Personal muy amable, hicimos el check in más tarde y nos esperó sin problemas, nos acompañó a la habitación y nos dijo que podíamos usar el osen cuando queramos. La habitación muy amplia, lo futones eran comodisimos y dormimos muy contentas.

Por poner una pega, la temperatura del agua del osen estaba demasiado caliente ( creo que tampoco la habían utilizado mucho ese día y estaba sin mover) nos costó meternos.

あちらこちらの老朽化が酷い、部屋中に加齢臭が充満していて2泊３日でしたがくさいくさいと家族で言って過ごしました。子供向けのご飯ではなかった、夕飯時に子供の御膳にも梅酒が注がれていて危うく飲んでしまいそうでした！

温泉のお風呂が最高でした 朝食のバイキングは好みの料理を選べるのが良かったです

温泉が空いており、気兼ねなく入れた。 涼しく避暑地としてはとても良い。

初日と2日目の料理のグレードが段違い。 宿泊するなら一日（初日）だけの方が良い思い出になる。

予めお願いしていた屋根付き駐輪スペースに案内してもらえた。 場所がじゃりだったのだけど、サイドスタンドが埋まらないように板キレを準備してくれていた。 温泉がむっちゃ開放的だった。露天風呂も。ただ、ちょっと熱めのお湯だったけど。 夕食も朝食もとても美味しかった。ただ、夕食のお品書きと言うか説明がほとんど無かったけどね w 主要な温泉街は川向うで、此方側は交通量も少くとても静かでゆったり出来た。 部屋は古式ゆかしい旅館的な和室。コンセントがちょうどよいところになかったので机を動かして自分好みに配置転換して対応。

部屋付きの洗面所とトイレがちっさくてちょっと使いにくかった。 夕食が何故かTVも何もない個室に通された。静かではあるけれど一人きりだとかなり寂しい。携帯でYouTubeとか見ながらでゆっくり食事したけどね。 朝食はバイキング式。結構な品数で食べすぎちゃった。 朝食も夕食も何故か窓のない部屋でちょっと圧迫感あり。

Très vieillot à mon goût. Mais vraiment! Pas la peine de prendre la nourriture dans le forfait, le choix est imposé et que du traditionnel. Il y’a un bar à burger en bas de l’hôtel qui a l’air mieux que la nourriture proposé au repas. Sinon l’hôtel beaucoup Trop vieux et pas entretenu.

Staff helped with transfer to and from Yudanaka station, with a shuttle to Jigokudani Park too.

As it's countryside destination don't count on restaurants to be open until late. Some are not very foreign friendly either (perhaps due to excessive tourism over the winter months?), but you'll have a fun and special experience if you try to speak some Japanese with the locals!

早餐樣式很多，簡單而美味。露天大浴場非常舒服，房間也很寬敞且乾淨，服務人員每個都很友善。

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Mooi klassiek hotel dat wel zijn beste tijd gehad heeft maar wel een mooie blik geeft hoe het vroeger was in het ‘oude/klassieke’ Japan. Verouderd hotel, maar het heeft wel nog zijn charme en je bent meteen gecharmeerd door de warme ontvangst en de hulpvaardige uitbaters. Met hard en ziel trachten ze het beste te bieden aan hun gasten. Zeker eens een aanrader voor 1 nacht. Prima beleving van Oncen en een traditioneel Japans avondmaal. Ga zeker ook het Snow Monkey Park bezoeken!

The riverside view was nice, and the complimentary shuttle to the monkey park was convenient.

The hotel could benefit from investing more in its infrastructure and communication, especially if it wants to cater to international guests. Before our stay, I sent multiple messages through Booking asking about the monkey park shuttle and whether the hotel participated in the Shibu Onsen yukata hopping experience. Unfortunately, I never received a response. The facilities also felt dated. The elevators are old (one closed on me while I was walking through), the bathrooms could use renovation and did not have soap or shampoo provided. Your communication and infrastructure doesn't match the value you're charging people. ⚠️ If you're looking at this because you want to do the traditional yukata hopping experience One of the main reasons we booked in this area was for the traditional yukata hopping experience between the public baths. However, this hotel is not part of the local ryokan association, so guests do not receive access to the Shibu Onsen public bath pass. I couldn't find this information anywhere on the Booking listing, and because the hotel never replied to my messages, I only found out after arriving. If experiencing the public baths is one of your main reasons for visiting Shibu Onsen, don't book this one! Finally, if you're arriving with large luggage, be aware that getting from the station to the hotel can be inconvenient. The hotel offers a pickup service, but given the lack of communication before our stay, I wouldn't rely on being able to coordinate it in advance.

This is a well-run, basically furnished royken for those wanting a simple and practical stay. Its a bit dated but clean and tidy. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was very traditional and plentiful but no westernised additions. The onsen was great. There are many local restaurants but you need to check early as often they are shut! The local brewery is a fun visit for beer and sake tasting

Nice view from the window in the room, very relaxing to sit by the window looking at the view and listening to the river sound. The dinner was served in a private room and was very nice. Breakfast was buffet style. Had burger for lunch in the cafe, very nice burger.

Very cramp in the toilet, my knees almost touched the wall when i sat down on the toilet bowl. They should remove the toilet door, then it wont be so cramp inside. The toilet always make a very loud sound when I flush.

The Japanese experience

It was all great

Very kind and helpful staff, the owners offered us a shuttle from the station and to the monkey park, which we really appreciated. Our room had an amazing view of the mountains and the river and the Kannon statue, and we enjoyed the traditional Japanese room facilities like the tatami mats, futon bed, floor seating table and yukatas. The hotel interior is a little bit retro, but we liked it as it felt authentic, and everywhere was very clean. There were clean towels and Japanese tea and a flask with hot water waiting for us every day. A kind man at the reception offered us soft pillows in case we don't like the traditional bean pillow, but surprisingly we enjoyed them. We used the public bath at the hotel for a small fee and we especially liked the outside bath, as the water is very hot, it is nice to be outside in the evening to cool down (we visited in June). It is a natural hot spring with high mineral content. Sauna room, bathing amenities and body lotion are available at the onsen. The hotel was quiet, so at times I had the onsen all to myself. The town centre is around 15 min walk from the hotel and it offers a nice variety of restaurants and bars and a supermarket. There's a burger place right next to the hotel with very nice ice cream. We want to come back in winter to experience the onsen and the mountains in the snow too.

The owner gave us a transfer to and from The station and to the monkey park. He gave us maps and timetable for the buses back from the monkey park. There is a good burger place next to the hotel open 11 am- 9 pm

The Air com was not very good as the room Was enormous. The window has insect screens so you can open it

Spacious room with nice views. Excellent onsens. Friendly and helpful staff. Free shuttle to Monkey Park and even offered us a ride to the train. Restaurant looked good.

Not many stores / services near the hotel. A bit on the pricey side for the location and age of the hotel.

Super ! un vieillot, dans son jus, mais vraiment à la façon japonaise. Le dîner, un vrai régal avec une personnes à notre service, et encore à la japonaise. Personne n'étant pas souple s'abstenir !

Omodaka - convenient easy to find location for those driving. Nearby attractions less than 30min drive. Front desk super helpful. Rooftop onsen was unique but water is quite hot, so be prepared. Tatami rooms were big and had separate toilet and shower. Dinner was good. Breakfast was ok. Last but not the least, Yudanaka Brewery, a short 8 min walk away, was a surprise find. Great place to enjoy local craft beer, snacks and food.

The bean pillow is not something we're used to, so take note.

The couple running the hotel was very welcoming and friendly. The onsen was great and the visit to the snow monkey park was also great. The small rural town vibe was cool.

El onzen abierto fue un highlight. Las personas del hotel fueron muy amables. El servicio de transporte del hotel al snow monkey park y a la estación más cercana de tren fue perfecto para nuestros planes.

The breakfast is amazing with Japanese food. The osen is just like in the picture and the location is very quite and good for escape for big city. Near Monkey Park also

Breakfast was good and fun to meet the other guests. Our room was hugh and so clean. Big windows looked out on the river and the sound of running water was wonderful. The onsen was a perfect to go to any time of day or night to soak and bath. Most of the time I had it to myself and the outdoor onsen was so relaxing, watching a pair of hawks flying with snow-capped mountains in the background. The staff is so friendly and shuttled us to the train or park every time we said we were going anywhere.

The hotel is separated from the town areas so you miss the experience of walking in your yukta from onsen to onsen.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful, the traditional meal was delicious, sitting in the onsen looking at the mountains in the early morning was such an amazing experience. They gave us a lift to the monkeys and offered us a lift to the station as well (we chose to walk as Nagano is beautiful in the sun!). The traditional bed was comfier than we expected! Honestly one of the highlights of our trip.

La propriétaire est au petit soin pour ses clients. Il propose une navette pour la gare de Yudanaka mais aussi de nous déposer au départ du parcours Snow Monkey.

Absolument TOUT était parfait. Déjà, l’accueil des gérants de l’hôtel, serviables comme on n’avait encore jamais vu. La chambre traditionnelle était parfaite, impeccablement propre, le gérant nous a amenés en minibus à la gare puis à l’endroit du Monkey Park. On a super bien dormi sur les futons. Les onsens sont superbes dans l’établissement, fidèles aux photos avec coucher de soleil. Les burgers étaient super bons également. Je suis vraiment unanime sur cet endroit, le service est vraiment exceptionnel, nous en avons été très émus. D’excellentes recos des hôtes pour les restaurants. N’hésitez pas !!!

車を降りてから案内してくれる方が気さくで散策案内もしてくださりありがたかったです。

部屋でドライヤーをかけたかったが常備がなく残念！洗面所のコップが1つのみ。2人で利用したので2つは 欲しかったです。

The hosts were super friendly, showed me all the good spots to go eat and in the morning offered me a ride to the Snow Monkey Park as well as to the train station when I was leaving. The room is gorgeous, a traditional Japanese experience and they also gave me a yukata to go to the onsen. Although shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer were not in the room, the shampoo and conditioner were free to use in the onsen, and the hosts gave me the dryer when I asked if they have it.

The onsen was a bit hot but it was empty so I had everything to myself and it was super relaxing. The facilities are outdated but everything still functions properly.

ホテルへの到着が遅く、お夕飯の時間が遅くなりましたが、仲居さんがとても丁寧に対応して下さいました。 予定の都合で朝食をキャンセルしましたが、変わりの品を下さるなど親切な対応にホテルの皆さまの温かさが伝わってきました。感謝です✨

The owners or managers were so wonderful. They gave us a ride to the train and monkey park. The dinner they made for us was great and such a nice thing to experience. They have no problem with tattoos in the onsen either which I was grateful for

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Onsenbereich war sehr schmutzig und runtergekommen. Das Städtchen ist nicht sehenswert. Die Bilder des Hotels stimmen nicht mit der Realität überein. Da wird man getäuscht. Die Essensbilder sind Fake. Es gibt im Hotel Burger mit Pommes und das war's. Die Betten waren schmuddelig und einen alten verdreckten Kühlschrank gab es auch

The location is on a road next to the major river, easy to find and is surrounded by cherry trees, the scenery is beautiful. Dinner was served on a private room and was excellent, and breakfast was buffet style with mainly Japanese dishes. They have inside and outside onsens, and were not crowded.

The hotel is a bit dated, but still kept pretty clean.

The room was spacious and pretty with a great view. There were yakuta and slippers you could use, and the indoor and outdoor onsen were very nice. Breakfast was good, and we got a ride to the snow monkey park, and a ride to the Yudanaka train station afterwards. It's cheaper than other places in the area, great value for your money.

The traditional Japanese beds were a bit hard.

Sehr charmantes Ryokan, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das machen das zauberhafte Personal und das tolle Essen wieder gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön groß, der Onsen schön, die Lage super.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und trotz der Sprachbarriere war die Verständigung problemlos. Das Zimmer war sauber und großzügig. Das Abendessen, Kaiseki, welche zusätzlich bezahlt werden muss, war eine tolle und leckere Erfahrung - absolute Empfehlung!

Das Hotel ist extrem in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf sehr dringend einer Renovierung. Es riecht unangenehm, die Teppiche sind abgenutzt und fleckig. Wir haben uns dadurch sehr unwohl gefühlt. Preis-Leistung stimmt daher nicht. Das Frühstücks-Restaurant befindet sich im Keller ohne Fenster.

Breakfast , we booked the Superior Japanese Room with Ryokan breakfast to be served in the room to find out we had to go for a buffet breakfast with identical food items all 4 days (nothing will change at all). We booked the Japanese Room to have the full Japanese experience but we did not get what we purchased! Furthermore, breakfast time slot either 7am or 8am, not flexible and front desk calls you 20 minutes before to hurry you to breakfast . Owners are around 70/80 years old and not investing to upkeep the facility, onsen badly need renovations/ facilities in the room from several decades ago

Difficulté à communiquer avec le personnel par booking avant l’arrivée malgré plusieurs messages. Nous avons dû demander à un de nos hôtels au Japon d’appeler à l’établissement pour organiser le transfert depuis la gare. Petit déjeuner varié, mais peu intéressant pour des occidentaux.

O quarto era grande com uma pequena varanda e uma vista linda do rio. A equipe era fenomenal, extremamente gentil. O hotel enviou uma van para nos buscar na estação (mesmo sem termos solicitado). O hotel também oferece transfer gratuito para o parque dos macacos.

O banheiro do quarto não tem chuveiro, mas o onsen do hotel é excelente.

L'hôtel est vintage, il est typique des années 70. Il y a un onsen où l'on peut se détendre à n'importe quelle heure.

ใกล้ๆ ที่พักไม่มีร้านอำนวยความสะดวก ใครที่มาที่นี้อาจจะต้องซื้อของเข้ามาเลย หรือเหมาะกับการขับรถมาพัก

The shuttle service to and from the station and to the monkey park was excellent. The owner although his English wasn't great was very obliging and helpful. The food was lovely, with some Western touches for breakfast.

Some of the showers in the onsen weren't working. But it was very quiet when we were there so it didn't matter. They insist on punctuality when going down for meals to the extent we got phone calls 10 mins beforehand wondering where we were. We realised that this is the Japanese way after a while.

Nettes Personal, schöner Onsen

The Staff were excellent. Location in the mountains is great. We had traditional rooms. The Onsen was wonderful.

Das Personal ist unglaublich hilfsbereit. Angefangen vom Checkin, Tipps und Karten für die Stadt, der ShuttleService zum Park und Bahnhof. Bei der Abreise hat der Fahrer uns übersehen und ist bereits losgefahren, der Herr an der Rezeption ist hinterher gerannt und ha ihn zurück gerufen :D Das Onsen ist durchwegs geöffnet und mit Blick auf die Berge Naganos.

Die Einrichtung ist halt doch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, vor allem das Bad in den Zimmern. Trotzdem alles sehr schön Japanisch und vor allem sauber!

Dårlig i engelsk, men som forventet da det er et mindre sted i Japan. Til tross for dette prøvde personalet så godt de kunne å kommunisere med oss.
