Edelweiss Lodge

Very nice hotel, few mins walk from Wilderswil station so very convenient and away from the busy Interlaken area. Very much a swiss chalet type hotel which gave this a lovely character. Felt more like staying in a big house than a hotel. Breakfast was decent and enough of variety (eggs, cereal, breads, meats & cheese, fruit etc) and replenished though crossiants were rare! The room was very big and bathroom was huge. They left 2 heart shaped Lindt chocolates for our wedding anniversay which was a lovely touch. They have lovely gardens to sit outside and enjoy breakfast or a drink. Happy to leave luggage too if you need to go anywhere.

The noise was distracting from fellow guests who walked up and down to use the shared bathroom in other rooms and also people walking on rooms above on the creaky floor sounded like they were in our room which was scary for a moment - but after the first night you get used to this - it's an old wooden hotel. Next morning a crane appeared about 7.30-8.30AM outside our window doing some maintenance on the roof - this woke us and disturbed us, it would have been nice for the hotel to inform us before or apologise afterwards. Overall though this didn't spoil our stay.

I booked a Twin Room as i was travelling with my wife. At the hotel on first day they told me that i booked small twin room and gave me a tiny room with beds in different conrners of the room. that was unpleasent. But they offered me a room change for the next day. that was nice from them, but 1st day experience was not good.

Muy buena ubicación super cerca de la estación de tren. Personal amable y atento. A pesar de tener baños compartidos siempre están limpios. Desayuno muy bueno y completo solo un poco repetitivo si estas varios días. Mi novia estaba de cumpleaños y les pedi si podían dejarle hacerle una atención y les dejaron chocolates y flores en la habitación, hermoso detalle. Te dan una tarjeta de invitado para moverte por interlaken gratis en el transporte. Tienen una heladera de uso comunitario y se puede usar el microondas. Permiten guardar el equipaje antes del check in o después del check out.

Al ser una casa de madera se escuchan muchos los ruidos al caminar y se escuchan las personas hablando de las demás habitaciones lo que implica tener poca privacidad. Si sos sensible a los ruidos con tapones de oídos estarás bien.

Muy bueno todo. Desde la disposición del personal, la ubicación, la limpieza, la comodidad, las vistas de la habitación a la montaña, todo muy bueno.

Lo único que tengo para decir es que nos tocó en una de las habitaciones que da al corredor/escaleras, y se sentía mucho, sobretodo en la mañana, el pasar de las personas. Si bien hay carteles que solicitan el silencio en ciertos horarios, todo es de madera y las habitaciones no tienen buena aislación de sonido, por lo cual las personas que pasaban o hablaban en los sectores de transito hicieron que nos interrumpiera el sueño en más de una ocasión.

Staffs are friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Price is reasonable. Thank you for the free coffee and the kettle inside the room.

Die Personal waren ganz nett und lieb. Wirlpool war sehr gut.

Lärm. Die Gebäude war ganz alt und deswegen sogar laufen war sehr laut.

besonderes Hotel mit historischem Ambiente

Ótima localização, do lado da estação da trem que leva aos principais pontos turísticos. Com mercadinho perto, ônibus gratuito na região. Café da manhã com bastante opções, muito gostoso e funcionários super atenciosos.

Estrutura antiga com carpete em tudo, faz barulho no chão ao caminhar pelo quarto e não tem ar condicionado. Fomos no verão, e passamos calor. Tinha um ventilador no quarto, mas estava cheio de poeira, sem condições de usar.

有一股牛屎味，开窗也会闻到，可能是外面的别人的菜地和小花园

Wir sind bei Dauerregen mit dem Motorrad angereist, trotz der vorzeitigen Ankunft war es problemlos im trockenen zu warten bis der Check-in auf das gebuchte Zimmer möglich war, was wiederum früher möglich gemacht wurde. Es ist ein Low Budget Zimmer gewesen, was aber in dieser Region erschwinglich und von vornherein bekannt war.

In der dritten Etage sind leider keine Gemeinschaftsbäder, nur in der 1 und 2 Etage, sollte bei der Buchung berücksichtigt werden. Wofür das Hotel bzw das Personal nichts kann ist das Verhalten der Gäste, am zweiten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes, scheinen Gäste in ihrem Zimmer essen gekocht zu haben (?) jedenfalls war der Geruch im ganzen Haus zu merken.

Solo les diría que falta agregar aire acondicionado en las habitaciones porque el ventilador que se encuentra dentro aparte de pequeño hace demasiado ruido. Y en la habitación poner una cama compartida de 2 plazas en vez de 2 juntas de 1 plaza porque es imposible dormir en pareja

Skvělý autentický zážitek. Přespali jsme pouze jednu noc v pokoji se sdílenou koupelnou, ale nebyl to problém - ani jednou se nám nestalo že by koupelna nebo WC byly obsazeny. Výborné místo pár minut od vlakového nádraží, možnost zaparkovat před vchodem zdarma a jako bonus i soukromá vířivka na 45min zdarma. Snídaně byla taky skvělá a bohatá. Určitě bychom se ubytovali znovu ;-)

Este es un hotel muy particular, que me gustó por muchos motivos, a pesar de estar en un edificio antiguo con lo que ello conlleva. Los recepcionistas encantadores y super amables. Sobre todo el chico que trabajaba de tarde, Savin... que me atendió de una manera excepcional y educada. Muchas gracias! El desayuno muy completo y todo fresco. El jardín es precioso y grande. Se puede salir a desayunar, cenar... Un lugar encantador. Se puede usar el jacuzzi gratis y disfutar de las vistas del jardín y las montañas. Super recomendable. En la tercera planta hay un frigorífico con congelador donde puedes dejar la comida y bebida. Se puede coger agua y hielos en la recepción del hotel. Los baños compartidos de la segunda planta están muy limpios y siempre había uno libre, por lo que no tuve que esperar. Hay parking gratis del hotel en la puerta. Plazas limitadas hasta que se llena. Está a dos minutos de la estación de tren donde hay parking. Es recomendable ir a Lauterbrunnen en tren, pues el pueblo es pequeño y muy turístico. En el hotel te dan un vale para ir a Interlaken en transporte público.

La habitación doble de dos camas del tercer piso es un poco incómoda si eres muy alto y resulta pequeña por su distribución. Uno de los colchones es cómodo y el otro no tanto. Aún así tiene su encanto y hay un balcón con sillas donde puedes salir a tomar el fresco. También dispone de un ventilador. Si hace calor se pueden abrir las ventanas y corre el aire bastante. Hay que subir por escalera. El resto del hotel hace que esto no sea un inconveniente

I liked everything 😊 Amazing view, nice personal, good breakfast, coffee and tea and sink in the room. Courtyard. Location, proximity to the station. Hairdryer in the room. Soap, shampoo in shared bathroom.

For me it wasn't a problem at all. I was traveling for hiking mountains with a backpack, but there is no elevator,so maybe for someone with disabilities or heavy baggage it can be a problem.

Well, the price was good for the Interlaken area. And it looked cute from the outside. (This is actually 2 hotels next door to each other and connected on the ground floor. The older one has kept its original floor plan upstairs, which means small rooms and shared baths. I don't know what it was like on the more modern side.)

Carpets, bedding, and wall treatments all looked about 60 years old.

Sunita at hotel reception was very rude, she doesnt know how to speak to clients.I asked for double bed specifically and if possible to give a room with a good view.I got a message from KEVIN from the lodge mentioning he booked a room with balcony with jungfrajoch view.aBut we were given a room with no balcony and no view and two single beds ! I was really upset since I specifically asked for double bed.When I told sunita she didnt oay any heed to us and said Kevin is new, he doesnt know any policy.How can someone blame her own colleague, thats so i professional.She was not even ready to look if any room with double bed was available.they I got really annoyed as I asked for this months before.Then she started shout at me as well !!! Both me and my husband are doctors, we are dealing patients in australia and I have never met someone this rude like Sunita.She simply could have apologised for not being able to give a room woth double bed and look for any room if its available.she later gave us another room which also had 2 single beds but it was given after a heated conversation.Very unexpected and unacceptable.

Toilet was not properly cleaned when check-in it was dirty, looks like someone used it before we arrived.

The place was great, a real piece of history a lodge dating back to the 1900s, you can't expect much with a building so old. The rooms were nice but lack any type of modernisation. If I could recommend anything I'd say to get rid of the carpets, replace some outdated furniture and paint some walls aswell as update the doors. This isn't me saying it's bad though, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. For the extremely good price you get a nice, clean, friendly and welcoming stay. We have nothing negative to say. Breakfast was great and so was the coffee. Also in an excellent location, with interlaken, grindewald and lauterbrunnen all within half an hour radius. Thanks Edelweiss Lodge, you were great we hope to visit sometime in the future.

Les photos trop vieilles le long des étages (elles font peur… hihi ) ça fait bizarre et vieux… La moquette ;( Cet endroit aurait besoin d’être rafraîchi c’est juste ça ! Les pièces sont grandes sinon tout est top ! 😊

Swiss style. Old wooden house with a mountain character. Incredible view. Wonderful location in quiet and cozy Wilderswil. Friendly staff. Everything were designed perfectly. The old furniture is so harmonizes together with the whole house in the mountain area. The best breakfast of my entire trip! Big variety of food and drinks. And a hot tub! No words to explain how we enjoyed it at the end of the day! I am delighted with our stay at this hotel.

Es un hotel antic, no te aire acondicionat i fa molta calor per les nits, sobre tot si tanques perquè no entrin bitxos. Pero el pitjor es que es de fusta i si tens veïns que no paren, no dorms gaire. L’esmorzar es justet, excepte el cafè falta varietat i qualitat en els productes

침구가 무척 편안했어요. 에어컨이 없어서 걱정했는데 스위스 빌더스빌에서는 여름에 에어컨이 필요없는것 같아요. 에어컨을 사용하지 않아도 땀한방울 나지않는 날씨고 잘땐 이불이 필요한 온도였어여. 잘 쉬다가여. 1층 숙소에서 융프라우요흐 가 보여서 너무 행복했어요.

工作人员特别是前台很好！我妈妈突发高血压，前台的工作人员甚至跑回家借我他爸爸私人的测压仪。非常感谢🙏

或许增加一些急救设备？

Old and charming hotel, beautiful building, interier, and fantastic view from a window. Very close to train station. Good and helpful staff, nice and overall very good breakfast, quiet. Decent rooms. beautiful pastoral garden nearby.

I expected shared facilities, but did not expect them to be on another floor. It was not convenient at all, particularly after exhausting hiking in mountains, or in nights. I did not feel it is reflected in a price. Maybe it is worth to change one room to a bathroom facilities on the same upper floor. Otherwise the hotel is fine.

Simple, accueil tout en douceur et avec le sourire. Le lieu est calme, avec un magnifique jardin fleuri, à deux pas de la gare et idéalement situé pour monter vers la Jungfrau.

L'hôtel est mal insonorisé, les parquets grincent et on entends les voisins... mais cela peut donner un charme au lieu 🤪❤️

Super emplacement, l’hôtel est situé à 3 minutes à pieds de la gare dans un charmant village.

L‘hôtel est bruyant. C’est très mal isolé. On entend tout ce qui se passe dans les couloirs, dans la rue, et les voix dans les chambres ou si un client utilise des WC. Difficile de trouver le sommeil. Pas de frigo en chambre (mais il y’a tout même un frigo à partager avec les autres guests au dernier étage!). Ca n’a pas été un problème pour moi mais il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. A garder à l’esprit pour celles et ceux voyageant lourd, ayant une poussette ou des problèmes de mobilité

Location near station, friendly staff, flexible check-in hours on a Friday night. Breakfast included although I didn't get to try sue to an early departure. The room was clean and comfortable.

Itt was a bit noisy - guests were leaving early for a race and we're not very respectful, not the problem of the Lodge, but sound did travel.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming historic hotel. The building is beautiful and full of character, and the lovely flower garden creates a relaxing atmosphere. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the bus stop and train station. A special thanks to Sunita at reception, who was incredibly warm, professional, and always happy to provide helpful travel information and recommendations. The hotel also offers excellent value for money, and we would happily stay here again.

The only thing we missed was a TV or a small bar/lounge area where guests could relax in the evening. Adding one would make the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, right next to the train station, with plenty of shops nearby for anything you need. The view was absolutely amazing—we could see the beautiful mountains right from our room. The combination of the great location and stunning scenery made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.🩷

The only downside was that the soundproofing could be better. We could hear people walking in the room above us, especially their footsteps. Also, when it was windy, the window shutters banged loudly, which was quite noisy and disturbed our sleep. Other than that, everything else was great.😊

Excellent location, lovely host and staff, lots of facilities like microwave/ fridge.

Place was clean and the toilets were cleaned regularly but being shared toilets and personally someone who is excessively crazy about a clean toilet, I felt it could have been better. But the toilets were cleaned everyday.

I liked the room was comfortable, breakfast really good! The garden was amazing and the views! Pretty nice location close to the train station. The staff were really nice and helpful.

I didn’t like that you could hear everything from the other rooms. And it didn’t have AC in the summer it’s really hot. But there are a lot of windows that can stay open during the night and it’s not as hot.
