Sweeney's Hotel 2020 Limited

Location and quality of hotel

Breakfast and staff member who did not return to me about dinner arrangements so belatedly had to go elsewhere

Friendly staff. Excellent food.

Small bed

Clean tidy and good location

Staff inexperienced as asked for a second cup of coffee which I did not get had to ask for poached eggs not on breakfast plate think the server was very young and clearly did not take the breakfast order done right ,on second evening when arriving back to hotel we could not get in as I tried to phone and for some reason I couldn’t get through?? Which left us no other option than to bang the front door really hard supposedly 24 hour reception staff on eventually arriving to let us in after 25-35 minutes not good enough need a door bell or a key for front of hotel bad experience.

The breakfast were great.

The breakfast was very slow to come out. There was a couple of guests who did complain. Ours took 45 mins to come out

Nulla da dire. Struttura pulita, ottima colazione, staff simpatico cordiale e gentile!

Hotel was beautiful. Newly refurbished. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't fault it. Plus the breakfast was first class. All staff were pleasant and helpful.

Lovely hotel. Very modern room and fabulous bathroom. Everywhere very clean.

Cooked food was nice enough for buffet style. They seemed to have run out of pastries/croissants though!

Croissants not available. Only spotted there were some on the way out Parking directions could have been given previous to arriving.

Lovely hotel, food abd staff were nice

Neues top renoviertes Haus, alles sehr sauber, Personal extrem freundlich

Great location very clean. Lovely staff.

Could do with a wardrobe and a full length mirror in the room.

Rien

Excellent location in the centre of Dungloe. Car parking is available on the street and also in a carpark at the rear. The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and provides everything one needs. The food for both dinner and the included breakfast was delicious.

My only little gripe is the bedroom showers, which were powerful and hot, were overhead with no hand held option and no shower cap.

Food, top class, lovely dinner and breakfast. All staff so friendly and helpful.

All good,no negatives.

Nice decor, comfy bed, spotlessly clean, complimentary water every day. Central location

Signage would be helpful at the rear of hotel for car parking, to indicate Sweenys parking area.

The friendly staff also tasty food

Nothing

Great staff, well located, excellent facilities and very cosy

Le confort des chambres, propriété.

Le petit déjeuner ….. Buffet dévalisé et pas remplis…. I was told When it’s gone it’s gone

The courtyard and bakery was a nice environment to enjoy a coffee or lunch. The decor was bright and modern in the reception areas and the room was beautifully furnished.Staff were friendly and helpful

The seating in the Daniel suite was uncomfortable to relax in or watch the TV.

Location was very central and staff were extremely helpful, especially with a taxi and assisting with storage of our bikes.

It is quite akward to get from Hotel car park to the hotel with luggage, although great to have a car park. There is not always space to pull up outside, especially as we had bikes.

Lovely helpful, friendly staff particularly Edel and Dasha.

We had a lovely meal, we both ordered the same dishes yet only 1 arrived and I was finished my meal which was delicious by the time the other meal arrived

Interni curati e rinnovati Silenzioso Colazione abbondante

Comfortable

Food was just ok.

Staff were amazing, I made a mistake on booking and it was sorted without any fuss whatsoever 😊wish I had gotten the name of the girl at reception. She was so helpful. Had dinner there and the food was delicious. Best surf and turf ever. Would definitely book again for a longer stay.

Nothing whatsoever 👍🏼

Everything Staff so helpful and friendly Rooms perfect Food amazing Better than some 5*

Zero

Tres accueillant, chambre spacieuse.

Lovely location! Friendly (Yorkshire!) lady on reception and nice eateries available on site. Big bedroom and excellent bathroom.

Excellent location on the main street of Dungloe. Beautiful decor. Fantastic breakfast.

Nice property, friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Everything was perfect. The staff were most pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent! Beds very comfortable, rooms clean & spacious. We had a lovely stay and would return! Was impressed by the lovely quality shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom, very nice touch!

Lovely friendly recepionist Room very clean bed very comfortable Excellent breakfast I would visit this hotel again

The location was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Delicious food.

Nothing

We were visiting from the US and were told by local friends and families that Sweeneys had been refurbished. We were so pleasantly surprised with the charm of the hotel, rooms and dining facilities. It is a beautiful hotel located centrally in the town. We had a lovely stay and hope to come back again

We did not experience anything that needed immediate improvement. One thing that would have been nice is for there to have been furniture on our terrace. Maybe a table and chairs? I know we were there in unusually warm weather so maybe outdoor furniture is not a usual request but it would have been nice for this occasion and the lovely weather we experienced

Centre of town. Lovely rooms. Great restaurant

Room was excellent, food was great, staff were very friendly

No air conditioning in the room

Tolles Hotel!

Everything

The hotel manager Jack was very accommodating and Ashling was a lovely helpful girl who went out out her way to help us. The food was lovely. The Margo suite was gorgeous , so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

Room needs a full length mirror 😉

Everything

Nothing

The service and the food was great.

The green light in the bedroom was very bright and kept us awake

The staff were helpful, breakfast was nice. Great bathroom/ shower. Comfy bed. Air con was good. Toilets down stairs by reception are nicely decorated and clean.

The cigarette butts all over the steps outside, missing lightbulbs 💡 in the corridors, very thin walls- I could hear every word from next door. The lack of warmth and detail in corridors upstairs, some plants/ flowers on the tables or mirrors… there was a travel cot just sitting in the stairs… maybe some cushions and throws on the tired sofa. This place has STACKS of potential.

Modernised hotel with great facilities in an excellent location to explore Donegal. The breakfast and evening meals were very good and the pizza and steak nights were really good and excellent value. Air con in warmer weather really helps - the staff were always very helpful. Great place to explore the area - Tramore Strand was an amazing deserted beach - Glenveagh and Slieve Liege also great

Nothing

Food was excellent, great value steak night and dinner choices were very good , vegetarian options too.

Nothing needs changed

Traditional building with modern facilities.

The food was great, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had problems with the hot water in our room and got upgraded to a suite. Everyone was gracious and easy going, and we really enjoyed our time here.

Immaculate rooms, bright, modern and well designed rooms and restaurant

Nothing to complain of, everything is fantastic

Recently remodeled, very clean, great location, great breakfast. Very nice room. I hope to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

The pillows were hard.

Beautiful hotel Friendly staff Comfy bed Fabulous breakfast

Fridge in the room

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, very clean rooms, and the hotel itself was spotless. We had a delicious breakfast the next morning before we left . Great value for money and an excellent location close to everything in Dungloe. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again

Large modern room -clean

Staff were untrained and lacked direction Poor English speaker took orders at breakfast and everyone had to repeat their order and still didn’t get what they requested Check in staff could not find the room and told when I arrived that the hotel was full Lights not working in the stairs to the bedroom floor and no comment made Staff did not know where there was a working ev charger
