BREAKFAST AND DINNER WERE EXCELLENT
CHEAP TOILET ROLLS NO BATH ROBES TOILET ROLL HOLDER LOOSE
Un excellent petit déjeuner, continental et irlandais, des chambres spacieuses, une bonne literie et un emplacement idéal pour une balade au bord de l'eau. Très bon restaurant.
When asked the lovely receptionist moved us to a room with a view of water
Nothing
I cant rate this Hotel highly enough. The staff were the best around, especially Karol on the bar area, went way beyond and worked his socks off.
We had to leave!!
Great location, staff were absolutely brilliant
breakfast had a great selection.
The breakfast was excellent staff so efficient & breakfast plate & food was hot.
Hotel très propre. Bel emplacement. Personnel très sympathique.
Rien.
Gorgeous views. Convenient location.
Even with an upgrade the room was very average.
Fabulous location and clean
The stay was excellent the staff from arriving till we departed where 1st class the restaurant food was excellent they could not do enough for you great stay will be back.
Nothing
Lovely room. Didn’t have dinner or breakfast, unfortunately.
Nothing!
Breakfast wasn’t the best
Great position to explore this part of the country - lovely staff, excellent breakfast. The seafood offered for dinner was very good. Highly recommended for stay or dining out.
Toilet flush in room 105 was a bit ‘quirky’ - needs some attention, works ok but detracts from otherwise lovely bathroom.
The location.
I've stayed here over a year ago and was a lovely 4-star hotel and very clean, but this time I was so disappointed the cleaning wasn't the best. Windows were really dirty curtains, had a mark on them, and also the net curtains needed washed there were also 2 brown stains on the carpet which looked like rust. We had dinner at the hotel that evening it was lovely, but asked if we would like water, which we said yes 25 minutes later we had to ask for it and the same with our coffees but the morning staff were very good. Plus, I wish I had taken a photo of the back entrance. The glass doors were filthy and absolutely hovered in cobwebs ' loss on how many spiders were in cobwebs. I definitely wasn't 4 stars. They've let the hotel slip.

Great breakfast and location
Everything was perfect. Bed was very comfy, great shower, lovely tasty breakfast.
Everything was perfect.
The hotel and bar staff were amazing.
The receptiinist at check in is rather abrupt. I do not think she means it but she comes across very sharp.
The staff was absolutely incredible, super open, talkative, smiling the whole time, super super super nice!!
The food, the selection was other that big, and whatever I took did not taste the best.
Lovely hotel.. staff are so helpful and friendly.
Nothing
Every facet of this place is excellent: staff is helpful and friendly, room was comfortable and clean, food was fabulous. Location is good for exploring northern Donegal. Highly recommend.
We ate here yesterday evening and had a reasonably nice meal - one recommendation would be to improve on the mash which was plain potatoes with no butter or salt - they were tasteless and the portion originally served was a tablespoon , I had to ask for more .
Very clean and lovely staff very helpful
Small thing, the handwash is too high on wall for smaller ladies, maybe provide additional soap for us shorter ladies
Nice, clean and quieter
The stunning location and views, staff were friendly and attentive, fabulous food. Cannot recommend enough this is our 3rd visit .
I found it strange in the bistro bar when I walked in for food and a drink at 5pm, I was questioned if I was a resident. I said I was and the waitress said I'll have to check if you can stay. Over all on both evenings I felt unwelcome in the bistro bar. I don't know why? Otherwise a nice hotel but I'll not be rushing back
The location and the food
Would like not to have to check out at 11am. Most hotels are 12 noon
Excellent location, two minute walk into the Main Street of dungloe. Ideal for pubs etc. the room was brilliant, very clean. The staff were amazing. The gym is also brilliant, great selection of equipment
Nothing it’s great
Very friendly staff, great food and comfortable rooms.
The staff were fantastic and exceptionally helpful however the rooms are very small, as were the beds. The hotel isn't accessible for wheelchair users at thw front at all and we had to go around and use the back entrance. I have to reiterate though that the staff were excellent.
We had a lovely stay with the waterfront. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. We had dinner and breakfast and couldn't fault a thing The staff at dinner were very friendly and the manager was great fun Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel from the reception, breakfast dinner, and cleaning staff. We have no hesitation in coming back to spend a few days here
The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere in the bar was great. The young bar staff looked like they were enjoying their work which I loved to see
Check in at 4pm and check out at 11.
Obsługa bardzo sympatyczna . Pokoj bardzo czysty .Serwis znakomity.
Cosy hotel with beautiful views.
Excellent choices. My husband enjoyed his stay even though his appetite is really poor .The staff were were very helpful in sorting us out.Fantastic venue .
You seem to employ young people with no experience..I as an ex bartender had to tell some of them how to pour a pint..they were very slow to tidy up and lift glasses. Now the food was excellent staff were pleasant and polite. Now the carpet in the room had a lot of stains on it and the room could be cleaned better especially the bathroom.
Location very scenic and close to town
Property dated. Evening meal starters good although main course very disappointing!!!! The traditional fish and chips did not have nice bit of fish instead 3small pieces obviously pre packed frozen. First restaurant ever to not provide proper piece of fish! Also 10oz sirloin medium rare came out like 5oz well done, say no more!!
We had a very pleasant stay here for three nights midweek in a patio room. We had stayed here once before a few years ago and had a good experience so we knew a little about the hotel. On arrival receptionist was welcoming and we didn't have to wait long to get keys for room. Room was comfortable, clean and ample for our needs, the usual coffee/tea/water provision was provided and when asked for extra coffee/milk there was no problem. Breakfast menu was excellent, we can recommend the porridge, cooked breakfast was excellent with a great choice and all the staff were very friendly, courteous and efficient in the dining area. In general we found all the staff, including cleaners, to be very friendly and all knew their jobs well, even the young girls who appeared to be new and receiving training were an asset to the company. Evening dining was no exception, a good menu, food was excellent (I really enjoyed the chicken curry with rice and chips one evening and my better half Fish and chips) . Unfortunately weather was not good so we were unable to sit out in patio or the picnic tables in front garden of hotel but that was no fault of the hotel's. The hotel has a nice roomy foyer with plenty of seating where you could sit and enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. Oh yes, the bar was well stocked and was very busy on all three nights we stayed midweek. For those of you who have children there is a nice playpark in hotel garden. We will be back even though as a town, there is not much to do or see in Dungloe but on the outskirts there are plenty of attractions.
It’s been 7 years since our last stay and it hasn’t changed a bit. Lovely hotel, great staff and clean and comfortable.
Nothing, loved everything.
Breakfast was lovely. Location excellent could walk into town
The best staff you can ever hope for, typical of Donegal. The food was first class and the room was spotless.
Nothing you could dislike.
Prima kamers en locatie
Restaurant en gehorig en het eten viel wat tegen.
Fantastic hotel and staff
Location
View of the car park
Beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms, excellent staff, and had a wonderful meal in the restaurant . Highly recommend👍
A very late booking on our part (on the day booking) after long drive. Staff couldn’t been friendlier or more helpful in making us instantly feel welcome.
Everything. Location, room, staff, food. It was all excellent and would absolutely go back.
It was our second stay at the Waterfront. Very friendly staff, good rooms and lovely views from the main bar/ dining room. Great base from which to explore this beautiful part of Ireland. I particularly enjoyed the friendly breakfast experience and I appreciate free access to a very well equipped gym. It's a good spot for an evening meal and we were very impressed at how the staff expedited the meals for our hungry young grandchildren.
The hotel was lovely. Room was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. The location was central to Dungloe and had easy access within walking distance to the town centre. My only criticism would be that for breakfast I asked for a boiled egg as I don’t eat fried food, eggs etc. On my last breakfast, check out morning the chef in the kitchen refused to make me a boiled egg. Not a difficult task I’d think. The floor staff were more than apologetic for this and were lovely but this did dampen my experience and reflects in the star rating.
Great location for exploring the area
No negatives
Overall hotel was great. Room clean. No complaints.
Difficult to exit hotel, vision very poor exiting to public road. Staff on reception not very helpful with advice on things to do in locality.
Great location, great value and fantastic food. We were in room 220 at the rear, very clean room. Although I'm 6 ft 2" tall the shower towels need to be a bit bigger quite small or in to tall 😁 all the staff from reception, to bar staff and room attendants all very helpful and pleasant. Location of hotel very good with a nice harbour walk into the village. The weather was fantastic, finally thank you to the reservation team who pulled out all the stops when I made the wrong booking. Thanks again, John&Donna
Beautiful, peaceful location, close to town and beach. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic as was the breakfast!
We ate in the bar bistro last Sunday when our food arrived before our drinks! We are always sceptical when food arrives this quickly and, on this occasion, we were right to be. The chicken strips (4 skinny ones in total) were lukewarm and accompanied by a tiny portion of chips, and the chicken curry portion was so tiny that my husband was still hungry after eating it. We asked for dessert menus and we’re still waiting.,,,,,, Plenty of staff working there but without direction.
hi all i was at the waterfront hotel the in the month of june there not so long ago with myself, beautiful location pitty the staff can’t be as good as the view, got chicken strips for dinner wich may aswell have still had a heartbeat but at that still the room was lovely and smelled nice,
Location and rooms
4pm is a very late check in - should try and offer some flexibility f
Location
The shower in the bedroom was running over the tray onto the floor and it would be a good move to have air on in the bedrooms
The hotel is in a beautiful, scenic location and makes an excellent base for exploring Dungloe and the surrounding area. We had two rooms booked. The first check-in was excellent – warm, friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the second check-in, with a different member of staff, was a completely different experience. The welcome was cold and unhelpful, which was disappointing and not the standard we expected. I'm actually glad I'd already checked into my own room the previous day because, had that been my first impression, it would have put a real dampener on our stay. Sadly, my daughter's experience was affected by this. We also had no internet connection in our room, which was particularly frustrating as I had an online meeting to attend. Thankfully, another member of the reception team was very helpful and did her best to assist, which we appreciated. It's just a pity that the same standard of basic customer service wasn't consistent across the entire reception team.
Clean, comfortable and quiet
Could only stay one night - will be back
We came for two nights b and b Pros Staff super friendly Views for hotel breathtaking Food was lovely and quick service Cons Carpet very dirty in bedroom Very slow drainage in shower, we did mention this but don't know if they looked at the problem. I would like a special mention for Justin in the bar who was a great friendy barman who when over and above
The staff were polite and efficient, the rooms were clean and freshly decorated, the evening meals were outstanding and staff although busy managed exceptionally well. The views out the front of the hotel were really beautiful. Really convenient to places we wanted to visit.
Breakfast was just okay, compared to the evening meals this is where we felt it was let down a little. Not a great selection, for example 1 type of yoghurt (plain), white/brown bread and wheaten with some small pastries. Overly salty black/white pudding, bacon not well cooked (still had the white scum on it) Overall compared to other similarly priced hotels the breakfast let it down. It would be nice to see more selection, maybe pancake machine or omelettes, and things cooked a bit nicer. Also would have been nice to serve yourself instead of staff serving you then you could pick your own items. Another note is during the night room doors slamming constantly so maybe would suggest night staff doing a floor walk to keep an eye on things and keep things quiet. View from room info the car park and it could get a little.noisy especially when people on motorbikes drove up and continued to keep their engines running for a while, although this isn't the hotels fault.
LOVLEY hotels LOVLEY staff LOVLEY food can't fault it but one thing I Was disappointed about for a four Star hotel was the bathroom in our room 204 was the smell and the shower tray covered with black mould all around the TRAY AND BLACK MOULD ON THE CEILING THE TOILET BOWL WAS LOOSE AND THE SMELL Was bad a pity Because everything else was great
