I recently stayed at The Boston Guest House and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always willing to help. The peaceful atmosphere, attention to detail, and excellent hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend The Boston Guest House to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

**Unpleasant and Disappointing Two-Night Stay – 1 Star** Unfortunately, my two-night stay at Boston Guest House in Bellville was deeply disappointing. From arrival, I felt uncomfortable with the way I was received. I was welcomed at the doorway and given my initial orientation near the stairs rather than in the lobby because, I was told, other guests were eating there. I was then asked to move my requested 09:00 breakfast earlier because four other guests would supposedly be eating at that time and there was only one cook. As a paying guest myself, I found it strange that my preference had to be compromised for other guests. When I went for breakfast at 08:45 the following morning, only two guests arrived at 09:00. The room itself raised further concerns about cleanliness and basic guest amenities. There was no bottled drinking water in the room, no handwashing soap and no fresh milk at the coffee station. The kettle was dusty and contained water with a rusty colour. The powdered milk provided for coffee appeared to be spoiled and tasted so unpleasant that I could not drink it. I reported this to Simmy, who came to the room, saw the coffee and agreed that something appeared wrong with the powdered milk. She subsequently provided fresh milk. The tea presentation was equally questionable. Individual teabags of visibly different types were repackaged in transparent plastic and all labelled "Rooibos", which left me uncertain about what was actually being served.There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. When I asked whether it had simply been forgotten, I was told that the shower gel inside the shower was what was provided.

I loved the whole aesthetic of the place. It was very neat, clean, and also quiet. The staff is a huge asset to the accommodation and made us feel right at home.

The bathroom ceiling and walls could do with a decent paint. They can perhaps do some cable management for fridge and kettle. The front door is a bit worn down. Parking is also a bit dodgey with me driving a small car and the parking has uneven surface. Could use a smart tv or tv box

I won't comment about the breakfast because I did nt include it during our bookings. I kept on communicating with the lady who was in charge throughout our journey to Bellville. She welcomed us and showed us the place around and our rooms where to sleep. She made us feel at home away from our home. She even went an extra mile by allowing us to leave our luggage because we attending my son's graduation. She was so helpful and waited for us until we come back from graduation event.. Bravo to her and the Boston guest house family.

Please include more channels in your TV programmers, eg more sports and discovery channels.

The staff was great the service everything the people around were nice everything was fully functional the bed was clean we came to. Check in the room was clean and yeah 10/10 it's a great place to stay at.

The area is quite and we felt safe. Comfortable and good value for money.

I would like to have a flat sheet as well during summer and not only a duvet.

It was a secure guest house with a good remote controlled security gate. The toilet was clean. There were facilities to cook your own food and a fridge in the room if required.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the guest house because the room was crowded with furniture, not clean and the bedside lamp wiring was sparking/ not functional so I had to unplug it for safety. The shower had gunk in the bottom of it and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. It also smelt heavily of both cigarette smoke and food. I would not recommend it for a good night's sleep as the neighbourhood is very noisy with lots of alarms going off at all hours.

The location was nice and reasonably quiet.

We booked to arrive at two o clock. The room was 90% ready, although she kept contact with us the whole morning. We got an outside room with no ventilation in the bathroom, and it was awful to me. I did ask for airfreshner, but none was put in the room. So I had to endure it, and it was NOT a pleasant experience to me. My daughter got an i side room, and the place was beautiful and smelled much nicer than our room. It ìs good value for money, though.

The beds was uncomfortable and was 2 singles as to one double bed.

I needed to check out a day before, I did not want a refund i just suggested that if its possible can my son (14year old) have complementary breakfast seeing that we already paid for nights. The lady said she will find out. She called the owner and was advised no we we cannot if we want breakfast it costs R150. I was like but we paid for 2 nights, we only stayed 1 so the balance would be sufficient but we were denied access to have a small meal before leaving. Noting that there was not even other guests and the food was just laying there. I would definitely not recommend this place if an owner cannot show a kind gesture to a child. And then to add there was no water so we could not bath.

I did not had breakfast. The location according to my research was good and relatively close to the airport. The bed and room was very comfortable.

The terrible noise outside! Started at about 6pm on a Sunday evening that sounded like a car workshop, cars revving up and down the street. Then drunk people screaming and shouting which sounded like a massive fight. This continue till after 9pm. The "hot" water in the shower / bath was not more than luke warm.

In the summer I would prefer to have a flat sheet on the bed as well and not only a duvet.

Quirky, a bit colonial, a bit art deco, was probably amazing in it's hey day. Could do with a little TLC but perfectly adequate, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were welcoming and very helpful and polite. It's not a palace but for the 'money, excellent. 15 minutes easy drive to airport.

Nothing other than the TV was a mystery to me, but that's probably me..

It's a big house, but clearly needs renovation attention. My bathroom door, had a hole in it. The bathroom light switch was split in 2 parts. The rooms door lock was loose and the rubber seal between the door frame & door continuously came loose, preventing the door to close & lock and had to fix this myself. The safety door, towards the stoep didn't want to open, preventing me to relax on the stoep and the furniture on the stoep... was an ABSOLUTE NO NO! The small fridge didn't want to freeze ice (very old) and barely kept the food cold. 1 of 2 bed lamps didn't have a cover/shade. The bathroom & bedroom was devided with a dry wall - this needed attention and the bath was also closed up with panels - this looked horrible. The baths drain kept on blocking!

The closet's age and slight odor are noticeable, yet our stay satisfactory overall.

I loved the customer service. Sammy & Themmy were wonderful. They ensured I was comfortable during my stay and were always ready to help.

I'd recommend that you have flip flops for the bathroom.

Breakfast was not included in my stay.

It would have been nice if there was a desk and chair in my room so that I could work at night. But there was a general area to sit in.
