Sokcho & Guesthouse

Loved staying with June! She was such an amazing host.

I stayed for 14 nights. The host is kind, helpful and most welcoming. She cares for all guests in a motherly way. The guesthouse is clean and well managed. The breakfast is nice with coffee, self-made marmalade, egg and toast, yoghurt and cereals. The rooms are spacious and have TV and many power outlets to charge electrical equipment. The location is very close to shops, restaurants and bus stops. I can recommend the guesthouse for short and long stays, single or group travellers.

Gute Lage, sehr freundliche Leute, geben Tipps etc. Frühstück okay. Parkplatz 5000Won/Nacht oder weiter hinten umsonst. Bad etwas unbequem (Dusche im WC ohne Abtrennung, aber das ist üblich in Südkorea). Würde wieder hier buchen. Danke für alles.

숙소 찾기가 좀 어려웠습니다

숙소도 깨끗하고 4명서 사용하기에 충분했고 중앙시장도 가까워서 너무 좋았습니다

For the price, it is the optimal place, and it was close enough to many places in Sokcho. Very friendly and kind, and I would love to go back.

This was such a nice place! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and is really nice for a solo traveler! I would definitely come here again :)

The owner is super kind and responsive!!!! We loved staying here. Excellent location! Right across the street from the Sokcho Central Market, which is amazing for meals. Also about a 15 minute walk from the intercity bus terminal, and a ~15 minute bus ride from the express bus terminal. Pretty good sound-proofing. We slept well. Free breakfast too! Orange juice, milk, coffee, cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs. A place to refill your water! I'd stay here again! We were able to do luggage drop-off as well. Thank you so much!

사장님이 너무 친절하셨어요! 건물 외관과는 다르게 숙소 내부는 깨끗했고 기대하지 않았던 침대는 편해서 덕분에 잘 잤습니다! 조식은 간단했는데 맛있어서 매번 배부르게 먹었어요 아 그리고 잊고간 물건이 있었는데 친절하게 바로 택배 보내주신다고 해서 너무 감사했습니다 다음 속초오면 또 올게요!

We had a lovely time at the property. The owner was the sweetest and took great care of us. The property itself is beautifully kept and clean. Had a great experience in Sokcho.

가격 저렴하고 속초 중앙시장과 거리가 가까워서 먹을거리 볼거리가 많습니다. 가족여행이나 친구와의 여행에서도 좋은 숙박이 될 것 같습니다. 주인분들도 친절하고 잘 해주셔서 감사했습니다. 첫날은 비가 와서 건물뒤편 유료주차장을 이용하였고 휴일이라 다음날은 시청주차장에 무료주차 하였습니다. 그렇게 멀지 않아요..

개인방에 화장실 있는거 좋았습니다 전체적으로 깔끔하고 좋아요!! 아 화장실에 샤워기 물나오는거 정말 좋아요 물 시원하게 나옵니다 사장님도 좋구요~^^ ㅎㅎ 주변 무료 주차장들이랑도 속초 시장이랑도 가까워서 좋네요

친절하고 즐거운 휴식이었습니다. 조금 아쉬운것은 아침식사에 계란후라이 정도 추가해주면 더 좋을듯~^-^

속초 여행의 기억을 행복하게 만들어 줄 숙소 입니다. 정말 강추 합니다.

2층의 메인홀부터 분위기가 좋았습니다. 3층의 4인용 방을 안내받았는데 이불 상태, 바닥 상태, 화장실 상태 등등 전체적으로 불만족스러운 요소 없이 깔끔했습니다! 굳이 흠을 잡자면 커튼쪽 천장이 커튼을 움직일 때마다 천장과의 마찰 때문에 페인트 가루가 조금씩 떨어졌는데 환기 한 번 말고는 커튼 쓸 일이 없어서 무시했습니다. 화장실 크기도 작지 않고 드라이기, 멀티탭, 세면도구, 수건 등등 있으면 좋은 물품들도 있어서 기대안한 상태로 기분이 좋았었네요ㅎㅎ 맞다 4인방이었는데 건장한 대학생4명이 침대를 쓰기에 2인침대가 비좁은 편이었어요. 위치가 좋아서 속초& 게스트하우스로 선정했는데 내부 상태보고 더 만족했었습니다. 자느라 조식은 먹지 못했네요 하하

대체로 만족합니다

This place has a nice combination of hotel and hostel. Some international travelers were staying at the same time and it was nice to see that. The room was comfortable but two major issues made it not quite awesome. One is the a/c remote was nowhere to be found and there was no clear on/off button. There other issue was no screen on the bathroom window, so when airing out from showers, it inadvertently lets mosquitos in. We got destroyed by mosquitos, ruining sleep. So I had to youtube videos in the middle of the night to manually turn on the a/c to get some air in the room, so we could close the windows. Was hot and getting bit made for bad sleep. Also, the sheets situation. It does not appear to me that previous guests aren't using the same sheets. Normally, hotels (at least in the states) have a set of sheets your body touches between you and the blanket/comforter. There was none in this case. I don't see how the linen is being washed in between guests. Had to stop thinking about it to sleep.

모든게 만족스러운 숙소였습니다. 운영자의 세심함과 분위기가 잘 담긴 분위기 좋고 청결한 게하. 위치도 좋고 가격도 좋고 조용한 분위기도 너무 만족합니다.

I love to stay at this guesthouse with my family. Host alway welcome our family and they're very kind, I been here 3rd times and stay here because room condition always clean, location is best of the best & room charge resonable.

Loved staying here so much we went twice this year and stayed at this guesthouse while we explored Sokcho. Extremely clean, warm and is in the perfect location to do exploring! The owners are also super lovely and helpful! Hope to see you again soon- we’ll definitely be back!

저는 출장이어서 특별히 편한지는 모르겠습니다... 다만, 여행이라면 좋을 것 같아요.

주차와 찾기가 어려웠고 찻길가라 밤 소음이 어쩔수 없이 있는 점. 이층침대의 끽끽 거리는 쇠소리가 거슬렸던 점이 불편했으나 외부와 달리 청결이나 관리자분들의 대응은 칭찬할 만하다

주차는 근처 속초시청 이용. 바로 바닷가라 새벽에 배에서 작업하시는 소리들림. 아바이마을 겟배 나룻터와 5분거리. 주변에 생선구이집 많음. 속초중앙시장과 도보로 10분이내.

The host was very friendly and it was a very cozy place. It is very close to Abai village as well. Would stay here again in Sokcho!

4인 가족 머물기에 가성비 최고에요. 편안한 게스트 하우스였어요.

속초시내 중앙에 위치한 잘 꾸며진 숙소입니다 편리한 위치와 청결함이 최고의 장점이고 호스트분도 아주 친절합니다 주차장이 없어서 건물뒤에 사설주차장을 5천원에 이용 가능한데 단 수입차는 오버나이트 주차를 안받아줍니다 주말에는 걸어서 3분거리에 시청주차장을 무료로 이용할 수 있습니다 주차공간과 간격이 넓고 잘되어 있어서 조금 번거롭더라도 이곳이 훨 좋습니다..어차피 도로에서 정차해두고 체크인하고 차를 이동하는 행위는 어디에 주차해도 같으니까..

깔끔하고 좋았다. 여름이라 에어컨 잘 나오는 점이 굉장히 마음에 들었고 공동 주방도 깔끔했다.

겨울철이라 조용했고 침구도 깨끗했어요 아바이마을과 속초 관광 수산시장이 코앞이라 이동편해요 뷰는 없지만관광의 목표에 따라 뷰는 있고 없는거로~ ^^ 주인장 친절하시고 좋아요 가격대비 괜찬아요 ~

Cheap but clean. Right across from the Sokcho Market. Rooms with ocean view. Simple breakfast for free. Kind host gives you various sights information. Use prepaid parking lot.(5000won per day) Recommendable for those who want to save up money but rest in cozy and central located place.

Friendly owner, good location, walkable distance to many tourist spot and good restaurant. 15 mins walk from inter-city bus terminal.

Super accueil des propriétaires, bons conseils, GH très bien située, tres fonctionnel, un lit un peu petit... corrigé par un changement de chambre dès le lendemain. Tres agréable, à recommander.

다른분들에게 도움이 되고자 후기남깁니다! 지리적 위치는 정말 좋아요 근처에 중앙시장,아바이마을있구요 영금정도 버스로 금방이에요 뚜벅이 분들이라면 지리적으로는 좋습니다! 다만 시설은 관리는 깔끔하게 잘해주시고 친절하셔서 좋았지만 방 분위기는 삭막해요 고시원같은 느낌일까요 우중충하게 느껴져서 답답했어요 침구에서 냄새는 안나지만 좀 습했구요 화장실은 아주 깔끔합니다! 결론은 여행때 숙소 중요하게 생각안하시는분은 지리적 편리함에 추천드리구요 숙소가 쾌적한게 좋다 하는분들은 저는 우선 비추욤!

1박이었지만 편안하게 잘 쉬었어요! 무엇보다 시장이 엄청 가까워서 좋았어요. 조식에 내려주신 커피도 맛있었어요 :) 화장실에서 화장실 냄새가 좀 나고, 딱 문 열었을 때 향기가 조금 독했지만 창문열고 환기시키니까 괜찮았어요!

가족들과 두번째 속초였는데 위치며 서비스며 모두 너무 좋아요 내년에도 또 봐요

위치도 좋구 사장님도 좋고 다음에 또 이용하고 싶어요.

게스트하우스는 처음인데 깨끗하고 좋았어요. 특히 화장실이 엄청 깨끗해서 아들이 극찬했답니다. 주인분께서 매우 친절하셨고, 아침으로 맛있는 토스트와 시리얼까지 만족스러웠습니다. 건물주차가 안되긴 했지만 가까운 곳에 주차해서 불편함은 없었고, 중앙시장과 아바이마을이 가까워서 걸어가서 저녁먹고 오기 좋았습니다. 티비가 없어서 아쉬웠지만, 이 가격에 이정도면 충분히 만족합니다.

차 없이 놀러왔는데 위치가 정말 좋았습니다 서비스 청결 모든면에서 호텔과 비교해도 손색넚는거 같습니다

급으로 떠난 가족여행이라 숙소가 걱정이었는데 속초엔 게스트하우스 덕분에 즐거운 여행이었습니다. 일단 깔끔해요 건물 1층 입구가 약간 의외였으나 게스트하우스가 위치한 2층은 로비도 깨끗하고 좋았습니다. 2층침대가 있어 아이들이 좋아했구요 침대에 전기요도 깔려있어 따뜻했어요 침구도 냄새나 먼지없이 깨끗해서 좋았어요 위치도 관광시장이랑 가깝더라구요 다만 도로가라 차소리가 약간 들리고 전망은 기대 안하시고 가셔야해요 맛있는 조식과 친절하신 사장님 즐거운 추억입니다^^

즐거운 크리스마스 가족여행을 보냈습니다. 사장님 내외분 최고~~

地点方便 近景点。老櫚職員熱情 值得再入住 建議 早餐可提早至 7am 方便客人。 環境佈置不錯 有現代感。

Location quite good: around 15-20mins slow walk from sokcho intercity bus terminal, and near to the famous market / seaside Hostel condition: Very clean and tidy, simple setting but enough for short stay. The bed is comfortable. Just like home setting. The breakfast is simple like bread, jam... Staff: very friendly and nice, able to speak korean/mandarin Only one drawback: there are quite many mosquitoes in room, I don't know this happened only in my room or not? But there was mosquitoes-killing spray provided, and after I used them, the mosquitoes all died and not any insects in my room anymore. I still suggest this hostel as the CP value is high. Cheap price but nice stay.

주인분들이 친절 하시고 위치나 시설이 굉장히 만족 스러웠습니다~

今回で3回目の利用です。 グループ旅行で予約しました。ツインのお部屋を3部屋使いました。どのお部屋もゆとりと清潔で初めてのゲストハウス利用する友達も喜んでいました。トイレとシャワーもお部屋にあるので使いやすいと思います。 また、市場、アバイ村は徒歩圏内です。チンチルバンも近いので私たちは、お部屋のシャワーをせず、毎日チンチルバンでスッキリと汗を流してきました。束草は、雪岳山、温泉、海ととっても充実した時間を過ごせました。

Location was perfect! And also really clean room and bedding, even bathroom! I absolutely stay here again! So nice Host!

The hostel is nice, location is convenient (close to bus terminal), common area/kitchen is friendly. A good hostel but the rooms don't have lookers and for me this is a import must have therefore the low rating

Wonderful stay here. Owner was very pleasant and kind, also introduced us great price and very general amount of seafood restaurant. Simple cereal and toast breakfast. Quite and clean room, helpful, lovely and owner can speak English fluently.

The hotel is close to public transport and near attractions such as Sokcho Fish Market and Abai Village

위치는 정말 완벽했습니다. 호스트도 몹시 친절하셨고, 간단한 아침 식사도 먹을 수 있었습니다. 깨끗하고 조용했습니다.

Agréable séjour dans cette guesthouse, très bon accueil, cuisine très bien équipée, petit déjeuner bon et complet, un bémol pour la chambre qui manque vraiment de commodité il n'y a ni étagère ni tablette dans la salle de bain on ne sait où poser ses affaires

the hotel was ok perfect for the family but what i dont like is no towels im glad my husband had one. And also there were alot of mosquitos and something else, my son woke up in the morning he has bumps on the forehead, his arms, his body, and legs, he kept saying its itchy.

I didn't really know what to expect since it was our first time staying at a guesthouse. From the outside of the building it didn't look like much but once we got inside it was really nice and clean. We stayed in the family room which had a double bed, twin bed an a bunk bed. We had our own car which we parked behind the building for 5,000 won/$5 a night. The traditional Jungang market was only a couple minutes walk. So many seafood restaurants to choose from in the harbor areas. Seoraksan was about 15 minutes drive. The owner of the place is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I rate 10 out of 10. Location is 15 mins slow-walk from bus station. Very close to the market & abai village, yet it was quiet. The lobby/dining area feels like home. The dorm-room has bathroom in it and are spacious. Even the toilet paper provided and the bread served for breakfast are of high quality. I am sure to stay there again, next time.

The family room does not have a TV. With free wifi provided by the guesthouse, the guest can use their own mobile devices to watch movie. The guesthouse owner is very friendly. The washing machine in the laundry room is helpful as the guest can wash their dirty clothes after hiking in Seoraksan. Pls bring more of your own clothes hanger because only laundry rack is provided.

Other than the location, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a really comfort place.

The room was basic but clean. The owners are very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. However, the two downside to this guesthouse are: 1) it doesn't come with bath towel (only a small face towel) so you will need to bring your own, 2) the mattress is not very comfortable, especially for those with back problems. But for the price we paid, i guess we can't ask for too much. Overall a pleasant stay

it was ok to stay here... only thing that was not great was every time i wanted to have shower i have to wait 10min for hot water but everything was great... nice hostel

I stayed there with my family. My kids really loved this place especially the self service breakfast. Even though it was very simple but very yummy. The room and bathroom were very clean. The lady was very friendly and helpful, she speaks Indonesia as well. Definitely will recommend this place to other people who are going to stay overnight in Sokcho.
