This ryokan was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip. The whole experience felt luxurious, relaxing, and very special. Both dinner and breakfast were incredible — huge, beautifully presented, and full of traditional dishes, with so much variety that everyone could find something they enjoyed. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and the futons were surprisingly cozy to sleep on. The onsen was also beautifully maintained, and we really appreciated that tattoos were not restricted, which made the experience much more convenient and welcoming. The outdoor onsen was absolutely unforgettable — relaxing in the hot water while looking out over the river and forest was one of our favorite moments of the trip. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We would happily stay here again.

Outdoor onsen is beside the river and very beautiful. There's a snack bar which is fantastic as well with many selections. Great view from the room. Friendly staff.

Actually went to the wrong place as they have a branch hotel down the street. Parking is not sheltered, which was a problem as it was raining heavily when I arrived. Room might be a bit squeezy.

My family stayed one night at Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya. By far the best and most memorable stay! The outdoor onsen is gender mixed and my family can finally bath together wearing the ryokan onsen yukata. The boys spent one hour playing at the river. Dinner half board and breakfast are buffet style. Nothing beat having a buffet style breakfast for my fussy kids. Too bad I don’t drink alcohol - too many to choose from. The lounge was perfect for me - complimentary cappuccino and snack. Love the vinegar cider. A great thank to the staff who keep the place clean and efficiently run.

Difficult to find in google map as the name of ryokan appeared only in Japanese.

Wir hatten keine großen Erwartungen da die Bilder nicht so Großartig waren und waren dann um so überraschter wie schön und sauber es am Ende war. Die Lage am Fluß war traumhaft. Die Onsen konnte man mit einer Art Kimono nutzen. Beim Frühstück war es etwas laut. Super freundliches Personal.

nous avons fait une portion du kumano kudo et avons écourté notre excursion pour cause de typhon, nous sommes donc arrivés à pied à l'hôtel et le staff a pu nous donner la chambre 1 à 2h en avance par rapport aux horaires indiqués. Le dîner était très bon. un peu moins de choix pour le peti-dej. onsen intérieur un peu vieux, mais j'ai bien aimé la déco un peu oldscool des pièces communes et de la chambre. nous n'avons pas pu tester le onsen extérieur, il n'était quasiment pas visible à cause du typhon et de l'eau accumulée par la rivière.

房價超值,請一定一定要來個基本一泊2食!!走完熊野古道來住一晚如高中大孩子形容的:簡直幸福的要死掉了!...建議在入住時間就抵達,先到戶外設施泡湯,躺在野溪裡仰望老鷹飛翔天空山林然後與溫泉交替浸泡,時間真不夠用啊.....晚上早點進餐廳享用高水準buffet一邊望著窗外老鷹喝水,蒼鷺捕魚的有趣畫面,酒足飯飽之後休息一下~到飯店大廳吧檯吃個巧克力喝個小酒~隔天早點起來再泡個湯然後享用一樣高水準早餐之後元氣滿滿再走上古道....絕對不虛此行!!!

目の前が浅い川で子供と遊べる。ホテルの入り口の近くに駐車場に繋がる裏口があり、そこから気軽に出入りできるのが良かった。ハーフバイキングがとても良かった

外国人のスタッフが多かったが、皆さん一生懸命働いていたのが好印象。

洗面所にコンセントがない、コンセントがある所に鏡がないのでヘアアイロンを使う場所がない。 空調が極端に冷えるので、夜寝る際の温度設定が難しく何度か夜間に起きてしまう。温度を上げると急に暑くなる。 景色が最悪、駐車場しか見えない。 バイキング形式の食事でしたが、指定された時間が遅かったからか、食べたいものが品切れであまり並んでいなかった。 部屋の換気扇の音が爆音。 旅館下に駐車場があり、離れた場所にも駐車場があるが、その振分が不明確。旅館下の近い駐車場がガラガラなのに離れた場所を案内された。部屋のランクにより区別があるなら明記して欲しい。

20年近く利用させてもらってます。一年ぶりの利用でロビーの様子がガラッと変わり、ノンビリとフリードリンクを楽しめることは嬉しかったですが、季節によっては椅子の数が足りないのでは？と思いました。お土産の売り場が狭くなり残念でした。

Wir waren schon mal in diesem Hotel und da die Lage uns gefallen hat , sind wir wieder gekommen. Wir waren überrascht das sich so viel verbessert hat . Vor allem die Küche ist richtig gut geworden. Ich würde deshalb , bei einem Aufenthalt empfehlen, Halbpension zu nehmen, da die Küche sehr gut und die Gegend etwas abgelegen ist und man nicht so schnell was findet. Man muss es unbedingt besucht haben, die Lage ist richtig schön, mitten in der Natur, mit Außen Onsen und Innen Onsen und einen schönen sauberen Fluss.

Every dinner was excellent, with a different menu each day. The buffet selection was also quite extensive, making it perfect for hikers who need to refuel after a long day on the trail.

The middle-aged man at the front desk was extremely rude and impolite. He was unprofessional and clearly not suited to working in the hospitality industry.

温泉のお湯が良かった。

お掃除が行き届いていなかった。 部屋のロケーションが良くなかった。まあ、それは予約の時期が遅かったためと思います。 あと、近くのお部屋の子供たちが廊下で騒いでいた。

La suite, bellissima!

L’onsen indoor (donne) è sporco. La muffa sulle travi sopra la piscina interna, assieme alla condensa, cadeva a gocce nell’acqua. Anche il pavimento del bagno che la precede è pieno di capelli a terra (e dovresti camminare senza ciabatte…).

The location of this hotel was outstanding. Having dinner and breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the river whilst watching wildlife pass by was a treat. Also being able to relax on the onsen then take a dip in the river was the highlight of the stay. I did this at night and the morning.

Honestly there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. If I had to be picky chocolate ice cream in the vending machine and and extra pillow would have been appreciated.

Unexpected luxury after a long day of hiking in a very remote area. The buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent selections of regional foods. Also, were stranded at Kumano Hongu Taisha waiting for the last bus, and the staff kindly picked us up, so that we would not miss dinner. Highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately did not get to use the outdoor onsen due to the previous day’s typhoon.

Les buffets dîner et petit déjeuner très variés et excellent mélange Japonais et Continental. Le bar avec du vin très sympa. La chambre très grande et enfin le Onsen super avec possibilité de se refroidir dans la rivière. Parking voiture très pratique.

Der Aufenthalt war absolut wundervoll. Von der ersten Minute an wurden wir willkommen geheißen, dass Personal ist absolut großartig. Das Zimmer war ebenfalss wunderschön, vor allem mit dem privatem Onsen Bad. Abendessen und Frühstück waren spezielle Kaiseki Dinner die speziell angerichtet wurden. Auch hier war die Qualität und Diversität der Speisen unglaublich. Für uns waren es drei Tage voller Erholung, inmitten der Berge des Kumano Kodo - echt toll.

The location was so idyllic, the staff were all so incredibly lovely, the onsens on the river were so peaceful, the buffet dinner and breakfasts were a wonderful mix of Japanese and western options. The interiors were all beautifully designed, quiet, clean. The room had views of the river and was just beautiful. It was all absolutely perfect.

Convenient to the Kumano Kodo and Hongu Shrine with a hotel shuttle. The outside Onsen on the river was great after a long day of hiking.

Het is prachtig gelegen aan de rivier. Je kunt zo van de warme onsen in de rivier hoppen. Faciliteiten waren erg goed en het buffet lekker.

De manager was niet heel vriendelijk. Beetje snauwend. We mochten doorgeven van een medewerkster of we nog wilde mee eten voor 17.00. Toen we dat ruim optijd bij deden bij hem was hij er niet heel aardig over en in eerste instantie kon dat ook echt niet. Maar dat wil niks zeggen over de rest van het personeel, die waren erg vriendelijk. De locatie niet heel toegankelijk per openbaar vervoer. De shuttle gaat maar een enkele keer. Je moet in ieder geval rekening houden met een stuk wandelen naar de bus. Interieur van de kamer is ook een beetje outdated maar de faciliteiten waren erg goed.

Gros hôtel avec onsen extérieur qui donne sur la rivière ! La vue des étages est magique! Malgré le fait que certains éléments de la chambre trahissent le fait que c'est hôtel existe depuis longtemps, la chambre est belle et agréable. Le personnel est très sympa malgré le fait que ça soit envahi de touristes comme nous! Nous n'avions pas compris que quelqu'un passerait installer nos futons pendant le repas...et nous avions laissé plein de bazar, toutes nos excuses !! Le buffet est ÉNORME aussi bien au dîner qu'au petit dej. Ça permet de goûter plein de choses différentes. Le choix d'alcools est également intéressant, surtout les vins de fruits. La rivière à côté permet aussi de se creuser son propre mini onsen dans les galets, c'est très sympa. Cette région est fabuleuse <3

Magnífico hotel e inmejorable opción para.pernotar en la zona de Kumano Kodo. La habitación elegida tenía unas magníficas vistas al río. El personal muy atento y servicial, da gusto tratar con ellos, y si no saben inglés, buscan a un compañero. Tanto en la cena como en el desayuno, puedes encontrar platos típicos japoneses (muy ricos), pero también opciones occidentales. En cuanto al onsen, sobre todo el exterior, que se encuentra junto al río, es una auténtica maravilla. Es una experiencia increíble.

Ojo a las personas altas con los marcos superiores de las puertas en las habitaciones tipo Ryokan. Si no eres cuidado, puedes darte algún golpe al pasar.

Well located for both the bus to Tanabe and also the local bus routes. The outdoor onsen was truly memorable. Our room was very roomy and comfortable. Free drinks and snacks were available each day for extended cocktail hours with elegant yakata supplied, so quite the experience. We stayed several days and chose to do day walks on the Kumono Kodo - and our stay was perfect for this.

The restaurant was booked out on our arrival and the 3 other local restaurants were a bit hit and miss when it came to open hours/days. Mind you, the small restaurant right next door was exquisite - and very affordable when it was open.

Amei passar dois dias nesse hotel maravilhoso, a comida é muito boa e toda a estrutura do hotel é incrível. O cenário é deslumbrante. Para chegar no hotel peguei um onibus do fim da trilha Yunomine.

住宿環境窗戶望出去就是野溪溫泉跟一片綠色森林，視野很舒服。女湯溫泉浴可以令熊野古道朝聖旅客消除疲勞。

如果是熊野古道朝聖旅客，行程安排隔天ㄧ早搭公車到發心門王子徒步到本宮大社，要注意班次很少。

玄関の上の部屋？ 大きな看板しか見えなかったので窓を開けなかった。 いきなり機械でのチェックインで、鍵の取り扱いなど、靴の履き替えなど説明がなかったです。 掲示してあるのでそれを読むしかないですね。 鍵は、紛失すると3300円だそうですね。

Stille og fredelig. Flott beliggenhet ved elva med varme kilder ute og inne, og avkjøling i elva. Svært god og rikholdig «vestlig» og japansk frokost. Fantastisk 12-14 retters japansk middag. Rikelig m all slags drikke og fri bar. Svært høflig og hjelpsom betjening. Vaskeri i kjelleren er topp for pilgrimsturister. Store japansk-stil rom m utsikt over elva. Rimelige rom, og svært «god valuta» for pengene.

スタッフによって接客の良し悪しがありましたが(特に日本人従業員の方々　とてもビジネスライク) チェックイン時に凄く丁寧に接客して頂いたアレックスさん には感動しました。日本人の従業員の方々は丁寧ですが何処か冷たさがあり。ですがアレックスさんは完璧な接客で終始笑顔も絶やさず、こちらが何が必要かも瞬時に判断してとても気持ちの良い接客でした。 そしてディナー時の外国人スタッフの方々の接客もパーフェクトでした。 ディナーはどれも美味しかったです！ 部屋は古さは感じるが綺麗に清掃されていました

フロントにいた外国人の女性とロッカーの鍵が開かなくなった時に来て頂いて鍵を開けて頂いた日本人従業員の接客態度。私達も日本人なのに何故かもう1人居たスタッフを通してこちらに指示をしていたのが謎でした(日本人が嫌なのか？) そして壁が薄いのか隣の部屋の方の話し声が聞こえる

We loved the place and it was the highlight of our two weeks trip in Japan! The room was comfortable with amazing river view and the offered dinner and breakfast was really good. We would love to come back.

Tolles Hotel, befindet sich direkt am Ufer des Flusses. Sieht ein bisschen heruntergekommen vom draußen, aber das Dekor drinnen in Hotel ist modern und sauber. Das Service war Toll: das Personal war hilfsbereit und konnte sehr gut Englisch (was nicht immer der Fall ist in Japan). Unser Zimmer war am 8. Stock mit einem schönen Blick auf den Fluss und den gegenüberliegenden Wald. Das Zimmer selbst war geräumig, minimalistisch gerichtet und sauber, und es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Das Essen war in Ordnung: wir hatten nur das Frühstück im Hotel, was sowohl japanisches als auch westliches Essen anbietet. Das Highlight für uns waren das Outdoor-Onsen, wo man sich entspannen kann und dabei sich den außerordentlichen Blick der Natur und des Sonnenuntergangs gönnen, und der Free-Flow Bar!

2 Sachen können noch verbessert werden: (1) das Indoor-Onsen sieht veraltet aus mit Schimmel überall und (2) das Hotel war ein bisschen zu Teuer, also das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat nicht ganz genau gestimmt.

Easy access to Hongu and Kii-Tanabe by direct bus. Wonderful buffet dinner and breakfast. Large room and bathroom with all toiletries and yukata provided. Access to Kawayu Onsen. Provided free shuttle to/from Kumano Hongu Taisha and to Hosshimon-Oji. Clean, secure and friendly staff.

We liked the hotel, and its outdoor onsen was beautiful.

I think the breakfast should have more options. The dinner was good, but considering the number of guests, the breakfast needs more variety.

可能因为靠近河岸，晚上躺下可以闻到有些潮味。晚餐自助的食物如果可以更丰富些就好了。
