Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The welcome upon entry by Kosal was first class. Beautiful and clean hotel from the doorstep. The swimming pool is possibly the best pool I ever seen. Fresh water, and so very relaxing. I'll be coming back here to stay on all future trips to Kampot.

Terrasse petit déjeuner à rénover car limite dangereux, bon pour se tordre une cheville. Piscine très petite avec peu d'espace et présence d'un rat. Petit déjeuner avec papier à remplir, pas de buffet et pas de self service. Prix trop élevé pour ce genre d'hotel

It is a bit ran down, like you almost can’t spot the hotel name at the entrance, the deck near the pool is a bit broken and things like that.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026We hebben dit verblijf geboekt als last minute nadat we bij Retro Guesthouse verbleven en daar een zeer oncomfortabel verblijf hadden gehad (slecht bed, veel muggen en geen airconditioning). We werden enorm goed ontvangen en we hebben een fijne kamer gehad.
Éen kraan van de twee kranen op de dubbele wastafel werkte helaas niet en zat los. Verder was het een toplocatie en ook een goed bed, airco en goede service.

Le personnel n’était pas serviable. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés nous avons du monter seuls les valises sur deux étages sans ascenseur ni aide car seule une femme du staff était présente. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment mauvais. Un effort pourrait être fait pour avoir quelque chose d’au moins convenable. La piscine est sale, l’eau est trouble et verdâtre et plein de choses y flottent.

La porte de la salle de bain ne restait pas ouverte et il faisait un peu chaud de ce fait… Pas de café glacé le matin, dommage. La piscine pourrait mieux être entretenue.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026We stayed for 2 nights in mid July, it was still pretty hot, the aircons in this property need to be replaced completely, they are old and not working as they should. We changed rooms, since the 1st room no. 110 had a Aircon barely was throwing any air out, it looked and functioned like any old Aircon would. The breakfast is fairly basic, eggs to order or cereal, with mini baguettes reheated in a microwave, some fresh fruit, canned juice, tea/coffee. There's a splash pool which we didn't use, adjacent to the breakfast/lunch/dinner area. Location is good, close to the Durian Circle & the river front, you can walk from your bus drop off to the property. Kosol, the manager needs a bit of coaxing to get things done, he means well, but you will be told wait for 1 hour or 2 hour if not working/happening whatever it may be then he will do the needful :) Do not expect boiling hot water or great pressure, the rest all works fine, beds are comfy, slept well. Everything works, like it should, no surprises good or bad, which takes away 99% of your worries when on a holiday, a safe place to come back to.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Lovely quiet boutique Hotel in area close to town. Just $1 in a Tuk-Tuk to riverside. Many shops & restaurants just a short walk away. Quiet street, could not hear traffic in my room. So peaceful at night. Lovely little saltwater pool surrounded by tropical plants. The staff were extremely helpful with everything. Ensured that I had a room on the first floor as requested and upgraded my room because I had booked for 1 week. Good selection at breakfast from a menu. Western or asian cruisine. I have booked an extra week because I am so delighted with this lovely quiet hotel. Best stay in 2 months so-far in Asia.
Trying to think of something I didn't like - but nothing comes to mind.

Room was absolutely stunning with views from the balcony over Kampot. 10-minutes walk to some lovely places in town. Really nice and plentiful breakfast. Also created a very, very cute display for our anniversary. Brilliant value for money.

The air conditioning was not working properly and there was a constant bad smell from the toilet or toilet drain that filled the whole room. Not very pleasant!

Difficult for us to find. We are travelling by bike and cycled up and down the road and passed the hotel without spotting it. There's a damaged floorboard in the breakfast area. The leg of my chair found it before I did and sunk down 40cm. I was nearly thrown on the floor.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026Location was good, not a far walk (10 min) to the river, with markets, street shops in between. Balcony was large and good, I was able to see the sunrise. Beds were comfortable. Our room was spacious. The included breakfast was good. Our reception desk man was very helpful and also very efficient & spoke very good English.
We booked this because it was one of the few in the city area with a pool but there was green moss on the grout lines so I only used once. I found this to be the same at my next location in Kampot. May be it is just a Kampot thing - so don’t book it for the pool. I like the outdoor bathroom but there was a small green moss where the water drained and there was a slight odor. If this was scrubbed up I think it would be a 9/10 property. I would still book again.

L'idéal quand même, est de louer un scooter pour se balader aux alentours et jusqu'à Kep. La chambre était très propre, le petit déjeuner à la carte suffisamment copieux et la piscine très agréable pour finir la journée. En bref une jolie surprise à recommander.
