Sebastien Hotel

They charge you for using a bath towel you showed me 150 pesos because of my tower was dirty that I took a bath and dried off

The rooms are clean

Nice hotel but a smart TV would be welcome

A good value hotel right next to the more expensive Mactan Newtown with its expensive condos and hotels

My wife was happy with it, even though its an hour by taxi to downtown Cebu City

we find it a good place to start and end our philippines trip. not far from airport. good dining close by. pharmacy, grocery store, atms and laundry service all within walking distance.

Sebastien.

Hotel in the heart of the busy and noisy Mactan. Very affordable price, room was just fine but Aircon location just besides bed causing morning stuck nose, and anyway, it's noisy window type of unit. Service is friendly, swimming pool is very nice. This will be just fine for a one night stop over in Mactan.

I had a great experience with the place. Clean, staff are excellent, would even help to cross the busy road.the ambiance is very pleasant. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend it with friends.

Stayed here the night before flying out of the airport as somewhere that was close enough for an easy Grab ride but far enough away to still enjoy the area without the looming airport feel. Close to many restaurants and stores that are easy to get to.

Happy customer

Friendly staff, great location on Mactan Island nearby lots of restaurants and conveniences.

Great location. Friendly staff.

Staff are friendly and very helpfull for booking taxis to tourist sightseeing. Convinient for shopping, transportation just front of the hotel. Walking distance to Mactan Shrine. What dislikes me the barhroom is small and no proper shelves to put toothbrushes and soap. Oherwise overall review is excellent.

Preis-/Leistung stimmt!

Great value for money. Clean. Has AC. Plenty of options around for food, shopping, pharmacy. Even a fitness center and a currency exchange with a great exchange rate. Would recommend!

My wife and I had a good stay here. The check-in/check-out process was great. The staff was amazing and always helped out when we had questions or needed to schedule something to do. The room was ok. It was nice having the AC and kitchenette. The bathroom was smaller than expected and looked a little older, but it worked well and they did a good job at cleaning it each day. The location was really the point that makes it a hit or miss. It's nice being across the street from a mall and many food places, but it also means it's very busy and the noise carries through the rooms. We got woken up early one morning to a neighbor playing their music very loudly that even the noise of the AC couldn't mask it. It happened everyday but only one of them was early enough to actually bother us from our sleep. And one night I was about to fall asleep before waking up to fireworks going off right by us. We definitely liked our stay and if you are looking for a short term place to stay then this is a good one. We also wish we would have realized there was a terrace at the top you could go to on our last day there, and that would have been pleasant to enjoy in the evenings. But if you're staying in the city for more than a few days, I would suggest getting somewhere more cozy, away from the busy road, and has more amenities from the hotel.

no good

great value for money. spacious room with tv with good cable, refrigerator, bathroom, kitchen block, nice bed. very friendly staff, good location facing mall and walkable to the beach. plenty of food choices and entertainment near. good wifi , good aircon and clean shower and cr. breakfast is simple but enough and cant be beaten at this price level and location.

False advertising. They claimed to be a short walk from the beach, they did not say that all the beaches are private property. The place was clean, and service was good, but I would not have stayed there.

It's a good hotel. The kind and helpful staff make s difference. But unfortunately you can hear all the noise from the traffic. The alliances seem a little dated and the air-conditioning always smells musty.

Very nice place to stay, clean, safe and friendly. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Cebu.

Very friendly staff all-around. Convenient location near stores and restaurants. Great value for the price.

Easy to locate, convenient for transport.

It was fine. The staff were awesome. The bathroom small. It was perfect for my needs. Good location

Good location across from shopping plaza with good choice of food. On busy, noisy road so request high floor room at the back away from the street. Great service and quick check in. Room good size and clean. Bed is hard, which is typical for the Philippines. Doesn’t have separate shower-wet bathroom. Toilet seat broken. Included breakfast is okay and delivered to room if desired. About 20 minutes from the airport. 350 peso taxi ride. All in all all a good choice for a short stay.

One of the best hotels ever. The rooms are big, very clean and confortable. The location is great. But the best thing is the staff. They're incredibly nice, they helped me organize a surprise for my husband's birthday and it was sooooooo great, they are just lovely. They also offered us the van to go to the airport. Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely come back here!!! ( and the restaurant is very good too and affordable)

It’s cheap yet clean, friendly staff, convenient and accessible to everything as well as the airport.

Excellent friendly staff. 2nd stay!

Great place to start or end your journey. Everything is close including restos, coffee, atms, convenience stores and groceries. Staff here is great!

6th time stanying here and as always it was a great stay. 5 STARS.

the room was clean and spacious. The kitchen and ref is convenient, as is the coffee maker. the staff are extra helpful. I had a great stay.

No television ( when I told the front desk channels aren’t working they said they have poor reception but they advertise they have television) , old noisy aircon, smells stale in room, very noisy area.Very disappointing wouldn’t stay again.

This is a very convenience hotel to stay for those travelling to Cebu Mactan area. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here many times and have never had any problems

Terrible hotel do not stay there, it’s not worth the $40 dollar a night . never heard in my life that a hotel will charge you for an extra towel when they had only two medium size yellow towel, not even clean. You could check my picture. The shower is a joke connected to the toilet seat . You can only get one key for the room per the front desk. This is the rules. I don’t think the manager has a decency to change these rules . On check-in, they ask you about your breakfast for the next day .

The area is on a busy road, the highway noise was very loud even inside the hotel ( constant horns and engine noise), there’s a busy shopping/ Restaurant area across the street that was very loud. Not sure if it’s always an issue but workers outside were working on the sewer drain and the smell was awful by the road just outside the hotel.

Great hotel 20 mins from airport let me check in 4 hours early served breakfast to the room very good value

The place is quite and clean and the Staffs are very approachable and professional. The arcade are infront of Sebastion Hotel. I really recommend this place to stay.

The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and the free breakfast was great.

Nice

Very nice hotel and I will stay again.

Room was clean, spacious, with refrigerator, hot water kettle and eating utensils. Shower was directly beside the commode, with no hot water. Electricity on and off with blackouts. Wifi was poor. No flat iron for borrowing or for rent. No hairdryer despite listed in their website that each room has. Service in the reception and adjoining restaurant were terrible. Upon checking in, receptionist asked for choice of breakfast, gave my choices for next 2 days and told them I would be dropping by restaurant. Next day, went to the restaurant at 7:15 am, only to be told that the front desk did not notify them of my order and breakfast will be prepared in 20-30 min and brought to my room. 40 minutes later, still no sign of breakfast. Called reception, who connected me to restaurant, server oblivious, told me that they would cook breakfast - this was at 9:20 am. I called front desk to air my complaint and was told that they relayed my order to which I said restaurant said the front desk didn't relay my order to them, the receptionist was argumentative even though the fault was hers, both front desk nor the server in the restaurant did not even apologize. Poor customer service, expect the staff to talk back even though its their fault, trying to put the blame on the customer.

Terrible front desk and restaurant service. Upon checking in, was asked by receptionist for my breakfast order the following day, gave order x 2 days. Following morning, went to the restaurant, receptionist did not relay my order, was told they will prepare breakfast in 20 min and send to my room. 40 min later, called reception who connected me to restaurant, server oblivious, she said they will cook breakfast for 20-30 min. Called reception which had the gall to say that she relayed my order, not even apologetic. No flat iron for rent, asked twice, only to be told they had none - had to go to convention with my suit and clothes crumpled. No hair dryer in the room, even if stated in their website that they had.

Such a nice place to stay. Every thing is close and the staff is so very friendly and helpful. You’ll never be disappointed

My third time staying At Sebastien and I’m always very happy. Rooms clean with good breakfast conveniently located to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and ATMs. The staff is very helpful and friendly!

Always been happy with Sebastien. Very friendly staff good breakfast and close to amenities

Will definitely be back! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast and several dining options close by. Easy to catch a ride anywhere. Newtown area has everything you need!

Decent rooms for stay over. But booked online non-refundable . At check in was informed that there was no internet or cable. That is something that should be brought to all bookers attention.

The place is clean!!!

Ok budget hotel near the seaport. If you aren’t in Bohol to stay at a beach or looking to do anything at night it’s a decent option. If you do want beaches and nightlife then I would find a place on Panglao as that is where the majority of resorts and restaurants are catering to tourist

No frills budget hotel with a friendly helpful staff. Next to a hawkers market and a complex with a supermarket so convenient if you need supplies.

Hotel Sébastien is located in a central location with easy access to some nice food and drink options. Staff is nice and rooms are clean. They offer different types of breakfast from the place next door. They serve it at your room whenever you want. Tho the breakfast was always cold and kinda soggy due to the plastic wrap. The fruit seemed old and also tasted bad. One time we didn’t receive our drinks and they stopped giving us jam/butter because we didn’t use it for one morning. No idea why. Also the toilet kept clogging. Super embarrassing to tell them that the toilet is clogged not once but twice! They solved it, no problem. They just need to fix some stuff around. Also WiFi was not great. All in all a decent budget option on Mactan.

We used the hotel for a layover as we arrived in Cebu in the nood and left for Siargao the next morning. The hotel is nice and the staff very friendly and helpful! The room was also very clean. The hotel serves your choice of breakfast (american, asian, continental or vegetarian) to your room. The hotel is in a good location when it comes to a layover (as we had) but we won’t stay there for a vacation as you couldn’t do a lot and the neighborhood is not really nice...

The only good thing about this place was the service

Stayed in here for 2 weeks for a business trip. The room is clean, AC worked well, TV has cable and the staff cleans the rooms regularly. It is near Mactan Newtown where our office is located so going to work was a breeze. Asked for Php1,000 deposit which they gave back to me upon checkout. 2 things need improvement; the wifi, as I have to stay near the door for me to stay connected, but still not good. The food; the selection was really small. By the 6th day, I've grown tired of the food and decided to not take advantage of the free breakfast. All in all, I'd stay here again cos I was able to sleep well, which rarely happens to me when I don't stay at home.

Budget hotel for travelers and tourists. The room style and design is more like a studio unit condominium rather than a hotel room. The room comes with a small dining table, a gas stove and some kitchen wares. Also has a laundry room. For breakfast, your order it in advanced and delivered to your room in the morning.

Nice hotel

Room's AC is very good; appliances are good as new; staff very accommodating but the comfort rooms specially the bath rooms needs an upgrade...water from the shower would spill all over the place while one is taking a bath; likewise, pls provide rubber mats to prevent the customers from slipping. Food in the accredited restaurant can serve better dishes and hopefully, hot ones too. Cebuanos are one of the most hospitable people...thank you for the lovely experience. Will definitely go back and hope to see and experience the suggestions aforementioned.

Location: close to Mactan Newtown, McD and hawker center Cleanliness: still have room to improve Staff: very helpful (maybe because of tips) Facilities: WiFi connection very weak, can’t adjust the water heater’s temperature

Nice enough room with OK AC. TV had a few channels in English. Technically there is a kitchenette but it had one glass in it so not the most practical. There are a couple of restaurants nearby (including McDonald's) and a 7-11 with an Atm next to it. Breakfast was poor, just about warm coffee and clingfilmed food which had no doubt been made a while ago and left to steam in its wrapping. Hotel is handy for the airport and has WiFi, staff were friendly enough.. I wouldn't want to stay here long, or on holiday but it's a reasonable bolt hole.

Absolutely amazing team working here. They knew my name from check in And used it to greet me every day. Always trying to help make your stay pleasant. Easy and safe walk (solo female traveler) to Mactan alfresco, 711, grocery store, etc. I was here to dive and the room had all I needed.

Customer service was top notch... Free Breakfast option was simple and appreciated Nothing bad to say about the hotel at all

Recommended!!

I had a big problem with the extra charges for cleaning services inwhich is supposed to be a part of their regular function of duty. They charge extra if there is any kind of soil marks are left on linens or sheets. Make me feel as if I must rent the room and not inhabit it for the fear something will get dirty and I will be charged extra

Good value for money. Wifi not great. Great location as you can experience the different sides of Phillipine life with many stands and stalls around you combined with shops

Great location, helpful & friendly staff. Will stay in this hotel again.

Very good hotel, near airport and friendly staffs.. I would come again for sure

Nice hotel close to the airport. Good security. WLAN not great. Some shops (cafe, laundry, nails) in the same building. More restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Convenient for a short stay.

Excellent

this is the place for any people who come for business trip , really near to mactan newtown , and it go massage place beside , and also it go barber shop downstair ,, its also really near to mcdonalds ,

I checked in to this hotel after a 'not good experience' in another hotel further away.Check in staff very pleasant and helpful. My room was on the 4th Floor...large room. 416 I felt very comfortable staying at Sebastien Hotel...Breakfast was included...in the nightly rate and can be delivered to your room at no extra charge. Overall I would be very happy to stay at this hotel again. All staff very helpful.Bar and Restaurant right next door.

We booked this hotel as we only have an overnight stop at Cebu enroute to another destination. The room is spacious for the rate they offer. They have the Basic amenities. One thing I like is the staff are very nice and accommodating amd the spa in the same building.

I have a nice stay, Clean hotel good service

We stayed for one night before flying from cebu airport the next day (about 25 minutes in a taxi). The room was large with a big kitchenette and good aircon. No complaints on the room. Breakfast was basic, but it was included and served in the room without extra charge, which saved some time for an early trip. Staff was friendly!
