Loved being slightly away from town and almost into the bush, but with the ease of a comfortable place to stay. Great shower and the ice maker was a bonus. We enjoyed sitting out on the verandah looking up at the stars.

This is a rustic setup which was sufficient for our one night stay. We appreciate the electric mattress warmers and the kitchen full of amenities, though we didn’t use it. Otherwise the facility was pretty basic.

For the price I would have expected a higher grade experience.

The views are incredible. We did about half of the "pink" short hike and it was so nice, a breath of fresh air and nature all around with birds chirping in the valley. Can't wait to come back and do a much longer stay. The cabin was great, comes with aircon, heated blanket and the cookware was great too. There was no signal but the wifi worked really well.

The fridge was a bit noisy but that was expected and we're light sleepers so we just switched it off. We couldn't get the hot tub hot.... Burnt through two bags of wood and it was luke warm - not sure why, maybe it was just too cold or we did it wrong.

First of all the setting is magnificent. The cabins was well equiped. We love cooking so was great to have proper knives and cooking utensils. Even an ice machine! The communal lapa was also great. Staff was very friendly

Maintenance is lacking at this establishment. Basin tap in the bathroom completely loose - one has to hold it with one hand in order to close the tap with the other. Shower door parts are lying around on the shower floor. (which did not look clean so we did not shower at all) Paint peeling inside and out and units are not numbered so one has to guess which is your unit. No doormat despite the mud all around. (It was raining during our visit) Left with the impression that there is no management presence at all and that the place is run on virtually no budget at all.

Basin taps in bathroom are loose and leaks.

The location and view

It was too small. The init is not maintained. The second bedroom is stuffy and not suitable to stay in. The geyser was not switched on. No dustbins in the kitchen and room. The aircon dripped on the stairs to the second room that created a safety risk. We left after 1 night of 4 to another location. I insist on a full refund.

Le lieu, le confort, la gentillesse de l'accueil, et une cuisine bien équipée. L'emplacement était vraiment top, avec Babouin, lama et tortue autour de nous.

Le logement aurait pu être parfait, mais nous n'avons pas réussi à connecter la télé ni même à utiliser le wifi pourtant proposé par le logement.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, both Piet and Mickey made sure we were promptly helped. The area was beautiful and quiet. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained and the room was perfectly cool air conditioned. All utilities for cooking and to braai were at our disposal. I will be booking with them again in future.

Location was amazing. Quiet spot in nature but only 2 km away from a beautiful town. Stars are incredible. Hot tub was a welcome treat. Ideal to relax as a couple or family. Very close to nature so just watching the animals and birds in their own habitat was special. The pool by the club house was sparkling blue and clean. Perfect to cool down on a hot day. The undercover seating area offered very comfortable chairs to relax as a larger group. Oom Piet and his electric scooter was a super host and available when needed.

The bedrooms were separated by an outside staircase so not ideal for a family with small children. The lower room does not have aircon so gets warm but fans are provided. Air frier would be a welcome addition but not totally necessary

Great location close to Prince Albert, quiet, peaceful with good walks and birdlife. Spacious accommodation and loved the ice making machine. Very stylish cabin with good air conditioning.

The fridge was very noisy and leaked. Bathroom wall needed renovation.

We were welcomed by friendly staff. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Air conditioners were switched on before we arrived, and it was wonderful to walk into the cool cabin on such a hot day. There was also an ice machine already filled with ice when we arrived. Cabin well equipped. Pool is clean and we enjoyed cooling down in the afternoon. Location is very good, close to Prince Albert, but you have the peacefulness of nature surrounding you. Amazing views, quiet and tranquil. Would definitely recommend Bushman Valley lodge. Thank you. Would love to come back.

It was so quiet and the view was stunning. We saw a few wild animals close to us... baboon, mongoose, klipspringer and birds. We got to experience really loud thunder which was amazing to see and hear and a bit terrifying 🤣

We really enjoyed the overall concept of the property — the rustic wildlife experience makes the stay truly unique and memorable. The natural surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, creating a perfect environment to disconnect and relax. The chalet was excellent: clean, comfortable, well maintained, and equipped with a very good air conditioner. We felt safe during our stay and appreciated how the structure balances the wildlife experience with comfort. It was a special family experience and we would definitely return.

The main area for improvement is the outdoor lighting, especially around the barbecue area and internal roads. After sunset, visibility becomes extremely limited, which makes it difficult to use the barbecue area comfortably and feels unsafe considering the presence of wildlife like baboons. We actually had to interrupt our barbecue because of the lack of visibility as the light faded. Installing additional lighting, possibly solar-powered, would greatly improve safety and usability. During a very heavy storm, water entered through gaps in the windows and doors. These gaps also allow mosquitoes inside the chalet, even when everything is closed. Improving the sealing or installing mosquito screens would significantly increase comfort and prevent this issue in the future. Another point is the entrance identification. Although there are signs along the road, the actual entrance is not clearly visible, especially for drivers coming from the opposite direction. We passed the entrance the first time because it was difficult to identify, so clearer signage at the entrance itself would be very helpful.

Amazing stay! Location is perfect, close to town but still feels like off the grid stay. Small touches in the cottage made this stay memorable such as a little teddy for our baby, aircons, olive oil and a dental kit.

hot water only between 11h00 to 15h00 as the water pipe runs on the surface and heat up to 40 plus degrees . Coffee and suger for one cup although I stay for three days . Feel a bit unsecured as ALLstaff leave the farm at 17h00 and the gate from the main road stay open then I was the only person there . I felt vulnerable. Anybody can drive in from the main road right to where I stayed . Parking facility for car in the sun with no protection and there are stones lying all over the road which can cut cars tyres . Most of these complaints can be resolved. Also obviously has to travel about 4 km to buy basics like bread or milk or anything to eat . I think they should keep these items so one doesn't have to drive to town to buy it .

When arriving I was greeted by the very friendly staff.There were even a icemachine full of ice waiting in my room after a long hot day on the road.

It is a beautiful area and the location is perfect for sight seeing.

The wifi was not that good

The location was just incredible. The pool set against the hills, and the stargazing was amazing. The place was also very clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and it was just a 5 minute drive into Prince Albert.

We planned for a 2 hour hike and ended up doing an over 4 hour one as it was quite easy to miss the split in the different hikes. It could be better marked. Be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes!

A really welcome beautifully appointed peaceful hideaway in a remote feeling valley but only 2km from Prince Albert. We had the best time !! Mickie at reception is fantastic and sent excellent instructions to get into the cabin.

It was not clean and the property needed some real basic maintenance, simple things like doors and latches that were not aligned

We loved the concept of this place. It is quiet and private. The place is for nature lovers. We found the cabin we were allocated really nice. The cutlery and the cooking ware is new and really nice.

I feel there is a maintenance problem. The woodwork needs attention. The doors of the cabin doesn't work properly. One of the chairs on the balcony was broken. The personnel could not fix the water flow to the the shower for 3 days while we were there. There was water to the wash basin and outside shower. The staff just keep on telling us there is air in the pipes and it will correct itself.

Chalet 5 is not suitable to accomodate elderly people

Dramatic landscape outside Prins Albert, cocooned by rugged landscape and mountains, comfortable chalet accommodation with everything needed to hand, lovely well maintained compact swimming pool pefectly located on the grounds, very friendly, helpful staff.

Having to move from chalet 1 to another due to aircon not working. Chalet 2 - no TV, no mirror in room, Aircon also not working properly but found it out after staff had left, Dirty/Old stove, Dirty kettle - use salt and vinegar to clean it

There is not much that was wrong at the property, except the entrance gate to the property that is not locked overnight

Although it’s close to the road it appears remote nestled at the foot of the mountains. You stay very close to nature and the surroundings are beautiful. The staff arranged a late check in for which we are grateful as we had a puncture that day, the accommodation is nicely sized and the unit is well equipped.

The sounds of nature so enjoyable during the day can be a little disconcerting at night
