Felt very safe in parking area. Nice public area with coffee.
It's an old motor. I can hear people walking upstairs.
Clean an d spacious room. Older building could use a refresh. Bed was very comfortable. It was a short 8 hour stay. My only concern was noise from overhead room
Clean and comfortable
The Uptowner was comfortable and clean. A good stopover hotel. Very happy they can accomodate pets.
Check in was super easy and fast. Very friendly staff. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but they keep it clean. The bathroom is fully remodeled and sparkling clean. The bed popped and squeaked with every move. Walls are very thin. But…this hotel is a great place to stay on a budget. We would stay here again because of the great price and the cleanliness.
Our late arrival check in was flawless. Thank you.
The room was in great condition for the age of the hotel.
This was the second time I stayed here with a team and it was great both times. The dinning atrium is great for eating together and seeing everyone in one spot. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Both times the staff were very helpful and accomadating.
The room was a bit warm but not enough to use air conditioning. The hot tub was very clean. A muffin with the coffee would have been nice.
Lovely atmosphere and the lovely surprise of the common area
Staff are great. Hotel is on a Main Street so it is a little noisy.
The front desk person / manager was fantastic, friendly and offered assistance as required. The gym was of a good size, much larger than most. Room contained all that was required
Kind and thoughtful staff; low-key and chill atmosphere was lovely.
Staff is helpful
It was a lovely room. Clean & a perfect size. Good location, love that it’s on the downtown area. The hot tub was a nice little treat as well
Very comfortable, great location.
Room was clean,
Great hotel and staff!!!
Was so surprised after staying two nights we were charged for a small spill of coffee on the sheets
T We just enjoy the location, the simplicity and comfort we feel when we go
It was a great place to go to visit with friends you were travelling with.
Nice friendly staff, loved the common area, free coffee, tea and ice.
The hotel was very tidy, rooms were newly updated, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a little outdated and dirty, sauna was great and the gym was superb! I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning if in Creston.
It was pleasant to stay in this hotel. We went for work for one night and we had a comfortable and clean room. We slept the whole night without any noice. The staff very friendly.
The people who run this hotel are absolutely lovely. They live in, are accessible, and are part of the hotel community. I couldn't have felt more like I was staying with family - safe, comfortable, welcomed.
close to all amenities
Fit and finish of room and facility is not great eg. stairs to upper floor are uneven, painting looks amateur, paint peeling off bedside tables, window finish around air conditioner is poor. Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly, and entire project is quaint. Coffee and fruit bowl was appreciated. Would stay again.
Excellent, clean. Missing Holy Bible in room.
comfortable beds. great towels and loved the rocky mountain products. I purchase them all the time and it was much better than cheap shampoo, etc.
Nice place, hot tub, sauna and gym. Older but well maintained. You draw back was that our room faced Main Street and it was a bit noisy in the evening. I would maybe request a room that didn’t face Main Street
Friendly staff. Clean room
Facility is old. Bed was old with a foam topper. Single pane windows and a very noisy air conditioner.
It is an older hotel however it is obvious the owners work hard and take pride in keeping it up nicely. Apartment size refrigerator was great to have. Hot tub was a nice perk after a long day in the car. Nice touch of games available on tables in the common area so you could play cribbage chess or checkers. The “house” cat is friendly when it visits with you. I would stay there again if I was back in Creston BC.
It is difficult to find a staff person without phoning the displayed number. The building is old and while the rooms were clean and beds decent, with a big TV, there's no coffee in the rooms (only in the common area so one must get dressed to get a coffee from a shared 12 cup drip pot) and the bathrooms quite tiny.
We arrived a couple of hours before check-in. The manager noted it, but still let us check in, which was very nice of him. When we got to our room we discovered that the air conditioner was quite noisy, so the staff changed our room to another one, which was very nice of them. I saw that the microwave, the fridge, the tv and a table lamp were all plugged into the same cheap power bar - totally unsafe. We won’t stay here again.
Just a great place to stay!
You can tell the property has been around for a while but there have been major upgrades. The rooms are clean and the staff so far have been friendly. I do think the door knobs for the room doors could use an upgrade since they are a bit out dated (I haven’t locked a door this way since 2005) I would feel a bit safer with updated locks.
It was just an overnight pit stop and was perfect for our needs.
It was clean and close to what we needed
The rooms were nice for the price, the rooms have wireless charging lamps which was a really nice touch along with a red lamp drying light in the bathroom. Lots of great food nearby a nice sauna good soap and shampoo and great staff 0 complaints
Loved the history in the pictures all over the hotel. Our room was very cozy.
Establishment has been recently renovated and everything is super nice and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to stay at.
Basic but met all needs. Its cute and was a decent price.
I didn't get to use any of the facilities they have, but it's surely a bonus and I'll come prepared if i stay here again. Really nice place. Clean with upgrades. Friendly staff. Will recommend.
Nice place
As soon as I walked in the entrance, I felt welcome. The rooms are basic but scrupulously clean. There is a very comfortable lounge in the middle of the building where coffee and tea are always available, as are various games and a library. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Even the motel cat is friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable motel. Its location right on the Main Street is also very convenient.
Rooms are great. They’ve been recently renovated. The main foyer area is a nice place to hangout as a family. You can’t hear anyone in the main foyer area despite your room connecting to it. The only thing you can hear is the ice machine, and we were right outside it (Room 132). Beds are super comfy and have a 3-4” memory foam topper on them.
The location was good, right downtown. Parking was tight. No elevator, for those who have issues with stairs. Older building with some decent renovations (soaking tub, newer toilet). However, the ceiling fan was falling out in bathroom (could see into rusty infrastructure), there were grout issues, and no real amenities (soap dispenser on wall like a gas station, huge bottles of shampoo and conditioner from costco). Cleanliness was okay; sheets and towels seemed fresh, but random trash under desk from previous occupants. Air conditioning was just okay; window unit that took about four hours to cool the room down. Once it did, it was pretty comfortable. Also, had some horrid scent plugin diffuser that we had to unplug but lingered forever. Also, need to find an electrical solution for plugging in the fridge, TV, and desk lamp: all cords were stretched tightly to get to an extension cord hanging in midair. Not exactly safe. However, we slept well once the air conditioning kicked in and despite the noise from outside (right on highway 3 in downtown strip).; the beds were surprisingly comfy (once we stripped off the down comforters and spreads). Would recommend if you are being budget friendly, but not for amenities. No hair dryer. They did have a nice lobby with board games and books, which was a nice touch, though no ice scoop for the ice). Staff was kind of hit or miss.
Was suitable for one night
The rooms have been freshened up. The one I was in was cute. Unfortunately, it may be a nonsmoking property now, but I would say that the carpet in all of the public areas is holding on to the aromatic history of the place. The freshening of the rooms did not include any sort of sound dampening. It’s probably not as bad if you’re on the second floor, but on the first, it felt like I was sleeping under the floorboards of an old farmhouse. I work up to the 5 o’clock alarm of the neighbour above me, but it took him a full 10 minutes. The price was cheap, so I wasn’t expecting much. If you bring earplugs, you’d probably be fine. The gentleman at the front desk was nice. The games available in the public area was a nice touch. Location was handy for passing through. Overall, okay for a cheap one night stop through. If I stay there again, I’ll ask for a second floor room and still bring ear plugs. I’ve stayed at worse and stayed at better. Wouldn’t say they are an ‘avoid me’ location, but even outfitting the rooms with more sturdy doors may go a long way. And get rid of the carpet.
It was surprisingly clean and the rooms and shared areas are well kept and charming. Would definitely stay again.
It was all good no issues would stay here again
We have stayed here twice, and had a great time both times!
Customer service was great as was location in centre of town, cleanliness and parking - however the one thing
We rode our motorcycles to this hotel and the owner moved his car to allow us to park under the roof. He was very considerate.
It was right downtown and a great place to stay
Super cute older building, clean, comfy beds and pillows. Coffee & tea was available in the open area. Board games, cards & books were available.
The check in was easy. Convenient.
Great little old hotel right downtown! Comfortable refit rooms. Good tv channel selection.Coffee and tea at the reception.
A nice place to spend the night.
the property is an older place but in good state. the rooms are small but good. big ROKU tv, microwave, fridge/freezer. AC is dated but works ok. bathroom was clean and had all the things needed. parking is free but can be a bit scarce.
Nice little place. Decent motel in good location. Definitely dated but that was part of the charm. Surprisingly huge fitness centre / gym.
Prompt service at the front desk. Nice amenities, clean rooms.
Clean room, pleasant staff, ample parking
Great little gym as a bonus
Really nice hotel right in the heart of downtown. Great service, bed, and room.
Very clean, the bed was great. It’s an updated old-timer in a great location. There was no blow dryer in the room, in the end I didn’t need one so I didn’t ask for one. Not a big deal but might help to have a t-towel and dish cloth in rooms with fridges and microwaves… will just help to keep bathroom towels nice. Or maybe just paper towels. :-) would stay again.
Little details that aren’t expected and make you smile, that’s what I found in this hotel.
The only place I stay when I visit Creston. They have upgraded the rooms and the beds are soooooo comfy.
Really appreciated all the effort made to make my stay enjoyable. Was a clean, well renovated hotel. The little extras went a long way to show the care and attention provided by the establishment and the staff.
Clean room, welcoming staff, activities games and books available in centre room.
Glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Creston. We will most certainly come again
Very comfortable room. Hot tub was what I needed after a 6 hour motorcycle ride.
Awesome staff, got help right away
This was an enjoyable night for us. The hotel is older and has lots of character. The service was exceptional as they accommodated after hours check ins beautifully. Our plans were changed and we arrived very late. The hide a bed was not working but we made it work. Great little value spot if you don’t mind an older location.
Clean rooms and great service .
When we first drove up and wondered about my decision on booking on line. Well! What a pleasant surprise. The owner was friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean. Of course it was a tad older but so clean! And the price was incredible. And then the location right on the cute quaint street of shops and eateries. I highly recommend this hotel especially for seniors like myself who needs a good price but often need to sacrifice to get that. My only suggestion would be a hair dryer in the rooms
Great stay in Creston. The building is older but had lots of character. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. There is also a sitting area near the rooms so if your family needs a bit more space for just relaxing then it's great. Would stay here again!
Building is old but room is very clean. Bed, carpet, bathroom are updated. Columbia Brewery and wineries are close from the hotel. (5-10min. driving) You can do cherry picking at farms in July.
Older property, but price was reasonable.
Stayed before and will stay again great price
Gym was great, room was quiet. Will stay again.
For the price, this is a great stay with very nice staff! Located near all the shops and dining!
Wonderful quiet place . Had a great feel and was clean and convenient. Would love to visit again
old windows, noisy area
Clean,comfortable, great staff
Well equipped gym for a hotel.
Room was small but with good access. It was very clean with reasonable comfort. It didn't have a hair dryer which most rentals provide. It was a bit noisy at times but we slept well in comfort.
This hotel is not a fancy hotel but the rooms were comfortable and very clean. The attendant on check in was great. Very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Excellent value. We will definitely stay here next time we are back to Creston.
Lots of eats walking distance from Hotel, even took in a movie in an old theatre Ainsworth Hot Springs nice place to visit,About an hour north of Creston
Comfortable
The beds were so comfortable. Easy and quick check in. Loved the location on the main strip
Hardly any parking a room was very small no breakfast but for the price we paid was probably OK
Good but old
Very friendly at check-in, Managers easy to talk with and made it fun. The gym on site is fantastic! Bed was soft, bathroom shower very nice. We will stay again next time we are in town!
Late check-in so they texted a combination to a lock box. Worked great. Window air conditioner a bit loud but worked great.
The property was so clean and welcoming. Thank you!
Exceptionally clean bathroom and wonderful staff
What a pleasant surprise! Altho’ on the small size, the room for this solo traveler was just right for a night’s stay. Management was friendly and accommodating. And there was a special parking spot for my motorcycle! Walk around town; very pleasant.
