a dip in the pool on a hot day. The room was light and airy with a large sliding window which we loved having open and looking at the view - very comfortable in every way. The freshly made fruit salad was delicious.
