Bathroom likely would not pass health and safety inspection

The location was fantastic, and the staff tried to help if there were issues.

The rooms didn't seem to have any soundproofing, I could hear everything going on right outside and in the room next to me. The air conditioning didn't work and when I mentioned it to the staff they said they had no other rooms to move me to. The tv set top box also was flickering like it was broken, luckily I wasn't planning on using it, so I just unplugged it so the flickering would stop.

There were bugs crawling out of the sink throughout the night and the fan in the bathroom was broken and insanely loud. Even for a motel this was a terrible stay

I booked a family suite and really appreciated 3 full size beds.

Nothing really, the room was very basic

They will change the price on you after telling you one price!! This is a run down hotel charging families displaced from their homes due to wildfires $400 a night. Took our card number/information over the phone "to secure room" but then increased price by $100/night when we went to check-in. My grandpa is dying of Glioblastoma (terminal brain cancer), had to evacuate Summerland home in middle of the night due to wildfires and this lady is price gouging during state of emergency. It is saddening to see people be treated like this during a time of need and when they already are dealing with possibly losing their homes and all their belongings. Please take your business to somewhere that supports Canadians in need.

The sink was broken. I had no strainer or the thing that goes on top of the hole inside the sink.

Der Chinesische Besitzer war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer ausreichend gross mit bequemen Betten.Auf dem Balkon vor den Zimmern standen mehrere Bänke, wo man Abends auch noch sehr gemütlich sitzen konnte.Ein Highlight war der Pool,jedoch war dieser eisekalt und somit eigentlich nicht wirklich zutzbar.Kostenlose Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Ideal gelegen,in wenigen Minuten war man zu Fuss direkt im Zentrum der Stadt.

Es war extrem schmutzig und abgewohnt. Die Fotos scheinen vor mehreren Jahrzehnten entstanden. Es war so unhygienisch und eklig, dass wir beim Aufschließen des Zimmers sofort gesagt haben, dass wir es nicht nehmen werden, sondern sofort stornieren. Unsere Zimmerkategorie war eh nicht verfügbar, da ein anderer Gast länger schlafen wollte. Der Mann an der Rezeption meinte, er stimme dem kostenlosen Storno deswegen zu. Tatsächlich wurde aber der volle Betrag abgebucht und in Rechnung gestellt.

Distance to city centre. Staff were nice

The room was dirty and looked like it was barely cleaned after previous use. The kitchen had very little items.no cutlery only a pot and fry pan and a spatula. We wanted a kitchen to cook in and save money The pool motor was broken. I picked a place with a pool so we could have a place for the kids and grandkids. We had to goto a recreation center to swim. We spent 3 nights and specifically booked a working pool. They never called anyone to fix it. It was an enclosed pool and all the windows and doors were sealed shut so the heat outside couldn't get in. The pool was extremely cold that it was unusable The mini fridge did not work well. They spoke very little English. It took forever to talk to them. We were missing items in our room and took forever to get them to understand We were not able to enjoy the motel.at all and it was sketchy. We had a drug addict in the room next to us with cars coming in and out all night I stayed at a slumber lodge in penticton and is was great I will never stay at this one in Hope again

Room was extremely dirty smelled like urine sink and bathtub was yellow and brown stained toilet was dirty I was afraid to take a shower or use the toilet I went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room told the front desk to bring us cleaned sheets and she got upset and started yelling at me I am disappointed never had this kind of experience wow ...

The owners are very friendly and accomodating. The room is clean. It has a full size fridge which is rare in hotels. Would stay again.

The only issue was the baseboard heaters were not working and it went down to 12 degrees at night. I was absolutely freezing in my room and the blankets were very thin. Would be nice to have an extra blanket left in the closet if you're going to turn off the heat come summer. My legs and arms were ice cold.

The owners were very welcoming. The lodge feels more like a home than a motel room. Pool was open and appreciated. They provided us with a dustpan and brush as well as a bucket of water and cloth to give our rental car a cleanout before return next day. Thank you.

The room was exceptionally clean,smelled actually amazing like fresh clean laundry and well laid out with double beds and a small seating area.And my large dog was welcome.

The buildings were dated and some repairs in the bathroom could have been completed better and door to room was difficult to close.

Excellent greeting by the staff. One of the rooms we had had a kitchen with nice appliances. It was great to have a full size freezer.

The building is older but there have been upgrades.

Room was a good size, the beds and pillows comfortable. Although rather dated and a bit shabby, the premises and the room were clean and functional for a short stay.

The room was very cold. It was a cold weekend, and the heat would not come on with the thermostat. We had to report the issue to the attendant, who eventually did something to get the heat going.

For an older budget motel this was a great stay. A friendly, family-run business with exceptional service. It's apparent that extra attention is focused on cleanliness. I didn't check out the pool, so cannot comment on that. The location is close enough to main street for an easy walk.

The bed was surprisingly extremely comfortable! Felt like memory foam, not saggy springs I expected. The lady working was kind.

We visited early June, I had called the week before to ask if the pool would be open and was told it would be. When we arrived the pool was closed, that was disappointing.

Very quaint, peaceful, and clean. The young lady working there was very friendly, even it was late when we checked in. The motel is older, but very quiet. Loved being snuggled in the mountains. Beautiful place and we would definitely return.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. The room was beautiful, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped. Having a full kitchen was a wonderful bonus and made the stay even more comfortable. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail. There was even a real green plant in the room — something I had never seen in a hotel before! It gave the space a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

The only negative points during my stay were related to the bathroom ventilation fan and the smoke detector. The bathroom fan was quite noisy and did not seem to provide much ventilation. In addition, the smoke detector appeared to be poorly positioned. I have already informed the owner about these issues, and I am confident they will be able to address them. Other than that, my stay was very enjoyable.

The room we were put in was very dated, smelled, had hair on the counter in the bathroom. The flooring was damaged and the bed was hard to get up on. We could hear the people in the next room.

We came in between 9&10 pm customer service was handled with prompt service courteous friendly opened our door for us, which is a very nice welcoming very nice quiet place to stay. I guess what I liked about it for the property wise, so it was very neat and clean and easy to get into.

There is not a rating lower than zero. It’s a nightmare stay. Avoid this property as it is run down. I stayed in room 22 and needed to call the office to have the hot water turned ON. What an inconvenience as the manager would come over and enter to verify that the water was getting warm. Every appliance runs off extension cords. The WiFi password did not work. Truly the Bates Hotel in Hope BC.

Quiet and easy to check in &out

The room was clean despite the condition. The bed was comfy.

The bathroom fan made a very loud sound when we turned it on. So, we just kept it off. The condition was not great, but it was expected.

Comfortable bed. Golf Course nearby was very nice.

It had an odd smell.

A person was casing our truck looking to steal and the manager defended him. We left without staying the night to our great inconvenience and cost. I think the manager is in on this - no proof. We could not stay because we were worried that our vehicle would be vandalized by that person staying right across the lot from us. We will never stay in a slumber lodge again and never even stop in Hope BC. You are rubbish!

The beds were clean and comfortable but the room itself including the bathroom is quite old shabby and not too clean. I guess it's fine for the price if you're staying from one night. The pictures online looked better.

The property is a bit old but it is clean and it doesn’t have the old smell. The bed was comfortable and the pillow smells good.

It’s just a little outdated. A but old but it doesn’t mean i don’t like it.

The price was decent

There was no Hot water, no phone in the room to contact the front desk. There was no spare blanket, the room was freezing, had to turn the heat on. There was no hair dryer and the bed felt like sleeping on a board, extremely uncomfortable. Spoke to staff in the morning who explained there was a dial on the wall that turned on the hot water, but by then it was too late, definitely not worth the slightly cheaper rate we paid.

In winter the heat was not turned on till we arrived. With 2 babies it was freezing cold till morning. Our babies were shivering! Beds were dirty, mold all over in the bathroom, ice cold room, booked because of the pool, called to confirm it will be open and it was but when we got there they said it was under construction and not open. Not good heat once it was warmer by the time we checked out. Lots of damage to the room and very old outdated bathroom. Tight parking and employee was not accommodating when we told all of this to. Would not recommend and if we could have gotten a refund we would have and gone elsewhere. Was told it's an apartment suit size and was very tight and hardly walk around room.
