Capeview Cottage

Een compleet ingericht huis, van alle gemakken voorzien.

In eerste instantie was er nauwelijks wifi en tv. Dat had nog te maken met de cycloon van een week eerder. Wij vonden dat wel heel vervelend en Brian heeft dat toen prima opgelost de tweede dag.

We liked its remoteness, it was very warm and quiet. Not too far from town.

The toilet was downstairs. The bathroom had no fan, everything got steamed up. If you opened the window, the bugs would come in. Cob webs 🕸 outside the bedroom doors, above the bed. The seaview was only from 1 bedroom but couldn't see on a rainy cloudy day.

Beautiful peaceful location with lovely hosts, own garden, great views. Short drive to the beach. Enjoyed various day trips and local golf courses and we would love to stay here again.

An upstairs toilet and wash basin would be a great improvement.

we loved our three nights among the birds and kiwifruits, with the ocean audible and visible from our comfy bedrooms.

In a wonderful, pretty area, set amongst a working kiwi farm. The area has many, a sight to see. Brian brought us the biggest, loveliest avo we’ve had in ages. And with the kiwi fruit season nearing, some amazing red kiwi fruit. Really chuffed.

Satellite was a bit hit and miss. Need to be able bodied to take the stairs at night, down to the bathroom. We had no trouble.

Views, environs

Big comfy beds, beautiful views, quite spacious. We had a lovely stay, even had family for dinner which was lovely.

We found a couple white tails, but thats about it

Brian and Kathleen are excellent hosts. The place is just such a special setting it is hard to describe. A little out of the way but if you like nice people, fantastic views, awesome gardens then this is the place.

This is a wonderful getaway spot! Beautiful sunrises and birdsong to start the day with everything you need for a quality holiday! Kathleen met us shortly after arriving and was super friendly and even gifted us fresh Kiwifruit. Easy to find and close enough in case you need to head into town but far enough to enjoy peaceful bliss.

Wish I had stayed longer! I started to get used to waking up here.

The location is beautiful and the owners are super friendly. The cabin is surprisingly warm and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I have to travel to the same location for work again in a month's time and will likely re-book this cottage for my little family and I.

Amazing cottage in the middle of a kiwi fruit orchard! A truly unique and magical home. One of the top vacation accommodations we have stayed in and would definitely recommend a stay at Capeview Cottage!

Loved the bird life and surrounding garden…Loved having a homely cottage to stay in. Loved that if needed we could have two bedrooms.

Would have preferred a topper on the mattress to make it a little softer.

Did not quite live up to luxury claim. Lacked en-suite upstairs and bathroom/toilet area downstairs basic. The small thing lets place down as it was good not exceptional.

Absolutely loved the tranquility. The beds were comfy, and everything was so clean and cared for. It was a bonus to see the Weka and I will definitely be back in the future.

Fantastic rural location but very close to town. Gorgeous setting, gardens and cottage. The photos on the booking site do not do justice to the actual cottage or grounds - it was so much nicer in real life. Luxurious bedrooms with great window views, good quality furniture, privacy, excellent road access, beautiful pure wool carpet that was a dream to walk on, excellent safety features and (although we didn't have one with us) pet friendly.

Shower over bath was a little difficult to negotiate for older ones (shower was good pressure etc though).

be aware bathroom is on ground floor and bedrooms are on second floor. front door is single pane glass door.

Property was excellent in a quiet and beautiful garden.

This is an outstanding property. It is tastefully & practically appointed with a beautiful private garden setting and views across the valley. The hosts are a font of knowledge for local activities.

The garden is beautiful! We had the best sleep in a great bed. The owners were friendly and even lent me gum boots for a rather wet wedding! This is a little gem!!

Tolle, großzügige Unterkunft auf einer Kiwifarm. Sehr bequeme Betten, voll ausgestattete Küche, Ess- und Wohnbereich, plus Terrasse mit Blick auf Berge und Meer. Einfach großartig, wäre gerne länger geblieben!

A beautifully appointed cottage with a view of the well kept gardens and Kiwifruit orchards. A very restful stay. A toilet upstairs would have been helpful to an old pair of legs! GG

Idyllic on a Kiwi fruit farm with good views.Interesting area with a good jumping off point for very rewarding scenic drive round East Cape to Gisborne. Really friendly owner with great dogs. Weak comes close to Cottage.

Could have been cleaned a bit better was very dusty and had lots of ants. Hot tub wasn't working however we used the owners spa as they are right next door. Overall we enjoyed our stay ☺

The kitchen is fully equipped and the bed extremely comfortable.
