We really enjoyed our stay. Both the hotel and our room were excellent, and overall we had a very positive experience. The only area we felt could be improved was breakfast. We had expected a wider selection and more generous quantities. Bread, cereals and jams were available in very limited amounts; there was only one type of yoghurt, and there were no cheeses or vegetables, such as tomatoes. There were also only two bananas available, one of which had unfortunately gone bad. As a result, we ended up buying additional food for breakfast from a nearby shop. One suggestion would be to offer a short questionnaire about guests’ dietary preferences during the booking process. This could help the hotel plan the breakfast selection and quantities more effectively. We hope this feedback is helpful, as we were otherwise very pleased with our stay. A more varied and plentiful breakfast would make the experience even better.

Ein schönes Apartment in ruhiger und sicherer Lage, das Frühstück wurde täglich vom Personal aufgefüllt und so konnten wir direkt im Apartment frühstücken und von dort aus starten. Der Ort ist reizend, mit offenen und positiven Menschen, die jederzeit hilfsbereit sind und auf angenehme Art stolz sind auf Linlithgow. Allein dieser Ort ist eine Reise wert.

The staff we're absolutely 💯% the nicest we've met on our stays in Scotland. The room was incredibly nice and fitted with all modern fittings.. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone. It's a great stay if you want to visit Edinburgh. The train station is a 5mins walk and your into Waverly station Edinburgh in 20mins. Hassle free. The local pub ''The four Mary's' is a 3min walk from the Courts and is a class local that serves great Beer and a really good Guinness and serves superb food. Definitely will stay at the Courts residence aparthotel again. We will be back. Thank you for your kindness towards us and making our stay in Scotland one to remember.

Problem mit Ameisen. Eines der beiden Schlafzimmer war früher eine Polizeizelle. Deshalb gibt es dort nur ein vergittertes Mini-Fenster. Das "Frühstück" bestand vornehmlich aus rohen Eier im Kühlschrank, einem typisch englischem Toastbrot und Pulverkaffe für die Selbstzubreitung. Da hatten wir andere Erwartungen. Ansonsten wurde man mit zahlreichen Emails und Telefonanrufen genervt. Geht garnicht! Um auf den Parkplatz zu kommen, muss vorher eine Telefonnummer gewählt werden.

De kamer was ruim. Het bed was goed. Mooie douche. Het hotel zit ongeveer 200 meter van de trein naar Edinburgh of Glasgow De ontbijtmand. Prachtig pand.

Voor de prijs die we betaalden had ik iets meer zorgvuldigheid verwacht. We moesten zelf vragen om handdoeken. De ontbijtmand werd niet volledig bijgevuld en we hadden lekkage van boven.

Room was lovely and had everything we needed. Location is perfect for anyone visiting Linlithgow.

Woken up very early by departing guests knocking loudly on doors and calling to the people inside other courtyard rooms and rolling cases over the cobbled courtyard. There is a note asking people to be mindful of other guests - I understand not everyone is considerate but maybe strengthen this request? if possible!!

The apartment was well insulated and would have appreciated a window to open as we were there during a warm spell of weather.

Het complex is een oud gerechtsgebouw, de kamers hebben nog mooie details. Onze kamer was alles gelijkvloers. De badkamer was klein, het bad lag iets lager, dus goed opletten met in- en uitstappen. Het ontbijt staat klaar op de kamer om zelf klaar te maken s’ochtends. De auto kan op het terrein kosteloos geparkeerd worden achter een slagboom. Linlithgow is een leuk plaatsje met kasteel. De locatie is ideaal om met de trein naar bv Edinburgh te gaan. In het dorp ligt een goed Italiaans restaurant (Barleo), we hebben heerlijk gegeten.

Jammer dat op zondag het ontbijt niet was aangevuld. Verder was alles prima!

Frokosten var skuffende! Lavere kvalitet enn vi forventet. Dårlig kvalitet på brød og syltetøy. Kunne ha vært tomat, agurk, frokostpølser, tomatbønner , honning osv som er typiske elementer i en britisk frokost. Mangla på fyll av kaffe og syltetøy siste dag. Sjelden folk tilgjengelig i resepsjonen.

This was an extremely interesting and comfortable property! Our apartment was beautifully appointed with upscale kitchen appliances and a modern bathroom with overhead and handheld shower. The loft bedroom was a neat surprise! The kitchen was stocked with a basket containing bread, pastries, coffee, sugar etc.--everything you would initially need. There is also a Tesco within walking distance for future food purchases. The building was an old courthouse renovated into modern comfortable apartments while maintaining many original architectural features. It was in the middle of town and very close to the Palace and the train station.

Good place. Nice large room, well equipped and with a nice breaksfast. Huge swivel TV, nice shutters and cool through draught possible in our room. Good bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pubs and walks in Linlithgow too.

Minor issues with rather flimsy blinds which we eventually fathomed out and rather scarce drawers/shelves to lay clothes.

Tolle Lage mit ausreichend Parkplätzen vor der Unterkunft. Kühlschrank und kleine Küche mit guter Ausstattung (Spülmaschine, Toaster, Mikrowelle, Herd) im Zimmer. Man sollte sich aber darauf einstellen, dass ein Zubereitung ganzer Mahlzeiten eher komplex wird - die Küche ist eher auf die Vorbereitung des Frühstücks oder die Erwärmung von Convenience Food ausgelegt. Das Frühstück kann man eigenständig zubereiten. Es gibt Müsli, Milch, Eier,Marmelade, Toast, Tee, Banane, Äpfel, Mandarinen. Das Wifi funktioniert gut, das Fenster kann man öffnen.

Beim dritten Frühstück ist das Frühstück dann schon sehr einseitig, vor allem die Äpfel und Mandarinen waren nicht wirklich lecker. Wir haben uns passende Dinge zugekauft. Das Zimmer befindet sich im Erdgeschoss und genau vor dem Fenster war ein Gerüst mit Leiter. Es war ok, aber insgesamt nicht sehr vertrauenserweckend, wenn man das Fenster über Nacht öffnen will. Auch das Rollo haben wir mit Mühe nach unten ausrollen können (es war eine große Fummelei). Deswegen haben wir davon abgesehen, es wieder nach oben zu ziehen. Insofern war der Raum dann eher dunkel. Das war sicher unsere Schuld, ein gut gängiges Rollo wäre halt toll gewesen. Trotzdem insgesamt eine gute Unterkunft.

A really well designed and appointed apartment. Very comfortable bed, super shower, great compact kitchen with everything you need. Also a great selection of fruit, cereals, breads, juice, milk, eggs all provided in the apartment. You couldn't get a better location - Linlithogow Palace just across the road and we visited a brilliant market on the first Sat of the month just across the road from the apartment too.

We had a wonderful stay at The Court Hotel. The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of everything Linlithgow has to offer, including lovely pubs, shops( check out Styled by Macs), cafés, and historic sites. It’s also close to both train and bus links, making it very convenient for trips into Edinburgh and exploring more of Scotland. The breakfast provided was fantastic, with bread, eggs, coffee, and tea, and the little kitchenette was a great bonus—perfect for relaxed mornings when you don’t want to head out right away. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Just returned from another great stay, our 3rd. As always room and communal entrances all clean and warm. The room was clean and well laid out, good provisions for breakfast and lovely toiletries in great bathroom, we love the shower. This is 3rd different room over our stays and each one is that little bit special. Need to try another one on our next visit.

Stairs could be tricky for some people.

Can't fault the room, it was brilliant, spacious and clean, great amenities. Location was really good too, a good 4 day stay. However, in our 4 days, our room wasn't serviced once, two of the mornings we had left the room before 10am, so ample time for cleaning and restocking breakfast goods, but it never occurred, even leaving the "please service" tag on the room. As it is an "apart-hotel" this meant the bin was never emptied and the fact breakfast is supposed to be supplied everyday means we basically got one breakfast. This ended up being really disappointing because everything else was great.

Court Residence in Linlithgow was a great choice — clean, modern, and perfectly located between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our Executive Suite was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, with a great walk‑in shower and a handy kitchen for breakfast. The town is beautiful, with the castle right across the road and lots of good places to eat nearby. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Well sited only a few minutes downhill walk from the railway station. Rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard both in terms of comfort and facilities. They have traditional shutters instead of curtains, which were good at keeping out any noise. We much appreciated the very effective heating on the unusually cold and drear June days we were there. The breakfast basket, plus the juice and fresh milk in the fridge, provided everything one needed for a 'continental breakfast'. Which was fine with one exception - the dreadful sliced bread provided for toast. It was the worst kind of mass-produced pap one can imagine and why we only give it 4 out of 5. Not cheap, but decent value in terms of quality this close to Edinburgh. Not having any communal spaces can make the building feel empty - a bit like being on the Mary Celeste.

Lot’s of space, very clean, cosy interior, free parking, nice and friendly staff. We got a free upgrade.

The breakfast was not freshly baked, it was all pre packed stuff.

We stayed in one of the suites for 5 nights and it was a very pleasant experience. There were a couple of questions we had but these were resolved very quickly by the staff and by the owner Jim. The room was clean and quiet, well stocked with the breakfast basket which was restocked every day. The location is 5 mins from the rail station and there are several goo pubs and restaurants within 10 minute walk, as well as the location being central for what Linlithgow has to offer. We were also there for the annual Marches event which we were able to watch form our window if we did not want to be on the street. We had a very relaxing break.

It was a beautiful space with a very large double bed and sofa bed too. The room was really spacious with a small but fully stocked kitchen. It was right in centre of town and very close to the train station. Staff aren't there all the time but a man was quick to respond when we arrived and was very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. I loved the town and nice pubs with food nearby.

My wife and I enjoyed four nights at the Court Residence. It is in a great location right in the middle of this lovely town. Lots of cafes and pubs close by. Comfortable accommodation and with breakfast supplies provided each day. The stairs in our apartment presented some challenges but nonetheless we enjoyed our stay.

Jim the owner has an issue with kids, my 7 year old was playing in the courtyard. My daughter came to visit briefly with two friends and Jim had an issue with this. Daughter or friends were not staying overnight only came to visit, if Jim looks at his T&C's nothing related to visitors. This was 1830 as in Jim's T&C's quiet time is 20:00 so really no issue. If you have kids I would avoid as the hotel has issues with kids. He also owns The Linen Bank which is ADULTS ONLY so confirms his issues with small children. Avoid at all costs.

Location and proximity to the train station. Also barrier parking was a bonus.

In Apartment no 13, if you have the blinds up and walk around the room naked, people outside walking across the courtyard could see you. The bedroom window faces out onto the courtyard. Could do with one way vision glass.

Location for train to Edinburgh was excellent. Barrier protected parking for the car included as a bonus. Bed was super comfortable and great to have kitchenette facilities. WIFI connection was excellent.

spacious room and upgrade, great location can get to edinburgh downtown in about 20 mins on the train. also many things to do like the Linlithgow palace nearby. nice hotel staff I liked this better than where I stayed in edinburgh city because it was more spacious and quieter. carpets seemed a bit dated, the hotels in edinburgh just seem a bit overpriced for me but perhaps that is to be expected.

Stayed at Court residence before and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is spotless everywhere you look from the grand entrance hall to the rooms themselves. Lots of attention to detail, from the cool foldaway reading light above the bed to the local history books placed in the room (which I enjoyed studying each evening)

Lovely historical building and the rooms/suites themselves are very comfortable and clean. They have everything you could possibly need. The management and staff are very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were clean, spacious, well presented and very comfortable. The location in the centre of Linlithgow was first class and the proximity to the Four Marys pub for ale and food was perfect.

One minor and I mean VERY minor issue was the gate at the side of Room 7 banks when someone enters (staff I think). The first time gave us a fright thinking something had fallen in the unit.

The suite was perfect for our family of five. Incredible location and perfectly clean. The staff was wonderful and the in-room hamper with snacks and food items was beyond expectation. There was even eggs, milk, and orange juice in the fridge and we could enjoy a full breakfast before heading to the airport. Highly recommend.

Un accueil chaleureux et une magnifique surprise avec un surclassement dans une suite spacieuse, propre et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. La rénovation est une vraie réussite, les matériaux sont beaux et la literie est d'un confort exceptionnel. Le panier petit déjeuner est très complet. ​L'emplacement est super et le parking est un vrai plus. Nous avons été tellement conquis que nous sommes ravis d'avoir déjà réservé une autre nuit ici pour notre dernière étape en Écosse. À recommander sans hésiter !

Le côté salon, qui est dans l'entrée, n'est pas agréable et la cuisine est dans un couloir, couloir qui mène à une chambre sans fenêtre. Salle de bain minuscule. On entend le bruit des trains qui passent juste à côté. Nuit difficile.

The location was perfect. The staff at Court Residence were friendly, kind and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable.Train transportation was a short walk and the town and its people were lovely. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a busy day.

The kitchen table and chairs were a little cramped. But it was nice to have a place to make a simple meal.

We have stayed here many times, and as always, we were happy with everything.

We had a really lovely stay. The location was ideal—easy to get to and close to everything we needed, while still feeling calm and peaceful. From the moment we arrived, the place had such a warm and welcoming feel. It was relaxed, comfortable, and had a really nice atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Our room was spacious, well set out, and very comfortable. You could tell care had gone into the details, which made it feel that little bit more special. It was great value for money and definitely exceeded our expectations for what we paid. We also really appreciated how quiet it was—no disturbances at all, so we slept really well. The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and always happy to go the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, the amenities were excellent and well looked after, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Great location. Could easily walk to restaurants, Tesco, shops. Very clean. Loads of provisions provided for breakfast. Although located along a busy street, the property was very quiet & we enjoyed the courtyard setting. Rooms were a bit small but fine for a couple of nights.
