The property is beautiful and like a little piece of paradise. It’s quiet and the rooms are lovely, comfortable with all the amenities.

There was not enough lighting in the room and when there was excessive power usage, the lights dimmed so the room became quite dark. Could not open the curtains for light due to us being in a patio room.

Dennehof has an excellent quiet location, a short walk from all the main attractions of Price Albert. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and breakfast in the conservatory was a highlight each morning. Inga & Albert were wonderful hosts, always helpful and they gave us lots of advice to ensure we made the most of our visit.

From the moment we drove through the red gate, we were captivated. Dennehof stole our hearts from the very first warm welcome to the moment we reluctantly said goodbye. Our hosts went above and beyond to recommend the perfect restaurant for dinner, despite our rather long list of preferences. Their genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Our room was impeccably clean, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally comfortable. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered—we wanted for absolutely nothing. We enjoyed one of the best night's sleeps we've had in a long time. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with cosy, warm bedding that made it difficult to get up the next morning! Breakfast was simply outstanding—truly one of the highlights of our stay. And the Red Cappuccino was the best I've had in years! The fact that almond milk was available was the perfect finishing touch. Thank you, Albert and Inga, for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return and will gladly recommend Dennehof to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality.

Unfortunately, we only spent one night at Dennehof Guest House, but we will definitely be returning. Inga and Albert are wonderful hosts who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The entire setting is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with every detail perfectly considered. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, decorated with great care and featuring high-end linen, towels, and amenities that made our stay feel truly luxurious. Breakfast was amazing—we genuinely felt like we were staying in a five-star hotel. A special mention to the lovely ladies who looked after us in the morning; their warmth and friendliness made the experience even more special. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Our group had 6 rooms, with two of those rooms booked for two nights and every person commented positively, with not one negative mentioned. The rooms were spotless and super comfortable, the owners fantastic, breakfast fresh and made with obvious care.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Dennehof Karoo Guesthouse. From arrival to departure, everything was seamless and exceeded my expectations. The warm welcome from Albert set the tone immediately. Albert went above and beyond - taking the time to explain everything clearly and even assisting me with booking dinner at a local restaurant, which I really appreciated. Both Albert and Inga’s attention to detail is exemplary. The rooms and facilities are modern, spotless, and very well maintained. The guesthouse itself is quiet and peaceful, creating the perfect environment to relax. I also found the other guests to be friendly and respectful, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding and a pleasant surprise - far exceeding what I expected. The service and hospitality from every staff member truly deserve recognition. This is a place that clearly takes pride in what they do. I will definitely be back- highly recommended.

Dennehof cocoons one in elegant, relaxed tranquility. This stay restored my soul and awakened my senses. It offers the best of the Karoo - and more. The standard set by this property is exceptional.

A beautiful property with amazing character. The service and attention to detail were truly unsurpassed. The breakfast was yummy, the baked goods and coffee outstanding and the welcome feeling in an oasis of quiet made me long to come back before I even left.

It’s rare that one has absolutely nothing negative to say. This stay was a resounding 10/10.

The hosts are very friendly and their service are exceptional. The breakfast was delicious and a lot of attention given to the smallest detail, it was served in the garden, the detail of the table settings were also beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommend!

Dennehof Karoo guest house is wonderful in every way. From the moment we arrived, Inga and Albert made us feel very special and welcome. All of the staff were beyond friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was fabulous, with extraordinary atention to detail in every element, from the towels and robes to the bed linen and pillows. Inga's breakfasts are a masterpeice in their own right. Extremely peaceful with many options for sitting in the sun or shade. Worth a trip to thre Karoo just to stay here. We will be back!

Wonderful room in a historic building. Tremendous attention to detail as beautiful towels, bedding, very comfortable bed and chairs . We loved the breakfast under shady trees . The location is perfect for bikers and hikers . The circular hike on top of Swartberg pass is an iconic 4 hour hike with stunning views towards Little Karoo. Inga made us delicious sandwiches so that we could leave early .

This is the most spectacular venue. It’s not that the grounds and facilities are so tastefully decorated or that the setting is idyllic but it’s the service that takes it to another level! Inga and Albert are always available to help with recommendations and restaurant reservations. Dennehof is a place I will always come back to and have listed it on my one of my no 1 in SA.

From our arrival we felt welcome in the relaxed atmosphere of Dennehof, a restored jewel that welcomes you after being awed by traversing the Swartberg pass. An afternoon apero was beyond expectation as host Albert surprised us with a wine tip worthy of a true sommelier. Morning breakfast was an experience they can take pride in. The hosts, Inga and Albert, come over to see how we were, if we needed anything, and if they can suggest sights, add to our itinerary, or facilitate a dinner reservation, which they did both nights seamlessly. Their professionalism strikes the perfect balance between being sensitive to boundaries while maintaining a familiarity that shows they have mastered staying attuned and being present while giving space. The space is perfectly maintained and harmonises historic elements with contemporary touches. The feel of the Karoo is present with a nod to local artisans and culture. The hard work of this charming couple shows fortunate customers where devotion and vision comes together to make one feel at home, as if you are staying with friends, and wanting to stay longer, which I hope to next time.

We had a delicious breakfast, with numerous choices, served al fresco! Really good coffee was an added bonus. The setting and attention to detail in every aspect was wonderful.

Es war rundum toll und hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen: Der Garten mit dem Bachlauf bzw. das gesamte wunderschöne Grundstück mit all den Bäumen und anderen Pflanzen, im Hintergrund die Berge, der kleine Pool, die geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmer und die Ausstattung und, und, und… Aber ganz besonders waren die herzlichen Gastgeber Inga und Albert. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und abwechslungsreich, alles wurde frisch zubereitet und die Angestellten waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Inga hat sich viel Zeit genommen und uns Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Nähe gegeben, aber auch für Unterkünfte und Sehenswürdigkeiten für den Rest unserer Reise. Danke Inga und Albert!

We stayed here the second time, and it’s always a pleasure to guest off Inga and Albert. They‘ve got good tips for activity’s and are very helpful to book your dinner. The breakfast is amazing 🤩 (especially the bread).

Next level service and friendliness

Beautiful attention to detail. We loved the fireplace in the room and used the sauna and plunge pool. I appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge.

The breakfast is very busy with loud conversations. Not the place for one-on-one quality time with your partner or reflective time, rather a place to make friends and connect with the owner. The toiletries were not high quality, shampoo made our heads itch.

Hier weiß man nicht wie man anfangen soll mit dem schwärmen. Das Anwesen ist traumhaft und so geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und haben tolle Tipps für die Weiterfahrt bekommen. Albert hat die Reservierung für das Abendessen organisiert. Inga hat soviel Geschmack und das Frühstück im herrlichen Garten war das beste auf unserer Rundreise.

Inga und Albert betreiben dieses wunderschöne Guesthouse mit viel Herz und Liebe. Jedes Detail der Anlage passt, nicht nur optisch, sondern auch technisch. Klimaanlage, Lüfter, Heizdecke Kühlschrank, Nespresso, Bettwäsche, Handtücher. Überall merkt man, dass die Gastgeber das beste für den Gast wollen. Die Frühstücksterrasse über einem kleinen Bachlauf neben einem Zitronenbaum ist so einladend. Das Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich gut. Selbstgebackenes Brot und Granola, Milch, Eier, Feigenmarmelade von den umliegenden Farmen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, kein Wunsch ist zu viel. Wir haben uns nirgendwo willkommener gefühlt. Bleibt hier mindestens 2 Nächte!

Delightful gem at the foothills of the Swartberg. Inga and Albert are gracious hosts, ensuring that our stay was pleasurable. We will definitely return on our next visit to Prince Albert, but this time we stay longer.

Privilege to stay in the oldest building in Prince Albert, that is so beautifully maintained. The Glass House fits in so beautifully as well.
