Very convenient to metro and food and shopping plus walking to major and minor attractions. This area is a nice mix of Parisians and tourists. The staff was amazing and the room was quiet and clean. The street is a quiet one for this area. There is an elevator and the room has a/c. Highly recommend.
The location was perfect! We stayed for 4 nights . Staff was amazing and the guy at breakfast was very attentive. The bathroom was very nice. The rooms are small but perfectly designed to maximum the space so it doesn’t feel cramped. The only downside was we at room 11 on first floor and it was on the street side where all the restaurants are. So it was extremely noisy in that you can even hear conversations. Some nights it went on until 1am. Also there was no perks for VIP hotel. I mentioned to the reception when checking no but he didn’t understand what that was. Overall, it was a great and central hotel. Would stay again but a room not on street side!
In a great area with lots of shopping and dining options. Close to all the important must sees of Paris. Metro will take you to other major sites such as Montmatre.
Super great spot in the middle of it all. We had the ground floor room with a little courtyard, which was convenient but felt a little bit closed in — would rec a higher floor for more light but was very clean, accessible and the room was surprisingly soundproof.
For a property that states it was made noise proof, I don’t understand why the TV volume cannot be raised over 30. Oh. Maybe that’s why it’s noise proof! We could BARELY hear it and this was very annoying for us. When we asked, we were basically given a shrug of the shoulders and said there was nothing that could be done. Also, the A/C was apparently operated by the front desk. NOT GOOD and NOT COMFORTABLE for people who need it cool at night to sleep. I understand the desire to be eco-friendly, but holding back a needed amenity is a bit overly controlling. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable (thank God) but supplies like tissues were not replenished. We ran out and they were not refilled (but we didn’t ask, either). All sorts of modern inconveniences add up to a BIG inconvenience for the price we paid.
First the good-The staff is helpful and friendly. It is very convenient to lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars. The neighborhood is busy and fun Now the bad- Everything about the hotel is bare-bones, from the coffee machine in the lobby, to the entrance, the furniture ect. Our room was extremely small, which we expected, but the lack of shelving and night stand space made it feel even smaller.
A great location in a beautiful part of the city. The area is crowded but this hotel is off a fairly quiet street. The rooms were a nice size and the beds comfortable. Nice shower. I would go back.
Great location! nice clean rooms and coffee/beverages in the lobby helped.
This property was so clean and comfortable. The shower and bed were amazing. I didn’t want to leave.
Amazing hotel, nice spacious, clean rooms , good air conditioning, the staff were excellent and the area around the hotel was very lively for restaurants and shops, yet still quiet at night to sleep
Extremely small room — the only place I could open the suitcase and lay flat was under the bed. Also, the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Friendly service. Good location.
Location was perfect. Surrounded by numerous cafes. Room was comfortable and quiet. Very pleasant stay!
The hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great - within walking distance of everything. I would highly recommending there.
Had a good time. Was safe and staff were always there to help. Comfortable beds! Clean bathrooms!
Old world, but modern Friendly staff, excellent location. Close to Notre Dame. Small rooms, but it’s Paris.
Very helpful and friendly staff
Location, staff, amenities all top notch.
Probably one of the smallest rooms I’ve been in but clean. Bed was comfortable and bathroom and towels were excellent. Just hard on room with 2 large suitcases.
Perfect location, helpful service, and very comfortable rooms and beds. I highly recommend.
The hotel is in a great location near all the major attractions. There is a lot of dining just around the corner.
Fantastic location, warm welcome, very comfortable.
Great location, great team working there, really clean, ideal location
Great location, convenient to all the perks of Saint Germain area. Very comfortable and more quiet than we expected.
Everything in the bathroom and room worked perfectly well. The bed was super comfortable. Nice window looking to the street. Super clean. The area has day and night lifestyle and is very fun but the room not noisy. Love it
Very quiet in a very touristy area. Location was fantastic and you could walk to all major tourist attractions. Bed was firm and very comfortable. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Perfect location
Great location. Updated
Staff was friendly, great location.
Lovely stay at Hotel V&G. The location is the very best. The friendliness of the wonderful staff made our stay so special.
It’s was such a nice place far exceeded our expectations, the crew were really nice and helpful. Great restaurants just around the corner, would definitely be my pick next time
One the staff member name Marie(Short name) was very helpful with everything
Love love love this hotel. It is in the perfect spot to stay, tons of restaurants, cafes, etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely return the next time we're in Paris! The room and bathroom were spacious (for Paris) and very clean. The bed was super comfortable and we both slept well each night we were there. There was some construction noise during the day from work being done on the roof, but we didn't find it bothersome on the second floor. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. At one point we needed to borrow an iron, so they delivered an iron and ironing board to our room. Another night we asked to borrow a corkscrew to open some wine we had purchased, and the staff member on duty opened it for us and delivered it to our room with wine glasses. These extra touches were unexpected and made us feel very welcome. Finally, the location is excellent! It's a short walk to the metro station and many sites such as the Louvre and Notre Dame, and the neighborhood is full of cafes and restaurants. There's even a Carrefour grocery store just around the block. Considering the quality, service, and convenience, we thought the price was a great value for Paris.
Nice little hotel, very small rooms. But staff were nice. Didn’t know the property was undergoing renovations/repairs outside, until we arrived and saw the scaffolding in front. Every morning around 8am the banging started, so not able to sleep after 8am.
Staff was extremely courteous and polite, very comfortable stay.
Great location. Friendly staff
Great location, nice room. Friendly staff. Shower was good, but it leaked all over the small bathroom. Otherwise, great stay.
The hotel was in an amazing location. It was very clean and the entire staff were wonderful. We will definitely stay there if we return to Paris.
Several things of note: Location- This hotel is in an extraordinarily good location. It is right of St Germain de Pres and close to some great dining and accessible Metro. It is walking distance to Fontaine St Michel, Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame. However, if you like to walk, it is really walking distance from the principal areas and sites...except for Montemartre and Sacre Couer, which are quite a distance away. Room size: As room size go, this room wasn't bad. It was ample enough for our luggage and movement without issue. Amenities: Not much in the way of amenities really. Room had a small concession style fridge with items to purchase. There was a free bottle of wine and some water bottles that good be filled up near the reception area. No rioning board or iron. Cleanliness: The hotel is in need of upgrading for sure. They were performing some level of construction while we were there so ground to roof scaffolding. Rooms were dated. The room cleaning, however, was more than I could expect from a small hotel. The cleaning took place EVERY day with new towels and bed made. That was appreciated. Great cleaning team! Staff: All were amiable. All spoke workable english.
Lovely staff and wonderful stay. The room was a good size (deluxe room) and the king bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. We walked easily to Notre Dame (10–5 mins) and Musee d’Orsay (20 mins). Perfect location in the 6th. Little Breizh next door is a fantastic creperie, priced very reasonably and friendly staff. Lots of restaurants easily walkable from the hotel, as well as shops of all kinds.
All the staff were very friendly and quite helpful in finding directions and finding restaurants.
We stayed here for 7 nights. Nice hotel in the heart of Paris, near the Metro and RER train, Notre Dame, Louvre and many other attractions. Great shopping along Blvd. Saint-Germaine and smaller local shops, great restaurants and cafes on the same street and nearby. The hotel was clean, the entire staff we interacted with were professional and very helpful and knowledgeable. The buffet breakfast had typical Parisian fare for petit-déjeuner, plus items like eggs made to order, bacon, crepes, and freshly squeezed orange juice (which was literally the best we’ve ever had). Particularly helpful were Alexandra (the manager), Marie the breakfast attendant during the week, and Mari Louise, one of the weekend clerks.
The room we had was quite small, even by European standards. It was however, clean, quiet, convenient and the staff were all so friendly. We would stay there again.
Wonderful staff, great location for everything you want to do in Paris.
Wonderful property, in the heart of the city… easy access to many attractions and fine dining
The room was near the security door in the elevator hall. Every time the security door opened and closed, the room door vibrated loudly and was very noisy. The service of the staff was nothing special. The most friendly and hard working people were the cleaning staff. Thank you very much.
Small hotel yet rooms were a nice size for European standards. There was an elevator in the building which was great. The hotel was located on a little street right next to some very good restaurant options and in a great safe little neighborhood that was quiet at night. Public transportation really close by, taxi, metro, bus! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Totally recommend this hotel!
Location. Location location
This property met all of our needs, amazing staff, great location, close to transportation, quiet street, great restaurants nearby. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
Location Comfortable beds Good shower Quiet
Great location, friendly informative staff. Walkable to most tourists sites
Fabulous little hotel in a great area. Clean, friendly. Can not recommend highly enough.
I chose this hotel because of review that said "it was a gem" And it is. Close to the Metro, tons of cafes and restaurants everywhere. The hotel is located on acute small street just off the main boulevard but very quiet. Several excellent restaurants on the street. The staff is amazing and very friendly felt like we were staying with friends. We were there the week leading up to the Olympic games. Everything went smooth. St Germain is such a special wonderful area. Would definitely book this hotel again
We loved staying here!! The staff are super kind and helpful. Alexandra and Marie were especially kind. The breakfast that is included is wonderful too. The nearby area has many dining options, and it's centrally located with easy nearby transportation options. Highly recommended.
Very friendly and helpful.
Loved the location and size of room was great for the city of Paris.
It was in the best location. Walkable to many places. Great shopping and eateries close by. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful especially Alexandra.
Great property. Walking distance to more cafes then you can choose. Would stay again.
Very nice and very comfortable. Great central location.
Friendly staff and great location.
Hôtel is located in an ideal area for restaurants and cafes. It’s also walkable to many popular attractions.
A lovely boutique hotel on a quaint street. Many restaurants & bistros within walking distance.
Room was old , outdated.
Modern room. Large shower. Well stocked room. Lovely staff. 24hr manned desk. Filtered water available 24/7 from reception
Great lovation with outstanding staff! Highly recommend!!
Wonderful!!! ❤️
Very clean and cozy hotel
Everything works well; there is even air conditioning in the room, which is rare in Paris—situated on a small, quiet street and many restaurants and shopping in the area.
The location was close to many of the places we wanted to visit. There were wonderful restaurants nearby. All in all, we loved the location. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was small but the bathroom was quite roomy. We would absolutely stay there again.
I love the hotel, love the location, love how nice the people were there. But I am giving them a few stars because they cancelled my first reservation I made through hotels.com and they canceled it and rebooked it without my permission. Please don’t ask them questions I was asking about getting twin beds instead of a full bed. So they cancel it. I was upset and they booked it at a higher price and did not even offer me any discount or better room. Very disappointed with the person who cancel my booking with out my permission
This is my fifth? time staying here and like usual, the staff is great: Jordi is adorable. The night guy was helpful in getting a taxi to show up early for our early morning flight to CDG ($75). However, like my previous review, (I made two concurrent reservations in March 2024): time to update the place, please! There’s a lot of newer, nicer places to stay, and things here don’t seem to have been updated since 2016? We stayed in the bottom floor room next to the elevator, which wasn’t a huge nuisance. Easy in and out. But the room—like others in this hotel—are pretty tiny (usual for Paris). So, both of those factors make it seem a little less private (even with the “small” courtyard terrace). Maybe opt for a higher floor for more privacy. I would love to come back, Victoire et Germain. Please consider a few updates, merci beaucoup
My usual hotel in the 6th arrondissement, Saint Germain des Pres. Pros: Really great staff especially Jordi, and excellent location, especially near eateries, bars, and within walking distance to the Seine. But quiet/good soundproofing. The Deluxe room is huge compared to most Paris rooms. However, after coming from a newer place, my usual place seemed a little lackluster: showing a bunch of wear and tear on the wooden floors; minor, yet unsightly mildew on shower tiles; no USB ports; humidity in the inner hallways; kinda disappointed by the individual shampoo/conditioners (instead of the more sustainable full-sizes other places have, and the full-size shower gel I did have was mostly empty). Also, it feels a bit cheap to try to entice people with a full mini-bar. Maybe waiting to redo after this summer’s Olympics? Might be nice to at least make some of the smaller changes? Repeat customers would appreciate it
Convenience of property location.
Great location right in the middle of a fun street. The staff was all very welcoming and helpful.
We loved our time at this hotel. It’s on the perfect little street with everything at your fingertips. Less than a block from great restaurants, public transport, gelato, and crepes. The room is small, but perfectly clean and updated. The beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be back again
the friendly staff, the convenient location, the cute cozy waiting area in lobby with good tea (Kusmi), the good food choices nearby.
I've stayed in this little gem of a hotel many times and continue to love it more after each stay! Even though it's in the center of the Saint Germain des Près/Odéon neighborhood of Paris, it's a comfy little oasis of calm. The staff are so nice and the location is ideal!
Clean and nicely decorated on a quiet street in the heart of st germain. Highly recommend
Hôtel Victoire & Germain surpassed my expectations in every way. It effortlessly combines the allure of Parisian romance with the comforts of a world-class hotel. Whether you're a first-time visitor to Paris or a seasoned traveler, this boutique gem offers an enchanting retreat that captures the essence of the City of Light. Without a doubt, I look forward to returning to Hôtel Victoire & Germain for my future visits to Paris.
Great hotel, in a bustling area of the city. We were on the griund floor which was a little noisy at night.
Great location. Clean and comfortable. The staff was also extremely helpful and nice.
Highly recommend! Fantastic location in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The room is small, but normal for Europe. The staff were kind and helpful always. We also appreciated the small perks like 24/7 free filtered still/sparking water and coffee. We would absolutely rebook on our next trip to Paris. Merci!
Pleasantly located- bakeries and coffee places all around (and bars!). Walking distance to so many sites. Clean, neat, and well managed. The front desk attendance were very friendly and helpful. Tres Bien!
Great place
Quirky and stylish little hotel steps away from St. Germain Bd. Close to more than a few metro stations (Odeon and Mabilion) and an easy walking distance away from RER train stations (Luxemburg and St. Michel) and to Notre Dame, Louvre, Pompidou and the Marais area. The place seems to be recently renovated and is clean, quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were all kind and helpful. Room was quite compact but in line with Paris standards. Easily recommended.
My friend and I stayed for two nights to celebrate her birthday in Paris-the hotel was absolutely perfect! It is in an amazing location in St Germain and walkable to many attractions. It is a boutique hotel with personalized service, everyone was so helpful & friendly. The room was ready early & was the perfect size for two people. Bed & pillows were comfy & the bathroom quite large. I would highly recommend staying here!
A small, well outfitted and maintained hotel with a great staff. Alexandra was especially friendly and helpful. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
Nice boutique hotel in the heart of the 6th Arrondissement. Really close to several restaurants and cafes and to metro station and off the Main Street. Wonderful staff and comfortable beds and great shower.
This is a small boutique hotel, in a great location, the rooms are small, but the bathrooms have a great shower, and are spacious. The breakfast is perfect, to start your day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have personnel the 24 hours, so you are never alone. We appreciate Marie, who helped us in the mornings with our breakfast. Great fresh juice and crepes.
Great location and great staff Rooms are small but typical for Paris Shower pressure very low
Thank you to the staff of Hotel Victoire & Germain! Each one we interacted with were great and helpful! We were also very happy with the location which was close to everything. What an amazing first visit we had in Paris and would definitely come back here! Great district/arrondissement to be in!
Nice place. The staff was very nice and helpful.
A lovely boutique hotel in the best part of Paris. The rooms were small, but efficient, clean and comfortable. So quiet! We’ll come back again.
No wash rags
Great location. Lovely room with AC and a large bath in just the classic room style. I loved the free chocolate croissants they left out and as much water as we desired. Great touch. Will recommend. Thank you for starting out Europe trip on such a great foot!
Super comfortable room. Very spacious for Paris. Close to the metro and walkable to many restaurants and cafes. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location. Friendly staff
I didn't realize how small the hotel was from the description. Nice boutique hotel. Good location to restaurants and shopping . Area is good for walking. 15 to 20 minute walk to Louvre and Museum D'Orsay. Doesn't have a restaurant. Only has small breakfast option available.
Fantastic location, cute hotel, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Quiet room for such a busy spot. Loved it!
We stay 5 night. We live the location and how friendly the staff is. We will stay here again
