Villa Patria

Wir kamen mit offenem Mund in die Villa Patria – so überwältigt waren wir von dieser außergewöhnlichen Unterkunft. Überall gibt es wunderschöne, einzigartige Kunstgegenstände und besondere Details zu entdecken. Schon der erste Abend fühlte sich für uns ein bisschen wie „Night at the Museum“ an, nur dass wir mittendrin wohnen durften. Was diesen besonderen Ort aber mindestens genauso einzigartig macht, sind die Menschen. Ganz besonders Wayan, die uns mit ihrer unglaublich herzlichen, hilfsbereiten und einfühlsamen Art unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht hat. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen war fantastisch und hat unseren Aufenthalt kulinarisch wunderbar ergänzt. Die Villa Patria ist wirklich ein ganz besonderer Ort. Die Kombination aus der außergewöhnlicher Kunst, der wunderschönen Atmosphäre, dem fantastischen Essen und vor allem der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft hat uns tief beeindruckt.

Villa Patria is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we stayed during our trip to Bali. Perched in the hills above Lovina, it is a truly authentic Balinese villa, beautifully decorated with character, unique pieces and wonderful Asian art and objects. The garden is absolutely stunning, lush and beautifully maintained, and the infinity pool offers an incredible view over the sea and the coast of Lovina. It is the kind of place where you immediately feel at peace and could happily spend the entire day enjoying the surroundings. What makes Villa Patria particularly special, however, is the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and thoughtful, while remaining discreet and respectful. A special mention to Wayan, who was absolutely lovely and took such great care of us throughout our stay. Her kindness and attention to detail really made a difference. The whole experience feels very personal and authentic, far from the atmosphere of a standard hotel. The setting, the decoration, the garden, the view and especially the people all make Villa Patria a very special place. We would highly recommend Villa Patria to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful and beautifully designed place to stay in Bali. We absolutely loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Villa Patria was absoluut de mooiste Villa waar we tijdens onze 25dgn rondreis Bali zijn verbleven, de tuin is werkelijk prachtig, de 2pers Villa geweldig en t eten is uitmuntend, het personeel is super vooral Wajan is zo lief en ook manager Oka staat altijd klaar als je een vraag hebt. Onze kleren werden gewassen en kregen we heerlijk geurend en schoon opgevouwen terug. We gaan Villa Patria echt missen.

Helemaal niets!

Our stay in Villa Patria was great, and absolutely met expectations. Wayan was extremly kind and helpful, and together with the other staff they fulfilled our wishes, responded endless questions and gave us very good tips for getting known the country and culture. The food was excellent, the best mahi mahi we had on the island. The villa is spacious and surrounded with a very nice garden with a pool. They arranged for us transport to Lovina and to other places as needed with high flexibility.

You need to be ready for a long (and eventually tiring) journey from the Ngurah Rai airport to the villa. Although google maps estimated it for app 3 hours, it finally took 5. It depends a lot on the trafic, driver and car you have.

We had the smaller villa out off two. Because the big one was not occupied we eat sometimes at patio of the huge villa and played pool billiard. Wayan was exceptionally friendly and let us feel like we are super special. She wanted to really to wash our clothes for free, organized for us the rental motorbike, the massage and other trips. Additionally the food was like in a Michelin star restaurant but not expensive. We chose to eat every night at the Villa. They had a free shuttle 10-15 min to Lovina beach. Everything just awesome. We will choose the exact same villa next time again.

Это был потрясающий опыт. Когда мы с мужем приехали на эту виллу, то, наверное, полчаса ходили, открыв рот, рассматривая ее различные уголки. Это не просто вилла, это скопление произведений искусства. Обслуживание в этой гостинице такое, что я чувствовала себя аристократкой в загородном замке. Элегантное и одновременно ненавязчивое. На территрии всего две виллы и при желании вы можете вообще не сталкиваться с соседями. Виллу окружает чудесный сад. Бассейн с видом на море восхитителен. Соотношение цены и качества просто поражает.

К отелю ведет крутая дорога, но это не проблема, просто надо иметь это ввиду.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der Villa Patria. Wayan, unser Host, war unglaublich aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit, so dass der Aufenthalt von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde wirklich außergewöhnlich war! Das Essen vor Ort war ebenfalls sehr lecker und eine absolute Empfehlung. Das Gelände und der Pool sind groß, gepflegt und laden zum Entspannen ein.

Tout est exceptionnel

Wat een fantastische tijd hebben wij gehad in Villa Patria! De ontvangst, de locatie in een prachtige omgeving, de heerlijke villa, de goede zorgen. We hebben negen dagen verbleven in de ‘kleine’ villa en het was echt een cadeau 💝. Een heerlijke eigen plek, alle rust en uitstekende zorg van Wayan en de rest van de staf. Iedere dag de keuze uit heerlijke gerechten, van ontbijt tot en met diner en alles wat er tussen zit. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de veranda en een heerlijk zwembad om te vertoeven (met het geluk dat wij tijdens ons verblijf ook nog eens de enige gasten waren). Dankjulliewel Oka, Wayan (❤️), Putu & Katut voor het heerlijke eten, en rest van de staf voor alle goede zorgen. We hebben ons heerlijk thuis gevoeld, ultiem genoten en gaan zeker weten ook nog een x terugkomen. Dát hebben wij onszelf beloofd.

Alles!! Het is lastig om te beschrijven hoe deze plek voor ons was, laat ik zeggen dat toen we aankwamen op onze nieuwe bestemming wij eigenlijk weer graag terug wilden ;). De foto’s geven een perfect beeld van deze plek. Een oase van luxe en rust met een geweldige zorg van Wayan en haar team. Het voelde als thuis. We verbleven hier 5 dagen en hebben het hele terrein voor onszelf gehad. Er zijn excursies en een massage voor ons geregeld, en er was een gratis shuttle service naar Lovina. Het eten in de villa was ook van zeer goede kwaliteit, de soto heb ik hier nog niet zo goed gehad. Als er Bali weer bezoeken zullen we hier zeker terug komen!

The place and the staff are AMAZING! The property is really in the middle of nature, peaceful location. I would advise staying at least 3 nights so you could visit surroundings. Food was really nice, especially the pancakes :) The staff was very kind, they helped us with laundry, organized us a massage and treated us with a welcome drink / afternoon tea

Some dishes require 24hrs for cooking, so better to check the menu as soon as you arrive if you’re having a short stay

Questa villa è qualcosa di sicuramente indimenticabile! Bellissima la struttura, meraviglioso il giardino in cui sorge, enorme la piscina con vista sulla valle e sul mare. Insomma, Villa Patria è davvero magica! Solo due ville, massimo confort e riservatezza. Lo staff è di una cortesia e gentilezza disarmante. La villa dove eravamo era davvero grande con un patio dove rilassarsi e dove facevamo le nostre colazione osservando il mare all’orizzonte. Pulitissima, arredata con opere d’arte indonesiane, davvero un gioiello

Tutto è stato perfetto. Un solo avviso: la villa è davvero immersa nella natura, a 15 minuti di macchina o motorino da Lovina. Questo comporta che la notte e la mattina si sentono i rumori della natura, tra uccelli, rane, cani…se cercate il silenzio assoluto, allora Villa Patria non è adatta

De meest fantastische hotelervaring op onze reis van een maand door Indonesië. Wat een prachtige locatie, wat een rust, wat een mooie villa. We logeerden in de kleinere villa geschikt voor 2 personen midden van de schitterende collectie Balinese kunst van de eigenaar. Wat een mooie tuin ook! En dan het voortdurend gesoigneerd worden door Kadek, Wayan en Oka. Ze serveerden het heerlijkste eten, stonden altijd klaar met tips en hulp en organiseerden feilloos drivers naar prachtige locaties in de buurt. A Blissful Escape at a Balinese Paradise Villa Our seven-night stay at this exquisite villa in Bali was nothing short of magical, a true retreat that we were reluctant to leave. Nestled in the mountains near Lovina, this hideaway offers breathtaking views that captivate from the moment you arrive. The villa grounds are a masterpiece—perfectly manicured gardens with bonsai-style care, mature trees like coconut, mango, clove, and bottlebrush, and vibrant flowers in every shape and color. For a change of pace, we ventured to the nearby Warung Widya, a local gem that added variety to our dining experience and left us thoroughly impressed. Adventure seekers will find plenty to love. I went deep-sea fishing and had an unforgettable time, reeling in four mahi-mahi, a needlefish, and a shark, though five barracuda slipped away. If fishing is your passion, this is a must-do. We also visited local waterfalls, where swimming in the fresh mountain water left us rejuvenated.

The villa is absolutely incredible, well decorated and calm. This was all the more appreciated that the local hosts, Oka & Wayan are very professional, very kind and helpful whenever needed . You really made this stay an amazing memory for me and my 2 kids! 🙏 We really looking forward to coming back to Villa Patria soon!

From the moment we arrived it was paradise. Oka and the team welcomed us with drinks and brought us through our amazing villa and grounds. The villa was superb full of amazing Balinese artifacts and the grounds immaculate. Breakfast Lunch and dinner served on your balcony was 5* we could want for nothing. Nonobtrusive staff but attentive . For sure this is 7*

We have been travelling for 5 months now, and we can say that Villa Patria is our favorite place that brought us a such serenity! These 4 days have been magical thanks to Wayang and her team, they paid attention to every details! Food, laundry, beds, bathroom… everything is amazing! We really enjoyed every minutes in this small Balinese paradise and would love to come back in the future! Also, a special thanks to Wayang for the attention she had for my girlfriend’s birthday!

What didn't we like!?!? This place is amazing. We wanted to come to the north side of Bali to relax a bit and just enjoy some down time. We got exactly what we were hoping for. Massages - so enjoyable and we loved that they came to us and that it was outdoors. Food - UNREAL & DELICIOUS. We went out one night and both wished we were back at the Villa eating some home cooked meals. We ate here for breakfast lunch and dinner and didn't have a bad meal once. All fresh, all local and just what you want. Don't go out, nothing will touch this cooking. The ribs are the best I've ever had. Pool - beautiful, clean and loved that it was an infinity pool. Gardens - this place is gorgeous. Every tree, flower, bush, plant, fountain, etc...is so well taken care of and it's seriously so so pretty. You've never seen a better maintained landscape oasis. Room - our room/villa was so cute. All the furniture is unique and clearly very well made. I appreciated the decor and quality a lot. I also really enjoyed the outdoor bathroom so much. The shower was amazing and the water got so hot, I loved it. We ate outside under the comfort of the outdoor patio, lounged on the day bed. played games, relaxed, read books. Laundry - If i forgot to mention that they did my husbands laundry he would have been upset. This was so clutch at that mid way point in our 2 week trip and it saved us time and the headache of logistically figuring out where to go to do laundry. A mini fridge, water, AC in the bed room, privacy, fish outside in the pond, infinity pool, and of course the ROCKSTAR staff made this our favorite spot to stay in Bali by far.

I can think of NOTHING i didn't like about this place. I only regret not having every single meal at the Villa here when I was in Lovina.

Even after reading all those great reviews upfront, we were still amazed by this place. The larger villa is enormous, both in size as in decoration. It took me a few hours to go around the rooms and take it all in, and I loved it. Stepping out of the house, through those great open doors, onto that marvellous large terrace with magnificent view.... whoa, what a royal feeling. Don't come here if you don't like isolation in nature, if you can't stand noise at night, if you prefer a cosy modern-style hotel room nearby other tourists, if you prefer attractions, beach, restaurants at walking distance ... Please come here if you appreciate and respect nature, local life, great views, Balinese culture, people, history, and art, .... Thank you, Wayan, Oka! All the best to you!

We were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves and enjoyed every second of it! The crew does everything to make you feel at home. The garden is so well maintained - incredible!

Because they work with fresh products and the property is so small, you have to tell them in advance what you’d like for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Not a big deal to us, but if you like to live in the moment it might ;).

Everything, it was the best villa we have ever been to and We worry that it will stay for a long. Fantastic service, beautiful place and the food which were prepered in villa was like in 5 star restaurant.

Everything is PERFECT. They welcomed us with a welcome drink and the villa is truly amazing. We booked the one bedroom villa and decided to extend our stay to the two bedroom villa, the bed was super comfortable. The Villa and the rooms looks like in the pictures but it’s more magical in real life. I can even describe it.. The food is amazing, I have spent 2 weeks in Bali and the food here is the best I’ve had in Bali. I recommend the grilled Prawns! The staff was wonderful and kind, the best service you could ever imagine. I decided to celebrate my birthday earlier and they came with cake and candles for me which I am truly grateful for. This was the highlight to my Bali trip. You will not be disappointed!

Sweet Villa Patria ruined the rest of our trip by boosting our expectations to new heights. Nothing else could compare after this stay. It was an OUTSTANDING space with a beautiful mostly saltwater infinity pool.. We adored the staff, especially Wayan who treated us like friends. Our food was amazing, highly reco the tuna steak. It boasted peacefulness, seclusiveness, and a well-groomed garden. Book your stay without any worry of regret. Thank you Patria!

The wonderful service and beautiful views.

The place is amazing! The villa we stayed in is incredible, it has a large room with a big bathroom, there is a dining area and 3 places to relax with the perfect view. There is a kitchen with a water tank and a fridge. The pictures can't relate to how great the place looks. We had everything we needed. The staff makes you feel like family. In front of the villa you have a huge yard with trees and gardens, and to the right you will reach the infinity pool. There is wifi coverage everywhere. We had dinner each night at the villa just because it's probably the best place you could eat in Bali. We could not believe how low the price is for how great the place actually is.

Location on the hill is amazing, a lot privacy and stunning villa. Staff is wonderful and goes over and beyond to help you. Pictures don't do justice to this place. Villa is decorated with beautiful locall art and the pool with view over the hills to the sea is absolutely fantastic. The villa is huge and you can get lost in the garden. Our kids loved the garden and fruit in it.

There is not much to improve, some really small things. There are some loose tiles in the pool. And there is a mosque nearby so at 6 am you can hear the prayers. And there a some dogs barking at night and in the early morning. Nothing the villa can do about, but something to keep in mind if you want to sleep in

Villa Patria is such a beautifull place! impressing villa with art artefacts and antiques in every corner. The pool was beautifully placed with a stunning view. We loved everything about this place - especially Oka and Wayan who made our stay just perfect. We were surprised in a positive Way about this place - much better than the pictures promised ❤️
