Lovely staff, clean and comfortable room, fresh and tasty brekky (love that they male it to order intead of a buffet style to minimise waste), close to the beach and within walking distance to some great eating options. Highly recommend Quint Aessencia for delish brekky, hand made croissants, cottage cheese pancakes or iced matcha late. Pizzaria do carmo peniche for excellent pizza and tasca do joel for simple but tasty seafood (a little pricey but worth it).

The breakfast was so wonderful and homespun. I loved the ambiance and the cool casual vibe. The room had everything I needed and decor perfectly captured the feel of the town. I’ll be back for sure!

Upon arrival in Lisbon, we drove straight to Peniche and discovered this beautiful little B&B. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast and common areas were great. The breakfast is prepared from scratch and throughout our stay, all of the staff was so accommodating.

Had a lovely room with private bathroom. Was very quiet. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. The fresh oranges are AMAZING!!! Quiet area. Good base for day trips further afield.

The Mercearia d’Algeria has an upscale beach surf house vibe. It’s perfect for families as well as couples. Spotlessly clean rooms; unique and European beachy. The room was very comfortable and quiet. There’s a roof top picnic table and seating area which was great for lunch. A multi course breakfast is made to order in the family style dining area. I believe It was originally the owner’s grandparents home and grocery. The decor reflects the heritage and is very tasteful. They have bikes and lots of beach stuff to borrow and parking was easy, on the street. Peniche is a great, picturesque beach town with lots of walkability. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with recommendations. I would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is utterly charming, immaculately clean, and the staff is as kind and helpful as you could imagine. An example would be the fact that one employee reheated our leftovers, set the table and did the dishes for our noon meal. It is so beautifully appointed, with common spaces inside and out that are welcome and inviting. The breakfast is superb. This gem is as nice a place as I’ve ever stayed. Even the candies at the reception were fantastic. Flawless!

Very unique and comfortable place. The bed was perfect for my bad back. The staff of girls were helpful and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. You order from the list of the different foods and drinks. The girls did a wonderful job preparing and serving breakfast.

Ok breakfast and friendly staff

Lovely and charming B and B. Beds are too hard and mattresses need to be replaced. Otherwise room was great. Breakfast is great though the ordering is a bit clunky as only a chalkboard menu so no idea of items or size of portions.

Charming little boutique bed and breakfast. Easy to find (cannot miss the bubble gum pink exterior!), eclectic decor with an eye for detail; enjoyed outdoor sitting areas for sunset cocktails and breakfast, super friendly reception, delicious, made-to-order breakfast, wonderful experience all together!

Casa cómoda con personal muy amable y un buen desayuno. Por desgracia, no creo que esté bien acondicionada para el invierno y, a pesar de que estaba puesta la calefacción, la habitación estaba bastante fría.

Quartos pequenos mas aconchegantes, Cama e chuveiro são ótimos. Wi-fi com sinal muito bom nos quartos. café da manhã maravilhoso com um atendimento excelente. Boa localização.

Excellent petit déjeuner, copieux et bel accueil des hôtesses. Un peu bruyant le soir car il y a une terrasse extérieure qui se trouve à l’entrée des chambres alors tout dépend de vos voisins 😉

The service was excellent, the breakfasts good, the rooms clean. Simple provisions. A bit expensive for what it is. The street lights were brightly lit and street noise was loud (kept windows open as there is no air conditioning) so sleeping was difficult. Shower was broken. But the women who worked there were genuinely kind and accommodating. It felt quite safe as well.

Such generous hospitality, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, even let us borrow their bicycles. Beautiful clean rooms with upcycled decorations and furniture. Loved staying there, will come back asap! Mary n Sophie

Highly recommended! Welcoming and the nicest staff!! We had the family suite which was great. Very clean with plenty of room. Walking distance from different places. You can also use their bikes which were great! Breakfast was very tasty. The whole place is very pleasant, nicely decorated, and welcoming.

Je n'ai qu'un seul mot pour décrire cet endroit : parfait ! En effet, notre séjour s'est parfaitement déroulé. Tout est impeccable et le personnel irréprochable. J'y retournerais les yeux fermés...

The staff was very friendly, the location and breakfast was also nice. The rooms was not especially soundproof though. You could hear almost everything the neighbours said and did.

Great little place. Feels v homely. Breakfasts were great in the little room on the ground floor, I can heartily recommend the scrambled eggs. Nice chill out bay too, which is warm and sunny, great to relax in. Brilliant that they do a free bike hire - and the bikes were super too, they were just great for getting round the headland too. Superb beaches nearby and of course it is often very windy, given its location but that made for great surf. Room was in basement but that was OK, small window, but fine. Clean sheets, v powerful shower, good bathroom. Good value, really enjoyed our stay there.

If you are going to stay in Peniche, I could not recommend this place highly enough. The reception is very quaint and clean, and the rooms are spacious and unique. The breakfast is made for you, and the staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Our check out was at 11am but they watched our stuff and let us take the complimentary bikes out and ride around the island before we left for the day. There is a cute courtyard with storage for surf gear as well as a terrace with covered tables for relaxing. We had an amazing experience staying here.

Estadia agradável, todos muito simpáticos. Pequeno almoço satisfatório. As camas um pouco duras pro meu gosto. Mas estava tudo limpo e bem cuidado. Bem localizado.

This is an excellent B&B. The room we were in was new, clean and spacious. Á very nice member of the staff gave us some really good advice about what to do in town and nearby, what restaurants we should try etc. The breakfast was very good, you can get bikes on loan for free ….

There is no onsite parking here. You have to find a space on the narrow street. The area was okay but not that interesting.

Quartos confortáveis e sempre limpos. O pátio do hotel é muito agradável. Pequeno almoço escolhido e feito na hora, o que o torna mais fresco e evita-se o desperdício. Perto de algumas praias a pé (que infelizmente são vizinhas de uma ETAR que tem um cheiro desagradável), mas a poucos minutos de carro há praias alternativas para se fugir a esse cheiro. Centro com lojas e restaurantes perto o suficiente para se fazer a pé e longe o suficiente para uma estadia calma e silenciosa. Recomendo!

Meidän huone alakerrassa. Ei ilmastointia/ tuuletinta, kuuma nukkua. Huone oli pimeä, verhoja piti pitää kiinni kun ikkunat katutasossa. Wifi toimi huonosti ja oma mobiili netti ei tominut( kellari kerros)Wc koko ajan kostea. Aamupalan sai valita viidestä eri vaihtoehdosta, riittävä. Hotellilla oli 4 omaa pyörää, välillä ruuhkaa pyöristä. Pyörät vanhat mutta pikku lenkin ajoi. Henkilökunta SUPER ystävällisiä.

Så bra tänk med 5 val på frukosten för hållbarhet och klimat. Personligt!

Cozy hotel with excellent managing and very helpful staff. The breakfast with many choices was really good. We loved the bicycles, for free, very useful for a roundtrip. We appreciated the details of the tenovation of an old building into a modern accomodation

The hotel is very cute and well maintaned, with great staff and lovely atmosphere. However, unfortunately we were super disappointed that the hotel advertised itself as an accomodation with SOUNDPROOF rooms, when the walls were paper thin. We could hear everything from the neighbor rooms, even just normal talk, people peeing and having sex. Not very nice. Thus, I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a good night sleep during their vacation.

We roadtriped through portugal and booked this BnB spontaneously. Checked in two hours later with a friendly girl who cleaned the room just before. Room was sweet decorated and clean. We got nice recommendations from the girl at the reception and discovered Peniche. Next morning we enjoyed the great breakfast - available until the evening. You can choose 5 things - we expected small portions but everthing was served generously. We took coffee (cup), orange juice (glas), eggs (scrambled eggs, think 2), toastie (2 double breads filled with cheese and ham) and cake (freshly homemade chocolate cake, big piece). Check out also very easy and friendly. Last but not least - we just payed € 126,00 (on total!) for 4 persons in two seperated rooms including breakfast - yes, it was low season (may) but I never booked a room with that service and quality for such a low price!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom /2bath suite which was very comfortable and perfect for our family of 3 ( 2 adults and 1 teenager) .Breakfast choices were great too. Easy to find street parking( at least off season) .Staff was warm and welcoming. There are not too many dining options nearby . We ended up driving to Tasca do Joel where we had one of our best dinners in Portugal.

This was a really cute guesthouse. The service was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The bicycle provided was a fantastic way of exploring the beautiful peninsula!

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft an guter Lage mit enorm viel Charm und Persönlichkeit. Dazu eine aussergewöhnliche Nähe zu den Gästen, da es auch nicht viele Zimmer gibt. Hier wird die Redensart „klein aber fein“ in die Tat umgesetzt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundlich, hilfsbereite und überaus zuvorkommende Personal, welches unseren Aufenthalt erst recht unvergesslich gemacht hat. Würden wir jederzeit empfehlen.

This cute hotel in Peniche was Awesome! Just stayed for a night, but they gave me a fabulous recommendation for dinner, and made a reservation as well! Best seafood and fish I have ever eaten! Then they let me borrow the bike after checkout to see other parts of the small town!! Just excellent!

We booked a room based on the excellent reviews and nice pictures. The staff at check in was super friendly, explained everything very well and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants (o Pedro). Unfortunately the room was a disappointment, very dark, window straight to pavement of the street, not very cozy. The bathroom was very small but workable, however the shower door broke with first use. The reception staff did their best to have it fixed as soon a possible, which we appreciated. The worst part was the sound proofing. The room was very noisy, impossible to sleep normally before 12am, when the movement inside and outside of the hotel stops. If you are looking for a good night sleep this is not the place to go. The location is great, walking distance everywhere. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, they can prepare breakfast on the go if you need to leave before 8am. Note that there is no allergy information on the menu, better to ask.

Nice and good location. Very friendly and helpful service, good english! Free bikes available to discover the city. Some rooms are on street/half underground level, so you cant leave the windows open to get some fresh air.

Hotel de muito bom gosto - extremamente simpaticos - super seguro

A well designed, situated site that true serves to fully accommodate. Not only is the decor cool but the whole place has soul and character. The facilities are all excellent (beds (sheets/pillows, shower etc) and the breakfast and 'bar' are all so homely you could be staying at a wonderful aunt's home. Well situated and quiet, it really is the best of both worlds (services of a hotel but the feeling of a home). I am fussy and this place 'hit the spot'.

We loved staying here in Peniche. When we arrived we used a couple of free bikes to ride around the entire peninsula. We got a great lunch recommendation from one of the managers! When we got back that night we were a 20min walk away from the main town centre where we got a great meal. The accommodation was clean, the staff were kind and breakfast the next day was generous and fresh. The only thing we would have liked in our room was aircon because it was quite humid to sleep. We would highly recommend booking to stay here for your time in Penich!

Goao the receptionist was very good at fixing our toilet. The bathroom strangely had grey construction bricks, giving it an unfinished look. This place was easy to find and free parking right outside made it nice and easy. I've read how some people didn't like the 'choose 5 items' rule for breakfast but it was ok.

Mercearia d'Alegria Boutique is a little jewel in Peniche. The place is nice, it has a big patio where to chill and chat, the staff is super nice and helpful. The breakfast until 8pm is a must that all places should have. There is free parking all around the B&B and a free rental bike service which is great. My room was big and well furnished, a little bit humid but very clean. I will go back.

Very unique bed and breakfast with a hip and cool vibe. The staff, from arrival to departure, were friendly and professional. Their suggestions were spot on as this was an unplanned and unexpected "side trip" on our way to Porto from the Algarve. Breakfast was full of good variety and plentiful with smiling faces everywhere.

one point for the friendly staff though. nice fotos on website, nice entrance situation. the room shocked us, cellar situation, no lamp just light bulb from ceiling, hair in the sink, bathroom looked rather like a prison situation. on top a stupid rule you may only pick 5 items for breakfast: including coffee, milk, bread... feilt like on a school trip? peniche was a rather bad idea in general, not a charming destination. we left after the first day.

Small and quirky place, we had family room which has 2 rooms both with en suite and plenty of space. Breakfast was pick 5 items from a selection again quirky but scrambled eggs were good, as was fresh orange and it set us up for the day. Helpful staff, would recommend.

Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist süss und erinnert an eine Mischung aus einem Boot und einem alten Laden. Sehr familiär. Das Badezimmer war ziemlich klein und da unser Zimmer im "Keller" war, war die Luft nicht die beste. Allerdings schläft man dafür umso besser, da es nicht so hell ist. :-)

Tråkig "stad" slitet och neddragna fönsterluckor. Extremt fina stränder men synd att det är 16 grader i vattnet. Portugal och många av platserna är råa, slitna, ingen charm alls, bär ett tecken av fattigdom och hopplöshet. Självklart förstår jag varför, 50 års diktatur tar tid att hämta sig ifrån.

Vi hade bara bokat en natt, men det var mycket positivt överlag, framförallt personalen var mycket serviceminded

We stayed one night and found this place that was perfect for the night. Everyone was very accomodating. The decor was industrial and fun. The room clean, but small. Breakfast was great.

Peniche is a delightful resort by the sea. We enjoyed the imaginative restoration of our hotel. It is a joy to behold and even had some delightful whimsical touches.The staff is great and the breakfast was wonderful. However, our room was uncomfortably small and on the lower floor. It was hot! Since it was near the street we couldn't open the windows while we slept if we wanted to feel secure. The room was very uncomfortable without air conditioning. It would seem that a modern Panasonic or Whirlpool air conditioner could solve the problem. I would recommend the hotel to friends but I would encourage them to make sure in advance that they got a room with air conditioning that was an appropriate size for them.

fantastic new built property. Loved the theme, the breakfast and the service. Will definitely stay there again. Although it says continental breakfast, it includes eggs or a toastie as one of the five options you can choose

My room was noisy, dark and had no privacy. Directly on and eye level with the street. Either had to close shutters and sit in dark or have people look directly in, Very overpriced for what was supposed to be a boutique hotel. They seem to have mistaken cheap furnishings for unique. Maybe other rooms are better but this one should not be rented at same price.

We spent our honeymoon there, great young friendly stuff, full with recommendations. They offer bikes for free to get around and enjoyed a bottle of wine in the lovely terrace and we where able to wash our wet suits outside and hang them up in a secure outdoor space. So we will come back most definitely.

Boutique decor, will planned, really nice change from hotels with better services. Beach is close, view are amazing and the have free bikes to bike the level coast line. Loved it.

Hotel is new and very close to the beach this is B&B staff are ok could smile more in the front desk morning ... Becarefull they have room are in half on the ground with a tiny window, My opinion its expensive for what you get , in the season they pack and because of that's they not really care about you... I will try to find a other solution next time I come back to Peniche
