Muy buena experiencia. La ubicación es excelente y la familia es encantadora, muy amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos y bien recibidos durante toda la estancia. Sin duda, lo recomendamos y volveríamos.

La amabilidad del personal, están pendientes de ti y de tu bienestar. Y el desayuno también muy bien.

La habitación necesitaba bastante mantenimiento y no tenía aire acondicionado, por lo que pasamos mucho calor, al ser solo una noche no supuso un gran problema.

Хороший номер за эти деньги. Отель расположен в удачном месте: 5 минут пешком до пляжа, из окна видно океан. Вблизи много кафе и ресторанов со вкусной едой. Есть небольшой магазинчик за углом. Владельцы отеля - очень приветливы и учтивы, всегда откликаются, если возникают какие-то проблемы.

Номер выглядит немного "уставшим". Хотелось бы более частную смену белья и уборку. Возможно, требуется реновация

L'accueil, la disponibilité et l'extrême gentillesse de nos hôtes. Ranni et son époux ont répondu au mieux à toutes nos demandes, ce sont des personnes très attachantes. L'hotel est à 50m de la plage et au centre de tous les commerces. Il est situé au bout d'une petite allee donnant sur la rue principale.La chambre spacieuse et la salle de bain étaient d'une propreté éclatante. Le lit king size était très confortable. La chambre bénéficiait d'un petit balcon. Des ampoules aux 2 lampes de chevet et tout aurait ete parfait...😆

Le prix de la chambre avec clim un peu élevé. Le petit dejeuner assez basique pour son prix. Enfin, la photo de la chambre ne correspondait pas à la chambre attribuée... moins jolie...!

La habitación estaba muy encerrada, sin posibilidad de un balcón o jardín para poder estar un poco fuera. Le faltaba mantenimiento y limpieza

Quand on quitte New Rani In on se dit qu il faut absoluement revenir. La famille de Rani est très chaleureuse, efficace, tout est parfait. L emplacement est idéal, à 200 mètres de la plage et 30 minutes de l aéroport.

Omistajat olivat todella mukavia ja auttavaisia. Sijaintina loistava. Kauppa ihan vieressä, ja ranta lähellä. Rauhallinen ja iso huone. Ehdottomasti suosittelen tätä kohdetta.

Great owner/Host

Excellent accommodation wonderful owners they make you feel like family

Rani and her family welcomed me with open arms, providing clean and comfortable accommodation in a great location of Negombo. Nothing was too much trouble, Rani's hospitality made this place special. It's worth paying the extra US$4 for an AC room.

Location

The Management. On my arrival, they demanded double the price which showed in booking.com at the time i made the reservation. Since i did not agree, they asked me to leave the hotel even after i occupied the room.

Breakfast was fine. I opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast. There was excellent free WiFi. Very smooth, no buffering. New Rani Inn is an established family run guest house. Everyone was extremely helpful.

We stayed at Rani’s for 3 days and it was very comfortabel. We had a good time a very good curry!

The breakfast was good, the landlady gave our children more toast on request. She was very welcoming and kind, helpled us organize a boat trip on the Negombo Lagoon, which was a great start to our Sri Lanka holiday.

The rooms had no air conditioning.

Good and nice

My friend and I were spending two nights at this location. Rani (friendly owner) arranged a taxi from the airport to our home stay. The family is super friendly. Rooms are clean and it’s super close to the beach which we really like!

For two nights we payed €33, this price seemed fair to us for an accommodation in Asia, but... They charge more for additional stuff. For example fan wasn't working so we had to use the airco. They asked €8 per night for using it. We said we would only pay €5 for two nights Breakfast was €8 and dinner was €10. With taxi it was €98 (taxi was €17) This price is way too high. When we go out and eat somewhere on the streets (lunch/dinner) it’s always around €4/€5. The room was clean but, so if you don’t mind the high prices for food, then it’s ok. I guess ;)

Service Is vert kind, Rani Is very welcoming and helpful and his driver Nirmal was very professional and kind. The location Is perfect,on the main street and close to the beach. Room and bathroom with enough space and clean towels and sheets

Our flight was at 23:00 p.m. while the check out was at 11:00 a.m. The great family was happy to help us that we could still take a shower in the evening without any extra costs.

Amazing value for money, room was clean and spacious and breakfast delicious. Also the place is run by a lovely family who speak great English so easy to communicate. Will come back next time I visit Sri Lanka!

Lovely place. Lovely family. Rani's energy is amazing. Cherish all the memories of the time I spent here. Staying here every time I arrive to Lanka, and hope to do it again. Rani is more of a friend to me already than a hostess. Mixed banana-pineapple juice is a must-order thing.

We were pleasantly surprised by the whole place to be honest. We only needed a place to stay during the day as we had a flight just after midnight, so we picked a cheap hotel near the beach. The hotel itself looks very nice from outside and the rooms are well set out and kept very clean. Sadly we didn't get to sleep on the bed as it and the pillows provided were the most comfy in our whole trip round Sri Lanka. The hosts Rani and her husband are delightfully friendly people and just lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We had an issue with aircon and hot water, but it had not been raised by the previous tenant of 8 days and when we realised and raised it with the owners it was too late to get a technician. One was arranged for the very next day.

The bathroom was dirty and it looked like it was not cleaned in a while. tiles were full of strains. The bed looked decent but there was no mosquito net and a lot of mosquitoes in the room- had to hunt them down during the night.

The family who runs the business is very nice people.

The owners were really helpful and friendly! They helped us with our next destination transportation and gave us some advices for our trip. They also prepared an early breakfast for us, so we were able to get our bus early too, to avoid the hot weather. The room was comfortable and spacious. We will definitely stay here again, at the end of out trip :)

This simple family run hotel is very well located, cheap, clean and you will be treated like a friend! We just loved to be guests here, enjoying the sweet hospitality and good food of Rani and Sarat. We will come back here after our round trip in Sri Lanka and we are looking forward to stay here again!

Wonderfully welcoming and helpful hosts. Comfortable bed, clean room, good shower and food. 1 minute walk from the beach where I enjoyed a swim in warm ocean water just a couple of hours after my long flight. Close to restaurants and shops but away from immediate street noise (though being a town you may wish to bring ear plugs as things may change from night to night). I arrived jet-lagged in Sri Lanka and Rani, who speaks excellent English, welcomed me with a lovely fresh juice. Very relaxing to stay with her and her husband who is also excellent cook. Rani helped me a lot with a travel challenge I had to deal with and they helped me buy an electrical adaptor at a shop almost next door. I would definitely like to stay with them again if I visit Negomobo again.

Only plus thing is it's near to the beach. Location is good.

1. Water quality is not good even for bath. During day time heated water coming from every tap can't wash even hand. Too hot to use. 2. Room is not comfortable - mosquito available and room temperature is very high even we use fans 3. No universal power sockets in the room - facing difficulty with charging the phones. 4. Some mentioned facilities not available. Eg. Wifi, hairdryer.

The owners are really lovely and helped us organise our last day in Negombo, including a driver to the airport. The double room was clean and simple, just what we needed! It has good wifi. The Inn is based on a side road so quiet.

We were in contact with Rani Inn before we arrived in Sri Lanka to arrange airport pickup. Throughout our stay (3 nights) the owners were very helpful and welcoming. We had lovely breakfast, the room was clean and a comfortable bed. We are going back for a night more before we leave SL. Can highly recommend this place.

Rani is the most friendly and helpful host in town. The location of the hotel is very good.

We where let down by our original booking and Rani hotel took us in with a great price. We extended by 5 days and loved our stay. Helpful and accommodating owners, it was the biggest room we have stayed in, the AC worked great and the rooms where clean…..and cleaned again after a few days with fresh sheets etc. It was literally 1 minute walk to the beach! Would recommend!

Rani and her family are such a lovely people and perfect hosts. They made us feel really welcome in Sri Lanka and gave us lots of useful tips. The room is big and comfy with the balcony and comfy bed with mosquito net. Breakfast is delicious and they can cook for you the best Sri Lankan curry 😍 We was worry at the beginning that there is no hot water but trust me - you will be glad about it cause Negombo is a hot place and cold shower is what you really need. The location is good, close to the shops, restaurant and the beach. When we back in Negombo we will definitely stay with Rani again!

We were made to feel welcomed straight away by the hosts, great service provided by this lovely family. We had great breakfast every day and lovely home cooked curry. The room was spacious, clean and we also had acces to balcony which was a plus. There is also a mosquito net around the bed which was a life saver.Cannot recommend enough.

The owners were very helpful. Great location. Useful for the first or last night before leaving the country. The only thing I would improve is to put a mosquito net on the windows. My room didn't have it so I had to keep the window closed, and being the room very small, it was very hot even if there was a fan.

We stayed here for 8 days in late January. I agree with all the previous, positive reviews. This hotel ticks all the following boxes: pleasant owners, free wifi, budget cost, lovely breakfast, reliable a/c, comfortable beds, hot shower and convenient location. We will be returning at the end of our trip in March and are looking forward to it!

I was coming to Negombo to go on a food tour with a group. I arrived a few days early. I thought I was booking the hotel where the tour started and found to my surprise I had booked the New Rani Inn by mistake. It turned out to be the next mistake ever. Rani was sooooo helpful. She arranged an excellent tuk tuk driver for some local tours plus a driver to take me to a national park 3 hours away. I am so grateful that I stayed at Rani.

Good location closed to the beach and restaurants

Right across the street from Negombo Beach, this basic yet cosy accommodation is perfect for tourists who come here to enjoy the island not the hotel room. We stayed here for two nights. The owners are very helpful and nice people. They help you with organizing your trip and give you tips for exploring negombo. Also their curry is very delicious! The breakfast was okay. The rooms are big and clean. The beach is just across the street. We really enjoyed our stay there!

My stay at Hotel Rani Inn was very good. It is a calm place to lay down and relax. The locale is away from the busy city life and a wonderful place to have a nice beach walk.

I stayed at Rani's place 3 times and it feels like a second home to me! The owners are the best. The rooms are really nice, big and they have a balcony, clean and nice bathroom (good shower!). Location is perfect. The beach and shops are near, bus stand is just in front of the street. The food is just excellent, the fresh fish is super jummy!! There is a good reason I came back twice, and will do it again when I go to Sri Lanka!

We were there for our second night in Negombo. It's nice place. Good owner and pleasant staff. Not far from beach, which isn't very beautiful and clean. Two thing irritated us: lots of mosquitos and noise in the hall.

Just as Negombo is one of the best holiday places in whole Sri Lanka, New Rani Inn is the most pleasant lodging there. You don’t believe me? I’ve just returned from my fourth stay there, and this was not my last time. What makes this place so unique? – near to the beach, in the middle of all kinds of services and only 2 km distance to the city center – spacy and well equipped rooms, which outshine even many hotel accommodations – really nice owners and staff, who help in all cases – one of the best food places along the beach road. But – do you miss the pool, a sunbed, the beach aside? No problem! Rani Inn has a contract with the Golden Star Beach Hotel, about five-minute way by feet. So you can use these facilities for only 500 rupies/day/person (= 3,50 $). Benu / Finland

We booked and fully paid via Expedia, and upon arrival were informed they had double booked and thus given away our room with no more availability. They said sorry but made no effort to help us find new lodging, which was a hassle considering we arrived at around 10pm. As far as the inn itself, the lobby looked to be under construction.
