Yeah I fell in one of the pools in the riad as there was no lights on in the room and totally messed up my holiday laid up now with a twisted ankle and a mountain I was meant to climb witch I didn't get to the top the room was like a small match box not room to even move let alone put to bags in and as for breakfast was S××T so if u want to waste your money stop there will never see me again

Room,breakfast and the fact u have a pool in the middle of it with no lights on let alone no warning barriers round it total joke of accommodation

L eau de la douche ne s écoulait pas correctement nous avons compris la veille du départ qu’il fallait enlever le couvercle du siphon..

cosa mi è piaciuto: estetica del luogo, pulizia più che sufficiente, colazione buona.

la stanza che avevo prenotato non è quella che mi veniva proposta in fotografia (era letteralmente uno sgabuzzino con dentro un letto singolo e nel bagno non riuscivo neanche a sedermi per quanto erano ristretti gli spazi), lo staff non troppo disposto a collaborare quando avevo chiesto una semplice stampa del mio boarding pass (ho dovuto andare in un vecchio riad in cui sono stati molto più gentili per stampare). Piscina gelida non riscaldata, quindi inutilizzabile.

Geen ligbedden op het dak. Te kleine badkamer (mn douche en wastafel). Geboekt met booking.com. Er werd een hoger bedrag van mijn creditcard afgeschreven dan vooraf afgesproken. Prijs van de kamer vind ik te hoog voor wat je krijgt. Marrakech is in alle opzichten te toeristisch en te duur geworden, dat is jammer. Maar het blijft een fantastische plaats. Locatie is top, maar zodra de winkels dichtgaan is het geen prettige wandeling om bij de riad te komen, met name het laatste stukje voelt niet fijn, zeker als je alleen bent.

Staff were kind, rooms were clean, very helpful staff and I could leave my bag there when I went on a excursions.

Shower had no pressure, everything felt old and many fittings broken, the hairdryer was daw away from a mirror, no restaurant for lunch or dinner even though they said there is, room was tiny with no space to open my case except right in from in the bedroom door, no black out curtains so the light from the hallway shined all night in to the room. It just felt tired and in need of a renovation

Amazing two-night stay at the Riad Africa. We booked a twin room for me and a friend while passing through Marrakesh. Easy to find, with a Kech cab taxi booked at airport. It is close to a busy upmarket area of the medina, the rooms were clean, well equipped with everything you could need, including glasses and a fridge. The pool in the central courtyard was ideal for a dip in the heat of the afternoon, with gorgeous towelling robes to relax in. Staff here were endlessly friendly and helpful, with a special mention for Nordine. He was knowledgeable and charming. In all, I would wholeheartedly recommend as a great choice of amazing value for a comfortable stay in a well-located spot.

We had an evening meal, which was authentic and tasty, if a little over-priced for what you would get in restaurants nearby. Convenience, I guess. Breakfasts were a little limited when we were there with a buffet, but then everyone tended to breakfast at the same time.

This is a nice Riad tucked away down z side street. It was very peaceful and comfortable inside and the staff were very helpful.

Breakfast only starts at 8am and I needed it earlier. On the second day they gave me a breakfast bag which was OK.

The staff were outstanding — especially Hassan, who helped us with a lost phone, laundry, and local recommendations. Comfortable beds, working AC, and a large TV. Clean pool and beautiful rooftop terrace with lots of space to relax. Good location and overall charming atmosphere.

Our room was in the secondary building, which felt slightly neglected compared to the main riad. Small hole in the bathroom window facing the stairwell — a privacy concern. Wobbly bathroom tap that could use fixing. Not the best value for money compared to other riads we stayed at.

We had a problem with a AC unit leak. The property manager took care of it right away and offered us a complimentary spa for our trouble.

La habitación no me gustó mucho porque se escuchaba todo por la mañana. Debería de ser más barata para lo que era. Hay que tener en cuenta que no son HABITACIONES para dos personas y solo puede entrar UNA PERSONA

The breakfast was ok, the a/c was good. Reliable staff. I didn’t like the location - in the market and a lot of of cats were in the market. No cats in the hotel though which was good.

J’allais écrire un long roman pour décrire toutes les “merveilles” de ce riad, mais autant vous épargner ça : passez votre chemin, sauf si vous aimez les déceptions.

Das nette Personal, das gute Frühstück und die tollen Räumlichkeiten.

Der Eingang liegt sehr versteckt, auch wenn ich extra vom Markt durch das Personal abgeholt wurde.

The room was like a coffin, for the value I thought it was definitely overpriced!

Arrived to be told that the room I had booked was not available, and we were being put in there sister riad. At 1st I was not impressed . Once taken to the other riad I changed my mind. It was amazing, the room had everything that you wanted. Kettle, fridge, tea and coffee, smart tv and air-conditioning. Room was very clean. Only downside I can say is the shower was always cold. Breakfast was amazing and and the hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble. They even gave my wife and I a amazing evening dinner for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again.

Me hospedei de ultima hora e apenas por algumas horas no Riad. O rapaz que me atendeu foi muito gentil e educado. Fiquei num quarto (pequeno, mas confortável e ok para uma pessoa) com ar condicionado. Foi ótimo. O Riad é lindo, bem estilo marroquino, mas não aproveitei o ambiente pois só fiquei lá por algumas horas.

Como fiz a reserva de ultima hora, o receptionista nao tinha meus dados, e demorou para obter a resposta do "gerente" para liberar o quarto.

Frukosten var bra

När jag kom till rummet så var det fullt med vatten. Det visades sig att när de hade tvättat rent altanen hade de råkat spruta in vatten i rummet. Jag frågade om jag kunde byta rum men de gick de inte med på utan de torkade bort vattnet. Men rummet och framför allt toaletten var smutsig. Vidare var hotellchefen allmänt otrevlig.

Fantastic stay - nothing to improve!

My daughter and I had a good stay at this property. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was pretty small and didn’t drain very well. There was some construction noise early in the morning, probably work going on in one of the adjacent rooms. Since it happened on the day we were leaving, we didn’t bother to bring it up with the staff.

The breakfast every morning was excellent. The staff was very attentive.

The entire experience was very enjoyable.

Location was excellent to explore medina.

The drinking glasses in the room were very dirty, clearly hadn't been washed since previous stay. The drawer had wrapper of crisps in it. Towels were very worn out and some torn with old stains on them. Very disappointed by the cleanliness and maintenance of basic amenities.

Not sure if the hype of this place lived up to expectations upon reading reviews. The host is lovely and more than welcoming however everything runs on “African time” so don’t expect to do anything on time. Its sometimes a nice change from the chaos outside the riad in Marrakech streets, but difficult with a hungry toddler. The property is well maintained, but down a quiet dirty street. The service was slow and they were unable to keep up with breakfast demand. The roof terrace was nice but worn and most of the shades broken.

- Great location not far from the main square. - Spacious and quiet terrace to relax. - Good and tasty breakfast. The staff also kindly prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early start one morning. - Traditional architecture albeit in need of a bit of a refresh.

- Parts of the riad were in need of modernising/refreshing, for example the terrace furniture was showing signs of age and other parts were a bit tired. - Room didn't feel the cleanest we'd ever stayed in but did the job for the 2 nights we were there. - As other reviews have mentioned, this size of room (safari twin) is small - with narrower than usual single beds - but was fine for a short stay. [NB you likely wouldn't want to swim in the pool, it is more of a decorative feature].

I had to wait a long time for the room, despite it being ready. The owners also talked in their language about us and it made us uncomfortable.

Close and walkable to most places of interest. Didn’t get to spend lot of time at the property as I had a packed short trip but they have nice rooftop space to relax and enjoy

Beautiful location, room was comfortable, breakfast was a feast and it was very convenient for the Medina, Jemaa al-Fnaa, and transfer to the airport. Riad Africa made us unfailingly welcome. We had to make some last minute changes to arrangements and Riad Africa were very helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay and would recommend Riad Africa to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

We really loved everybody's hospitality and their willingness to help. Saeed, especially, was an absolute gem. Genuinely, the people of Morocco are some of the highlights of the world, and Saeed and the rest of the staff embody that. When we go back to Morocco, we will 100% be staying at Riad Africa again.

Grimy, the pictures are misleading it's not as fresh in reality, breakfast served by people in outside coats (??), the place could be super just needs staff training on hygiene...dare I say ...get some women involved and it will be more welcoming and a better standard

I stayed at Riad Africa for 7 nights. The staff at the Riad are well trained, helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to ensure that my stay was great. Staff were always willing to explain things to me and answer any questions either about the Riad or about activities and places I wanted to go. The staff were not just there to run the Riad, but were concerned that their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The chef is excellent, he produced delicious food every single night.

I would have liked my coffee glasses to be changed for clean ones daily, rather than rinsed out in the bathroom!

The heater worked well in the room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi works well. Food is buffet and good. Location is good, but a little hard to find.

The room was very-very small, the bed was hard and shorter than me and the blanket is not comfortable. There is not much space for your legs at the toilet if you are sitting down. I selected this riad for the heated pool (as it was written on the booking page), but none of the pools was heated (and the workers did not want to heat it up because of vaporation). So I paid a lot more than what this small room would worth it.

The location was perfect for walking around the medina. I enjoyed starting my day with breakfast on the rooftop. Redouane and his staff made sure I had everything I needed.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Recommendations were provided for local excursions and restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed. There was great communication from the hotel and all airport transfers were arranged brilliantly.

You have to order food. I asked for food and they said they could not give me. I asked for breakfast too, but I was too late. They did offer to make something after, but I declined.

The rooms were comfortable. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast! I like we could get fruit and youghurt. Excellent

The breakfast was good, with local Moroccan foods, tea, and coffee, My room was small, but had everything I needed for one person. The room was very clean and cleaned everyday. The hotel location was perfect for the souks and attractions.

There was a group of people staying in rooms next my room, they were very noisy, sometime shouting up until 03 00 am, which made it very hard to sleep.
