Reviewed Aug 24, 2026The Onsen is nice - but unfortunately the hotel tried to charge me extra to keep the same room for 2 nights. I have to make 2 separate reservations as one night is for work and one for pleasure, so I need a separate receipt for my work. I usually contact the hotel when I make the second reservation to request that I can keep the same room. This has NEVER been a problem anywhere else (even if the room types are slightly different) and I travel in Japan often. For some reason they told me there was an extra cost? I disputed it and they didn't relent unless I paid extra. Finally, they said their was no fee if I stayed in the lower cost room for both nights. As I would have to pay extra for staying in the higher cost room for 2 nights, surely that would mean I get a discount for staying in the lower cost room for 2 nights. This was a customer service disaster.
I suggest that the hotel think about customer service rather than trying to squeeze unfair extra charges out of customers, especially regular customers. I have stayed - AND RECOMMENDED this hotel several times to colleagues. For the sake of about 20 dollars, was it really necessary to be so pedantic. I ended up changing rooms and the rooms were literally next door and almost totally identical so it wasn't like I was shifting from a economy room to a suite. In the past, I have written rave reviews about this hotel. NOT THIS TIME.

De kamers waren vrij klein en het hotel is met name ingesteld op Japanse reizigers. Personeel sprak heel beperkt Engels, maar waren wel bereidwillig en gastvrij.

I think staff were a bit hesitant with English speaker, but quite helpful and everyone has the translator apps on phone.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026福井本来就是个游客量不大的地方，像个小镇，给人非常悠闲的感觉，因此住在这里也感觉很舒服和轻松。 酒店的装潢非常新颖，员工也很亲切。 最给力的是酒店的温泉，虽然不大但好舒服，我几乎是独享了一个下午。 当然酒店的房价比较高，但我觉得是值得的，在这趟北陆的多地之旅，福井是最让我放松身心的地方 ，因为目标就只有一个，就是带孩子来恐龙博物馆，所以我得以在酒店度过了一个悠闲的下午！

Reviewed May 15, 2026I like that the reception were very willing to help. I was being clumpsy and they were there to assist me. I stay for 2 nights and had 2 breakfasts. I tried both the western as the Japanese breakfast. They were both great options. They also had a salade and sweets bar. Drinks were also available. There was also a wellness area, but I have a tattoo and I was not allowed (ah, why did I ever get 1 tattoo).
It might have been me, but I found that I was getting light headache in the room. Don't know why. Maybe the air circulation. I rarely get headaches, so it was weird for me. Once outside, everything was fine.

Reviewed May 8, 2026Das Hotel liegt direkt am Bahnhof und eignet sixh super um die Region zu erkunden. Es hat kleinere Zimmer, in denen man aber immernoch gut zu zweit sich aufhalten kann, wenn die Koffer auf dem Boden am Rand liegen. Überragend ist der Onsen, der sowohl bei Damen und Herren über ein hübsches Außenbecken verfügt.
Wir fanden die Bettdecke sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, sie rutschte nachts immer vom Bett und war für 2 Personen schon eher sehr klein.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026The Hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Fukui Station. The staff were very friendly at check-in. The single room had enough space and the bed was a good size. The bathroom looked new and clean. The hotel's hot spring had 3 different baths and a sauna, with relaxing decorations. It definitely checked all the boxes I wanted.
I don't really have anything majorly negative to say. The bed was a good size but it was a little hard and the bed sheets felt a bit plasticky, but it wasn't that bad.

朝食で、和洋を最初に選択しなくてはならず、選択肢が限定されてしまうのが残念であった。ホテルでの朝食は基本的に洋食だが、地元の味覚にも挑戦して楽しみたい。

I also enjoyed that the hotel had public baths, very relaxing after a day of walking non-stop around Fukui! Food there was good also - you have the option to experience a traditional Japanese breakfast or a western breakfast.
