Breakfast was amazing - did feel sorry for the guy at breakfast he was alone and had to do everything

The bed for me sadly was way too hard so I didn’t get much sleep. Trying to fill the kettle was a nightmare too big for the tiny little sink so I got soaked and so did the floor.. naturally I mopped it all up .. ended up having to use the shower to fill the kettle

Het ontbijt wat echt prima, volledig en keurig, duurde wel even voor het werd geserveerd. Het restaurant is van indiaanse aard, welke echt heerlijk is, wees wel allert op de groene paprika's achter het menu, dat geeft de scherpte aan.

De badkamer had weliswaar warm water, maar douchen gaat niet. geen water druk, bad is te klein om een goed bad te nemen, en overall kan het een prima hotel worden maar dan moet men wel even flink renoveren en zeker de schilder er goed door laten gaan. het ziet er wat smoezig en net niet schoon uit op de overloop en trap. ik ga er niet weer naar toe al kom ik met regelmaat in deze omgeving.

Clean room and comfy bed, with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bar had a good selection of drinks and the food was lovely in the restaurant

There was a strange noise every 30 mins in the room I stayed in, this happened all day and night and it woke me during the night multiple times. The TV standby light also randomly started flickering at 3am on both nights I stayed. There wats a fair few dodgy floorboards throughout the hotel, they felt broken so when you'd walk across them you'd stumble. The music in the bar was really loud and there weren't enough quieter areas where you could have a conversation. When having dinner in the restaurant our drinks order was taken but the drinks hadn't arrived by the time our food has got to us, this led to my partner going to the bar and getting a drink instead and the drinks we ordered never showed up but were added on to our bill (although did get deducted when we questioned it)

Very poor supply of hot water to room, I got half way through a shower and it went cold.

La struttura è piuttosto vecchia e l odore della cucina risale nelle scale

The room was clean and comfortable, the bar was good and there were shops and take-aways near by. The bar staff were excellent and the football was on the telly.

I could not get my shower to work, but I had a bath.

It was warm, friendly;had a busy atmosphere. The staff couldn’t do enough to help you. There were a variety of seating and eating places. The food, particularly the Indian cuisine was outstanding.

Only a slight criticism - the property is on a busy road and there was disturbance from early morning traffic - but that did spoil our stay.

The location was excellent. The bar area was buzzing, locals seem to love it. The staff were very friendly.

The room wasn’t made up in the morning. They changed the duvet cover because I spilt coffee on it and asked them to but that was it. The place is very tired looking. Needs new carpets and a coat of paint. It smells. Distinct smell of fags in one corridor and food smells in the other.

Not much, I stayed there before and it was much better… now it’s tired and not very clean… and expensive compared to the local premier inn

Great location, fair price. It was small but it was ok for what I needed.

There appeared to be hole in floor covered by carpet?

Close to town centre. Big bedrooms to fit family. Comfy beds and pillows. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Car park, although you have to get there early to get a space!

Decor feels a bit dated. No vent in bathroom

The manager of the hotel was so helpful ,and cheerful .Nothinhg was to much trouble . His son in morning cooked us all breakfast and like his dad he was an absolute pleasure to be around .

The room was lovely bed comfy and the carvery they do on a sunday was gorgeous definately worth having, parking was good also acess from carpark was easy to hotel, also i asked if could add someone to the room if need and what extra cost was and they said that ok no extra cost which really appreciated.

Only complaint no coat hook for my coat each time had to hang in wardrobe bit annoying but could be solved with a hook on wall, also as had front room traffic starts early maybe look into secondary glazing to cut traffic noise

Good central location. Friendly staff. Stayed in the deluxe quadruple room, there was so much space in the room. The beds are comfy and room was clean. I have stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.

There are no lifts, which is understandable as it is an old building. However stairs can be difficult if carrying heavy luggage.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. If you fancy a drink it has a lively bar area.

The hotel room was generally far too hot all of the time. A fairly hard bed. And to top it off I had to listen to intermittent extractor fans from the kitchen below. All night. For work, I don't think this is the best place to stay to be honest. If you want pub vibes and loud music it might be your cup of tea. But generally not great. Also checking in was slow and it felt as though I had to figure it out for myself. Where to go, get a member of staff etc.

Handy location for what I needed. Fairly reasonable price for the room, good food, fair price.

The room was a good size plenty of room for a family of 3. You could tell it had been/was in the process of being updated and the standard was really good/going to be really good. The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. The food was really nice and good size portions. The sliding window covering the sash windows kept the noise out. Someone was shouting just outside the hotel at about 1am.

The room was really hot due the radiators being on high (couldn't see a way to turn them down), but we copped. The windows felt old & frail when needing to open them. Please invest in some decent mattresses when updating the rooms. The sprung mattresses aren't the best, glad we only stayed one night.

Central location

Staff were friendly however the whole venue had an unclean feeling. Public realm areas were dated and carpets worn. Bathroom towels were frayed and old. Bedroom carpet in need of deep clean if not replacing.

Prime location not far from the station or town plenty of food choice,lovely friendly service from reception team to bar staff all very friendly & comfy beds !

Only 2 plug sockets in the whole room, would have been nice if the bar had stayed open past 11pm on a Saturday especially for residents no other faults overall very happy

Bar well stocked with excellent staff and a lovely atomsphere. Excellent location by station and able to easily get to my destination the next day. Beds and linen were all clean and there was plenty of room in the bedroom area.

Tv control worked but had seen better days. Old crisp under TV that had not been cleaned away. Window would not shut in bathroom and therefore it was very cold in morning washing. My mixed grill did not come out on a hot plate whereas those seated around did? Not quite sure what the sag aloo was.

Car parking facilities are excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable with all that is necessary for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is freshly cooked with first class ingredients.

I have no observations as everything was fine for me.

The breakfast was nice, Full English and beans on toast £25.90p but they appeared to charge me for 2 full English breakfasts.

The room was cosy at best, not very clean, The fan in the room had dust and cobwebs hadn't been cleaned in a while. The toilet seat was broken, visible signs of muck and bugs on the floor, bath needed a good descale. The noise from the Bar underneath was constant all day, the door that people came into the bar, slammed for most the night shaking the room (no exaggeration). The noise went on till 2am. Then Noise from the road outside was constant all night, which led to no sleep. The windows were drafty, cold and whistled in the wind.

Great location, food was excellent in the restaurant. The staff were friendly.

The beds were hard and the rooms a bit cramped. The water pressure was awful in the shower, it was barely a dribble.

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms was so clean and the bed was so comfortable. Lovely staff.

Some bits in the room were a little tired and I didn’t find the bed comfortable (my opinion). Bathroom extractor not working and dirty. No socket near mirror for wife’s hair dryer and tongs.

Room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed, parking is available onsite. Breakfast is a little slow but well worth the wait if your not in a rush.

Due to a loud private party in the hotels function room, it was impossible to get to sleep until after midnight.

No soundproofing, so you can hear people talking in other rooms (at 4am) and very creaky floorboards. Room didnt smell nice on entry. One small high-level frosted window had to be kept open at all times. Someone in an adjacent room had their tv on very loud all day and night. (Perm resident?) Worse than this, I believe they were also smoking in the room. Very strong stale cigarette smoke was getting into my bathroom and then into my room, even with the door shut and the window open. It was discusting. I was there for 2 nights and it was the same both nights. I can put up with most things in budget hotels, but having to breathe cigarette smoke whilst trying to sleep is beyond the pale. I would have left after the first night if I could have found somewhere. The corridors to the rooms always smell of cooking too. This hotel wasn't that cheap either, dont bother and find somewhere else.

Staff were very welcoming and the indian curry dinner was first class

I was a little confused as to where to park but found the hotel car park after a bit of driving around.

Location near railway station, restaurant, pubs. shops. Bar always open and attended. Car parking. Breakfast good.

Decoration unfinished. Untidy flat roof space visible from Room 117. Warning notice above a socket - socket should be replaced immediately if faulty.

Breakfast was amazing, staff attentive and very helpful, very clean. We had evening dinner aswell - incredible amount and taste - food wonderful. Wonderful room.

In tge restaurant at dinner i had to be asked if i could re-choose my dinner as they were out of my first 2 choices. Poor waitress had to go backwards and forwards 3 times before i could have something on the menu. We also felt portions were rather large but very good.

The friendliness of the staff, especially in the restaurant. Very helpful with menu choices for my sister, who is coeliac. Meals are all reasonably priced and a good choice of food and very tasty. 🙂 The hotel room was ideal for a sisters reunion of three. 😀 Rear private car park to the hotel although this is not very obvious on the website. The hotel was just a few minutes walk into the town centre. Also ideal location for a couple of walks we had planned by car.

Only downside was the shower which was over a bath. No problem with the bath, but shower power was very low. 😏

Location was great, lovely bar area inside and out, staff lovely and friendly, free car park at the back of the hotel, rooms were nice, not very big but it had everything you needed for a night away, lots of other pubs and eating places within easy reach.

There was only one person serving breakfast and it took about an hour before we got it and quite a lot of the food was very over cooked, we didn’t think that was value for money.

Beds not very comfortable, shower control poor, either too hot or freezing with a limited flow. Rooms seemed over warm but there was a fan.. Old fashioned windows and rooms overlooking the out door area of the bar not great due to noise, oddly not so bad at night, but early morning loud voices (landlord or staff) below, then local church bells every 15 minutes from 7am!

Room was very noisy due to an event outside We had checked in for breakfast on both mornings but this was recorded so no chef was on site. The night staff had to open the kitchen to cook breakfast for us and another couple on the Saturday morning Which was OK but not what you expect of a hotel We ate in the hotel both nights which again was Ok but not at the standard we have experienced in the past

The hotel is much shabbier on the exterior and communal areas. Room was above outside drinking area so noisy at night.

Accessibility poor , trying to get up 3 flights of stairs with knee problems. No lift . Room appeared clean but a foul smell coming from bathroom ( room 206 ) found some bleach from cleaner. Bed & pillows uncomfortable

We like the location and the room was a good size.

The A/C, which an upgrade, was a mobile unit with the pipe through the wall. Noisy and not affective (needs a service or re-gassing).

Came for Melton Ska Fest. Clean room, parking, good bar, nice staff, good breakfast. Location perfect for centre, park, train etc. Nice hotel. A bathtub was a bonus. So many places have only showers.

Comfortable room with everything necessary. Bed and bedding fine and pleasant bathroom.

The location meant really loud traffic noise which started early on Sunday morning. So not a decent rest. A little pricey - when it didn't include breakfast.

El personal es atento,

No limpiaban las habitaciones todos los días, estuve con la misma toalla de baño toda mi estancia. Hubo una fiesta(boda) no avisaron a los huéspedes y tuvimos mucho ruido hasta mas allá de media noche.

The hotel is located near the town centre. There is hotel parking to the rear of the hotel

The hotel is a bit tierd and needs a face lift. The floorboards are a hazard and the steps up to the first floor are steep.
