Le petit déjeuner est incroyable !

We often prefer boutique properties for the more personalised service and Planta didn’t disappoint in this respect. We loved the understanding to request a room change and had a wonderful 5 days overlooking the rice fields, having breakfast in bed and enjoying the bath. There are mini marts, cafes and restaurants all within 2-5 minutes’ walk and even a small pharmacy. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Though there’s wear and tear as expected of properties through the years, you can see the thoughtful and elegant design of Planta.

Mosquitoes but manageable.

Beautiful location just off central Canggu. A jungle oasis away from busy streets. Room (MAGA) was delightful and right by the pool. The staff, particularly Harry who greeted us at check in & spoke with us daily were a credit to Planta - exceptional.

Only downside was building works taking place next door so slightly killed the morning wildlife as we woke. This, however, was something they couldn’t control.

Simple , nice, feels like home to you.

De kamer was toch wel erg verouderd en vies… dit was onze duurste accommodatie van de reis en het minst luxe. Veel plekken op de gordijnen, lampenkappen of dekbedden. Douche zat vol met kalk. Geen normaal licht in de kamer (voor vrouwen moeilijk om op te maken). Personeel was vriendelijk maar lastig te bereiken in de avonduren. Wij zijn uiteindelijk na een dag weggegaan, waar het personeel begrip voor had. Dat was erg prettig! Het is een mooi hotel, maar er moet echt aan gerenoveerd worden.

Prachtige kamers en dito badkamer. Uitstekend ontbijt.

Wij hebben in de vele honderden hotels waar wij hebben overnacht de afgelopen jaren nog nimmer voor een Nespresso coffeecapsule op de kamer behoeven te betalen. Hier berekenden zij voor 4 gebruikte capsules maar liefst bijna €8. Dat is het enige jammere, niet nodig lijkt ons.

Beautiful and very romantic. They only have 4 rooms which was so nice felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Was next to rice fields that we could see out our bathroom window so so lovely. The staff were great and there were lots of things to walk to. This would be an amazing place to go with a group.

There is construction going on nearby and during the day you can hear party music from a local venue. We didn’t have a problem with this it was super quiet at night and honestly it’s Bali it is noise and busy if that is a dealer breaker for you and your not able to embrace all that Bali is, consider going somewhere else.

Mention spéciale pour Sugi qui a su sublimé notre séjour par sa disponibilité, sa gentillesse, son professionnalisme et son sérieux. Si jamais nous sommes de retour sur Bali c’est ici que nous reviendrons ! Merci

Het personeel was super vriendelijk! Het bed lag lekker! En fijn dat de airco richting het bed blies zodat je geen last had van muggen tijdens de nacht. (Het klamboe gordijn hielp ook). De locatie was ook fijn! Toch kozen we ervoor om eerder weg te gaan vanwege de muggen (we reizen met een 4 maanden oude baby). Het was lastig om lekker buiten de zitten met de baby (onze kamer lag naast een rijstveld). Daarnaast lag het zwembad ook al vrij gauw in de schaduw door de vele bomen en plagen. Het personeel was uiterst begripvol en regelden dat we ons geld terug kregen.

Very close to Canggu, quiet with big rooms

On arrival there was a lot of rubbish around the pool that had been left there by earlier guests. Walking down the short path by the pool lead to a big pile of rubbish bags and there was a huge construction site right behind the hotel.

Beautiful property , spacious room and location is near to canggu center

Narrow road to the property, dark at night with no clear signs. Shower heads were not working properly. Breakfast could have been better. Not worth the price .

I had such a relaxing stay at Planta. Everything about this hotel was perfect. The room was super comfortable, clean, cozy, and made me feel at home. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after busy days in Canggu. What made the experience even more special was the service. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and caring. You can really feel how much effort the team puts into making guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. Definitely one of the best stays I've had in Bali, and I would happily come back again. 10/10!

I had memorable stay. The room was spacious with a bathtub to relax and recharge. The resort was peaceful and quiet surrounded by green nature. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Recommended

La qualité du service, le personnel est à l'écoute et attentionné. Le cadre verdoyant, grande chambre, la piscine. Petit resort idéal pour passer un bon séjour. A proximité des commerces et pourtant au calme car en retrait de la rue.

Lovely relaxing, lush plants

Персонал очень услужлив, готов всегда помочь, охотно идет навстречу. Было немного постояльцев, часто было ощущение что я один в отеле. Приятный балийский стиль номера. Небольшая, но зеленая территория. Хорошая инфраструктура рядом - супермаркеты, прачка, кафе.

Главный минус - постоянный шум. Возможно когда то это место было уединенным, но с тех пор как напротив в 20 метрах ведется постоянная стройка - будьте готовы к долбежке нон стоп каждый день с 8 утра до вечера. Шумоизоляция номера - никакая, через крышу все слышно. Очень шумные соседи вокруг (виллы), что создает дополнительный шумовой фон, поспать днем или до обеда, почитать тихо книгу - забудьте. Деревья вокруг осыпаются листьями везде по отелю и в бассейн, но персонал убирает периодически. Отель явно экономит везде где можно. Завтрак нормальный, но однообразный. В номерах вечером не хватает света, его мало.

Property was huge and sprawling. Could have been amazing if only it was maintained and cleaned well. Staff were nice and helpful.

First of all, the mosquito situation in the villa is horrible. We are from the Philippines and we have the same weather and we are used to mosquitoes but this one was so bad. My baby had 13 mosquito bites. The first day it was only 8 and the next day she woke up with more bites. We stayed in an Airbnb in Ubud before coming here and it was also outdoors with an outdoor shower with several fishponds, plants, and was across rice terraces but my baby did not have insect bites at all. We were all afraid to hangout outside of our rooms cause we were all getting bitten by mosquitoes even during breakfast. Second, the airconditioning of the room is so hot. On our last night my family and I slept with out a blanket and we were sweating. We all wanted to have a good night rest since we have a late flight home but none of us slept well. The power also kept turning off which was hard especially when you’re trying to make the baby take a nap. Third, there is construction everywhere. There is one literally with in the property. It was so loud in the rooms. We can also be seen inside by the construction workers. We shouldve been informed in advance about this earlier. It made the rooms even darker for us cause we couldnt even open the curtain cause we could be seen outside which made getting ready, packing our luggage, and checking for bugs in the bed so much harder. Fourth, we wanted to swim but the pool was dirty. It seemed like it hadnt been cleaned. Even the day beds, common restrooms, and high chair that was provided wasnt cleaned. Fifth, we needed an extra bed for our nanny to stay in our room since we didnt want her to stay in a separate room from us, just to add an additional bed, the management still charged us per night for the extra bed which was really upsetting since we already paid for her stay.

It is a beautiful resort, very peaceful and quite Staff responds promptly when you reach out to them. Staff was extremely polite and made up for the things that caused inconveniences. Breakfast was good

Our toilet was blocked the whole time. We had to use bucket to flush the waste which was extremely inconvenient. Its not what you expect after paying close to 550 AUD for 2 nights. Dim lights which looks beautiful but if you are a makeup girl, you will struggle with proper lighting. Also, one of the common room had a damp smell and we couldn't sit or enjoy the room.

A beautiful building with beautiful furnishings, surrounded by trees and garden. natural materials have been used throughout, this place gave me a really close connection to nature. It looks fantastic and is very Zen. There are plenty of daybeds and cultural furniture around the pool.

I liked everything

A unique and tastefully designed villa, perfectly tucked away from the busyness of Canggu, with amazing staff who made our stay perfect. Edy, Swartini and Raade Santi were wonderful & looked after us all so well. Highly recommend!!

Very beautiful villa, with lovely pool and great breakfast. The staff were so helpful and very kind. Bed was comfortable and overall a great relaxing vibe.

Construction was happening whilst we were there and it was very noisy.

Although the hotel is very private and hidden between the trees and plants there are a lot of buildings activities around it. So you have to accept a lot of sound coming from the buildingsites

Poor lighting in the room, the room was not that clean, there was an old can left in the room and the room was very dusty, stains on the mosquito nets.

La struttura si trova a meno di 10 minuti dalle spiagge: posizione ideale, comoda ma lontana dal caos dei beach club. È stupenda, moderna e al tempo stesso ben integrata nella natura circostante. Con sole 5 camere garantisce relax e silenzio assoluti. La nostra, al primo piano con vista piscina, era enorme, con un bagno altrettanto spazioso dotato di doppio lavandino, vasca e doccia. Personale super gentile e disponibile, molto buona anche la colazione.

Wife complained of poor lighting in the bathroom and/or lack of a mirror in the bedroom as natural light was better. Minor issues.

The location, the facilities.

The bed

We really enjoyed the resort because it’s peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, with lots of plants and trees. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were tasty, and they could be easily adjusted to suit our preferences. The staff were very kind, often offering tea or coffee, and always ready to help. They were attentive and thoughtful. Even on the day we were leaving, we spent more time in the common areas and they made sure we felt comfortable until the end.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience on our first morning. We had arrived late at night, past midnight, and after breakfast we asked for a pillowcase to be changed. Within a few minutes, a young staff member (the youngest of the team, always dressed in black) came into our villa and changed the pillowcase on my side of the bed. Shortly after he left, I noticed that the 205 AUD I had beside my bed was missing. At first, I thought maybe I had misplaced it or moved it without realising, so we searched everywhere carefully, but it never appeared. I was certain it had been there, as we were preparing to exchange it into local currency that morning. This situation was very upsetting, not only because of the money, which I had saved with effort for our holiday activities, but also because it delayed our plans and, most importantly, made me lose trust in a place that was supposed to feel like our safe and relaxing space in Bali. From that moment, every time we left the villa we locked everything carefully and even took photos of our belongings, because the feeling of security was gone. When my partner spoke to the receptionist, we were told there wasn’t much they could do, and to “trust karma,” which left us even more disappointed. The second issue is the construction going on around the villas. During the day, the noise of cranes and hammering is very noticeable. If you plan to spend most of your time outside exploring, it won’t affect you much, but if you’re expecting to fully relax and rest at the villa during the day, it can be a big disturbance.

Beautiful jungly location away from the noise of the main road. Very quiet, you’d hardly know anyone else was there. Pool great. Stylish and modern but still feels very Balinese. Comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom and outlook. Very kind and helpful staff.

You do have to be aware of the mosquitoes but they supply mosquito spray and mosquito nets so it wasn’t a biggie for us. Location is a bit further back, but there is still a lot in the immediate vicinity.

Great escape from the business of Canggu but still in a great spot. 3-5 min drive / scooter ride from all the good restaurants, cafes, spas etc. Clean, nice pool and friendly staff. Our flight home wasn't until 11:30pm that night and whilst checkout was at 12pm, we were able to hang out in their media room until our flight and use a shower.

Sometimes the cleaning in the room was not done properly and few times I founded hair of previous guests. No hot/warm water in a shower.

Stunning oasis tucked away from the busy streets. It felt like we had the place to ourselves as it was quite private with only a few rooms. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and well organised in advance. Beds were really comfortable, and the blackout curtains meant we got a great sleep in each morning. About a 40 minute walk to echo beach or a short grab/gojek ride by car or scooter.

A little bit of construction nearby but it wouldn't put me off staying here again as the place was amazing and the staff were wonderful.

Easy location to find, super clean and very modern looking. Plenty of spots to take photos. Staff were all so lovely and caring!! Definitely will stay again!

It is such a beautiful resort. The moment you enter you feel calm. The rooms are decorated so elegantly and everything is beautiful. The bathrooms are insta worthy. Best thing is the staff, they are extremely kind and helpful.we rented a scooter thorugh them and had lots of fun exploring. They served afternoon tea which was delicious. The breakfast was also one of the best. We loved this property. And would love to come back. Only one issue was that there were no.cups, plates or spoons and forks in the room which people may need. We asked the butler and he brought them quickly. And the toilet had a flushing issue which should be sorted. Other than that we give it 10/10. Just beautiful and calm. Thank you to the lovely staff.

Best Staff and best people. Always good to come back time and time again

Such a beautiful resort! The room we stayed in was gorgeous! It was quiet, and out of the way enough to give you a secluded feeling, but close enough to everything you need! The staff were the best thing about our stay! They made the experience incredible, they were so acomodatibg and helpful no matter what we asked. My friend who I travels with was really sick for our entire stay and they made her herbal teas with honey, and sent for a doctor when she needed one. They were always checking in to see how she was doing, and they were also heping me by telling me how to get around and what to do during my time exploring Canggu. I would 100% stay here again when I return!

There was some work being done on one of the rooms during our stay, it made the days by the pool a bit noisy, but I don’t really fault them for up keeping the property.

Thank you to the amazing staff at Planta for catering to our needs and exceeding expectations. Your enthusiasm in helping me arrange my husband's milestone birthday is very much appreciated. The organization of the beautiful cake, decorations and bubbles added to the specialness of the day. thank you so very much for making our stay such a memorable one.

This was an absolute dream of a stay! The rooms are stunning and huge, the location is perfect and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any requests. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Canggu!!

There was a noise of construction which make you awake.

The staff were so attentive, helpful and friendly. The resort was beautifully looked after we can’t wait to return the next time we visit Canggu! This is a perfect place to stay for couples.

Staff was amazing

There are constructions around the property, can't even open the windows (room #1). There's no wall between the room and the toilet, so no privacy at all. The yoga is only available at a different property, and there's not shuttle bus to go there.

The resort is very central located but when you enter you don’t hear anything. It’s just you and the nature. Amazing location with an very modern architecture. It is like in the pictures. Dream!

That the bathroom had no window. I know it’s common in Bali but with all the insects and mosquitoes I prefer a closed bathroom.

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful 😍 The bathroom is huge! Nice pool with sunlight most of the day. Very helpful staff. Your pre order breakfast the day before - a nice selection, all of which was very tasty. The location is good as it's set back a bit from the business of the street but within around a 30-minute walk to the beach. On the way you will pass many food places too. There are so many lovely places to eat. In the evening we used taxis just so we didn't have to walk.

The only negative is that the lighting is very dark in the bathroom which the mirror is - if you're a makeup girly, it's tricky.

The peacefulness, the busy streets were a 2 minute walk but at the resort was super peaceful and pleasant. Staff were great and super welcoming. Always kept the resort looking wonderful. Breakfast was delicious aswell

The villa was exceptional, the pictures here didn't do justice. The room we got was so luxurious it was very worth the price we paid for.

Our room was good. It was comfortable. All the staff were terrific - very warm and keen to please.

It is not what I would describe as a 'resort'. The outside flooring between our rooms was very poorly done and I suspect unstable. The fencing was dangerous - a child could fall through it easily to the floor below and swimming pool. Generally poor maintenance of the property.

Nice room, only few rooms in the villa so it make it more private. It is in a very good location and staff is extremely helpful and polite.

The only thing was that the shower head needs to be descaled as the water pressure was very low.

Location is great. Away from main hustle and bustle and set among beautiful trees. The rooms are very stylish and super comfy. We loved the pool and modern chic design.

Breakfast cold, resort in terrible state of repair, tired and old, stains on sofas and curtains, decks broken. Costs is so expensive to stay there and does not meet expectations. Will never stay there again.

We had the most beautiful time staying at Planta Boutique Resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was and bathrooms were very large and comfortable. A very peaceful stay in the most tranquil resort.

The resort is nicely settled in a green oasis. The room is spacious and comfortable albeit a bit dark. The common space is beautifully arranged with a swimming pool, sun beds, sofas, media room, big table, etc. There are only 5 rooms, so there is plenty of private space for everyone. It is very serene and lush green place - just perfect to relax. And the staff is amazing - ask them anything and they will make it happen!! I am definitely coming back!
