Kuukkeli Apartments Tokka

We love this “old antique “ property and beautiful just beside the forest view. Short walk to the trail and chance to get to view Aurora viewpoint.

Small toilet but fine. The heavy wooden door the lock need to be replaced or repair. Because it is not easy to open with the key

The cabin was in a good location. Close to the Main Street and bus stop for the ski bus and coming and going from Rovaniemi. The town is a cute little ski resort. The staff at check in/ check out were helpful and friendly.

The reception and breakfast was too far away and have to walk through snow with suitcases to check in/ check out was a difficult task. If we didn’t take a $16 euro taxi to our room from the reception/ shopping centre we would have had troubles finding it. We came across other guests that were lost and discovered they had to walk through snow to get to the their room as there was no footpath . We found dishes in the dishwasher and oven and house keeping came knocking on our door wanting to know when we were leaving 35mins before check out.

Location is great, simple accommodation

Could have been cleaner

- Fantastic breakfast - Great location - Sauna next door

Accomodation was quite basic but had everthing we needed for a great stay

Great location

Small shower

It's quite near all commodities and skiing resort.. Sauna just next door.

The bedroom is too narrow for 2. With no window at all.

Location is amazing, right next to the national park. House itself lovely and warm, and the clothes heater is a great addition.

Breakfast included, but it's a good 5 mins walk, which means getting on all your layers first thing in the morning. Food was average.

The stay was an apt in an apt complex right next door to a small shopping center. The breakfast was included and of the various stays we had in our time in Finland, provided the best breakfast options we have had. The apt had a fully functional kitchen and the shopping mall had a great supermarket.

The apt had a sauna in the bathroom and I was very excited to try it out, but unfortunately it was not operational. It is a great unexpected feature. Overall thought the apt was comfortable and provided for a great stay!

Bona localització i instalacions.

Estris de cuina escassos i bruts. Dutxa malfuncionant. El sofà llit, és simplement el sofà. Relació qualitat preu acceptable

The breakfast buffet was a great touch, a little inconvenient location-wise if you don’t have a car, but we did so it worked out! We saw northern lights right outside our place on our first night. Very cozy spot with assigned time for the sauna (only 30min per day). Highly recommend staying here!

Very warm, cozy place in the woods, had space for parking. We saw the aurora borealis on the mountain a few kilometers away.

The sauna time was scheduled according to the rooms, our time coincided with the arrival time, we stayed for one night, so there was no sauna for us. I wrote to the owner, maybe there would be free time to go to the sauna, but I did not receive a response. We traveled with a group of three people, it was not comfortable to sleep on the "sofa", so I would recommend these apartments for two people.

Location was great and also the idea to have a private little house only for us. Very supportive for activities organization and

Facilities were quite old and the space in the house was not well organized. Moreover tha fact of having to walk in the cold for about 7-10 minutes to get breakfast in the morning was not the best. I also found uncomfortable that for check out it was necessary to leave the keys at the same place of breakfast instead of the apartment

Excellent location

Aamiainen oli todella hyvä

Huoneessa haisi todella kovin tunkkaiselle. Yleisilme on jämähtänyt 1980 luvulle.

Great apartment with sauna and great breakfast

The location was amazing and we were able to see one of the best auroras. Good spots for auroras through paths from the village

The location and the cozy natural style of the apartment - all in wood. We had the last apartment in a row, so we were really looking at trees&countryside everywhere, and yet close enough to stores and breakfast. We only had a few steps to Aurora lookout and trails and cross country ski track and as it was out of the village center, we could even see the aurora in front of the little houses. Plus private Sauna times were excellent. And Taxidrivers know the procedure of getting the key before coming to the apartment. Closest public bus station is holiday club.

We didn't know, that arriving in Ivalo Airport at 16:35 we could have gone to Saariselkä by public bus (of which the last drives at 17:14 off the Airport), as the airport is small and the bus is waiting for the plane. We thought that this was not enough time for luggage claim and passport control (which we didn't have at all arriving), but it is enough time.

Very nice location i like the woden cabins very clean private i like the food in the restaurant from supermarket very nice workers Very close to the places with digs husky reindeers and ski Very close to the shops and restaurants

I did not like that the rooms don't have a sauna as is plenty of room and you need to go in the big sauna in the time they book you

Well furnished and clean. Main room was a good size with a decent closet for 2 people. The wooden interior was charming and there is a shared electric grill, hot tub and sauna. Great location! We were able to see the aurora borealis right outside our apartment on Aug 30! Restaurants and market are <10min walk. Trail heads start just at the end of the street.

While the main room was large, the bedroom fit only the bed and not anything else. It’s only a curtain served as a bedroom door. Sauna slots of 30min isn’t enough to enjoy or relax - I really think you need 45-6min.

The location was good for cross country skiing. The sauna was nice. The drying facilities were good.

The location was good but it was too far away from the place where the keys had to be collected. With all the luggage we had to take a taxi. The apartment was ok but there was a very bad smell there, and I couldn't sleep in the bedroom where it especially gathered. Sleeping in the living room was possible but still I could feel the smell. There were good curtains except there wasn't any curtain in the door window which doesn't make any sense. The bedroom was uncomfortable for two people, and because of the bad smell we didn't use it.

All was amazing

People didn't really use their sauna slots. Maybe a system where you can "open" your slot would be nice.

Great location! Close to the skiing slopes (starts basically right in front of the apartment) and hiking trails (entrance to national park is 5min away) as well as to the center of Saariselkä (5min walk to bus stop). The apartment itself was well equipped and had a cozy vibe. Every apartment has a dedicated sauna time slot of 30min (which changes every day) but there’s also public sauna slots for women (18-19h) and men (19-20h), which was great if the private slot time didn’t fit. Overall very happy with the accommodation and can definitely recommend it☺️

As mentioned in other reviews, the pick up/drop off location of the keys is ~10min walking distance from the apartment. It’s not too far but it’s inconvenient if you travel alone and/or don’t have a car so you have to carry all your luggage throughout town. Maybe a key box at the apartment could help solve this issue. Otherwise nothing to complain about 🤗

Great place to stay, everything was nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Nothing

Near to supermarket.

A good number of the cabin facilities need to be replaced or repaired. The shower area is rather small, kettle odd to be replaced as it looks old and dirty; some of the cabinet's interior are damaged. The carpet is too light and when one steps on it, it tends to slide on the floor. Almost fell several times. The picutre in booking.com does not resemble what I saw at the cabin.

Wonderful log house with a spacious living room/kitchen area, cozy bedroom and nice bathroom. The kitchen us fully equipped and very functional, there even is a dishwasher. The whole apartment feels cozy and very homely. The location is great, right next to the entrace to the national park. The supermarket, bus stops, restaurants and tour offices are all at walking distance, yet the place feels like it's in the forest. You get a private sauna plan, giving you 30 minutes to use the sauna every day which is fantastic. I loved everything about my stay and will for sure come back.

I arrived by bus and it was a little tiring to take my luggage to the supermarket/reception to get the keys, and then to the accommodation which is on the other side of the village. But I learned that their original reception building burned down last year and they are rebuilding it, so it's just a temporary solution and not really anybodies fault.

All you need is there. Great for 2-3 persons

We got moved to a different place due to an issue with the place we booked. Studio apartment with everything we needed. Nice shared sauna in the building. Great drying cabinets to quickly dry your clothes.

Not very sound proof. We had noisy neighbours coming home & having a party, making a lot of noise for hours in the middle of the night.

a nice cabin with all essentials, with a voucher for money off lunch at the supermarket cafe. private sauna time and good showers in sauna.

Everything is good about the place, except for access to public transport and room keys

Key collection point is 1 km away, difficult without own transport, bus stop is also 500m walk which is difficult in snow and extreme cold with luggage.

Private sauna was superb!

great location

the 3rd bed was really just a bench with a cushion- lucky out friend likes a hard surface. it was NOT a bed. false advertising to say that was a bed.

cozy and location to restaurants

far from the main office where you get the keys for check in and drop the keys for check out

Wifi was good. Near walking trails. 10 mins walk to reception and supermarket.

The bedroom was very small and the bed was against the wall, difficult to get out at night without disturbing your partner. Bathroom also quite small but functional.

It was a nice stay, very cozy. Kitchen has all the necessary utilities. Definitely recommend!

This space is very cozy aka small. The issue was the lack of communication on the check in process. You have to go to local grocery store to check in. Took us a long time to figure out.

Erinomaisen hyvät saunatilat, vaikkakin yhteiset. Loistava sijainti.

Hyvä sijainti, rauhallinen .pientä ehostusta kaipaisi
