Khemra I Guesthouse vs Similar Hotels

Mixed: comfortable beds and spacious rooms reported frequently, but problems with old/weak air-conditioning, occasional bathroom door/shower temperature issues and some maintenance needs.

Mixed to negative mentions: multiple guests report a dirty/murky pool and general signs of being a bit run down (broken deck, maintenance issues).

Consistently praised: central location, short walk to riverfront and town, convenient for buses and tuk-tuks — repeatedly noted as a major advantage.

Generally praised: many guests describe staff as very nice, helpful and attentive (helped book tours, upgrades). Some isolated reports of unhelpful staff or slow manager response, but overall service is a clear strong point.

Mixed breakfast feedback: some guests praise a good breakfast (bacon, fresh bread), others find it basic or poor; overall serviceable but inconsistent.

Basic but present: small saltwater/splash pool and breakfast area; however pool maintenance is inconsistent and some facilities (deck, signage, no elevator) show wear.

Standard quality for this hotel tier.
