Reviewed Apr 1, 2026Elmarie& Dawie waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend& hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war grossartig & mit Liebe zubereitet.Die Einrichtung hat ein spezielles Design.Wunderschöner Garten.
Die Zimmer sind hellhörig und eher dunkel. Der Kühlschrank war defekt und so konnte ich meine Verpflegung nicht mehr Essen. Mein Kaffeebecher wurde einfach entsorgt. Schade kann man sich im wunderschönen Garten nicht gemütlich verweilen. Ich habe mich darauf gefreut die Sonne etwas geniessen zu können.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025I have traveled many times to Rustenburg and stayed at many places. Terra Casa is the best I have stayed at. It is in a quiet, tranquil, suburb. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed, and spacious. Elmarie is a great host and and her breakfasts delicious.

Reviewed Oct 31, 2025I was very disappointed with the breakfast, the food was like kids meals. The so-called "Full breakfast" was like food that was there for tasting not for serving, and mind you I am not a heavy eater but the breakfast was gonna be good for kids NOT for adults.
Breakfast was a disappointment, we were served with two mini sausages i don't know if mini is the correct word they were so small like my thumb, and the bacon was so dry. In their rooms they have rusks they were so delicious, i had to ask for a recipe and we were given some for the road.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025Ein kleines Stück vom Himmel! Das herzlichste Willkommen, das man sich vorstellen kann. Wunderschön eingerichtet, mehr Liebe zum Detail geht nicht! Paradiesisch grüner Garten und Loggia mit Baumfarnen, Palmen, bequemen Sofas und Springbrunnen. Frühstück mit allen Sorten von Granola, Früchten, Joghurt, Brot, Aufstrich, Ei… Je nach Gusto. Und jeden Nachmittag fühlte sich die Rückkehr nach einem ereignisreichen Safari-Tag in den Pilanesbergen an, als würde man nach Hause kommen. Hausgebackener Schokoladenkuchen inklusive! Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, ich wäre am liebsten einfach für immer geblieben. Dankie en tot volgende keer!

The first day the aircon wasn't working which made my first night very uncomfortable especially considering classic interior design - a very big room with partial carpet, and in winter. Elmarie did sort it out the following day and that I appreciate a lot. I will take the room any day in summer

The room was not cleaned and everything was covered in dust, there were dead insects, an ant nest building up outside the door. The host was not aware of our booking which we made well ahead of time, hence the dusty room. However, we had just been on a long trip and needed to rest.

This glorious home features a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, pool, patio, and themed suites (I was in Van Gogh: did not have to leave an ear as payment, tho) The suite itself is massive: the bathroom is larger than a hotel room I had in Paris 30 years ago. Private balcony. It’s understandable that visiting businesspersons love this place: they order dinners to meet w/ their clients. Location is up in the hills. Your hostess is willing to listen to cuisine choices, and will help get clothing washed.
These are *not* dislikes; simply observations from a senior American. Be prepared for stairs: the home is built into a hill, and its construction was not all-at-once, so several levels within the structure. Parking can be challenging for those used to driving on the right. the hostess suffered a great loss in her personal life in the summer of 2024: her husband, with whom she designed the house & shared the love of food, and art, and music, departed this life. I didn’t know until just before I left. This is a tough year for her.
