Reviewed Jul 15, 2026It was perfect for a night over on our way to Ado elephant park. We had a very pleasant stay, it was clean and beds were comfy with nice linen, we had a lovely breakfast. Manager was super friendly and helpful. We felt welcome. Area felt safe, room was warm with electric blankets and heater. At a walking distance to a variety of restaurants.
Shower lacked a bit of pressure but they do have water pressure issues in Colsberg at times.

Staff members are respectful while the breakfast is just what a person needs after an overnight stopover. Any South African will find themself at home with local options on hand for supper that's delivered to your room and for those who indulge in the complimentary supplies hotel's try their utmost to cheat you... These people don't skimp on anything in your room. There's not an item you'd need more to stay over here. Very accommodating family rooms that I must say could sleep a large family of 6 with ease. What you need is what they got, well worth every penny.
Parking bays are quite limited to the amount of people the property can accommodate, the hosts go to a great extent to overcome this. It's just how the properties that still stand from a era long gone were built, it would be shame to change this to favor a few extra parking bays... Couldn't say for a moment this detracts from the historical victorian hold it once was, exceptionally well kept.

Car park lights shine straight int the bedrooms, blockout curtains should be hung. There is a pump going off all night from an adjacent building which sounds like a lawnmower every 7minutes. Main bedroom ceiling fan did no work so the mosquitoes had a field day.
