Villa Saffron Hikkaduwa

Great Food Accommodation Staff friendliness

Beautiful villa with direct entrance to the beach. The deco was an amazing blend of old school and modern designs. The room was very spacious with a large veranda that leads directly to the pool. The common areas were very clean and tidy. The beach here is also relatively cleaner than other parts in this area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the food here as well. The chef has experience cooking at some top establishments in Colombo, so expect everything to be fantastic.

Pìęknie położona willa z dostępem do uroczej, spokojnej plaży. 15 min spacerem do turtle beach. Bardzo ciekawa, przemyślana i gustowna architektura. Wygodne pokoje połączone z patio. Wygodne łóżķa, super klimatyzacja. Czysty, fajny basen. Personel dbający o każdy szczegół, bardzo zaangażowany.! Było nam niezwykle miło spędzić kilka dni w tym miejscu. Polecamy każdemu

Large spacious room with comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. Large toilet which was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was amazing. Selected the Sri Lankan option and the string hoppers were freshly made. The curries were also good. The pol sambol in particular was fabulous! The curd and treacle was a nice touch! Staff were accommodating and courteous, notably Kasun, the Manager was very welcoming and always spoke with a pleasant smile. The pool was also great and very refreshing.

While calm atmosphere was lovely, it was a little too quiet. Would have been nice to have some soft pipe music to complement the beachside vibe.

The villa and landscaping

The staff not being around or not answering the phone when we called to communicate

We just returned from an incredible 19-day stay at Villa Saffron in Hikkaduwa — our second time here — and it truly feels like coming home. From the moment you step into the villa, there’s a sense of calm and tranquility that’s hard to describe but impossible to forget. It’s the kind of place where you instantly unwind and settle into a slower, more peaceful rhythm. The staff deserve a special mention — they are genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you need. Their hospitality makes all the difference and is a big part of why we keep coming back. Traveling as a family, it’s not always easy to find a place that ticks every box, but Villa Saffron does exactly that. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly suited for longer stays. In fact, we loved it so much that we’ve already booked 25 days for next year — and we’re counting down the days until we return. If you’re looking for a peaceful, home-away-from-home experience in Sri Lanka, this place is something truly special.

Immaculate property. Staff lovely, location excellent. Nice and quiet

Bed was very uncomfortable. Only a thin sheet so too cold to Use air conditioning but, to hot without. No other cover for bed available. I didn’t sleep at all well.

The room is spacious and neat but for €155,00 I think that is normal. Position on the beach

Disappointed if you expect something nice and also the reaction from the management on our comments. In the foto's you can see that this is not a five star rated property or hotel or villa, how you want to name it. Breakfast is served at your table but the western breakfast is about the same as what you get in every average hotel without something special (toast, Marmelade, egg choise, juice, bacon and sausages) Each day the same without variations. Mattress is with springrings and not comfortable, it’s an old mattress on hardboard plank. Swimming pool is like hot boiled water so not very refreshing. We also not see that it will be cleaned or refreshed as we have seen in all the other hotels. Everywhere on tables are clothes, other stuff and toys, like a children daycare.I understand that people with children have some toys but People with out children don't want to sit in their mess. The matrasses for sunlougers are dirty and broken. Sheets are with stains, same as lamp shade near the bed. We asked for the safety deposit box, this was not in the room so they brought a rusty one. They placed it in the closet without fixing it to something so everybody also could take it away. From the 7 days that we stay in the room we had 2 days hot water and after that we must look every morning for somebody to put the switch on. Each day they ask if they must clean the room ( I think that is normal for a five star rated room ) and even 1 day there was nobody and at 15.30 we ask the security guy to contact someone to clean it. Every afternoon the knock on your door to ask you if you want have dinner and what do you want for breakfast: Western or Sri Lanka breakfast and how late. We have holiday we don’t want to plan in front that I do for work….. Manager we didn’t see complete week but on departure day he came to our breakfast table to ask if everything was okay and if we want to give the villa a good review.

We stayed for a week and wished we didn’t have to leave. Beautiful small boutique hotel filled with antiques and art and the most beautiful things. Afternoon tea every afternoon was an utter treat and delight. The staff at the villa were wonderful, kind and thoughtful and always smiling. We fell asleep and awoke to the sounds of the waves crashing a stones throw from our room- Saffron Room- and it was just wonderful. Our room and balcony was huge and just lovely in every way. We will, without a doubt be back. Thank you Villa Saffron and all your wonderful staff for a fabulous stay.

Beautiful and boutique. Small and not crowded

Staff could be better about giving tips on what to do in area. When asked specifically about an activity they were able to help arrange, but it would be nice to get suggestions from them.

We ended our 4 week trip in Sri Lanka with a week at Villa Saffron. Kasun and the entire team made us feel very welcome but gave us the right amount of privacy. We stayed in the Saffron Suite which was just beautiful- tastefully furnished, so much space with the largest balcony I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to come back.

We like small boutique hotels because they usually give good service and the staff very friendly, Villa Saffron was both of these which made it a pleasure to stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food very good, we had the Cinnamon room with beautiful sea views which we’d try and book again when we return My husband had cause to see a doctor one night and a big shout out to Ambrose who dealt with it very professionally Thankyou to everyone for a very pleasant stay

Nothing

We’ve had a fabulous 4 nights at Villa Saffron, we really should have stayed longer, we will next time! Everyone was so friendly, the accommodation and the food were first class. My husband had cause to see a doctor one night and a big shout out to Ambrose who took charge and took us to the nearest hospital which was all dealt with very professionally Thankyou to everyone , till next time

Fab location. Great customer service. Attention to detail.

Nothing

Villa is modern and beautiful. We stay just one day but we would like to stay longer next time. Room was spacious and very clean, bathroom nice too, food was excellent. It was the cleanest place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only one note is that there were a couple of ants in our room, but we didn't mind.

The beach in front of the hotel is not the nicest

Beautiful spacious accommodation, lovely attentive staff and delicious food (thanks Cheffy!)

We enjoyed the quiet location of the property towards the less touristy part of the beach. Huge rooms, really good breakfast and the tea time served with banana fritters is something I keep dreaming of. Service was good although it felt more like a home than a hotel so at time we found it slow to find staff to speak to. Overall we had a great stay, very relaxed place, kind and friendly people and really good value.

We did stay in the Villa Saffron for 15 days at the beach in Hikkaduwa. One of our best holidays ever. The perfect place to relax. Fantastic breakfast, a very good dinner too, a very professional chef in the kitchen. You can find many other restaurants at the beach as well. Our room is very clean, always smiling and very friendly staff members. Mr. Kasun, the hotel manager, does a great job. He is the heart and soul of the hotel. Thank you Mr. Kasun and all the best, Lena + Mike from Denmark.

The best stay at our wonderfull trip around Sri Lanka. You cannot find better service from staff at this place. Very clean and fantastic place. On top of that they have the very best chef in the kitchen.

Beautiful boutique property situated beach front at Hikkaduwa. Staff are friendly and attentive. Relaxed atmosphere more like being at holiday villa than a hotel. Tastefully furnished by the owners.

Can't fault the property.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Villa - in an excellent location with beach front; designed for comfort, space and beautiful vistas. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delicious. All in all it was a great break.

The villa was fabulous and very comfortable and the staff were exceptional and polite The in house food was better than any local restaurant ans we highly recommended the chef Manager Kasun is available 24/7

Do not care about guests. Still awaiting response from 2 years ago when they gave us food they knew we were allergic to. Have attempted to contact multiple times and ignored

We were looked after very well by the manager and staff- pampered. The property is small, only four rooms, one day we were the only guests. The pool was lovely. Meals were excellent, and very reasonably priced. Villa Saffron is a beautiful boutique hotel.

Nothing.

Such a quiet stylish villa right on the beach with wonderful staff. I’m not sure what it’s like in high season but this was a wonderful stop en route to Colombo. Close to the expressway and near enough to a few restaurants and bars. The breakfast outstanding. We loved the tea and cake in the afternoon. Our garden room was huge with great aircon and a lovely garden on both sides. Most of all we loved the staff. Sunil was so lovely right from our arrival. Everyone was super friendly. We would 100% stay again.

Fantastic service and attention to detail

This boutique villa is the best in Hikkaduwa. Great architecture and decor that is very unique. Great friendly staff and the best authentic Sri Lankan food prepared by the in house chef. My family had a great time there and we can’t wait to go back again. The pool is amazing and the ambiance of the villa is next level.

Villa Saffron is always a must for my family and me whenever we visit Sri Lanka. We've been returning for years, and each stay feels like a dream. It offers all the luxuries of a beautiful hotel, combined with the privacy and spaciousness of an exclusive villa. The pool is simply stunning, and nothing beats afternoon tea followed by Sundowners—whether you're lounging by the pool or taking in the sunset on the beach. The private chef elevates the experience, crafting dishes from the finest seasonal ingredients tailored exactly to your preferences. Though this visit fell during the off-season, it was every bit as magical as we’d hoped. I’m already planning our next stay, this time during surfing season!

We booked villa saffron for 9 nights just to unwind and relax. And how perfect could it get! 1, the pictures don't do justice to the location, view or passionately done up property. The property overseas the ocean, is spacious and tastefully done. Utmost care is taken to ensure that your privacy is intact 2, Sunil and team - dedicated, compassionate and humble set of people who always go above and beyond, to make us feel comfortable 3, The Srilankan cuisine and the elaborate breakfast are a Banger! 4, The service is prompt - rooms are clean, property is always maintained neat and tidy and so is the swimming pool... You guys are doing an awesome job and keep soaring high !! Thank you for the amazing hospitality...

Nice archtecture, perfect oceanview location, quiet and cozy rooms. Sunil and his team were very attentive and gifted us with their kindness. We´re also grateful for personal recommendations we´ve received for daytrips and highlights to find in the near surrounding.

Very good breakfast

Quiet area (which is good), but it is a 15-20 min walk to restaurants and stores

The villa is lovely, and we had an excellent and relaxing stay. Sunil and the staff went out of there to make sure that we were well looked after, and made us feel at home. The food was great, the place was clean and extremely comfortable. We will definitely visit again!

Stayed at this beautiful boutique villa/hotel for 3 nights at the start of April and my family and I absolutely loved it. We travelled around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and without doubt, this was the nicest accommodation we stayed in. The staff were all so nice, helpful and available to assist us and there is a private chef cooking great food all day/night... And the food is cheaper than most restaurants we visited and far superior. The manager, Sunil went above and beyond to ensure my family and I were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. If you're in Hikkaduwa, this is a great place to stay.

Everything! When you walk through that front door you are walking into a zen haven- absolutely divine. Every member of staff were extremely helpful for anything you need. They are there but not intrusive. The meals we ate onsite were delicious with enough choices for us. The pool is perfect, the rooms are large, the decor is gorgeous, and the price was perfect. We had friends staying in a large hotel further north, with buffet, multiple pools, and crowds - Villa saffron is a place to relax. We will definitely return.

there is nothing we could fault.

We can’t recommend this place enough. It was a peaceful oasis on the beach with incredible staff and fantastic food. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with such beautiful decor - every piece of art and furniture was carefully selected to create a calming ambiance. They do not sell alcohol but you can easily pick up your own at a local shop. We can’t wait to come back !!

Probably one of our best stay in 3 weeks of Sri Lanka. The hotel is perfect. Sunil and his team are very helpful and do every desire you could have. I wanted a special dessert and they even surprised me buying it especially for us. Food was exceptional..we ate several times there. The room we had was amazing. We loved every single moment. Thanks again to everyone. We would highly recommend the hotel and I would choose the same crew if I ever would open a hotel!

I stayed at Villa Saffron recently with my mum and my daughter. From the minute we arrived Sunil and the team were on hand for anything we wanted! (Even offering to send someone out to buy wine for us!) My daughter who is 5 was so well looked after and any food she requested was made with no fuss (even down to pancakes at breakfast!) She had Fish Fingers and chips every night and loved it! The complimentary afternoon tea was so thoughtful too! The pool area is lovely and my daughter spent most of her time in there. With there only being 5 rooms this Villa is so quiet and so peaceful and I would definitely recommend!

It was simply and tastefully decorated. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble.

Stop looking and get booking if you want luxury, peace and tranquillity - before its too late. If you want pure luxury, fully taken care of and a quiet unspoilt setting - book this beautiful Villa. If you're a details person read on............ Ideally I wouldn't write this review, through through pure selfishness so that when I want to book again there is availability! Villa Saffron is the ONLY place I have EVER wanted to return to, and we have travelled quite extensively over the years. Sunil is one of the most thoughtful people and is keen to ensure your stay is perfect, he caters for all your needs, and is able to offer advice for places to go and see. Kason is also a key member of the team who is also very helpful, either one is available at the property 24 hours a day so you feel confident you are in safe hands. All the team ensure the Villa is spotless and everything is available for you, they go about their work quietly without disturbance in their polite and charming manner. The beach is glorious, it is swept each day by properties and restaurants to ensure it is maintained and free of any debris (though there is little anyhow). To the left, you will find a long, peaceful walk with scatterings of bars, go to Catamaran - run by Sunil (a different Sunil to Villa Saffron) and his family. To the right there are lots of bars and restaurants, a short walk along you will find surfers racing the waves and places you can stop and watch. There are fishing boats which go out at night and if you are lucky you may find them pulling their catch in as you are eating breakfast, it was exhausting just watching them! We stayed in the Saffron Suite which was stunning, and huge. The balcony offered a glimpse of the sunset and provided some much needed shade at the end of the day. Outside the 2 rooms upstairs there is a seating area inside and another on the balcony, these can be used by other guests but as there are just 5 rooms at this property and there are seating areas downstairs there is so much space we found we were able to be on our own most of the time.

A wonderful weeks stay in a beautiful boutique hotel. Sunil and his staff were very attentive and made our stay memorable enough to rebook again for next year. Highly recommend, perfect for couples who wish to chill and relax. Excellent food and service

This is our second time at Villa Saffron and it is still one of the loveliest places to stay. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, very clean, roomy bathroom. Service is excellent, Sunil and his team look after you the moment you arrive, with kind, attentive service. The breakfasts are fabulous, with a range of traditional Sri Lankan food on offer as well as more traditional breakfast items on offer. The food on offer during the day for lunch and evening meals is also delicious and good value. We ate there 4 times during our week’s stay and were never disappointed. The pool is beautiful, as are the gardens. The sound of the sea is never far away. It’s easy to go for walks along the beach, or get a short tuk tuk ride into main Hikkadua. Highly recommend.

We are 3d time here, and will come back again for sure🙏🏻 Peace of heaven in hectic Hikkaduwa. Mr. Sunil and his team made our holidays special as usual, they did their best to make our stay unforgettable pleasant 🙏🏻 best Restaurant in Hikkaduwa for sure, we didn’t wont to eat some were coz Chief in Villa Saffron did his best! Michelin star! Thank you so much🙏🏻 We plan our next visit to your little paradise.

Truly everything. The property is perfectly designed in taste and quality. But on top of that it’s the human touch that makes the difference: Mr. Sunil is special and makes you feel special. He takes care of all the details and suddenly you truly feel at home. I couldn’t recommend it more! Amazing stay!

Nothing

Everything. Great hospitality and service they would welcome you as a high end hotel, would do anything to make you happy, the location is beautiful and the whole villa. Sunil served us beautifully, making sure everything we need is there.

This was our last stop before going home. The best was saved till last! The Villa Saffron was wonderful! We were there for Christmas and the owner put on a special Christmas party for all the guests! His hospitality is extraordinary. This place was magical and I wish we could have stayed longer. I am definitely going to return.

Boutique, exceptional and yet intimate professional staff. Relaxed and spacious, felt like home.

Nothing.

We finished our 2 week vacation at this beautiful Villa. We were spoiled 3 days with top service (thank you Sunil and staff) and amazing food. The location is perfect, at the beach at the quiet end but walking distance to the beach restaurants and hang out places. Top.

The food is amazing. The pool is brilliant. Beach access is easy. Staff are very attentive and polite. I was on my own but felt perfectly safe.

The rooms are starting to look a little tatty - needs a bit of love. there were a few things went wrong with water pressure at the start of the stay, which were annoying, and meant I had to ask 3 times to get it fixed. They did fix it fast, and the staff were very good.

This was a very special place, we just loved it. Lovely staff with manager Sunil at the top, swimmingpool, garden just by the sea, beautiful rooms. Just 5 rooms in the villa which makes it familiar. Beautiful architecture and styling. We were served meals in different places every day, the terrace, the garden, the beach We will be back!

Sunil is the best manager ever. He will ensure that all your requirements are met with the biggest smile and makes sure you have the most amazing experience ever staying at the villa. The place is aesthetically pleasing and the food is also really great.

Very nice and cosy villa. Exceptionally hospitable staff, especially we would like to thank manager Sunil.

Everything was great.

Lovely villa with such a nice decor in Hikkaduwa. I stayed there with my mom for 2 nights during our trip to Sri Lanka and it was the most beautiful place we stayed at. The hotel staff is very attentive and caring. Shoutout to Sunil who helped me while I was struggling with a cold due to the humid weather in Sri Lanka, he was very nice and prepared a steam inhalation for me. We also met the hotel owner and his wife who gave us great tips for Colombo. We can highly recommend this place if you want a beachfront boutique hotel experience in Hikkaduwa. Lastly, food was also delicious (both breakfast & dinner).

We were met by the property manager Sunil and his team at the entrance and they all looked after us for our two day stay. The chef provided exceptional food, well presented. Anything we asked for, they provided and we enjoyed the location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The rooms, decor, staff, security and location.

Nothing

The food was great! The staff was very accommodating. The meals were freshly prepared, substantial and very nicely presented. Great job on the layout as well, and the tea is to die for! :)

Service was great, beautiful location, lovely building, pool, views, food

WiFi a bit unreliable

We loved the decor if the hiuse abd rhe fact that it does not have a hotel feel, but the ferl if a private, elegant beach home. The manager, Sunil, us very good and he is great butler. We recimmend Garden room or the upper rooms

The 5 rooms werd full during iour three daysstay, but menu items and soneservices were not available due ti the fact that "we are in low season". The Tamarind room fan was not wirki g. Hikkaduwa beach is civered with plastic bottles and business owners din't seem very interested un keepi g the beac clean.

The pool, the bathroom, the space, garden appearance. Some of the service from Sunnil was good. Setees for lounging

Big glass doors grease and re-varnish no light bulbs on balcony and jacuzzi barely worked and was overpriced and too expensive. Hikkaduwa is an eerie unfriendly over masculinized leering small town which makes you as a tourist feel uneasy. Sri Lankans in other areas are aware of reputation, this is re-inforced by guests being locked in day and night behind gates and main door with 5 males and one female cook….You cannot go into the sea because of currents and sharks.

A memorable experience. Very friendly hotel, we felt at home since the beginning. Food was delicious and healthy with the flavors of the country. Su Ike and his team did their best to make the stay pleasant and unforgettable. The room is very clean, comfortable and large. With a very relaxing garden and pool. See you again!

The interior decoration and layout was very tastefully done in our room as well as the rest of the public areas which complemented the seaside location very well. Moreover the staff were very friendly and hospitable and made our stay ever so easy and comfortable. The manager, Sunil was very attentive to us all and accommodated our concerns and requests in a very respectful and agreeable manner. Overall our stay at Villa Saffron was wonderful with the weather being the only negative. Hoping to come back again when the sun’s out.

Great location, friendly and attentive staff, boutique property

- A lovely greeting from the manager upon arrival. - Sunil really couldn’t do enough for us and even made us New Year treats. - Beautifully secluded pool right on the beach but tucked away for privacy compared some of the other hotels along the beach - truly stunning - The hotel is at the perfect part of the beach where people are few and far between. If you walk 30 mins down and around the beach to the right, it’s horrendously busy - stay where the hotel is as it’s so peaceful! - Lovely complimentary tea and cake each afternoon which is a nice touch - Very welcoming staff - Beautifully decorated rooms (and the whole hotel)

- WiFi is temperamental - Food isn’t brilliantly stocked from the menu, so choices often weren’t available - Ordering breakfast is fussy as you have to explain what you’d like from the menu the night before and select a time even though what you ordered doesn’t accurately come/at once etc So leave yourself plenty of time - No liquor licence, so bring your own beer, wine, spirits (or they’re very willing to go and collect you some which is good)

Sunil and his team are excellent at taking care you from the moment that you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place to completely relax and recharge, it’s perfect. We had a wonderful week there and can highly recommend staying at Villa Saffron.

The villa is absolutely stunning and is like an oasis of calm

It is a perfect stay for those who like quiet and calm and the personal touch and attention

Absolutely enchanting stay at Villa Saffron, a charming luxury boutique hotel. From the stunning beachfront location to the impeccable service, every moment was pure bliss. The rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, especially kudos to Mr. Sunil, a gentle, friendly, and outstanding manager who ensured our stay was nothing less than perfect - many thanks! The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was the cherry on top for watching a perfect sunset! Can't recommend this place enough!"

-

Like a private paradise. Liked everything about it.

Nothing.

The Best hotel in Sri Lanka. Quiet, 10 minute walking from hikkaduwa center, with great wide beach and 0 tourist (in city center lots of russians, always loud and drunk). In hotel only 5 Rooms, so very small, quiet and relaxed place. Nice food, great view, very helpfull Staff. Large Rooms, with great beds, very clean. We will be back for sure!

The property is located at the quieter and less crowded section of the beach. The team is very hospitable and the food is really nice. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse. They serve free tea and coffee with a light snack in the evening which was a nice touch.

The wifi is terrible. We had a lot of difficulty with it. In our room there was hardly any network even though the router was put outside. Then for a lot of stuff we had to sit outside just to be near the router and even then it was erratic. They really need to fix it. Secondly while overall the room is nice and spacious, the location of the Tamarind room isn’t quite great in the property. It has a common rest room next to it from the outside which impacts the privacy. Also the view is obstructed by a big plant which also impacts the light in the room. I would recommend staying only on the upper floor rooms.

Such a beautiful property, just as advertised. Our room on the 1st floor was huge (Saffron) with an equally huge balcony overlooking the pool/ocean. We had delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the terrace. It felt like our own private house at times! The surfing area was just over a 5 min walk up the beach, the main reason for booking in this location, but Villa Saffron certainly didn't disappoint for the non surfing member of our team! Sunil and his team were absolutely amazing in the way they looked after us. Would highly recommend Villa Saffron.

Great staff, great food, the stay was overall really enjoyable! The place has a great relaxed vibe!

The location of the property was excellent. Was an easy transfer to Galle where we spent a few hours. The Villa is a fabulous example of excellent architecture. All bedrooms had aircon and the bathrooms were lovely! The staff were very attentive and afternoon tea with a lovely freshly baked cake was served daily. Will definitely book again!

Nothing not to like!

I absolutely love my stay in Villa Saffron. Was lucky enough to spend few days there alone. Pool, beach, villa and stuff were all for me🤭couldn't imagine better ending of my holidays in Sri Lanka. Villa is lovely and in the room you can find everything you need. If not, I am sure Mr Sunil will arrange whatever you need. During stay you need to try their food-was fantastic! Absolutely worth money I spent on my stay

Nothing

Nothing but amazing! From the room to the staff to the food and the beach right outside. We’d come back in a heartbeat and stay for longer anytime. Sunil was sincere, knowledgeable and professional. Coconut ice cream was divine.

ALL WAS GREAT

NOTHING

The property is on the beach, has an excellent chef who rustles up Sri Lankan food. It is a lovely villa and has a nice sized pool. The manager and his team are very hospitable and really take care you. Very pleasant and helpful folks. It gives you a home stay experience and very discrete.

Small number of rooms, hence very familiar atmosphere. Management and staff is super helpful and friendly and showed utmost flexibility to make us happy during our stay. Amazing pool, a nice garden where you can relax and forget time, and direct access to beach. And: food (both western and sri lankan) is excellent!

We had the Garden room and very much liked the stylish concept how garden views were integrated into room and bathroom; that said the room is a bit darker than the other rooms in the villa, and you could slightly hear the traffic from the street nearby.

Excellent service in all aspects. Staff unfaltering in their friendliness, courteous and very competent. Sunil, the manager was a gem. Would return again, including also for the location, beauty and intimacy of the villa. The pool and garden are wonderful as are the common living areas. Thank you so much. Rosa and Larry

Loved everything. It’s an incredible property, not a hotel or Airbnb. It’s exquisite. I think they just have 4 beautiful suites, all of which have sea views. It’s way more gorgeous than words can explain. Staff is great (Mr Sunil was always around to help us for anything we needed), food was great. You can rent the entire villa for $900 or less. Both floors have a living/landing area so it can be rented per floor (2 rooms) too. I’m definitely coming back here with a larger group of people or family. Since it’s not a hotel, it’s very personalized service. Direct access to the gorgeous beach, parking and much more.

Nothing really. Although driver’s accommodation would be a plus. Our driver had to stay elsewhere unfortunately.

Hikkaduwa is a small village, one street, on the coast, a few hotels, guesthouses, shops, cafes. This villa is a cozy big house with 5 rooms - 5 suites. The attitude of the staff is the most attentive, help in everything. This is not a hotel, but your room will be cleaned, towels will be changed (toothbrushes and slippers are recommended to take your own), they will feed you breakfast, lunch, dinner at a convenient time for you, they will bring a sweet compliment at 5 pm with tea/coffee. A very decent level of nutrition is a wonderful chef who makes excellent homemade coconut ice cream and delicious vegetables in tempura, ravioli with pumpkin or fish in white sauce. Your little fastidious person will be selected a diet and patiently cook potatoes or rice in different ways (our 7-year-old young man eats little, but came home very well-fed)), separate words of gratitude - Sunil Dissanayake. There was nothing we asked for and didn't get. Thanks to Sunil, the guest feels at home. Thanks from our whole family! The beach opposite the villa is beautiful, but the entrance to the ocean is rocky and we were in the season of big waves. Swimming is not real. But a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to a nice beach (turtle beach), huge sea turtles come. On the beach, you can settle down in a "wild" way on a towel under palm trees (be careful, coconuts)) or at the hotel on the beach there is a good infrastructure (sun loungers, towels, pool, bar, you can take buffet lunches). The locals are very friendly, the rest was excellent.
