We found nothing to dislike.

Le parking privé proposé par l’hôtel est relativement coûteux et l’accès en voiture dans Taormine est très compliqué (nombreux sens uniques, impossibilité de faire demi tour, routes à double sens très étroites et inadaptées au passage de deux véhicules, ZTL).

I loved the location of the place, very close to town and a very safe area. It was close to the funivia to catch down to the beach and also a little grocery store around the corner. I enjoyed it all very much.

What a wonderful discovery! Casa Aricò is ideally located, offering the peace and charm of a family home. It is a fantastic base for exploring Taormina. Luca and his family pay close attention to every detail, from the home's décor to the quality of the linens. Luca anticipates every need, offering valuable advice to guide you throughout your stay. Nos encantó absolutamente todo. El lugar es increíble y tiene algo muy especial; realmente se siente como un hospedaje de ensueño. Desde que llegamos, Luca nos recibió súper bien y nos hizo sentir muy cómodos y bienvenidos. La suite es espectacular, de las mejores en las que hemos estado, y la terraza es simplemente maravillosa. Ver el atardecer desde ahí fue uno de los momentos más lindos de nuestra estadía. La ubicación, la atención, la comodidad y cada detalle estuvieron a la altura. Nos fuimos felices y con muchísimas ganas de volver. Sin dudas, un 10 en todo y un lugar que recomendaríamos con los ojos cerrados.

It was an excellent location, close to everything but removed enough that it was quiet. The staff was lovely, the room spotless and cleaned immaculately every day. The breakfast was ample and prepared with loving care. The staff made you feel like a welcome guest in their home. The beach bag fully stocked with large beach towels was an amazing touch that made a huge difference for us.

The “cheeky” art was not our cup of tea. But we ignored it.

The place is in a great location - near the main square but just away from the busy streets of Taormina. Luca and his father were wonderful hosts and the breakfast prepared by Gabriella was the best we have had in Italy. They had terrific recommendations and accommodated our needs. Highly recommend!

We were impressed by the property's interior design, with beautiful and tasteful architecture throughout. The room was extremely spacious, featuring a living area and a large, very comfortable bed. The hotel's common areas are also excellent, though we didn't get the chance to use them during our stay. Our host Luca was very attentive and communicative — he was waiting for us at the agreed check-in time and gave us great tips on how to reach the property, along with restaurant recommendations and things to do in town. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from Porta Messina. We parked at Parking Lumbi, which offered a free circular shuttle bus to the city center, with a drop-off point less than five minutes from the property. The breakfast is excellent and generous, with a homemade touch, prepared by Mrs. Gabriela, an extremely friendly woman well worth chatting with.

Our only complaint is the very low water pressure in the shower. We also missed having a minibar in the room. Despite that, all the other aspects of the stay were so good that those details didn't bother us. We highly recommend it.

The location is perfect. 2 minutes walk from the old center and still very quiet. The house is like a museum, filled with pictures and paintings and vases, very unique. The view from the common area is amazing, from my room there was a nice view to the mountains to the right. Gabriela which is the hiuse keeper is very nice. She does the breakfast and the cleaning . Luca is also very nice and responsive. The rooms are beautiful. Its perfect for couples.

Not sure its "didnt like", its just important to know in advance: The common area with the view you see in the pictures is open from around 11am-12 noon time till 8pm. Then it is locked. So we didnt get to be there much.Also since its a house, you need to keep quiet, there are other guests. There is a sign with the house rules in the entrance to the common area. Also know you can ask for eggs in breakfast:-) which is great! , we found out in the last day.

I had a wonderful time at Casa Arico. The property is beautiful and felt like home, thanks to Gabriel, the housekeeper, who prepared a delicious breakfast for us and took care of us with warmth. The owner-manager, Luca, was there every morning to provide excellent sightseeing, restaurant, and daily activity recommendations. Because of them, we felt like we could truly connect with the people. We had a room with a sea view—the attached photo shows the stunning sunrise taken from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent—serene, yet only a 1-minute walk to the bus stop and a 2-minute walk to Porta Messina (Corso Umberto) and the Taormina Opera House. We also walked to Isola Bella from the property, which was a nice hike. I am so glad I chose to stay here. It was a perfect stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in … The room was beautiful with a very tasty and delicate decoration everywhere in the place. The breakfast was very good with delicious homemade cakes. The location is very quiet and close to the historic Centro. Luca is a great host and makes us feel home. He is very helpful and gives very good advice with the places and restaurants to go to. This experience made our stay unique in Taormina. We deeply recommend it.

A beautiful property full of art. Luca and Gabriella made us feel like honoured guests, looking after every aspect of our stay. Location was quiet but only moments away from the historic centre of Taormina. Fabulous breakfast too. Highly recommended.

Gabriella was the only staff member that we encountered and she was most pleasant.

What you don’t know until you check in, is that this property is Luca’s at family home and his father lives on site and walks around spying on you. It’s not welcoming to use the rest of the property and the rooftop patio is kept locked.

The property was exceptional. You are staying in a warmly decorated and curated home. The staff were friendly and so accommodating. They helped us with parking, luggage and suggested places to eat.

The location was excellent, close to the restaurants and other amenities of Taormina, with fantastic views over the bay. Having someone to take charge of our hire car and park it for us, then bring it back when we were leaving was very much appreciated as driving through the narrow streets of the town isn't the easiest. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of pastries, fruit, eggs, yoghurt etc and including gluten free options - all cheerfully served by the very helpful Gabriella!

It would have been great to have a small fridge in the room and a kettle to make tea or coffee. Although the property provided a bar service, this didn't operate after 8.30 pm.

Luca was extremely helpful and responsive, arranging valet parking which was a huge help given the narrow and steep streets. The suite, located in his family home, was both comfortable and charming — with beautiful touches and a welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect: quiet, but just a short walk from everything we wanted to see and do in Taormina. Luca also gave great restaurant recommendations that helped us avoid tourist traps and enjoy a more local experience.

Amazing accommodations! Luca was such a great host! Even before we arrived in Taormina, he checked in with us and made sure we were all prepared for our arrival. Gave us great recommendations and things to do. Made us feel at home and very comfortable. Arranged parking for us as we were arriving with a car. Location was great as well. Close to everything, but far enough away to give some space from the crowds. Breakfast was delicious as well. Gabriella who ran the breakfast was super nice and lovely. Overall, a wonderful stay and experience, and we would definitely stay with them again!

The property is a beautifully stylish boutique hotel with the most amazing rooftop terrace. Everything about the decor has been carefully thought out and our room had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Even toiletries and beach towels! Luca was the perfect host and the breakfast laid out every morning was superb. Add to that the location, just minutes from the old town, and it couldn’t have been better.

As previous reviews have said Casa Arico is a perfect stop over point in Taormina for those like ourselves who prefer small, owner run establishments to big impersonal hotels. Whilst Casa Arico is a little tricky to find ( even with Waze) our host was very helpful in guiding us. He has a link up with a private car park and our car was collected and returned by a very helpful driver. Using this facility is strongly recommended as driving and parking in Taormina is a nightmare! Location of the property is perfect. Quietly situated yet only 5 minutes walk to the main street. The very quirky (in places) but stylish decor is a real feature. Our room was large, tastefully furnished and with a nice little balcony. Bathroom worked well. Excellent breakfast served . We loved it!

Luca, the owner, was absolutely amazing—he genuinely cares about his guests. We’re incredibly grateful for his help during our three-day trip in Taormina. When our flight was delayed and we missed our pre-booked taxi, I contacted Luca, and without hesitation, he personally drove to Catania Airport to pick us up. That generous gesture saved our entire vacation plan. The property itself is beautifully designed—comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained. The lady who prepared breakfast was also incredibly kind, making us feel like part of the family. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful art pieces, cozy atmosphere and wonderful location. The service is remarkable, with amazing recommendations what to visit and where to eat. The breakfast was also delicious. Every detail perfectly thought of!

What an awesome escape this place is.. you’re quickly away from the crowds enjoying your own balcony or the roof deck overlooking the ocean. Luca spoiled us and was always immediately responsive to questions via WhatsApp and provided very useful information for sightseeing and meals - all just steps away. The breakfast is excellent. We drove and the shuttle from Lumbi parking was quick and easy.

The host Luca was very helpful and gave us a list of recommendations from a local resident. We also really liked Gabriela, the sweet lady who served us breakfast! Such a wonderful person!! Casa Arico is in a great location close to Taormina's main attractions, heaps of restaurants, shops and the bus station. So we took the bus from Catania and then it was just a 10min walk into town. You can easily reach the beach as well. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. The common area and the rest of the house are also very beautiful. Gabriella who made breakfast was lovely. The view from the terrace is also fantastic. Luca, the owner gave us many tips for restaurants etc as well.

We didn't like that we were reminded of the rules for the common areas multiple times. One time would have been enough. It felt like being told off even though we hadn't done anything wrong. A kettle in the room would be good. The cleaning lady also threw one of my soaps out, which I wasn't impressed by. They did respond to my concerns but the damage was done. Breakfast choices were also quite limited. There was barely any fresh fruit and only white bread. Every day was the same as well. I know it is a small placd but it still would have been great to have a bit more varierty. However, when we asked Gabriella she did try to accommodate our requests as much as possible. The father of Luca was a bit grumpy and not very welcoming:-( It would also have been good to learn about the tours on offer before our arrival.

Great visit to Taormina in a fabulous location with family. We came with 2 small children and they were incredibly accommodating- thanks Luca. Luca was very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfasts were included and delicious-thanks Gabriella. A++++ stay. My highest compliment is to confirm that when I visit Taormina again, I will make reservations to stay here again.

I thought it was a hotel But it was B&B. I had to walk up 4th floor to my room. I had a hard time.

Luca's home is beautiful. So thoughtfully decorated and renovated. Stunning. Luca is super helpful with recommendations and was excellent in communicating. The property is situated very centrally. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

Friendly staff. Very good location in short walking distance to Corso Umberto I, the main pedestrian area of upper Taormina. Balcony with a view of the sea. Very good breakfast. Clean room. Good sound proof windows. Good communication with the manager. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A) Problems with the internet connection during our stay making the internet unusable. We talked to the management and they’re working on a fix. B) A distinkt smell emanating from the drain in the shower. Reduced smell right after using the shower. Closing the door to the bathroom and covering the drain with a (wet) towel made the smell practically nonexistent in the main room. According to the manager the problem is with the old sewage system in Taormina, and the smell is only there after bad weather with a lot of rain. So I would think that the above is a ‘no problem’ when visiting this lovely Casa Aricó when the weather is better! C) There is no parking at Casa Aricó, but there is a valet service that parks your car in and retrieves it from a private parking area for 30 € per day - so if you travel by car, remember to take this expense into consideration as well. Taormina does not have a lot of parking options, and I recon that this private parking solution is a must for several B&B, hotels and apartment rentals as well - so this is definitely is NOT a criticism of Casa Aricó!

Seaview is perfect, ambience is sophisticated matching the standard of high class boutique hotels. Location is very central avoiding steep walks. Very quiet despite being close to restaurants and cafes. Gabriella prepared a superb breakfast and made sure our room was spotless clean. A lovely lady. Luca is a great host always available to give tips to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Everything was very good. Coffee/teamaker in the room for an early morning drink would be a useful and highly appreciated addition.

Quick getaway to Taormina. The property is lovely, well situated to the sites of the old city. Everywhere was walkable, restaurants, shops, and views of the region. The Host was very helpful w suggestions, very kind, and English was well spoken. The property felt very much like a home with beautiful decoration. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary and the table well set. The room was comfortable, welcoming, and quiet. There were plenty of amenities. Higher recommend this property or any of the other Casa Aricò.

Wonderful breakfast and lovely Gabriela fussed over us making sure we had all we wanted for breakfast. Beautiful home with an incredible collection of art. Location was 2 minute walk from the old town but far enough away sp one can easily relax and rest without all the noise. It was a distance from the beach but easily accessible by cable car.

Our stay at Casa Aricò was phenomenal. The vibe is that of a high-end bed and breakfast or boutique hotel. We were blown away by the attention to detail and tasteful decor. The staff was superbly attentive. The breakfast was the best I'd ever had in Italy. The house attendant, Gabriella, was phenomenal and easily one of our favorite things about this experience. The pictures do not do this place justice and the location could not have been better. I highly, highly recommend it.

We rented a car to go to Taormina, and I strongly advise against that. To be clear, this has nothing to do with Casa Aricò, but it was the only stressful part of our stay. If I had to do it all over again, that is the only thing I'd change. Having said that, the staff at Casa Aricò were very accommodating and took great care of our rental, so if you absolutely must drive there, the parking options are both excellent.

The breakfast was delightful and we could sit on a balcony enjoying a wonderful view. Luca, the host, was super lovely and helpful, with great recommendations. The location is also great, only a 2 min walk from the Messina gate which is the gateway to the city center. Couldn’t have been better! Highly recommend this incredible B&B. Grazie Luca!

Elegant, spotless facility, from beautiful common areas to the exquisite suites. The cleanest place we've ever stayed! It felt like we were staying in a (most comfortable) art museum. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating to any/all needs (thank you Luca, Gabriella and Enrico). And we really appreciated Angelo parking and retrieving our car for us - a very helpful option. Finally, we enjoyed seeing Romeo, the house cat each morning too!

Our bed had a low spot in the middle, maybe time for a new mattress? Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect!

The location is perfect and the house beautiful. The team is fantastic, so friendly and helpful. They had the best recommendations for places to visit and eat which made for a relaxing time. Spending time in the house was also lovely.

It might be a good idea to have two keys available for each room guest, especially if one is going out while the other is staying in. That way the door to the room can be locked while the other is gone.

2 nites was not enough time

The breakfast was great, the staff especially attentive and kind, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The A/C was an added bonus.

Had a wonderful experience staying here and can’t say enough great things about the host, Luka. The location is tucked away just off the main strip which made it easy to walk everywhere. They offer a transfer to and from the airport and would recommend guests to use it. Luka is the perfect host! He provided a detailed list of recommendations for restaurants, things to do, night life, etc. If I ever visit Taormina in the future I’d absolutely stay here again. Thank you Luka!!

Perfectly located. Very central, but away from the hustle and bustle. The owners were so attentive and you could see that their intent is to ensure their guests have a pleasurable experience. The accommodation is well designed with taste. The rooms are well curated and extremely clean.

Our room was spacious, comfy and had lovely views. We were personally greeted by the owner and provided with a list of things to do and see. Breakfast was amazing, we received a bottle of sparkling wine as a welcome gift, the decoration of the entire house was breathtaking and the common areas (living room and rooftop terrace) were stunning.

House atmosphere Very pleasant and nice place

Excellent property and very conveniently located in the centre of Taormina yet on a very quiet street. Luca is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful, giving recommendations on many aspects of the city. The rooms are perfectly clean and have a fantastic charm to them, well decorated and spacious. All of the amenities were included and you have an amazing view of the sea. Breakfast is also very good and they facilitate parking space for a car for a reasonable price considering the difficulty of parking in the city.

Luca and his father were the perfect hosts in a lovely surroundings. Thank you for the recommendations that made our stay unforgettable! Casa Arico was the perfect accomodation for our stay in Sicily and we highly recommend it.
