A lovely two-week stay at Johannes Boutique Apartments & Suites We have just spent two very enjoyable weeks at Johannes Boutique Apartments & Suites in Afantou, Rhodes, and were very impressed with the whole complex. The apartments are spacious and very well laid out, with lovely well-kept gardens. There is a beautiful main swimming pool as well as a separate children’s pool, and even a small gym for those who want to keep active while on holiday. Our apartment was clean, comfortable and well serviced throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and offered a good choice of both hot and cold food, which set us up nicely for the day. On two evenings the hotel put on a fantastic BBQ feast and a Greek kitchen evening. Both were excellent and, importantly, were offered at a very reasonable price. They also offer car hire, which is another useful service for anyone wanting to explore more of Rhodes. What really made our stay special, though, was the friendliness of the owner and all the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and genuinely interested in their guests. We enjoyed getting to know them and there was a lovely mix of nationalities among the guests, creating a very friendly atmosphere. Overall, Johannes offers a spacious, relaxed and well-maintained base with excellent facilities, good food and, above all, wonderful hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here and would have no hesitation in recommending Johannes Boutique Apartments & Suites to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Afantou. We would certainly consider coming back.

Everything was wonderful. The common pool was of great size and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed. The interior as well as the exterior was well maintained and extremely clean. Breakkfast was good and the owners were attentive to my request for vegan yogurt. We stayed in the family suite which was spacios and had the facilities for cooking. Mika, the owner, went far and biond to help us surprise our kids who celevlbrated their Birthdays during our stay. Truly appreciated! The hotel is 10 minutes from the water park, 12 mins from Tsambika beach and 30 mins from Rhodus city and Lindos.

The only minor thing was a missing remote control to one of three T.Vs in our room. The private pool in the family suite is s Jacuzzi size. We only used it to cool down. But the common pool was so great - we enjoyed that instead.

We stayed in the Family Suite at Johannes and really enjoyed our stay. Although we were only four people, the suite was very spacious, featuring two separate bedrooms and ample room to comfortably accommodate six or even more guests. The family running the hotel are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was easy and hassle-free throughout our stay. The premises are very well maintained, and the location is excellent for exploring this part of the island.

We had such a lovely stay! The rooms were beautiful and very clean, and we absolutely loved the pool. The owners and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was spotless and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay.

Absolutely everything, I cannot put into words how wonderful the family who run this hotel are. We ended up having to move from our original hotel due to an abundance of concerns and we truly could not have found a better place. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make the stay the best it could be, I asked at the bar for an ice-cream one day for example and they do not sell them but he gave us one from the staff stash. All the staff seem’d genuinely happy to be there which speaks volumes from the management. The facilities are some of the cleanest and most well maintained I have ever seen in a hotel and I travel a lot. A tiny bit of tile had came up on the floor and they had a maintenance man there fixing it almost immediately. The rooms were modern and cleaned daily. One thing that I absolutely loved was the fabric softener they used on the lining/towels, a really random thing to pick up on but it was again an example of how they got the extra mile to make it perfect. I really cannot explain how much I loved this place, having came from a scary start to the holiday this place felt like paradise. I will 1000% be staying again when I visit Rhodes again.

It is not really a downside but the location is a bit out of the way so just be prepared to use Taxi’s or rent a car.

Le petit déjeuner est super, la chambre était faite tout les jours, draps et serviettes de toilettes étaient changés régulièrement. Le père et le fils font tout pour que l on se sente bien. C’est la troisième fois que nous y allons et on y retournerait .

We had a wonderful stay at Johannes Boutique in Rhodes and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The suite apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with soft, comfortable beds that made it easy to relax and sleep well. The whole property and the area surrounding the apartments were beautiful, peaceful, and full of lovely green trees, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. A special mention goes to Stamatis, the owner, who was incredibly hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. His warm and genuine hospitality really made our stay feel special. The breakfast was also very nice, with everything we needed for a great start to the day. Overall, Johannes Boutique was a fantastic choice for our stay in Rhodes. Beautiful surroundings, a lovely apartment, great breakfast, comfortable beds, and above all, wonderful hospitality. We would happily stay here again!

Tout est encore plus beau en vrai qu'en photos... cet hôtel cochait toutes nos exigences sur le papier, et sur place tout était parfait : l'insonorisation des chambres, les moustiquaires aux fenêtres, la literie, la propreté, le calme, le cadre. Un établissement à taille humaine où l'on s'y sent comme en famille. Tout est sublime, et le personnel très agréable. Proximité immédiate d'un supermarché, route en contrebas mais sans nuisances sonores. Situation sur l'île idéale pour accéder à tous les points d'intérêt en moins d'une heure partout ! Nous espérons avoir l'occasion de revenir, dans notre logement 2 chambres (n°31).

S'il faut impérativement noter quelque chose : le petit-déjeuner sur 10 jours peut sembler répétitif mais reste suffisamment varié et copieux pour y trouver son bonheur.

A perfect and luxurious place—the photos don't even do justice to how beautiful it actually is. The hosts are wonderful and have truly thought of every little detail. The cleanliness is absolute perfection. Location-wise, it’s very convenient with a supermarket nearby and plenty of restaurants in the area (a car is needed, though). The breakfast is simple, but the quality of the ingredients is top-notch, making everything delicious and enjoyable. You can also get a cappuccino! Highly recommended—we usually don't visit the same place twice, but we will definitely be back.

On a minor note: when you flush the toilet, the water splashes out a bit.

הדבר היחיד הוא המנקות שנכנסו לחדר גם אם אתם שמים לא להפריע. הן שלוש פעמים נכנסו לחדר כשביקשתי מהם שיעזבו אותי כשהייתי במקלחת, וכשישנתי זה לא נעים.

Everything! The hosts were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived and made us feel at home straight away. I was celebrating my birthday, and they surprised me with a birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, the views were beautiful, and the location was perfect—just a short drive from Tsambika Beach, which ended up being our favourite beach in Rhodes. We stayed in a swim-up room, which I would highly recommend as it made our stay even more special. We genuinely loved every minute here.

Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, die Zimmer modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Johannes und sein Sohn sind außergewöhnlich freundlich, engagiert und kümmern sich mit viel Herz persönlich um ihre Gäste. Das Hotel hat eine familiäre Atmosphäre und der Supermarkt direkt nebenan ist sehr praktisch.

Trotz „Bitte nicht stören“ wurde unser Zimmer täglich gereinigt. Außerdem wurde die Minibar (zumindest Wasser) nicht nachgefüllt. Die Straßenführung in der Umgebung machte manche Fahrten mit dem Auto durch Umwege etwas umständlich.

Super marché en bas de l’hôtel. Piscine accessible 24h pas comme les autres hôtels de l’île ou c’est 18h. Le petit dej très sympa.

We liked the pool and the house was lovely. The owner was very attentive with all guests, making sure everybody was feeling well. We felt very well taken care of.

The sewage in the bathroom had an unpleasant smell at times.

Ho trascorso un soggiorno davvero eccellente. Lo staff è stato estremamente gentile, professionale e sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni esigenza con il sorriso. L’accoglienza è stata calorosa fin dal primo momento, facendoci sentire subito a casa. La struttura è splendida: pulitissima, curata in ogni dettaglio, moderna e molto confortevole. Gli ambienti sono accoglienti e ben tenuti, contribuendo a rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Un’esperienza assolutamente positiva sotto ogni aspetto. Consiglio questa struttura a chiunque cerchi qualità, ospitalità e attenzione verso gli ospiti. Tornerò sicuramente!

Enige dat ik zou kunnen zeggen is dat we heel mooi uitzicht op zee hadden vanaf terras maar dat er een hele grote boom is op het terras die het uitzicht gedeeltelijk wegneemt. Maar was wel mooie boom😀

Abbiamo soggiornato al Johannes Apartments dal 9 al 15 luglio, io, mia moglie e nostra figlia, e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno. Johannes e suo figlio sono persone splendide: simpatici, accoglienti e sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni esigenza con il sorriso. Un ringraziamento va anche a tutto il personale, che si è distinto per la grande gentilezza, disponibilità e professionalità durante tutta la vacanza. La struttura è molto pulita e curata, un aspetto che abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato. Nel complesso è stato un soggiorno molto piacevole e consigliamo vivamente il Johannes Apartments a chi cerca un ambiente familiare, pulito e un'ospitalità autentica. Silvano

L'unico punto che potrebbe essere migliorato è la colazione, soprattutto quella dolce: la scelta è piuttosto limitata, con gli stessi prodotti ogni giorno e una qualità non sempre all'altezza del resto della struttura. Basterebbe un po' più di varietà e prodotti di qualità superiore per rendere l'esperienza davvero eccellente.

We really enjoyed our stay. Although the property is located near a main road, once you enter the courtyard, you find a quiet, clean, and cosy little oasis. The owners, who run the hotel themselves, are very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The outdoor area was wonderful for families with children, and food could be ordered at any time. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The pools were warm and very clean. The shallow children’s pool and the surrounding area, together with the playground, were perfect for our three-year-old. Highly recommended!

Studijos tipo kambarys patogus, švarus. Labai gražiai sutvarkyta aplinka. Vieta rami, bet arti miestelio. Nors viešbutukas nedidelis, tačiau yra vaikams skirtas baseinas ir gražiai įkomponuota vaikų žaidimų aikštelė. Labai malonus visas personalas.

Johannes en stamos doen er alles aan om het je naar het zin te maken. Als je vragen heb, alles wordt geregeld. Kamers zijn ruim en mooi. Bedden liggen heerlijk en doordat het direct aan de hoofdweg ligt, ben je ook direct op pad. Van deze weg hoor je niets. Tevens verhuren zo ook zelf auto’s. Laat de transfer naar de accommodatie door hun regelen en huur bij johannes. Niks duurder dan de autobedrijven op het vliegveld, geen borg, maar wel een redelijk nieuwe auto.

Tolle familiäre Atmosphäre, wir wurden wie Freunde in die Familie der Eigentümer aufgenommen. Tolle Empfehlung gleichermaßen für Paare, Alleinreisende oder Familien. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Zimmer sauber (werden täglich gereinigt und aufgeräumt). Die Eigentümer sind sehr hilfsbereit, es gibt auch die Möglichkeit direkt bei der Unterkunft ein Auto zu mieten (deutlich günstiger als bei den großen bekannten Vermietern). Wir kommen wieder!

Das Gym könnte eine etwas bessere Ausstattung haben, aktuell ein paar Hanteln sowie Laufband, Crosstrainer und Fahrrad vorhanden.

It was beautiful and the room was very comfortable, the pool was great, plenty of places to sit by the pool and surrounding it. They have a lot of greenery including banana trees and lemon trees which added to the magic. The place was also very well maintained, very clean and very welcoming. The beds were amazingly comfy, service was incredible and breakfast was also always amazing with plenty of options to choose from. The staff there made our stay very very pleasant as they are very welcoming, they made it such a great experience, their kindness and attentiveness will remain one of the biggest highlights of our trip.

Perfect hosts who cannot do enough for their guests. We have stayed multiple times.

We spent a wonderful 9 days at Johannes Hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful, exceptionally well-maintained, and surrounded by lovely greenery that creates a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The pool area was always clean and, luckily, never crowded. Our room was cleaned daily, and having a well-equipped kitchenette was a great bonus. The bed was soooo comfortable! Breakfasts were tasty, fresh every single day, and the staff kept everything spotless. We also really appreciated the convenience of renting a car directly at the hotel and being able to borrow beach umbrellas. In the evenings, the restaurant has a magical atmosphere. A huge highlight was the Greek nights - the owners cook traditional food for the guests three times a week, and it was amazing! We usually never visit the same place twice, but we would gladly return here in a heartbeat. A huge thank you to the entire Moschous family! ❤️

Since my partner doesn't drink and I am currently pregnant, we felt that the restaurant menu could use a few more non-alcoholic options, like mocktails or alcohol-free beer.

Eine wunderschöne und sehr liebevoll geführte familiäre Unterkunft. Der schöne Poolbereich lädt ausgiebig zum Entspannen ein. Luftmatratzen und Reifen sind am Pool vorhanden und können dort auch kostenlos verwendet werden, zudem auch einige Bücher zum Lesen. Der Fitnessraum ist rund um die Uhr geöffnet. Ausgesprochen nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Bei Johannes und seinem Sohn Matthias bleibt absolut kein Wunsch unerfüllt. Sie sprechen fließend deutsch und geben einem gerne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, Empfehlungen und Insider-Tipps zur gesamten Insel. Die Zimmer sind groß, geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Zudem mit Balkon oder Terrasse. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls modern, groß und sauber. Täglicher Zimmerservice und Handtuchwechsel. Reichhaltiges Frühstück und täglich warme Küche möglich + Eventabende (z. B. Grillabende). Hotelbar am Pool vorhanden. Ein Supermarkt ist in ca. 100m fußläufig erreichbar. Der Strand ist in ca. 500m/600m fußläufig erreichbar. Parkplätze für Mietautos stehen reichlich zur Verfügung, ein Mietwagen kann auch bei Ihnen direkt vor Ort gemietet werden.

Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.
