Noise isolation wasn’t existent, provided towels had huge holes in it and the one window to the hallway had a blind, but that let in so much light that you actually got blinded by the lights in the hallway.

The one hotels near Ben Thanh market, near food court, near backpacker area and Malaysian street, take a walk to the Nguyen hue walking street. It very convenient and good view. The room service is good and very competitive Price for tourist

When we got to the hotel. Everything is different from the photos they posted on Expedia. Even the front desk person admitted they are using the photos from different hotel. Room is stinks, wet and dirty, mold everywhere, stains all over the bed. We refused to check in or stay with them. The manager promised to us she will cancel the days that we don't stay and refund back to my credit card. It's been 2 weeks I'm still waiting for my refund.

It started with having booked at their sister hotel The Saigon Central and being booked out to The One Hotel due to overbooking. When we got to The One Hotel at 9h30pm, we were told that one of our rooms was not ready. Reportedly the previous guests had just checked out... at 9pm??? Nothing impressive about this hotel. It is in need of a deep clean and a coat of paint throughout. Another case of deceiving embelishments being abused such as photo filters, use of accessories like throw pillows and greeneries to lure prospective customers to book. We found left over party balloons in the drawer below the main closet. While we walked down the hallway to and from the elevator, we noticed that some of the rooms are very small and have no windows. Some of the doors had been left open by housekeeping. The one saving grace was one of the receptionists who was genuinely caring and professional. When they learned about our misfortunes and the inconveniences we had to put up with, they demonstrated great professionalism and proactively helped with sorting out our tour plans which had been compromised after being rebooked at a different location than planned. This employee deserves 5 stars.

The staff here were great from the cleaners to the concierge. A special mention must go to Yuki who showed a great deal of knowledge in all areas of travelling to Vietnam. She made me feel welcome and attended to any situations I had immediately. The only fault I have was with the concrete mattresses, but I suppose that's an individual thing. That would be the only thing stopping me from returning to the ONE MOTEL although it is in a great position close to all, but I like walking a lot as well.

Good value for money hotel. Very basic room without windows but for the cheap price we didn’t mind. Absolutely cracker location as we walked everywhere as most sights within 5-30 minute walk from the hotel. Staff were very helpful and nice, allowed us early checkin for no additional cost and helped split a few 500k notes we had. If you’re mostly sight seeing in Ho Chi Minh and just need a place to sleep this is perfect.

This looks líke a homeless motel- very dirty with cockroaches running.. The picture online looks totally different. We checked in and out same night cause don’t feel safe to stay.

Hotel is cheap, it’s state is in relation with price do no surprise, convenient, but you should know when booking. But inside Is clean and ok so safe stay.

When we booked the room we thought it would look like the picture they posted, it was definitely NOT. The room was old, water leak marks/ stains, exposed wiring, sewage smell, mildew in washroom, no shower curtain and bath tub wasn’t fastened to wall. This hotel should be rated a 1 star. I could tell the receptionist were embarrassed when we told them that the room they gave us was horrible. They didn’t offer us another room. So we shorten our stay. The restaurant beside the hotel was noisy and lasted till 5 am. I definitely would not stay there ever.

Il n’y avait pas de SPAS comme annoncé,,,,,ne changeait pas les draps à tous les jours ....la salle d’entrée Servait à des étudiants qui venaient étudier , Le marches de l’entrée était toujours bloquées par des motos de clients du restaurant à côté,,,j’avais réservé une chambre supérieure ça n’a Pas été ce que j’ai eu ,,,par contre les employés étaient aimable

Very disappointed, i didn't believe the negative comments ; lesson learned. I rented 2 rooms. 1 was full of mold in the bathroom, the other room had a pillow with hairs on it, they didn't change the pillow covers. I couldn't believe this hotel was listed by expedia. This is the worst experience I've ever had. The business is still alive thanks to customers like me, not so smart!

AVOID!!! I rarely give 1 star reviews, but this property deserves it. The walls are full of mould and there is a horrible smell in the rooms. I kept coughing all night and I'm not usually so sensitive to smells, so imagine... Also, the bedsheets had stains but that's a secondary issue compared to the mould. The pictures they have on Google and Expedia are old and fake. Have a look at the attached pictures to see how the rooms look today.

I reviewed on hotels.com but it does not appear to have been allowed out? There was a big leak in hallway which wept into our room, which was mouldy. Our bathroom had exposed wiring which did not instill confidence. We didn't complain as it was out first night in Vietnam so we didn't know standard. Worst of 11 hotels we stayed in by a mile. Girl at desk looked really unhappy that we were there.

Terrible! Falsely advertised that there were certain facilities/amenities that didn’t exist on the premises. Poor wifi, holes in the wall, non English speaking staff. A horrendous experience overall.

I stayed there 3 nights with my family. The room didn't same the picture they posted. The room looks old and the bed not clean i saw some hair and dirty on the sheet. The floor dirty too if you not wear your sandals in the room. I will never come back there anymore.

Had good internet, hot water, fridge and AC. Bed was clean. I liked the firm mattress. Location is great. Near marakume udon and starbucks etc. The room had all kinds of stains and gobs of goo on the walls. Entire ceiling panels were covered with black mold in the bathroom. The night manager gave me unapproving looks whenever he saw me. The day manager tried to act like i hadnt paid when i had already paid through expedia upon checkout, but stopped asking for money when he realized the night manager had already returned to me my passport. Its next door to a 24hr family mart w great snacks. A step up from a hostel, since you'll have privacy and youre own bathroom (toilet and shower werent too bad). If youre on a budget, go for it, otherwise I'd say try another arrangement

I stayed for 2 nights. The room was cozy and spacious, except for some light problems. My trip ended with the kind support from Ni who lent me some money to cover my trip to the airport. She was really nice and helpful. Will definitely come back!

We used our Expedia rewards and almost paid nothing. The staff is really friendly and we were able to check in at 11am when we arrived. The family room was spacious with two large beds and clean. There is AC, a TV, a fridge and free water. Downstairs is a small spa where we had one nails done. You can easily walk from here to the market, Notre Dame, the post office etc. Don’t expect anything fancy, but for the money spent this was a great deal!

The hotel is in a good location (5mins walk to the main Ben Thanh market) with May restaurants and cafes near by. I stayed in a family room which is comfortable for 4 people. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, however the WiFi was slow. I would stay here again.

Not clean,not as shown on pictures-disappointed with the room but excellent customer service we did not try changing the rooom as we were not planning to stay for long

We stayed at this hotel for few hours before catching our flight. Very Quick check-in and out. Helpful staff. The room smells musty but improved with aircond on.

Room was nothing as compare to the pictures shown. Its a bit run down but the good thing is that fridge,bathroom , lighting and aircon is working fine. Fast check in and check out. Location was very good , with walking distance to the Ben Thanh market and to Bui Vien. Cleanliness could have been better, a speck of dust can be found on a cushion.

The hotel is in the heart of the city and accessible to all restaurants, retail shops, massage shops, and transportation. Very near to the famous Ben Than Market. I also got room upgrade to upper floors and located at the back of hotel which I liked, because it is quite to compare rooms that just viewing the busy street. My dislike is, the 4th floor was become a segregation area of linen/laundry things. The staff is using the corridor as segregation area and stock area most of the time. In the evening, I can hear them talking and discussing at the corridor which is disturbing. Whenever we go out, we should pass the bundle of newly delivered washed linen items before we can reach the elevator/lift. But overall, it is a nice stay.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace to the hospitality business. When we arrived at 11.30 pm, were told that our room was given away and they had no rooms left for us. Their reason was that our creditcard didn't work, they alleged to have sent us emails that same day to alert us. They shouldn't be charging us before arrival anyway. However, I never received any emails and my reservation on booking.com was not cancelled. After demanding a solution, as it was almost midnight, they "offered" to call around to put us up in one of their partner hotels. This would obviously take to long, so we booked another hotel in 2 seconds and forced them to cancel our reservation on booking.com. Their answer was that "they didn't have acces to booking.com" via which site they claimed to have informed us about the cancellation. Total bull ofcourse. After a claim with booking they finally cancelled without cost. Yelling at them doesn't work, because then they suddenly don't speak english anymore. So, to sum up, this hotel is absolutely disgusting, they SCAM you without any shame, they don't care at all and they take the crown on bad experiences. DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, where they know the meaning of the word respect.

Great location. Hotel is very basic. It is more like an upmarket hostel. Its ok. My room had no window so if thats an issue for you may need to check. Noisy wall clock which ticked loudly all night. If i stayed another night i would have had to have killed it!!

I stayed here two nights in November. I felt like it was a great value for the money. The room was spacious and reasonably priced, the breakfast was adequate (I got there late and it was pretty cold but that was on me) and the front desk people were FANTASTIC. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and they were very friendly. I appreciated that, since I was in town alone. There was basically a monsoon while I was there, so I didn't venture out much. I went to the coffee place on the corner and I got a tattoo at Spade Tattoo, all very conveniently located by this hotel.

Booked this hotel because of its central location. No windows in this room but it was clean. Staff excellent and would go out of their way to help. Not a bad breakfast , in fact one of the better ones in Vietnam.Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

We had an awful experience at this hotel horrible service. The advertise a "free laundry" service but that only includes one outfit a night, which was just one of many disappointments . A better hotel could be found for the same price.

Just a few steps to Ben Thanh Market and Halal food restaurants, they gave free laundry services(1 shirt + 1pants only) . You can choose your breakfast and they will send it to your room every morning.

Booked direct from the website and paid VND800,000 per night for a suite upon arrival, for 2 adult and 2 children stay. Plus point; 1) near enough to walk to Ben Thanh, far enough from the noisy street( do not ask for window rooms if you wanna be quiet) 2) simple breakfast provided, most of the hotels with this price range does the same 3) free laundry for each guest limited to 3pieces per guest per day, collected in the morning and delivered in the evening itself 4) receptionist speaks English and the owner TAN speaks a few, one of it was French 5) overall room was clean 6) bellboy/doorman was quick enough to see guest arriving, immediately running out to help on your luggage once your taxi stops 7) at night there is roadside seafood stalls for dining till late, typical Saigon style where you seat on very low chairs and tables Downside; 1) 2 bedded rooms are too small 2) the elevator failed and the cleaner was stuck in it more than 1 hour 3) rooms are little too dark for guest traveling with kids 4) stayed in 2 rooms and both AC doesn't really work well 5) compulsory to drop off room key when you leave hotel 6) all guest passport to be held by them till you check out 7) creepy and narrow walkway on upper floors Conclusion; 1) more of a guesthouse/BB 2) typical backdated wooden furniture all over 3) I will not return to this hotel if I'm traveling with family due to tiny rooms and not children friendly There is plenty of Hotels in this area which you will not be able to find on the internet, no worry, just walk in and price is lower.

We booked the hotel thru airlines (ticket + hotel) at Ava 2. We booked 4 family room for 5 adults and 3 children. We foresee there might be additional people joining in our trip in last minute thus we go for the family room which could occupy 4pax. True enough, there are 2 additional but since we book family room, we presume the policy for 4pax adults in a room applicable. However, upon reaching, we were told to pay for the additional pax (USD5 per pax per night, we need to pay totsl of USD30). To made the matter worst, there is no room for us. They move us to Ava Hotel nearer Ben Thanh market. We don't mind, it just that there is no apologies given for the inconvenience they caused us and made it as if they have done us a favour. The toilet is either emit strange smell, flooding when we took our shower or low water pressure. There is no coffee or tea in the rooms. There is no consistency of providing the towels...sometimes they change everything but sometimes you get only towels. They only provides 1 small soap (bath soap) which to be share among the occupants of the rooms. The mineral waters in the fridge is not free, chargeable VND10,000 each. You can get cheaper ones outside near the K Mart. They will retail your passport with them during your stay which means surrender your passport upon check in and returned to you upon check out. Breakfast is the same during our 4d3n stays. Front rooms was noisy due to nearer to the street and next to a karaoke shop. During our stay, there is knocking sound (unsure is renovation or the karaoke shop) happened in the night time until almost 3am as 3 of our rooms was located at the back portion of the hotels. I don't expect a 5 star service. But there are definitely needed improvement in their attitude and hotel environment. I have stayed in budget hotel and even hostel which is better than this.

For the second time we used the hotel's laundry service. In by 10:00 AM ready by 5:00 PM. The current cost is 26000 dong per kilogram. The clothes were properly washed and folded. The manager and service desk people were great. Great location.

We were backpacking to Ho Chi Minh City. Ava hotel was a very good hotel. Good staffs, clean hotel eventhough it is a small place. The hotel serves bread for breakfast with some fruits. The good thing is, this place offers you a free laundry every day, so you don't need to bring many clothes.

the hotel is old, furniture old, but aircond looks new but leaks water after 2 nites but they got it serviced the following morning....after that its very cold, daikin brand aircond i like plus there is a stand fan to supplement the coolness of the room, breakfast super simple coz the only thing i can eat is bread and butter, bread n cheese, bread w eggs...drinks can choose...best part i can have it in my room, lobby only 3 tables plus 6 chairs,the shower area can be improved, laundry service for guests is the best i feel, my clothes are being collected n sent to me by 4pm...very good and efficient, bellhop very hardworking, 5 mins walk to ben tanh mkt and 8 mins to malaysian street, there r better hotels in front..Lan2, kelly, kingston ,ha my but i choose AVA coz of laundry services and 2 queen size bed fit for 4 person..... Staff is pleasant. many peddlars outside the hotel selling knick knacks. Next to hotel is Kg Pandan Rest serves good Halal food but in HCM halal food seems expensive. One plate of fried rice ard RM 20, 95000VND, S$8.....but taste is good.... easy to walk to War Remnants museum n Notre Dome, Post Office etc

After contacting the hotel directly by email, they helped arrange my transfers between the airport and hotel. The rides themselves were uneventful (i.e. no attempted scams by anyone!) Hotel staff were courteous and helpful with our luggage. Those who marvel at the narrow buildings of Vietnam will be pleased to know that there is a lift in this hotel, albeit a small one (max. 4-5 pax!). Hotel staff helped bring our luggage to the room as it could not accommodate us and luggage at the same time. Although the hotel is starting to show its age, the room was clean. Amenities of note: in-room safe, mini kettle, free wifi (signal strength may not be to everyone's liking, or perhaps that's because there's 3 of us using it at the same time!). A sign in the lobby says free calls to land lines in a number of countries, but I didn't find out more... A personal computer is provided for guest use in the lobby. There is limited free laundry, but since we arrived at 2.30 pm and would leave at 5.30 am the next day, there was not enough time for us to enjoy this benefit. It seems ironing is included, for I saw a woman ironing someone's shirt in the back room. Breakfast is served between 7 am and 10 am, and again we did not get to enjoy this. They would give you a 1-page menu (which unfortunately I didn't read) the evening before, and you order accordingly.

Nice service from the staff. When we arrived, our room was not ready yet, then we got upgraded room for free till the previous room ready. the best thing was the free laundry for 1 pair each person. Will definitely come again
