*Aegeon Beach Hotel - 5/5* Fantastic location. Roll out of bed, through the lobby and straight into the sea. Lovely, friendly and very professional staff. Peaceful and quiet - perfect to switch off. Great value for money for Sounio: private beach right under the Temple of Poseidon, free sunbeds + umbrella for guests, and all rooms with sea-view balcony. Highly recommended.

The property was clean

The property was not well maintained. We have been visiting this place for several years and we have spent there many days. Regrettably the equipment of the fitness Center is old, as well as the room furniture. Moreover some of the employees are not polite and professional towards the visitors. The quality of the breakfast as well as the dinner at the restaurant are below the expected level.

Furniture and bathrooms are in old condition and need refreshment.There are strange prices in restaurant like 7 eur for 0.7 bottle of sparkling water.

The property is located right below the Temple of Poseidon and even had a walking trail to go up. This was the main reason we decided to stay there

The bathroom could use updating. It only had a hand held shower handle. No overhead shower which made it difficult to shower

Εξαιρετικό ξενοδοχείο σε πολύ όμορφη τοποθεσία κοντά στην Αθήνα. Βρίσκεται κυριολεκτικά πάνω στο κύμα, μπροστά σε μια καθαρή και όμορφη αμμώδη παραλία με άνετες ξαπλώστρες. Το προσωπικό είναι ιδιαίτερα εξυπηρετικό και ευγενικό, ενώ τα δωμάτια είναι όμορφα και άνετα, με υπέροχη θέα στη θάλασσα και στον Ναό του Ποσειδώνα. Οι παροχές του ξενοδοχείου είναι πολύ καλές, με αρκετές προσεγμένες λεπτομέρειες, όπως η δυνατότητα να ζητήσεις να σου φέρνουν καθημερινά την εφημερίδα. Το πρωινό είναι πλούσιο και ποιοτικό, ενώ η θέα από το εστιατόριο «Βεράντα» είναι πραγματικά εξαιρετική. Ιδιαίτερα θετική εντύπωση μας έκανε και ο τρόπος με τον οποίο είναι σχεδιασμένο το ξενοδοχείο, καθώς σέβεται και εναρμονίζεται όμορφα με το φυσικό περιβάλλον. Συνολικά, είναι ένας εξαιρετικός προορισμός για ξεκούραση και χαλάρωση.

Οι τιμές στο εστιατόριο είναι σχετικά υψηλές, χωρίς η ποιότητα του φαγητού να είναι πάντοτε ανάλογη. Για παράδειγμα, το rib-eye που δοκιμάσαμε είχε αρκετό λίπος. Επίσης, θα ήταν θετικό η καφετέρια στην πλαζ να διέθετε μεγαλύτερη ποικιλία σε σνακ.

The restaurants

Very nice setting: a quiet lovely gulf and direct view to the Temple of Poseidon. Large room, large balcony, nice bathroom with all needed. Very good quality of al things provided (amenities, towels etc etc). Beautiful views from everywhere (inside and outside the room). Large spaces, shadow, nicely arranged beach (with enough space between sun beds) . Very good restaurant (Veranda) for dinner. Very good breakfast, with everything needed. Very lovely personnel. It's simpli a good place...

Might get a bit noisy if crowded (maybe high season?) (doors being slammed, kids childhooding etc). Not a problem generally but just a note.

το ξενοδοχειο ειναι παλιο αλλα προσεγμενο και η παραλια καταπλητικη με πολυ καθαρη θαλασσα .η περιοχη ειναι απιστευτη , κατω απο τον ναο και τοσο κοντα στην Αθηνα. Η τιμες ειναι λογικες αν σκεφτεις τι σου προσφερει. Το φαγητο στη ταβερνα της παραλιας δεν ειναι κατι ιδιαιτερο αλλα το προσωπικο ειναι πολυ ευχαριστο. Το εστιατοριο με θεα το ναο ειναι πολυ καλυτερο. Σιγουρα θα ξαναπαω!

The location is outstanding. The views are amazing. Your breakfasts and dinners were superb. Everyone was going their best to assure we had a great time!

I can’t think of anything. And coming from a particularly picky guy, that’s saying a lot. (;-) We stayed at Aegeon, last summer, and had a similar stay. We will be returning, for a third time, in the future. (;-)

Poseidon 'a ulaşım çok kolaydı. Veranda restoran çok iyiydi . Bahçe odada konakladığımız için denize ulaşım çok rahattı. Deniz güzeldi.

La ubicación del establecimiento es idílica. Playa increíble con unas vistas al Templo de Poseidón. El personal amabilísimo, y los servicios de diez. Para repetir sin dudarlo cada vez que visite Grecia.

Hotel in posizione strepitosa direttamente sul mare in una bellissima baia, con spiaggia di sabbia, dotata di ombrelloni e lettini per i clienti, cui vengono offerti giornalmente i teli da mare. Colazione ricca sia per la parte dolce che salata, servita su una bellissima terrazza con vista sul tempo di Sounio. C'è un ristorante e un bar a disposizione. La struttura è estremamente pulita e dotata di vari servizi, tra cui palestra e area bimbi. Ampio parcheggio. Il personale è gentilissimo. Un ringraziamento alle ragazze della reception.

Il bagno potrebbe avere qualche dotazione in più... Doccia con soffione alto per esempio... Ma niente di davvero rilevante.

Emplacement exceptionnel, très belle vue , jolie plage de sable fin , matelas et parasols , très bon restaurant . Les personnes à l’accueil sont très chouettes et nous ont bien aidés lorsque nous avons eu des bateaux annulés à cause du vent pour Kea .

L’aspect extérieur de l’hôtel n’est pas très joli mais on l’oublie tout de suite

Nothing really. I think you should change the door of the elevator to an automatic one. It is easier for the guests carrying luggage but most important for the people with disabilities.

Superbe hôtel avec vue exceptionnelle le temple de Sounion. Tout etait parfait : grande chambre confortable et très bien équipé, petit déjeuner excellent, personnel adorable, belle plage privée, très bons restaurants... un petit havre de paix formidable pour se ressourcer quelques jours.

La localisation est très belle, juste à côté du temple de Poseidon. La plage de l’hôtel est très belle aussi! Belle vue depuis les terrasses des chambres.

Les chambres et leur décoration devraient faire l’objet d’un sérieux rafraîchissement. La déco et les meubles des chambres sont vraiment vieillots au vu du prix qui est demandé. Les douches sont également très étroites, en tout cas dans la chambre que j’occupais.

Le restaurant de l’hôtel est très très bon. Hôtels bord de plage avec transat Vu et coucher de soleil splendide

Es war einfach phantastisch - Lage, Ausblick, Gastlichkeit - alle waren sehr freundlich, das Essen im Restaurant ausgesucht lecker, das Frühstück toll, der Strand sauber und mit hinreichend Sonnenliegen. An der Rezeption war das Team unglaublich hilfsbereit, als wir uns für die antiken Silberminen und das antike Theater von Thorikos bei Lavrio interessierten. Das Beste jedoch war der Traum von einen Ausblick auf Apollon-Tempel und Meer. Und dabei Athen ganz nah. Wir kommen wieder!

Our room was a “triple” but the extra bed was a sofa bed. A true triple would have 3 singles or a queen plus a single.

Excellent location, amenities and services. Beach access is an exceptional. Call system for beach service was a pleasant surprise and very convenient. Restaurants are great, we liked both the one serving the beach and the veranda one. Breakfast was also nice. Hote provides you with beach towels everyday and there are showers and changing rooms at the beach.

Room air conditioning was a bit odd but we didn’t bother since it was working. Also most of the common areas of the hotel aren’t air conditioned. We didn’t have a problem with it but it could become a problem. Maybe they should consider ac for the lobby or the breakfast area, or run fans for air circulation should work. Mattresses could also use an upgrade. At the beach the front row chairs were most of them reserved. We didn’t mind for the time we stayed but I can see that being an issue for visitors staying longer. Definitely there is room for improvement managing the beach in a way to accommodate everyone. Maybe sectioning a part for non residents and families with small kids would work better for everyone.

Hotel is in an Amazing Location and a great value compared to its competitors (GrecoHotel) Waterfront is wonderful, but sometimes to crowded….Greece has to allow their entire waterfront accessible to all. First day there was filled with very noisy families, second day was paradise It’s one thing to abide by the laws, but it’s another to invite the public in and promote rent Sun beds and beach lounges…..the exclusivity of resort gets lost. Food is beyond excellent and a great breakfast buffet, also two waterfront Tavernas within very short walking distance The guest rooms, bathrooms, lack of a real entrance lobby and surrounding landscape could use some real updating. Depending on the day this is either a 4.5 Star Hotel or a 3 Star…..They need to realize that there location is exceptional and reinvest in themselves and their facilities

I loved the location on the sea. It was so peaceful. I loved seeing the Temple of Poseidon from our table at dinner every night. The food at the restaurant was delicious! We really enjoyed our stay!!

The shower was difficult to get in and operate. I needed instructions on how to work it! USB ports would have been really helpful as we only had one converter for our devices.

Staff were absolutely lovely. The food was amazing. The room was lovely and of course the beach was delightful. Great to be so close to the temple. Would return....if I had private transportation.

The only way I found to get here from Athens was the KTEL bus, but we had no idea--until the bus driver dropped us off literally at the top of a steep, narrow, dirt-and-rock path fringed with spikey plants--that there was no transportation or easy walking path from the KTEL bus stop to the hotel! It's a perfectly fine path to climb from the hotel to the temple on foot if one is so inclined, but when attempting to reach the hotel in the hot afternoon and with luggage, it's beyond unacceptable. The website should explain this and hotel should perhaps offer cars to come and get guests. I have to guess that most guests arrive some other way -- personal vehicle perhaps -- but for tourists without private cars, this is a horrid way to welcome guests.

All of it! Staff, Room, Beach, Location! The hotel was nicer than the photos, we had picked the spot for a chilled short stay on our travels, next to Poisiden Temple (amazing!) - it was bright, modern, lovely room, balcony, fab beach, staff were really friendly and looked after us well, room was ready on early arrival...

The only small comment is that the bar/lunch service in the downstairs resurant and Noas (next to Poisiden Temple) could have been a little better, for example in the hotel the food was great, but we were told by the waiter to walk and get our own drinks from the other bar (while sat eating in resturant) even though they were doing waiter service to the sunbeds further away!

Beach was very clean, the restaurant’s food was exceptionally good, and the staff were all attentive to our needs.

Not a big deal but there was no iron or ironing board in the room.

The position under the watch of the temple - exceptional! AND I am sure this will go down as the best breakfast ever - and generally our breakfasts have been good.. but this one is off the charts good!

Excellent location right on the beach under Poseidon's Temple. This hotel offers a wide variety of sun chairs and cabanas to guests. It was a great place to relax on the last few days of a trip. The staff were friendly and the room was perfect!

Lokasyonu, plajı, denizi, güleryüzlü ve yardımsever personeli (front deskten temizlik personeline kadar herkes çok yardımcı idi), güzel kahvaltısı ve restaurantlardaki yemekleri bu oteli beğenmemize sebep oldu.

Hiç bir şey, sadece pazar günü plaj biraz kalabalıktı ama biz rahatça yer bulduk.

The property has a very nice beach area with plenty of chairs and umbrellas as well as very good bar/restaurant/room service. We had a temple view room with a terrace and it was very nice to sit and look towards the temple and sunset! Transportation arranged by the hotel was also great. Everyone was very helpful during our stay. Location is great and great views. A nice detour from Athens!

I reached out for many months directly before booking the reservation on Booking.com finally as they are not good about responding to email and only had a phone message going. They did respond after making the booking.com reservation. I needed some questions answered as my husband has mobility issues. They do have an elevator but it is very small. Really nothing to not like though! We made it all work and they couldn’t have been more helpful once we arrived.

Great location. Very close to the stunning Temple of Poseidon and right on a wonderful swimming beach. The room was comfy with a large bed and balcony. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff were very helpful on the front desk and in the restaurant in particular.

Very minor but the shower tended to spray water onto the bathroom floor.

La vue sur le temple...de jour comme de nuit. La plage, la décoration. Magnifique. Pratique car tout près de l'aéroport. Excellent déjeuner sur la terrasse le matin.

Le service au restaurant le soir. Tout était parfait jusqu'à ce que notre serveur disparaisse sans rien dire.
