Hotel presents well from outside. Parking was quite easy. Beds were comfortable. TV was modern and worked well.
Lack of hospitality. Mucky plastic table clothes in dining room. Poor lighting in droom, poor quality of food esp. in the evenings. Hot breakfasts were passable but cold choices were pathetic. No one in Reception at check out. Couple running hotel not trained to make guests welcome.
The location
Everything Unmaned reception Toilets wouldnt flush We ate out food not good No housekeeping in 4 days No outside light working and room was at top of steps away from main building
Great staff. Super nice. Beautiful property outside the city.
Really liked it. Nice staff!!
Cleanliness and service
Vegetable spring rolls
Ruime parkeerplaats en mooie locatie. Rustig gelegen.
Oude matrassen. Het zag er allemaal slordig uit. Niet zoals op de foto’s. Housekeeping was slecht.
Size of rooms and comfy bed, size of ensuite.
Stained and worn carpets
Clean, good location and space
The entrance garden was heaven so well preserved and tranquil the hotel is an absolute stunning relaxing retreat from life 🙏
Leaving
Amazing location set in wonderful grounds. Very quiet and peaceful.
Breakfast is not amazing.
I liked the hotel room and surrounding garden. Staff were friendly
It would have been better if there were two towels per person (as in one big towel and one small towel like they have in other hotels) Also could do with vegetarian options for breakfast.
Friendly staff spotless and good value for money
Kitchen closed at 7.30pm so had to go out to dinner
Breakfast was of good quality and well stocked and freshly cooked.
Limited plug sockets in the room due to the age of building
The location. In the countryside
I couldn't fault anything
The position and the view was amazing. The staf were very friendly the Breakfast. Was good and lots of parking
The property. Could do with updating a bit tired The heating was not on due to the time of year so towels where not drying but asked at reception and they sent clean towels up to the room
Set in lovely grounds Large carpark Quiet and peaceful setting
Nothing our room was a little small but we booked it last minute over a bank holiday weekend and it was the last one Had everything we needed except we couldn’t find a hairdryer Staff superb at the hotel and restaurant Gave us a fan straight away when we asked
Great location for our function. Very quiet area. Beautiful grounds
Area was good
Breakfast a bit poor, beer not very good, lines may need cleaning, but could be just me. Delux premium rooms not very deluxe a little dated.
Beautiful grounds
Last order for dinner was 7.30 and no bar menu. Breakfast items were lukewarm.
The house and grounds are stunning. You drive in and get quite excited about staying in such a beautiful place Rooms were clean but not what we booked Breakfast buffet was fine
Tackiness. Hanging baskets with fake flowers hanging on the outside. Restaurant with plastic tablecloths and fake flowers. Lady serving scruffy in Simpsons track suit. Food disgusting. Felt like it had come from freezer to microwave to plate. We were a party of 6 and three meals were uneaten it was so bad. We had booked 2 premium double rooms and a suite. We got 3 doubles that were basic. Nothing premium about them and no suite. Such a beautiful building and grounds,, such a shame about how it's managed and run in a down market way. People were walking dogs in grounds but broken pint glass in grass by car park could hurty them
The cooked English breakfast was good but the fruit was very hit and miss and not very much of a selection. The cleaning lady was very pleasant and serviced our room when we asked her.
When we arrived at the hotel it smelled of old chip pan fat which wasn't very inviting. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as the prices were in my opinion, expensive - £19 for a beef curry! The room was spacious but the beds should have been scrapped years ago. The mattresses were old. The mattress covers were old and "bobbly" and the sheets were old and not matching. The pillow were also poor quality and all different sizes. The antique wooden wardrobe drawer was broken. The décor throughout the whole hotel was probably done in the 80's with woodchip wallpaper painted in magnolia paint. When we arrived at the hotel it smelled of old chip pan fat which wasn't very inviting.
Location is very good. Staff were very helpful.
Room 16 was very quiet on first night with no-one in room 18 above. On second night room 18 was occupied by people arriving off the ferry very late. We were woken by them walking back and for and they kept us awake until after 2pm. I rang reception and night porter contacted them to tell them they were disturbing guests. This quietened but still went on until 3am and then we could hear them showering from 7am.
The room was outdated and bed linen had soil stains when asked member of staff could they change bedlinen we were assured it would be but when we returned later that evening it wasn't changed
Nice location.
Needs investment.
Room n beds were different from the ones shown in photos. Beds were tiny could not even turn over
good breakfast
if i was staying more than 1night a small fridge for milk ang a microwave for my food at night
Room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. Fans were provided which did help a little with the heat
The lady on reception was very pleasant . Location was good
Room was very dated and bathroom had mould stains on ceiling. Breakfast was of very poor quality
Quiet location. Clean. Breakfast provided.
Very warm room even though they provided a fan. Shower needs some TLC as had a screw loose.
We booked one room two single bed! Big room with nice comfortable one double bed and one single bed ! Very nice views!
The dinner was really bed! Most of food it’s frozen food! We ordered somen with vegetables but vegetables were very bad and the somen wasn’t cooked properly! In the morning breakfast could b better! They only had white bread no brown bread for the tost !
Satisfactory
Could only have dinner between 5 and 7 so had to eat elsew6
Quiet private room
No plug sockets at sides of bed. Shower very poor pressure. Very squeaky floor boards. Room very dated and tired.
Lovely area Clean, with friendly and kind staff Room was perfect size and clean
The area was fantastic and it was quiescence. We could rest as we expected.
Breakfast was good self service or kitchen service depending on level of occupation.
Evening meals were just OK but the restaurant was very busy when we ate, as a party of eight.
Nice place with a beautiful view of the country. Breakfast was ok. There is tea kettle in the room.
Rooms (during he heat wave) were incredibly hot. There was no air conditioning, and only on the second night we got a fan (which do help a little bit but no much): In terms of staff we felt that some didn't really care so much about the customers visiting the hotel. They could have shown a bit more motivation. To go to a restaurant you need to drive a couple of miles by car, and even the choice is no overwhelming.
Beautiful setting in the countryside.
The room was very hot but we visited during a heatwave so that can’t be helped
Very quiet hotel. Plenty of parking. Menu needs a little sorting ax some items not available. Staff very polite and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. A few things need a little tweak but overall a very pleasant stay.
Some items not available on the menu so I was a bit limited. However meals were of a good portion. I didn’t go hungry.
The breakfast was extremely good the grounds outside we're beautiful
I believe the hotel and staff were wonderful
Breakfast excellent Evening meal excellent Staff very accommodating
Squeaky floors and cold water was actually hot.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, and it's a really beautiful location. I'd come back for the location alone but would avoid when too hot.
The breakfast wasn't great and choices felt very limited. The rooms don't have air con so I'd advise against staying here during heatwaves as rooms get quite hot. Soundproofing could also be better between rooms but quite a common issue in most hotels really.
Staff very attentive and helpful, location and grounds excellent, property interesting and comfortable.
Food was just OK
It was very clean and very good staff
A long way from town
Big and comfortable room and bar area with darts and pool table
Needed more darts
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The hotel is dated and there is a smell of damp in places. The location is stunning, the grounds are beautiful. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or for families… we had 2 rooms with 2 adults and 2 children in each and there was plenty of space, the rooms are massive.
The breakfast was the biggest down side to the hotel. It was £10 for an adult and £7 for a child. There is limited selection for breakfast and what there is there was very basic. We were told breakfast was 7-10 so got down at 9:30, but everything was cleared away at 10! We weren’t asked if anyone wanted more coffee or juice before it was taken. I would definitely save the money and go elsewhere where for breakfast.
Excellent, very clean hotel, friendly staff, beautiful gardens to enjoy. Location was perfect for us.
We love a selection of fruit ie. Bananas, tinned peaches or pears, prunes. Some hotels have offered those and people look for just a continental breakfast. We love cappuccino with our breakfast so we miss having that choice. We miss choice of vegetables as well.
Stunning location with fab views and very friendly staff.
The food was very over priced and not the quality you would expect for the price. They did have the football on till late which meant English fans up till late shouting and drunk so not much sleeping.
Fantastic room ,very clean and comfortable, good breakfast
Friendly and helpful staff, lovely gardens and pleasant bar. Quiet country location.
Some of the basic facilities in the room were not working properly.
lovely place, very peaceful and tranquil
Breakfast was very nice. Cereal dispensers a bit cumbersome but did the job. Toaster brilliant, food cooked to perfection and service was excellent! Room was perfect, very relaxing and quiet, which is extremely important the visiting customer. Please make this a top criteria and ongoing desirable for guests. A fabulous find, when in need of a hotel. Advertise a bit better, lucky to have found your hotel. It was, is a Gem! We will be back!
Hmm ... we can actually think of nothing.
EVERYTHING! Staff were amazing. Beds comfy, breakfast tasty, grounds are beautiful too!
Nothing. Everything was perfect!
Going to see a freind
Nothing everything was marvolous
I liked everything, the venue and grounds for my daughters wedding were spectacular but the staff were amazing.
I didn't dislike anything, all my needs were catered for
Local to where we needed to be.
TV didn’t work, didnt have another room available nor another TV. Room was very hot, we opened a window but a fan would have been nice. Bag of rubbish at end of corridor for the duration of our 1 night stay.
Silenzio
Colazione Dolce scarsa
Bathroom excellant felt safe from risk of falls. Relaxed atmosphere, ground floor room. Comfy bed, peaceful. Nice welcome abd ease of booking in. Nice location. Liked everything will return.
Nothing
Location was lovely, and breakfast included made it decent value for money. Lots of parking spaces. Has an EV charging point.
Room (7) was very hot all the time even though the heating wasn’t on. Mattress not very supportive. Decor a little dated and bathroom fittings were in need of attention, shower water pressure was poor. EV charger costs more than those in car parks in town. Staff were polite but could be more engaged and there was no offer of help with luggage up the stairs and it lacked a welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely location, quiet, good value
Restaurant was available but only at 7:30 with a reservation and was not very good value but useful if one needed to eat there out of necessity.
Ein großzügiges, stilvolles und gepflegtes Zimmer. Sehr ruhig. Ein schönes historisches Countryside Hotel. Riesiger Garten .Gute Ausstrahlung.
Good
Could not get my shower to work
Rooms are very clean
Great location, peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff.
Catering facilities are basic and mediocre. Could be improved upon.
Quiet and beautiful location
Location was very peaceful, staff friendly enough
Hotel was too far out of the way, had to rely on taxis as there was no public transport nearby, Radiators and towel warmer in my room did not work until they were fixed on the 2nd to last day of my stay.
Good food on first evening of stay. Three breakfasts all very good. Excellent and comfortable double bed.
It was very quiet with only two other couples staying in the hotel
Comfortable bed
Staff didn't make you feel welcomed and just messed around on there phones
Beggars Reach Hotel is a peaceful and well-located base for exploring Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, offering comfortable accommodation in a quiet countryside setting near Milford Haven.
Rooms were lovely - beautifully furnished and beds so comfy. Hotel was set in amazing gardens and location. Very peaceful and relaxing. A perfect retreat. Good food too - enjoyed nice breakfast each morning and a delicious evening meal at night!
Nothing - looking forward to finding excuse to come again!
Lovely grounds Big room
Room wasn’t cleaned during the stay
Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The tv wasn’t working so they replaced it immediately. The breakfast was good and I ate in the restaurant every night which was perfect for me . They had a good choice on the menu. As a woman staying on my own here, I felt very safe and comfortable and would definitely come back again .
A great location and view, the room was very comfy
No restaurant facilities at 7pm. No visible staff when I tried to book in and the following morning when I was trying to get breakfast.
Wry comfortable. Room very well finished. All facilities worked except the TV. Staff made aware but didn’t make any difference. Glad I had the iPad.
The food. Items from the menu not available. Bland in appearance. Tasted ok.
Comfortable, well furnished room with wonderfully fluffy towels. Friendly staff and efficient service.
Breakfast options are a little limited, especially for vegetarians
Landscape
Lovely location
Would be better with evening entertainment/ more food options
Old fashioned, cozy, comfortable. Soft beds, warm rooms, windows you can open and an excellent breakfast
Garden looked nice
Room very hot and bed linen smelt musty, when checked in no explanation of what time breakfast was served or where it was served, toilet didn’t flush properly
Hotel was spotless, country side location, Views, grounds, had restrauant, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Room 25 is a ground floor bedroom any everything was 100%. The food quality was 1st class and plates were filled to maximum. Staff were all good and eager to please and the grounds are superb, just right for wedding receptions. Will stay again.
Nothing to dislike except the rain.
