Die Zimmer dann sehr dunkel und wir hatten keinen wirklichen Blick. Das Essen im Restaurant abends hab ich leider nicht geschmeckt.

Une très belle expérience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nous tenions à féliciter le gérant ainsi que toute son équipe pour leur professionnalisme, leur réactivité et leur disponibilité. Le service est véritablement haut de gamme, avec une équipe très serviable et attentive aux besoins de ses clients. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine, mais nous avons particulièrement apprécié le déjeuner, qui était à la fois très copieux et savoureux. Mention spéciale également pour la literie, particulièrement confortable, qui nous a permis de passer une excellente nuit. La chambre offre par ailleurs une très jolie vue sur la végétation environnante, dans un cadre vraiment paisible. L’établissement est également très calme, ce qui était parfait pour nous après plusieurs journées de voyage. Une excellente adresse, avec un service irréprochable. Nous recommandons sans hésiter ! 🇱🇰✨

Diese Unterkunft war der Wahnsinn. Super freundlicher Empfang. Bekamen für alle spontan ein Zimmer upgrade. Essen war wunderbar. Haben auch zu Abendgegessen alles wurde uns von den Lippen abgelesen.

Great view both from the room, the restaurant and the pool. We also very much enjoyed the room itself, which was cozy and had close access to everything. The staff was some of the kindest, helpful and most attentive we’ve experienced on our trip and we felt genuinely welcome here.

It’s not the easiest place to access, but luckily, we had a driver, which made it easy to get there

We had the most amazing evening at Theva. After a disappointing start to our evening in Kandy, Theva completely exceeded our expectations and turned it into a truly memorable experience. The food was exceptional — without doubt the best meal we have had so far in Sri Lanka. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour and clearly made with great care. A special mention has to go to the cauliflower dish — it was absolutely incredible and something we would highly recommend everyone tries! The setting is beautiful, but what really made the evening special was the incredible team. The service was outstanding, and a special thank you to the wonderful manager, Wasantha, who went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and looked after. His warmth, kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference. We were visiting as a family with our 8-year-old daughter and everyone made us feel completely comfortable and included. It was the perfect balance of luxury, relaxation and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality Thank you to Wasantha and the whole team at Theva for giving us such a memorable evening. This has been a real highlight of our Sri Lanka trip and we would highly recommend Theva to anyone visiting Kandy

We very much enjoyed our stay at Theva, away from the noise and busyness of Kandy. The views are beautiful and the hospitality faultless. The team were prepared to go the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable and peaceful stay. The highlight was the food - exceptionally prepared with bags of flavour (some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka). Vishante stood out as a total star - professional, thoughtful and kind. The hotel is not a luxury hotel and could do with some renovations but I appreciate that is costly especially in a challenging geopolitical climate.

We loved our stay in The Theva Residency. The staff was very helpful, they upgrated our room for our honeymoon which was very kind of them. The facility is spotless clean. The pool was amazing, we had some monkey guests which was a great experience for us. The restaurant was amazing, all the dishes we tried we loved. And special thanks to Deepika 🙏 She helped us a lot about the hotel and also she helped us to understand the culture of this beautiful country 😊 Would definetly recommend this hotel to everybody

This was a lovely hotel with a beautiful setting and delicious Sri Lankan food. The staff were endlessly hospitable. The setting could not be better - a great respite from the Kandy crowds.

We stayed for 3 nights in this establishment. Although our stay was nice, it is really overpriced. Our booking on booking.com said €302 in total and when we wanted to pay they charged €392 because of "tourist tax and VAT"... for the record, no other hotel in Sri Lanka deviated from the price that was given on booking.com. I feel that it is heavily overpriced in comparison to the other hotels we visited.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout our entire stay, always ready to help with a smile. The pool was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean, which made the stay even more comfortable. We also appreciated that it wasn’t overcrowded at all, we had plenty of peace and quiet to relax and enjoy our time. Overall, a great experience and we’d happily come back.

We had an unbelievable experience staying at Theva Residency. This peaceful and stunning retreat, overlooking Kandy, was the perfect place to relax. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We were incredibly grateful to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our visit even more memorable. We would definitely recommend Theva Residency to anyone visiting Kandy and would absolutely love to stay here again.

This is a beautiful retreat from the daily city bustle. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway. The food and service is amazing. I have to especially mention Mr. Nuan and Mr. Abitha for their exceptional service.

Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel and room were clean. Lovely pool setting, regrettably the weather wasn't inviting for a swim. Good breakfast. Nice firm bed.

Les espaces communs sauna et spa annoncés pourraient être améliorés et sont très anciens.

Ficamos no quarto com o jacuzzi e foi incrível! Vista, comodidades, limpeza, privacidade e o restaurante é muito muito bom!

A localização é no topo de uma montanha e há partes sem luz. Se tiver motorista não há problema mas no meu caso que estávamos em self drive foi um pouco complicado. Também é isolado por isso qualquer coisa que se precise tem de se ir de carro. A piscina era óptima mas por ter tanta vegetação tinha uns sapinhos lá dentro

Great views, perched on the top of a hill, so you can experience some great morning mist/ on top of clouds experience. Views are great and green. Food was very good too. Staff was great and extremely helpful.

A little dated and despite being one of only a handful of guests at the time, we were put in what felt a little like the dungeon!

Beliggenheden i forhold til beskrivelsen på jeres hotelsider stemmer ikke overens. Vi lejede det fordi der i beskrivelsen står at det ligger i centrum. Hvilket er langt fra virkeligheden. Liger langt uden for byen. Oppe i “bjergene”. Men det ligger i smuk natur - skøn udsigt. Tuk Tuk og Uber ville helst ikke komme og hente os. Det tog hver gang meget lang tid. Vejen til hotellet er rigtig dårlig og hullet. Vi flyttede ned i Kandy efter et par dage fordi vi så kunne gå til byen ca 300 meter. En godtgørelse af en art kunne være passende.

God mat. Nydelig landskapelig utsikt. Personale var vennlig og imøtekommende.

Vi bodde på Suiten (1) og airconditionen både i stue og på soverom var gammel og bråkte veldig mye - umulig å sove med denne på.

The hotel is located on a hill above Kandy, which gives it beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere away from the busy city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

In our opinion the hotel felt quite overpriced for what it offers. We initially planned to stay longer but decided to leave after one night. Also, the road leading up to the hotel is quite steep and narrow, which can make getting there a bit challenging.

Magnifique établissement sur les hauteurs, loin du bruit de la ville. Accueil et personnel adorable et aux petits soins. On y est resté deux jours et on s’est régalés avec leur délicieuse cuisine. On a pris une chambre ground floor avec balcon et très belle vue. Que du bonheur !

We stayed for three nights at the Theva Residency, from 29 January 202, Kandy being the first stop in our visit to St Lanka. What an exceptional place - from our warm greeting, the courteous, thoughtful and professional staff, absolutely delicious food (my husband enjoyed his Sri Lankan breakfast while I am still dreaming about that homemade coconut icecream!) in the well run restaurant. The location of the Theva Residency is stunning, with views from our room and the restaurant. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay, highly recommend.

Espace piscine restreint. Sauna et hammam annoncés pas en service au moment de l’utilisation , long moment de chauffe. Route d’accès assez raide. La propreté des chambres mériterait d’être approfondie

Brilliant facilities and super friendly staff! Room was nice and clean. Restaurant food was delicious!

Location was too far from the centre so not walkable to town and required a car rather than tuk tuk. If you want a peaceful retreat without going out then this is the perfect place for you.

Location was excellent with fantastic views and beautiful rooms. Bathrooms needed a little updating but can only expect so much at that height! Staff were so friendly and THE FOOD IS EXCEPTIONAL!!!

The room was huge and had everything you could possibly need. Incredible views from the room and anywhere in the hotel. Staff were all exceptional and very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

AC was a little old and sometimes not working that well. Location is amazing for views and peace/quiet but for that reason it is more difficult to get to at the top of the mountain.

Perfect hideaway above the city. A few kilometres up above Kandy with stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere and attentive staff. Quiet and calm with a feeling of being in nature and amongst the trees. The pool area is a little cramped but the pool itself is nice enough. The food is a highlight, tasty treats for breakfast and dinner.

Wouah ! Quel séjour !! L’accueil est vraiment convivial. Nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis bien. Notre petit garçon a attiré l’attention de tout le monde et c’était vraiment appréciable. Les petits déjeuners, tout comme les repas (midi et soir, disponibles à toute heure par ailleurs…) étaient délicieux. Les cocktails sont très bons aussi. La vue est exceptionnelle, le personnel aux petits soins et la chambre est grande, confortable et agréable. Un grand merci !

Nous sommes éloignés du centre (mais pour avoir une telle vue, pas le choix). Je précise que cela ne nous a pas dérangé car nous mangions à l’hôtel et c’est ce que nous recherchions mais peut-être que cette information peut servir à d’autres. Cela a seulement été compliqué pour négocier le prix du tuk-tuk depuis le jardin botanique car les chauffeurs demandaient une plus grosse somme que d’habitude du fait de l’altitude. Enfin, la piscine était tout juste chaude, mais j’imagine que cela est dû aux quelques jours pluvieux précédents.

The breakfast was great, all freshly prepared and served by very friendly team. As the hotel was not busy we were offered rooms on the top floor which were fantastic. These had even better 360 views of the surrounding countryside. The rooms are well maintained and luxurious, beds are comfortable. Special mention to Vasantha who was there most mornings to welcome us to breakfast with a smile. All in all a great stay, highly recommended.
