A great quiet and dark location ie no street lights which I loved. The room was clean and spacious. The food was sooo good and the staff were very friendly and helpful, a real credit to the place and the owners should be very proud of them. Thanks for making my stay
The soundproofing was not great I could hear the people next to me and I’m sure they could hear me as well, I could also hear the music from the bar but it wouldn’t put me off staying again at all only mentioning it in case others are aware
Staff amazing,beautiful rooms.lovely food

It was an extremely pleasant stay. We only wanted somewhere as a base as we were visiting family. There was a wedding on the Saturday evening, so we were prepared for a little noise, however, the insulation of the hotel was so good we didn't hear a thing. The bride asked the next day whether we were disturbed and we most certainly wasn't. A brilliant place to stay, all round. For me the bed and pillow are always important and I'm giving it 10/10 because there was a selection of pillows, which I've never experienced before.
We liked everything, no negatives, at all.
1) The hotel had been renovated to a reasonable, standard several years ago. 2) The bar staff managed to get our food order wrong but the chips were nice. I can't think of anything else!
The hotel has no ground floor rooms and no lift. Guests are also expected to walk outside to the bar, which is next door, for all meals. Inexperienced and poorly trained staff. Breakfast choice was very limited. We have stayed in dozens of hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation and this was easily the worst choice of any hotel we have stayed at. Everything was self-service apart from the cooked breakfast and no toast was offered (one piece of sourdough dough toast came with the Full English) The table was sticky, so were the tea spoons and the menu. Choice of breakfast cereals was very poor, Granola, Muesli and Coco-pops! Also, a very limited continental breakfast option. The service for both breakfast and evening meal was hopelessly slow and disorganised. When I came to use the wash basin in our room, the pop-up plug let the water flow down the drain as quickly as the tap delivered it, (missing washer). Later, I tried a shower and dozens of the jets in the rainfall showerhead were blocked. I spent 10 minutes clearing the blocked jets, then (now soaking wet) tried to close the shower door which promptly fell off because one of the door roller brackets was loose! I managed to catch the door, re-attached the faulty roller and retightened it as much as it would allow (it’s still faulty), I then reached for the body wash to find the bottle empty! I then had to get out of the shower soaking wet and look through my bags to see if I had bought anything with me that I could use instead. I would have complained to the receptionist when we were leaving but they only bother to man the reception between 10.00 and 22.00 and the sign said to hand in the key at the pub next door but at 9.30 am there was no-one there either and so I left the key with one of the cleaners! I tried to contact the Hotel when I got home but couldn't speak directly to the hotel. I left a voice message and an email both of which were ignored.
The food was good though expensive and the hotel is finished to a good standard.
The mattress was really hard, I like a firm mattress but it was more like sleeping on a board. The restaurant is massively under staffed. Friday night and one lad behind the bar and one serving food and taking orders. The service was slow, but you couldn't blame the lads as they had no hope of keeping up. Same again at breakfast, one girl taking orders and serving and trying to keep the tea, coffee and milk area topped up. There are thermos jugs for tea and coffee which are woefully inadequate serving 3 cups before running out. The coffee was also quite weak.
Location was good and rural and pleasant. I don't remember anything bad. Food was fine as was room and facilities. A good. Straightforward venue offering comfort, quiet and sleep. A good steady local trade in the bar and restaurant. To be applauded.
Nothing springs to mind
The location was perfect , the room was clean , air conditioned, bed was so comfy and clean , nice restaurant, friendly staff, plenty of parking .
Clean, modern, well kept property

Booked last minute - was perfect for what I needed. Lovely rooms and lovely food.

Beautiful property our room was stunning.
The pub/restaurant shut incredibly early and the property is quite isolated. You’re not allowed to roam the grounds.
Excellent place to stay.very clean and large room and shower. The food was very good and generous. Staff very pleasant.
Good facilities, great rural location. Would definitely stay again
Very attractive property giving excellent first impression on arrival. Reception excellent and rooms clean and well appoint.
The breakfast was good, although I just had a cold buffet & not the cooked breakfast. The evening meals were very good with home made pies & fresh vegetables, friendly staff a good pint.
Beautiful location and beautiful hotel

Location excelent
No gym. No bikes
We've stayed here a few times and it's in an area we really like. Everything is always excellent, the food, pleasant snd helpful staff.and rooms are always spotlessly clean

The beds were very comfortable. Lovely staff. The views were stunning. Food left a lot to be desired. Beef was thin and couldn’t cut with the knife provided. Would have been better to cut. Presentation of food very poor. Sweets were lovely 💜
Our room was over the main room for dancing and the DJ. There was a prom night event that went on until 12.30am. All we could hear was bump bump, bump and people cheering. DJ speaking to the audience
Staff food and room were excellent
a fridge or cooler in room would have been good
Beautiful and clean
There was nothing I didn’t like
The location was perfect and the food was amazing. The rooms were spacious and such a comfy bed. An absolutely lovely hotel.
I first thought the only negative on the hotel was the poor wifi which was frustrating but not a motor issue. However after having booked a non cancellable room, we received a message saying that as an event hotel, there could be some noise at night. This did not prepare us for our room “throbbing” until midnight. It got so bad we tried to leave, only stopped by a flat battery. So I sat and cried because it all got too much. I messaged the hotel to about this and to date have not received a reply.
The room was cosy and comfortable.
The hallway had an unpleasant odour. Breakfast wasn’t the best.
Food was excellent Nice shower
The bed far too high and very hard mattress and pillows
Everything, especially the lovely comfortable bed and the really kind, friendly and helpful staff. All of the staff are brilliant 👏
Nothing.
Location
Tea and coffee empty two mornings in a row
Very clean, quiet, friendly helpful staff. Easy check in. Food excellent quality. Highly recommend
Check out. Not easy to find a person to hand key card to. Had to leave on bar as left before reception opened at 10am. Would prefer to give i to a staff member
lovely surroundings peace and quiet hotel. and pub on site food lovely .
nothing all lovely.
Booked the venue the day before as a half way stop between southampton and newcastle after a cruise. Food.in the restaurant was very good, very clean and comfortable room with a lovely view.
Only a minor negative, but the venue had a wedding on that day which led to noise later on when the event finished for the night. Noise.was.expected and unavoidable, but if we knew the wedding was on we wouldnt have booked.
Great location, amazing food lovely staff
Everything was perfect and good air conditioning with 30 degree heat perfect lovely views and very peaceful. Great bathroom large and airy with bath and walk in shower.
Liked everything
Beautiful location and clean modern room
Food finished serving 5.30pm Sunday
Great location, good sized rooms. Breakfast was good quality Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had!!
Coffee and tea were in small containers and so would run out very quickly and then a long wait
Food in restaurant was excellent. Room was spacious with a great shower
However the wait for service was very very slow. You could see that the staff were run off their feet and they needed more staff on duty to cope with demand.
Looked amazing The room was really well put together The restaurant was really nice and the food was really good The staff were really friendly Amazing views Enough parking Not difficult to check in and check out The room was clean
There was not a shop in walking distance There were not enough staff on in the restaurant The to was not connected properly so we could not watch anything on the apps or tv channels
The staff were friendly The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was good.
There wasn’t any facilities to put your cases other than the floor and the television could’ve done with a bit bigger

It was clean and modern
I liked everything
10/10 really lovely.
There was nothing it was perfect
The room was modern, clean and comfortable. It was good size and well laid out. The breakfast was very nice and we had a lovely dinner one night as well.
Slighty off the beaten path, but that could also be a bonus for some!
Needed this at the last minute as I was let down elsewhere. It’s impeccably clean and in lovely countryside. The one staff member I met was extremely courteous and helpful.
Single beds were a bit small. I’d have licked blackout curtains.
This hotel is a hidden little gem. We were doing some things in the area so we booked this and it was wonderful. The room was lovely and a great size, the shower was great. It was extremely clean. The room had all you need for a stay here. It was also quiet ( we stayed on a Sunday evening ). The breakfast was made to order with a varied choice and was very tasty. Check in was closed at reception when we arrived at 4.45pm which was strange seeing you can only check in as of 4pm. We had dinner in their restaurant. The menu had a great varied choice and the beef right was so tasty. The atmosphere and ambience was nice as the choice of drinks. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. There was one lad who really was doing an exceptional job especially at breakfast. Overall we very much enjoyed our one night stay and will definitely return.
Check in only as of 4pm which is rather late compared to most hotels. Also it was strange as although it's from 4pm the actual reception was closed at 4.45pm so we were told to go over to the restaurant to check in then we had to bring the bags back again to the hotel. Maybe they were short staffed or trying to safe money on extra staff. This is my only criticism of the hotel. If like most your only there for a night maybe make check in from 3pm to be able to make more of the stay.
The Inn is in a very peaceful location, modern, clean and very comfortable.

A hidden gem, 2nd Visit, Excellent Thursday Deal, Inc Breakfast in Super Room / Quality Facilities Bar/Restaurant Pie Meal Deal with Drink great value for quality food. Friendly Staff
Only stayed 1 Night
Lovely room, comfortable bed, staff very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast which was included in the room price.
Found it a little difficult to locate. I wasn't allowed to bring my dog as there are no dog friendly rooms which caused a little stress, luckily I was able to make alternative arrangements. One minor thing, it would be nice to have bottled water in the room.
Great room. Lovely location. Good restaurant.
Great breakfast Peaceful location
Bed was a little firm
We were delighted to find air conditioning in the bedroom due to the current high temperatures. Good breakfast and enjoyed the food at the Fork and Farrow. Excellent value for money . Staff very friendly
Nothing really.

Beautiful property in a beautiful scenic area
Absolutely nothing I didn’t like.
Our room was lovely and comfortable bed. We had a meal in the bar which was excellent. Lovely breakfast too. It is our second visit and we will be back. Thank you 😊
Nothing. Everything was excellent.
Beds were hard and pillows very lumpy
Great pub and accomodation, good price
Nice spot. Great room. Evening meal in pub excellent - compliments to the chef.
Mixed bag with staff. Minor improvements on levels of attentiveness to client needs would have made a great stay exceptional,
Cleanliness, large rooms with king size beds, beautiful en-suite, breakfast beautiful and staff were particularly attentive, helpful and friendly. Lots of free parking set in an idyllic village. Good location for exploring surrounding towns and attractions.
Lots of rain!
Rural location and value of money
Bed a bit hard and pillows could have been better
Very comfortable room. Excellent bar and kichen. Well cooked breakast using local produce ! Very helpful staff, especially at breakfast time.
A small note about security. The reception was closed on arrival, so I booked in at the bar. This was not an issue, but it had not opened in the morning either. By the time I was ready to leave, the bar (where breakfast is served) was locked up, so I just left the key card at the shutterd reception.
The room (Hart Suite) was excellent, particularly the bathroom. Although I would describe it as a large en suite room rather than a suite which implies at least a sitting room and a bedroom. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The food was rather mixed with a limited choice on the dinner menu. The dinner helpings were large but sometimes rather over cooked. The breakfast was very much better but with a limited range of cereals. The fact that the route from the bedrooms to the dining room and bar was outside and therefore inconvenient in bad weather.
Great find will defo stay again /Food 10/10
The remoteness
Quiet location Very clean Comfy beds with lots of space
The breakfast is a limited continental and you need to pay £8-£12 for anything cooked
The room was clean. The view from the window was lovely.
There was a birthday party on the Friday evening. This played very loud music and kept us awake.
Room was lovely bed was so comfy
Bit of a wait for breakfast
Fab breakfast choice and quality. Great setting. Very nice rooms. Excellent value for money.

liked Everything beautiful place and very friendly staff breakfast was exceptional didn't want to leave will definitely be back recommended to family
We found the place in December and we absolutely loved it, the food, location and rooms are perfect. It’s are 3rd time visiting.
Room was a good size and lovely rustic furniture. Lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious. Good location for our needs.
Reception closed at 4. We couldn't find any staff around for top ups of milk and tea, as bar was locked too. Dispensers in shower were empty. But lovely hotel anyway.
