El papel de baño sucio, increíble que ese detalle se pase desapercibido al ser un artículo de HIGIENE. Dicen que hay que apartar el estacionamiento privado pero al final nos dijeron que el que llegue primero es el que lo tendrá, La televisión chueca y ultra pequeña, no cargaban los canales hasta que fueron, cambiaron el papel y reiniciaron el aparato. La habitación no coincidía con las fotos que presentan en la aplicación. Lo que más molesta es esto último y el papel higiénico por una habitación de más de 2 mil pesos la noche.

La falta de teléfono en la habitación: para pedir algo hay que ir hasta la oficina. En mi caso, el manejo del control remoto de la tele.

Reviewed May 26, 2026The location is amazing. Close to the historic center but still in a quiet area, with a lot of greens around it and beautiful bird sounds in the morning.
A lot of mosquitoes at night. Like a lot and they are annoying. We booked the master suite with a kitchen but we didn’t get the room as promised in pics. Instead we were provided with another one with no kitchen but with an additional mezzanine with a small bed. It is ok with the new room but we’d appreciate it if they inform us in advance.

La habitación “deluxe” no tenía ventilación, hacía calor adentro y no se podían abrir las ventanas porque entraban mosquitos y no había mosquiteros. Había un ventilador que hacía muchísimo ruido.

Reviewed Dec 26, 2025The property is quite close to Centro, which makes it convenient to explore the area. There’s a small convenience shop located just outside, and a great restaurant nearby. Location is excellent - just a few steps away from the park as well.
Not much, a tea/coffee service to the room would have been a welcome addition, but overall no complaints. Loved the stay!

Reviewed Nov 22, 2025Lovely garden, quiet, except for outdoor dance school every night across the street, spacious room with small balcony (junior suite), comfortable mattress and pillows, hostess who was there most days is a sweet and friendly woman (we chatted daily over morning coffee).
Zero counter space in the bathroom, including the sink surround which was curved downward, the shower head produces stinging needles of water, uncomfortable furnishings (no headboard so you had to lean against a metal pole that was part of the bed frame), no cushions on metal bench or chairs, coarse straw carpet is rough and can’t be vacuumed, tawdry curtains on the metal 4-posted bed, no breakfast, no restaurant, and it’s a number of blocks from any coffee shop or breakfast place.

Only small issue we had was occasional smells coming from the bathroom piping. Had this in many places in Mexico so it’s not a surprise to us.

I stayed here 5 years ago and had a great experience so I expected the same level considering I stayed here for my wedding's night. MAN was I wrong, my fiance and I decided to rather go to my parents-in-law Airbnb than to stay here. Here are all of our problems with it: 1. NO BLACKOUT CURTAINS, my god, it's 2025 and you have a white, almost transparent curtain and a full open skylight with no option to cover it? The sun woke us up at 6 AM after our wedding finished at 2 AM, BE CAUTIOUS IF SUNSHINE WAKES YOU UP. 2. WIFI WAS NOT WORKING, we had to rely on mobile data since only one corner of the whole room even had internet access and was super slow. 3. NO AC and their only offer was a half broken fan that made noise like crazy and couldn't turn around the room, it was summer and global warming is here, any hotel in San Miguel needs AC nowadays be VERY wary. 4. NO NOISE REDUCING DOORS AND WINDOWS. It is well known at this point that there are random celebrations in San Miguel that have fireworks at 4 AM in a random Tuesday, I understand that, but whilst other hotels have modernized their hotels with door and windows that suppress noise to help the customers, Casa Liza has decided that that is not important at all, welp the fireworks felt like they were literally next door with the lack of noise isolation in the room. 5. The restaurant is permanently closed fyi, if you want any type of food you'll need to exit the hotel. This is but a few of our problems with Casa Liza, honestly I was so dissapointed that in a night so important for us instead of having a marvelous night sleep it was probably my worst stay in a hotel in San Miguel, super dissapointed, I will actively tell people to avoid this hotel like the plague.

Lo que no me gustó es que en el baño se sentía un olor a cañería cuando abría las llaves del agua. El internet WIFI tampoco tenía alcance en mi habitacion.

The last night we were there, there was a group in the patio making a lot of noise until about 1:30/2:00 in the morning, I thought staff should have quieted them, they were very loud.

El colchón no era comodo para 2 personas porque tienia un hueco en el centro. Aunque la habitación es amplia y linda, el cuidado y detallado de limpieza esta ausente. Aun cuando el concepto es rústico podría tener mejor mantenimiento. Y nuestra tele no funcionó por falta de conexión a internet

No tienen blackouts qué tapen la luz de la puerta principal.

Reviewed Oct 2, 2025La ubicación es excelente porque se encuentra en un sitio céntrico pero tranquilo, cerca de lugares maravillosos como los lavaderos y el parque Benito Juárez. El lugar en sí mismo es muy lindo, con jardines maravillosos.
Se echa de menos un servicio de restaurante, quizá al menos en el desayuno. El precio por mascota me parece elevado sobre todo porque no se informa en el momento de hacer la reservación.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2025The staff were very helpful and the gardens/grounds were lovely. Excellent location to begin our exploration of San Miguel! The rooms and buildings are thoughtfully designed, and the furniture and style was elegant. We had to move to a new room after the water suddenly stopped working in our first room, and after heavy rain there was some leaking around the skylights in the 2nd suite. Despite these inconveniences, I still rank this as a nice place to stay. I had hoped that the suites with kitchens would be stocked with more cooking pots and dinning utensils - they weren't equipped to cook a meal.

La primera noche nos asignaron una pieza que no correspondía a las fotos ni a las especificaciones de la reserva, pero dijeron que en ese minuto estaban completo el hotel así que al día siguiente nos cambiaron. Las piezas son MUY calurosas y el ventilador del restaurante de abajo suena mucho.

Some of the furnishings are a little dated, but it’s all good. The hyper-active, picky travelers may get offended by a couple light bulbs being out or some worn lamp shades—but to (heck) with them! Casa Liza is a great value in a town that can be very expensive!

Reviewed Aug 29, 2025Os funcionários são excepcionais, a localização é ótima pois está poucos quarteirões do centro em uma ótima região. O quarto era amplo, limpo e cama confortável e o hotel muito bonito.
No mesmo local do hotel tem um restaurante aberto ao público de quinta a domingo, o barulho da coifa e funcionários começam desde as 07h, a música ambiente fica até as 23h. Estava na suíte deluxe Junior que o barulho incomodava. Pedi para trocar de suíte e os funcionários foram bem solícitos a atender o pedido o que melhorou um pouco.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2025We booked a room through booking we selected a room and beautiful pictures Once we arrived to the property we asked to see our room it was totally diferent from the pictures , we showed the proof and they simply said well the pictures are wrong that room has a diferente price and simply said if you like it if not you can go elsewhere We asked if we could talk to a manager and they simply said there are no managerd and the central office isnt available this was around 3 pm The place is run down and it doesnt feel safe avoid it there are much better places nearby with suberb service, to get our refund it has been a nightmare Avoid a bad experience we looked for a new one and simply great

*****Spacious room and comfortable beds, but misleading and unfair extra charges***** The room was comfortable, but the overall experience was disappointing. We were charged the same price as a full room per night for a small pet, plus a deposit and extra per room — none of this is clearly shown on Booking. Also, although I understand there was an accident due to heavy rain, the hotel did not provide any WiFi or internet service during our stay, yet they still demanded full payment without offering any compensation or solution. Lastly, after 1 week requesting an invoice, I still haven’t received it. Booking must enforce clear disclosure of extra charges. What looks like a fair deal ends up being an expensive surprise.
