Super gepflegte Anlage! Traumstrand, menschenleer Super Infinity Pool mit Blick zum Strand.von daher nicht so schlimm dass man im Meer im September nicht schwimmen kann aufgrund Wellen und Strömungen.

Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Zeit. Das Hotel ist super schön und das Frühstück und Abendessen sehr gut. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und umsorgt. Es ist sehr sehr ruhig dort und man kann sich hervorragend erholen.

Se state cercando una fuga dal caos e dalle località marittime più gettonate, Lanka Beach fa assolutamente al caso vostro! Siamo rimasti incantati da questo resort. Tutto è come dovrebbe essere: il suono delle onde in sottofondo, una piscina vista oceano, spiaggia immensa e deserta. Il bungalow dispone di tutto il necessario (mini-frigo, cassaforte, armadio, phon, aria condizionata) e il letto è molto comodo. Il personale è gentilissimo e attento alla cura della struttura in ogni sua minima parte. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo inconveniente con l'acqua calda nella doccia ma è stato prontamente risolto in pochissime ore. Rispetto alle varie strutture in cui abbiamo soggiornato durante il nostro viaggio in Sri Lanka, qui si ha la possibilità di scegliere la tipologia di colazione che si desidera. Ottima cosa, per variare un po'! Ottimo anche il ristorante.

We booked this last minute. The rooms were really nice & very comfortable. Right on the beach front so gorgeous location. Super quiet area so we decided to have a meal at the hotel & it was delicious. The staff were super friendly & helpful.

Nothing really but the location was a little quiet for us but that is just personal preference rather than anything negative about the hotel.

Prachtige locatie!! Fijne ligbedden bij het zwembad en ruime kamer. Ook fijn om een zitje te hebben bij de kamer.

Het eten was niet geweldig en helaas waren de gordijnen niet verduisterend dus je wordt vroeg wakker

Die Lage ist einfach der Wahnsinn! Direkt am Strand, der verhältnismäßig leer ist und wunderschön. Klar, es ist ab vom Schuss - aber das sucht man hier ja auch. Und es gibt Tuktuk-Fahrer, die einen bei Bedarf auch zum nächsten Dorf bringen. Zur Entspannung Hammer! Auch das Personal ist super nett, die Zimmer sehr schön!

Prachtige plek direct aan zee, erg genoten. Vanwege de oorlog was het er lekker rustig en was het strand bijna leeg. Fijn vertoeven na toerisrosche deel van Sri Lanka. Zeker een aanrader!

We stayed here for five nights having done a few nights in budget accommodation as we travelled from Kandy to here. The location isn't really within walking distance of a town (and we are walkers!) which we were worried on arrival would be a problem, but due to the quality of the hotel, it wasn't at all. Our room was actually a bungalow, inclusive of sufficient storage, a good size ensuite and an outdoor shower which was both hot and powerful (although there's nothing quite like being eye-balled by a gecko or small snake when you're starkers under the sky). The bungalow was clean and serviced every day and very peaceful at night (you can hear the waves from the sea!). One of the best things about this accommodation was the food. Although we'd only booked for B&B, we ended up eating here every night because the quality was so good, both the breakfast and the dinner! There are options nearby though (along the beach or track that leads to the hotel). The location of the bungalow gave direct access to a sandy beach. The sand was clean and soft and the beach sparse of people. Local fishermen landed here and tourists often went to help, which was nice! Akin to elsewhere in Sri Lanka, the one downside was the number of dogs but they showed no interest in tourists. It is possible to swim in the sea if you are a confident swimmer. It's lovely to hear the sea from the bungalow and restaurant though!

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Baden im Meer ist durchaus sportlich, wer das mit den Wellen mag hat Spaß. Ansonsten gibt es einen sehr schönen Pool. Die Anlage insgesamt ist sehr gepflegt, viele wunderschöne Kokospalmen. Die Bungalows sind zweckmäßig und großzügig eingerichtet. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Gutes Restaurant.

Da fällt uns nichts ein. Der Himmel von dem Mückennetz über dem Bett sollte mal gereinigt werden.

Anlage Service Freundlichkeit

Direkt am Strand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Das Team organisiert auch Fahrten nach Ella, etc. Unser privater Fahrer war top. Vielen Dank.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick in der Villa: tolles Boutique Hotel in Traumlage zum Strand. Gute Schwimmer gehen morgen und abends in den Ozean, ansonsten gibt es 2 schöne Pools. Villa und Zimmer dort sehr edel, großer Balkon, sehr ruhig. Regionaler Transport mit TucTuc völlig unproblematisch, Restaurant bei sehr gutem YPreis-/ Leistungsverhältnis großartig. Sehr freundliches Servicepersonal.

Heerlijk resort met een mooi zwembad en een privéstrandje. Onze kamer was mooi en ruim, met een ruime badkamer en een groot eigen balkon. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel en een goed ontbijt. Let er wel op dat je vooraf moet aangeven of je de kamer wilt laten schoonmaken; dat kan dagelijks.

To miejsce jest po prostu przepiękne 🌸 Pokoje, przynajmniej te w willi na piętrze z widokiem na ocean, robią ogromne wrażenie – widoki zapierają dech w piersiach. Plaża cudowna, kameralna i niemal pusta – tylko sporadycznie ktoś przechodził, co dawało poczucie prywatności i prawdziwego relaksu 🌴🥥 Śniadania i obiady bardzo smaczne, wszystko świeże. Dodatkowym atutem są baseny, które pozwalają jeszcze bardziej cieszyć się pobytem. Personel przemiły, zawsze uśmiechnięty i pomocny. To miejsce ma wyjątkowy klimat – zdecydowanie polecamy!

Pizza w restauracji zwykła beznadziejna mrożonka. Hotel na kompletnym odludziu, co dla nas było rewelacyjnym trzydniowym odpoczynkiem po intensywnym zwiedzaniu wyspy. Jednak na dłuższy okres by mi się nudziło. Przydały by się jakieś deski do zabawy na falach jak w sąsiednim hotelu.

Wunderschön gelegen direkt am Strand mit ausreichend großem, sehr gut gepflegten Pool. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und an einem Abend haben wir auch einen sehr guten Thunfisch gegessen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Nachdem es schon in einer Bewertung vor 2 Jahren erwähnt wurde, könnte die Pool-Einstiegsstange wirklich einmal befestigt werden… Ein bißchen störend die eigentlich nicht korrekten 3% Kreditkarten-„Gebühr“.

Direkt an einem wirklich sauberen, wunderschönen Strand gelegen, mit tollem Zimmer, 2 Pools und hervorragendem Restaurant. Für uns eine der besten Lokation in Sri Lanka( und wir waren eigentlich überall).

Ich kann die vielen guten Bewertungen leider überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Die Anlage machte erst einen schönen Eindruck. Das Hotel ist jedoch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Hier wird Geld verdient und nichts investiert: - Mich hat fast der Schlag getroffen als ich die Klobrille unserer Toilette gesehen habe. Ich habe darum gebraten, dass man diese austauscht, was am nächsten Tag dann auch gemacht wurde. Ebenso wurde eine Scheibe zwischen Bad und der Außendusche eingesetzt, da diese gefehlt hat und Insekten rein gekrabbelt sind. Ich frage mich nur, warum man das nicht vorher macht, das man man niemanden zumuten. - Die Armaturen sollten ausgetauscht werden. - Der Handlauf in den Pool ist nur an einer Seite fest, also total wackelig. - Der Maschendrahtzaun zum Nachbarhotel und zum Strand ist nicht schön. - Zimmer werden nur alle 2 Tage gereinigt, nicht mal gefragt, ob das gemacht werden soll. - Preis für das Zimmer ist zu hoch für das, was man bekommt. Wir waren auch nur zweimal hier essen. Es gibt viel bessere Restaurants in der Nähe. Der Service muss beigebracht bekommen, wie man Cocktails macht, wenn sie auf der Karte stehen. Der Manager des Hotels sollte viel präsenter sein und sich um seine Gäste kümmern, es reicht nicht jeden Tag einmal kurz vorbei zu schauen und unfreundlich zu gucken.

Anlage liegt weit außerhalb eines Dorfes, daher Verkehrsmittel (Auto, Taxi, Tuktuk) notwendig die Zufahrtsstraße könnte einmal repariert oder asphaltiert werden aber diese Forderungen sind natürlich außerhalb der Möglichkeiten des Resorts

Four nights good length of stay. There is no local town near.

Une plage sauvage et magnifique préservée des touristes. Les pêcheurs et leurs bateaux. La gentillesse du personnel. Une cuisine à base de poissons et fruits de mer excellente et abordable. Un bon petit déjeuner.

Baignade uniquement réservée aux très bons nageurs à cause des vagues puissantes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay very much. It is a lovely little resort right by the sea with only 6 bungalows - directly on the beach , the bungalows are spacious, modern and equipped with everything you need. Fast internet. Great garden with many flowers. The food in the restaurant is very good. There is a wide selection of dishes and the staff go out of their way to fulfill your every wish. The breakfast is included and offers many choices. Good barista coffees ! We particulary liked the beautiful and sandy beach, to swim in the sea and go for long beach walks; there are only a few other small resorts at the beach so it is never crowded like many other places, we sure will come back.

Tolle Unterkunft, die sehr sauber, großzügig ausgestattet und in einer ruhigen Lage ist. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant (Blue Dolphin) war echt klasse. Auch der Pool war sehr sauber und groß.

Très bel hôtel, bien situé. Environnement très calme, impossible de se baigner dans la mer mais la piscine est très agréable. Petits déjeuners et repas copieux et très bons. Le personnel est super souriant et très agréable. Nous avons passé 2 très bonnes nuits.

The hotel was very relaxing right on the beach, staff very friendly, food was enjoyable and tasty.

La struttura è molto accogliente. Abbiamo trascorso 6 notti in questo albergo. Camera molto spaziosa con grande balcone in fronte al mare. Ristorante ottimo. Personale eccellente e sempre disponibile. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono. Bellissime camminate sulla spiaggia.

La struttura va bene per chi cerca relax e distacco dalla città. Tangalle si raggiunge con 25 minuti di Tuk Tuk. Difficile nuotare a causa delle onde forti e sempre presenti. Nella nostra camera non funzionava l'aria condizionata, ma con le pale sopra il letto si stava molto bene. Accessori in bagno un po' limitati.

Un très beau bungalow au calme avec une belle piscine et un accès direct à une belle plage quasiment déserte où on voit les pêcheurs remonter leurs filets (on peut même les aider). Attention tout de même mer dangereuse. Personnel extrêmement gentil et disponible. Demandez leur d’organiser une sortie nocturne pour aller voir les tortues pondre c’est juste à côté. Très bonne nourriture et excellents petits déjeuner.

Loin du centre et de l’animation mais c’est ce qu’on apprécie

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Only beaches or just a few hotels around, so it was never crowded. The staff was great, and we even had our cocktails served directly on the beach. The beach itself was beautiful, and the swimming pool was also very nice. With not too many rooms, the atmosphere felt calm and relaxed. Along the road, there are good local family-owned restaurants and an Ayurveda spa where we enjoyed an excellent 90-minute massage. We truly loved this place. It was easy, relaxing, with beautiful views and stunning sunsets. Highly recommended.

Hadn't appreciated that the beach wasn't safe to swim at, nor the distance from Tangalle before we booked.

Ładne przestronne pokoje i łazienka. Tuż przy pięknej plaży, dużo dostępnych leżaków pod palmami. Ładny basen.

Śniadanie mogłoby być bardziej urozmaicone, niby jest kilka opcji do wyboru ale było to jedne z gorszych śniadań na Sri lance. Restauracja serwuje przeciętne dania i dość drogie, na szczęcie tuż obok jest super restauracja Priya Moon Cafe z pysznymi rybami i owocami morza w dobrej cenie.

Im Restaurant gibt es sehr gute Speisen! Zum Frühstück konnte aus 6 Menüs gewählt werden, die hervorragend waren. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und nett! Wir mochten den gepflegten Pool und das Meer vor der Anlage. Von hieraus sind Strandspaziergänge sehr fein. Um ins Meer zu gelangen, war es notwendig große Wellen zu überwinden, danach war es sehr fein zu schwimmen und sich im Wasser treiben zu lassen. Umliegend gibt es sehr gute Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. Mit dem Tuktuk (pickme) kommt man auch z.B. nach Tangalle oder Ranna

In den ersten 2 Tagen, gab es leider keine Zimmerreinigung. Wir haben darauf hin gewiesen, dann war es täglich, wie un der Buchung beschrieben.

Beautiful Boutique style resort with 6 bungalows right on the lonely beach in Rekawa, no beach vendors like everywhere else where I stayed in Sri Lanka. Spotless clean room, comfy beds and a fast wifi Internet ( I have to work a bit while in vacation...) Food in theie Blue Dolphin restaurant is incredible - fresh seafood each day and also Pizza... Staff very nice and helpful. Very quiet loation and a beautiful garden and big pool. Sure we will return !

Price/quality really amazing stay! We were lucky to have a bungalow with side seaview. The pool with seaview was so lovely. Food was really good, both breakfast (loved the pancakes!) as dinner. Highly recommend. We would go back without a doubt.

Location is superb. Ocean is quite close, you can literally hear the constant roar of the waves. However the waves were large during our stay, which made swimming in the ocean impossible. But the swimming pool is excellent. The restaurant on the spot is good, there's no need to go somewhere else for dining. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property right on the lonely, sandy beach. Only 6 bungalows a great swimming pool and a restaurant with phantastic dishes. Fresh seafood every day. Must try the seafood platter. Also their pizzas are great. All staff is lovely, very helpful guys.... Have already booked here again for May. a clear recommendation

We spent 4 nights at Lanka Beach Bungalows in the Papaya Villa (No. 5), a spacious and beautifully appointed two-story villa right in the heart of this small boutique property. If you're looking for a quiet, uncrowded beach spot on Sri Lanka's south coast, this German-owned resort delivers in spades – but our stay was marred by a couple of frustrating issues that prevented it from being perfect. The Good: Staff: Absolutely outstanding. The team was warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome., nothing seemed too much trouble. The German owners (Hans and Barbara) create a friendly, hands-on atmosphere, and the local staff are genuinely lovely. Location & Beach Access: This is the standout feature. Direct access through a gate from the property lead to a stunning, almost deserted stretch of beach – we often had kilometers of golden sand entirely to ourselves. Perfect for long walks or just listening to the waves. The sea is too rough for safe swimming most of the time, but that's common on this coast. Pool: Gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Clean, refreshing, and never crowded (there are only a handful of bungalows/villas). Food (Half-Board): We opted for half-board and were very happy. Breakfast was fresh and varied (fruits, eggs, smoothies), and dinners were excellent – a good mix of Sri Lankan curries and Western options, with generous portions and fresh seafood. The Villa Itself: Papaya (No. 5) was lovely – airy, modern, with a nice bedroom, plenty of space, a nice balcony, and tasteful decor. Air-con worked well.

The Not-So-Good: Sewerage Smell: This was the biggest downside and really put a damper on things. A few times a day (often in the evening or early morning), a strong sewer smell wafted through the villa and bathroom. It was extremely off-putting and lingered for 10–20 minutes at a time which persisted throughout our stay. No Hot Water: For all four nights, the showers were lukewarm at best – often just cold. In a boutique property at this price point, reliable hot water should be a given, especially after a day at the beach. Drinks Prices: Cocktails and beers at the bar were noticeably expensive compared to elsewhere in Sri Lanka. Luckily, there's a small cafe/restaurant just a short walk down the beach where everything was about half the price and perfectly pleasant. Guest Demographic: Because it's German-owned and popular with German/European travelers, the property felt very "German" during our stay – all guests were German, and conversations/meals had that vibe. Not a problem if that's your scene, but worth noting if you're looking for a more international mix. In summary, Lanka Beach Bungalows is a hidden gem for anyone craving peace, privacy, and a pristine (empty!) beach. The staff, setting, pool, and half-board dining are all top-notch, and we'd have rated it 4.5–5 stars if not for the persistent sewer smell and lack of hot water. Those issues seem fixable, so hopefully they've been addressed since our visit. If you're okay with a remote, relaxed spot and don't mind popping 10 minutes down the road for cheaper drinks (They also do great Italian coffee and Coconut pancakes) it's still well worth considering – just maybe check recent reviews for those specific niggles!

The pool was actually very good and plenty of cool beers to chill away the later afternoon. The view of the ocean also great when exit the sea side gate. Food at the restaurant was OK but could support a more extensive menu/options especially if staying multiple nights.

During a rain storm, the roof leaked and ended up with a large puddle in the bedroom and water splatter on luggage. Bathroom in dire need of renovation and had to spray for ants on multiple occasions. For some reason one of the lights in the bathroom kept dying. When trying to enter property at sundown, after repeatedly ringing the bell, nobody came, so needed to resort to sliding credit card in the door to push up the lever to open the gate. Getting a tuk tuk into town a nightmare unless book ahead - the road is potholed and unsealed and a bit of a walk to a main road to hail a ride. Over all, the resort requires a serious do over to bring up the amenities which are aging.

Our stay at Lanka Beach Boutique Bungalows was truly unforgettable. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable, the resort’s garden was absolutely spotless, and the pool was beautifully located right on the beach. The beach itself was pristine, wild, and almost completely private – a rare paradise. 🌴 What impressed us the most was the food at their restaurant: simply phenomenal, with the highlight being the seafood & fish platter, which was among the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. A perfect place for those who want peace, authenticity, and the beauty of Tangalle at its finest.

Unterkunft: Sehr schöne Bungalows mit großem Bad. Alles sehr sauber. Verpflegung: es gibt verschiedene Frühstücksvarianten für europäische und asiatische Geschmäcker. Absolut hervorzuheben ist der hervorragende Koch,, der das Restaurant wirklich noch einmal auf ein gehobenes Niveau hebt. Vielen Dank nochmals für das hervorragende Essen. Für Sri Lanka nicht ganz billig (circa 8-9 Euro), aber es ist jeden Cent wert! Lage: die Unterkunft liegt direkt am wunderschönen Kilometer langen Sandstrand. In die nächste Ortschaft sind es rund 5 km, wir haben uns Fahrräder in der Unterkunft geliehen und einen netten Ausflug gemacht. Circa 10 Minuten zu Fuß gibt es auch kleine Läden, in denen man sich ein wenig versorgen kann. Personal: super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei einem kleinen gesundheitlichen Notfall waren sie sofort zur Stelle und haben bestmöglich geholfen und unterstützt.

Perhaps to sweep the villa’s porch once a day to get all the sand away, that’s my only recommendation! Not a bad thing, but there’s nothing around really in terms of many restaurants cafes etc, the area is still under developed (not a problem for us, it was so peaceful!)

The Lanka Beach Boutique Bungalows & Villa is a piece of heaven on earth. Everything is brand new, squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. The staff is incredibly friendly and the on-site restaurant outstanding, at very reasonable prices. You can have fresh seafood, for example mahi mahi with steamed veg and potato mash, for 8 £. And, best of all, you can have one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful beaches all to yourself. It is a place where green sea turtles nest so the natural environment is still unspoilt. Bottom line: this is a place off the beaten path, a refuge, calm and relaxing. Excellent value for the money! One of the most amazing places I have ever had the pleasure to visit.

Quiet location right on the beach, very clean beach, no one on it, although big waves. Super nice pool, no music just sound of sea and birds perfect place to relax after travelling around sri lanka. Good hot shower! Nice restaurant in a walking distance

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! • The location is very quiet, near the end of the beach, on a peaceful road with no traffic. The hotel is directly on the beach, which is perfect. • The rooms are very spacious, modern, and extremely clean. Each room has a terrace or balcony. • The bathroom was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka—new, well-equipped, with hot water and great water pressure. • The staff was incredibly friendly, always helpful, and very welcoming. • The food was excellent! There was a big breakfast selection every day, and a large menu for dinner. You can order food at any time, and everything is freshly prepared. • The price-performance ratio was very good. • The pool was clean and perfect for swimming. The ocean was also great for swimming, with only moderate waves. The beach was very clean, with no stones in the sand. • The whole area is fenced, so no animals can enter. • The bed was very comfortable, and everything was spotless. • The hotel manager even helped us organize a driver for our next destination.

A bit pricy, but worth it! The staff is friendly, the room was very spacious and comfortable. There are various restaurants and attractions in the area (the lagoon tour is worth getting up early for).

Everything was exceptional, I actually work in hospitality and even I was shocked about how brilliant everything was. It was a perfect start to my travels where I could just chill out and recharge my batteries

Off the beaten track but worth the journey. So sorry we couldn’t stay longer as it was booked for the dates we wanted. Pool was clean and well looked after. The food was amazing
