Pool, slide, delicious food, mostly friendly staff, family friendly, budget friendly in a super 8 kind of way

Very noisy motor bikes throughout night would wake up multiple times per night even with aircon, earplugs sleeping aids and noise maker. Showers don’t have a door/screen very slow drainage entire bathroom gets flooded with every shower, no one answers phone have to communicate via booking.com or email, slow/unpredictable food service times, towels for shower or pool hard to come by, no elevators, allow non guests to have day passes to pool/facilities

说实话，酒店性价比极高。两张床很适合我们带娃的家庭，洗澡水很大，空调也很强劲，泳池超棒。

早餐有点单一，空调的声音有点大，这都不是太大的问题。唯一感到困惑的是住了4天，没人打扫房间的卫生和更换浴巾，交通出行还是挺方便的，就是去看沙丁鱼的沙滩有点远，TUTU车过去大概15分钟每次200P

Friendly staff. Beautiful pool.

The foul mouth teenager at the bar our last night. Rather ruined our expire experience. When I inquired who she was, and why someone her age was sitting at the bar, I was informed she was the owner‘s daughter. Her language would make a 20 year sailor blush….. We ended up moving to the other side of the bar and still could hear her plain as day.

I liked that the pool is huge and my kids enjoyed it. Property staff were polite. Location is near highway and market. We didn’t have to worry about car parking.

Family room did not have good AC. It was our 3rd time staying at this resort but the recent room we stayed in did not have a good AC. It did not cool the room and only the fan is making the room tolerable. It was the family room in the other building. Also no hangers or anything we can use to hang our clothes or wet towels either in the room or in the bathroom.

Probably the second best property we’ve stayed at during our whole trip in the Philippines. The staff were amazing by and very welcoming during our stay and were able to cater to our needs. We ate dinner both nights we stayed at it was delicious - a bit sad to see not many eating the the restaurant at the resort as it was amazing ad the prices were good. The pool was nice and accommodation was close to the mall and other places.

Aircon was in an odd location in the room so it didn’t cool down as much especially during the night.

Nice location in quieter neighborhood. We'll kept, friendly, accommodating staff and room was a generous size, clean and comfortable. Great place to take a 0 day after 3 weeks of constant traveling through the Philippines.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like. Distance to the nightlife in moalboal was a bit long, but not inconvenient as there is always tuk tuks available.

The restaurant was good, and it had a lovely pool and outdoor area. The room was decent for the price.

Internet is very poor here, and the shower was weak and leaking water around the toilet. Could use more basics (like a hairdryer, some utensils for food prep, and hand soap for the bathroom which I ended up paying for).

le point negatif et pas des moindre car si vous soihaitez vous reposer ce n’est pas le bon hotel. Le bruit dès 6h du matin du personnel ainsi que du voisinage. Le bruit des fontaines a eau dans la piscine. Et la clim fait elle aussi un bruit monstre.

Hotel ist sehr ins Jahre gekommen, es ist nie eine drei Sterne Hotel , alles ist renovieren bedürftig.

Disappointed that I tried via WhatsApp, bookings.com and email to contact the hotel as soon as possible to communicate circumstances beyond our control that we couldn’t stay. Mother in palliative care and other with less notice shoes compassion in our difficult time. All lines of communication were ignored without response.

Amazing infrastructure and great pool. Excellent food as well.

Absolutely nothing

Big swimming pool area and bar for families and kids. Great step-off location for visits to the Whale Sharks and Tumalog falls.

Bedrooms could benefit from some minor maintenance for air conditioners and showers.

This is a great place to stay if you have young kids and you want to just relax for a day after all the adventures around Moalboal. We loved it as my kids just played in the pool and on the slides for hours. The food was okay and the staff were lovely! The pool is the best part of this stay.

The location isn’t close to much- you’ll need a tricycle to get to places to eat or the beach. But that is easy to do. The beds in the dorm room had a built in pillow in the mattress which we found a bit uncomfortable. But otherwise it was a comfortable stay.

Via Booking staat dat dit hotel vlakbij het centrum is. Ja er is wel iets in de buurt. Een scooter reparatie winkel. Een bouwmaterialen zaak en een bril reparatie bedrijf. In de buurt is er wel een mall. Erg afgelegen en om naar het centrum te gaan had je transport nodig. Doucheruimte vol schimmel. Geen schoonmaak. Geen beddengoed wissel en geen handdoek wissel. Er was een bar ( zoals in de brochure stond ) alleen geen personeel achter de bar.

Being a large person I found bed mattress too hard for me, air conditioning was unfortunately loud.. I prefer a closed shower or at least a shower curtain, don’t like when water splashes everywhere

Fica 10 minutos de carro ou moto do local mais badalado da cidade.

Piscine propre et très agréable. La restauration pour le midi et le soir très bonne. Les serveurs au restaurant très sympa.

Une fille a l’accueil vraiment pas sympa, qui me prenait de haut. Je n’ai pas apprécié. Mais seulement une fille, elle s’occupait du checkin et du Check out. Mais tous les autres super agréable.

Big Pool and Spacious room

I stayed at Moalboal Tropics July 2025 for almost a week, the staff was good and hospitable, breakfast was the regular filipino breakfast which is plated and not buffet. At first i was impressed by their spacious room, BUT, on my second day at this place, I woke up with so much bed bug bites on my body, went to see the receptionist and told them of the situation and she told me that bed bugs has been an ongoing issue in their room, i asked to speak with a manager and he moved us to another room , they thoroughly check the new room and they bought me some cream for the itchiness of the bites and wash all of our clothes (needed to buy new clothes as we were worried that all of our stuff would have been infected), unfortunately, the other was the same, i had more bites in my body. I spoke with the same manager with the initials of M.S and asked for a full refund for the room that was infested, ( I didnt ask for a refund when it initially happened because they were helpful and was doing their best, only asked for a refund after having the same situation with the new room) he promised me a refund, i processed it through booking.com, but they decided to reject the claim, no integrity whatsoever to keep what we spoke about. It is very disappointing and unprofessional of the manager and business not to own up with what was agreed upon. If you love your body, DO NOT STAY. And if you have issues, make sure you get it written and signed or act on it before leaving. They will just SCAM you.

Nice hotel with good pool

This Resort is fantastic, offering easy access to everything Moalboal has to offer. Moalboal Tropics provides an excellent value and have a warm hospitality and peaceful atmosphere that made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Moalboal Tropics for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Also the staffs here were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and a recommendation for local restaurants or activities.

We were able to experience with it's stunning location, exceptional service, luxurious accommodation, making it the perfect getway for relaxation and adventure.

La piscina nonostante l’eccessivo cloro. Per precisare scrivo dei bambini ha un buco dove ci si può tagliare.

Acqua che sa di uovo marcio, pulizia inesistente, staff maleducato e irrispettoso. Abbiamo prenotato una camera al nostro rientro trovato pesce morto sul balconcino. La mattina seguente ci siamo svegliati alle 7 per altri ospiti che colazionavano davanti alla nostra porta… la lista è ancora lunga.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Frühstück war sehr nett. Die Zimmer sauber. Personal hat sich bemüht auf unseren Anforderungen professionell und kompetent zu reagieren. Ich würde es trotzdem manche Nachteile, es weiter empfehlen.

I had an amazing stay at Moalboal Tropic Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I also loved how peaceful the environment was—it felt like a perfect little tropical escape. The location is convenient, just a short ride to the beach and restaurants. Overall, a great value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Moalboal!

The place can get a little bit crowded at times, but I had a great experience overall!

The bar at the pool had cheap drinks

After swimming in the pool felt like my skin was burning a few hours later even showered after, aircon really sucked and when mentioned at front desk at checkout they said they hear that a lot, celing fan wobbling and at some point at 4am started making noise like it was going to fall off onto the bed over all not a good night rest

The resort's swimming pool exceeded my expectations! It was large, clean, and the lifeguard were always on duty, ensuring everyone’s safety. There was a separate kiddie pool which was perfect for families, while the main pool had just the right depth for swimming and floating around. The pool bar added to the tropical vibe, serving refreshing drinks and snacks. Great for a fun and relaxing day under the sun!

Very relaxing hotel with comfy bed, clean room a huge pool and amazing staff. The food was delicious and affordable. We really enjoyed our stay at moalboal tropics because everything u need is just a walking distance away from the hotel. And also near to the main attractions. Very worth it to stay in this hotel. We will sure to comeback again when we visit cebu. ❤️

Recently this month, we went here. The hotel ambiance is so relaxing, there are a lot of plants where you can feel the tropical vibes. This hotel is good for those people who want peace and to relax in order for them to unwind from chaos. Their staff are so accommodating. They also have a restaurant that serves sumptuous yet affordable food. And if you want to roam around at Moalboal, they also offer to rent a bike at an affordable price. And if you're the type of person that always wants adventures they also offer different adventures such as island hopping, canyoneering, whale shark watching and etc. All in all this place is amazing and best for recommendations.

I visited Moalboal Tropics last month with my family, and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the kids had a great time at the pool, food was delicious. The staff were very accommodating. The resort is also just a short walking distance from the mall. We will surely be back for sure.

The pool is good here and that’s about it (however it is pretty dirty at times). When we checked in we did not have any basic amenities such as soap or even towels. We had to walk to reception 3 times for towels, and were told “we’ll bring them to the room” but they never came. Our room was not cleaned for the 3 nights we stayed here. The bathroom floods and our toilet stopped working. We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Asia and this was by far the worst (and also one of the more expensive)

The was very spacious, the bed is very big and comfortable. The poole is big and well maintained with slides. The hotel restaurant has a lot of choices and tasty. The staff was very friendly.

The internet is terrible in the room. Basically we couldn’t use the wifi during our stay there. We didn’t know that we had to ask for the room cleaning so we waited 3 days before somebody cleaned the room. Personally I missed the hairdryer very much.

"Our family had a fantastic staycation at Moalboal Tropics Resort! My family love the Triple Deluxe Room it was spacious and clean, with a great view of the pool. The kids loved the kiddie pool and the playground, and the menu at the restaurant made mealtime stress-free. The staff were so friendly and accommodating even provided us with welcome drinks upon check-in. Highly recommended for families. Surely we will be back soon .

A little off the beaten path but that’s ok

We booked for 3 days initially and liked Moalboal so booked a further 4 days. Pool and slides are great, grounds are well maintained and eclectic. Room was as advertised, tidy but needed a proper clean.

Booking was annoying as a family of 3 we only needed a double room but that option is not offered for a family of 3 only for 2 adults - makes no sense. So rang and asked if we could book it for 3 they said yes. We were only given 2 towels though. And after a few days went and asked for them to be refreshed - new towels disintegrated and left white debris on our skin that was difficult to remove - bizarre! They did not service the room while we were there - considered buying a broom but used cloths to sweep and wash floors. Shower flooded the bathroom. Some staff were absolutely lovely while others were unfriendly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Didnt bother going down in the end for it. I think this property is tired and overpriced.

Not sure if it was something that like me really

The rooms are old pretty old. The AC system is nightmare, sounds like a engine all night impossible to sleep whit the AC on The breakfast is inexistent. There were nothing you can eat, there's even no milk for the coffee. Need renovation and investment to works as a real hotel We stay 4 night no services, no replacement for towels or toilet paper

Close to downtown

Everything actually. We arrived at the facility, receptionist is not in the reception, we still have to wait for them to assist us. Rooms were not ready when we checked in. No service water‼️‼️‼️Did not clean our rooms. Blankets smells bad. Even tissue paper is not placed in the bathroom. Although some staffs were great, facility not much. Not worth the money.

Not recommended. Bad experience, no service water at all. We booked ahead of time, yet our rooms still not fixed.

The staff were all very helpful and eager to do all in there limited power to please.

The property was very run down many things were in a bad state of repair or poorly maintained , the property looks good at first glance but was very rundown be careful not to bump things they are easy to break for example my arm lightly brushed past the outdoor shower by the pool and it fell apart as it was just sun rotten plastic , the water pressure in the room shower was non existant you would get a better shower using a watering can. No lift or elevator to the higher floors for the frail or elderly . The verandah tiles were very slippery when wet like skating on ice. The jug/kettle in the room was filthy needed to clean before using it. Tiles in bathroom were broken. Food was good. Swimming was nice but be careful with the pebble finished around at the pool edge were sharp.
