La casa sembra quasi un museo contadino: attrezzi di lavoro, anfore, ricami, mobili antichi, tappeti,frontoni di finestre e altri materiali di recupero sapientemente utilizzati per realizzare una casa tradizionale da sogno! Colazione superba e tanta gentilezza. Posizione ottima al centro di Avanos che ho trovato molto più genuina di mete più famose.

Premesso che Avanos è di gran lunga la migliore località in cui soggiornare in Cappadocia (meno polverosa e più economica di Göreme o Uçhisar; meno trafficata e più verde di Ürgüp), ben collegata con i principali centri della regione e provvista di una piacevole e ombrosa area pedonale in riva al fiume Kızılırmak, il Sofa Hotel vi spicca come un'assoluta eccellenza ricettiva: un suggestivo agglomerato rupestre in parte scavato in negativo nella roccia della collina soprastante e in parte costruito in positivo con blocchi ricavati dalla stessa calda pietra vulcanica; una labirintica articolazione di scale, terrazze, pergolati, volte, corridoi, stanze, grotte, che si diramano dall'incantevole cortile centrale in un'ascendente successione di piani, inoltrandosi e perdendosi in profonde cavità rocciose o salendo a punti panoramici sulla valle che spazia fino a Göreme. Un insieme architettonico in cui rilievi e fregi, sia d'antiquariato sia di elaborata reinterpretazione moderna, fanno da cornice ad un'eclettica pletora di oggetti e componenti d'arredo, a sintetizzare la millenaria evoluzione iconografica e stilistica delle civiltà anatoliche, dal Neolitico alla tarda età ottomana. Gli ambienti sono accoglienti, comodi e puliti e vale la pena spendere qualcosa in più per godersi un'autentica suite in grotta come la "Derinkuyu" o una stanza splendida come la "Kars" che potrebbe ben collocarsi nell'harem del Topkapi. La colazione a buffet è ricca e di buona qualità, prevede variazioni giornaliere ed oltre alle classiche pietanze turche salate include anche un'ampia componente dolce: a nostra esperienza una delle migliori della Turchia. Il personale parla un ottimo inglese, è accogliente e sollecito verso gli ospiti e può prenotare e organizzare attività (voli in mongolfiera) e tour ("rosso", "verde", privati o personalizzati) verso ogni località della Cappadocia con professionalità e competenza

Non una nota negativa (perché nel caso del Sofa Hotel è veramente difficile trovare aspetti negativi) ma pratica e riguardante le esperienze che si possono fare a partire da Avanos e per le quali ci si può giovare del consiglio e dell'aiuto prezioso del personale dell'hotel. Al di là delle classiche destinazioni proposte dalle agenzie turistiche e incluse nei tour "rosso" o "verde" (alcune comunque imperdibili) sono fortemente consigliate anche escursioni alle valli di Ihlara e Soganli e soprattutto al monastero rupestre di Gümüşler a Niğde, mentre sono assolutamente deprecabili e da evitare le unioni nella stessa giornata di parti di tour diversi ("rosso"+"verde") in quanto non consentono di dedicare tempi adeguati ai vari siti, prevedendo di accorpare località spesso situate agli opposti limiti geografici della regione. Non raccomandabile in particolare l'agenzia "Sunsmile Travel" di Avanos (all'Otogar) che organizza tour con un po' troppe visite a negozi convenzionati e che manca della serietà necessaria al rispetto dei programmi concordati: ma il Sofa Hotel troverà e proporrà ottime alternative. Ultima notazione pratica: il Sofa Hotel è posizionato nell'area della città vecchia di Avanos, in prossimità della piacevole passeggiata fluviale, di un bel punto panoramico e di numerosi negozi, supermercati e ristoranti. Per chi non ha un'auto propria (ma all'undicesimo o dodicesimo viaggio in Turchia rimaniamo convinti che l'autobus sia il mezzo più adeguato, economico, comodo e sicuro per visitare questo bellissimo ed accogliente Paese) la fermata dei dolmuş per le località vicine è a una cinquantina di metri dall'hotel, mentre l'Otogar è situato ad appena una decina di minuti a piedi e vi fermano anche gli autobus a lunga percorrenza

È stato tutto perfetto, pulizia, struttura, colazione top, vicinanza al centro. Ismail è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Super consigliato!

La camera bellissima, giardinetto interno molto suggestivo. Staff molto accogliente, ci hanno lasciato anche dei piccoli pensierini locali. Camera super pulita. Consigliamo fortemente consigliato.

Sofa Hotel è veramente un gioiellino. La struttura è affascinante e curata nel minimo dettaglio. Ci sono bellissime aree comuni da poter utilizzare nei momenti di relax. È tutto pulito e ordinato e i proprietari sono gentilissimi. La colazione è abbondante e ottima e viene servita nel bellissimo cortile interno. C'è la possibilità di parcheggiare l'auto nel loro parcheggio privato. Inoltre, ho trovato il paese di Avanos un'ottima scelta per visitare la zona. È meno caotico di Goreme, ma ha comunque tutti i servizi necessari.

I have nothing to say about that.

There were so many issues: the air conditioning didn't cool the room, the hand soap dispenser didn't work, and toilet paper wasn't provided. The management was very rude, and the room location was terrible—there are no elevators, so you have to carry suitcases up the stairs, which is extremely difficult and a major inconvenience for guests. Another important point: even though you book through the platform and request payment via card, they don't process it that way; instead, they claim the card didn't work and insist on a different payment method, which I find completely inappropriate and unfair.

Всё прекрасно, номер был хороший и уютный, всё необходимое было, завтрак был разнообразный и вкусный. Очень атмосферное место, расположение тоже хорошее, машину поставили без проблем рядом с отелем

Posizione centralissima ad Avanos, comoda per visitare la regione. Location pazzesca in un edificio storico e affascinante. Ambienti puliti e curati, staff gentile e non invadente. Nota di merito per la colazione!

I loved the interior of the hotel. It has a beautiful courtyard, and these amazing rooftops that provide this great view of the city.

Sehr schönes Hotel, der Innenhof ist besonders schön, das Familienzimmer ist sehr gemütlich, die Größe für 4 Personen optimal und die Betten sind tatsächlich bequem 😀 Leckeres Frühstück, das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, mit sehr nettem Personal. Beim Parkplatz sind sie behilflich. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Cappadocia is pretty easy to get around with a rental car. Avanos is a few kilometers away from the main tourist town of Goreme, which means it's less crowded with foreign tourists and relatively cheaper. The town is still quite lively at night, with plenty of restaurants and ice cream. Sofa hotel has the cave hotel aesthetic as well as lots of whimsical decorations. There was also a very nice cat with 2 kittens.

Wer eine Unterkunft mit echter Seele, Geschichte und herausragender Gastfreundschaft sucht, wird dieses liebevoll eingerichtete, historische anatolische Steingebäude lieben. ​Unser Familienzimmer & Schlafklima Unser Familienzimmer bot eine fantastische Mischung aus traditionellem anatolischen Charme und modernem Komfort. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Raumklima: Im heißen Sommer blieben die Zimmer auf natürliche Weise angenehm kalt. In Kombination mit den mega bequemen Betten hat das für ein absolut optimales Schlafklima gesorgt. Auch für meine Großeltern war das Zimmer perfekt geschnitten. ​Kulinarik: Das absolute Highlight Für das Frühstück gibt es eigentlich nur ein Wort: Wow! Es war schlichtweg atemberaubend. Alles war unglaublich frisch und handgemacht. Die Auswahl bot alles, was das Herz begehrt: von Sarma, Bohça, Simit, Su Böreği und Sigara Böreği über unzählige Käsesorten und verschiedenste herzhafte Aufstriche bis hin zu tollen Süßspeisen. Dazu gab es frischen Saft, Limonade, heißen türkischen Tee und als absolute Krönung exzellenten Honig mit Kaymak. In meinen 15 Jahren Hotelerfahrung haben wir als Familie ein derartiges Frühstück noch nicht gesehen. Da können selbst 5-Sterne-Hotels, in denen die Qualität oft nachlässt, absolut nicht mithalten. ​Wichtiger Hinweis zur Zahlung (Achtung bei Booking-Reservierungen!) Einen kleinen Wermutstropfen gab es bei der Transparenz der Zahlungsbedingungen: Wir hatten über Booking.com reserviert, wo nicht kommuniziert wurde, dass bei der Zahlung im Hotel mit Karte zusätzliche Gebühren anfallen können. Erst im Nachhinein erhielten wir eine E-Mail, dass Zahlungen vor Ort in Lira erfolgen. Das ist an sich überhaupt kein Problem, zumal das Hotel absolut fair und ohne Tricks exakt 1:1 nach dem offiziellen Kurs der türkischen Zentralbank abrechnet.

Gorgeous property, our room was stunning and super comfortable. Staff were very helpful and food for breakfast was great and plentiful.

Herşey çok güzeldi, herkes inanılmaz yardımseverdi. Kahvaltı da mükemmel ve çok lezzetliydi. Eğer kısmet olursa ve bir daha gelirsek yine burda kalacağız.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit süßen Zimmern und einem ruhigen, toll gestalteten Innenhof mit ganz besonderer Atmosphäre. Man kann gut auf einfach mal einen ganzen Tag auf einer der vielen Terrassen verbringen, sich die ganzen kleinen und großen Kunstwerke anschauen und herrlich entspannen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Adoramos a nossa estadia em família no hotel. Os funcionários do hotel foram muito disponíveis, organizaram nos shuttle do aeroporto para a ida e volta, ajudaram-nos a marcar visitas guiadas, e além disso, foram muito disponíveis para alguns pedidos especiais que ajudaram a tornar a nossa estadia verdadeiramente relaxante. Quando se tem filhos pequenos é ótimo poder contar com pequenos gestos que nos ajudam a tornar a logística mais leve. Gostaria de parabenizar também o pequeno almoço que era delicioso e com muita variedade. Adoramos a decoração e o ambiente do hotel. Parabéns pelo profissionalismo.

Прекрасный, очень атмосферный отель, гостеприимные хозяева. Множество терасс, украшенных национальными предметами, как будто в музее. Красивый внутренний дворик, где можно позавтракать. У нас был номер в пещере, все чисто, запахов посторонних нет, было тепло (середина апреля), интересный опыт!

This was a cosy treat - we loved it - i dont think we expected it to be this good. It was tucked away and secluded but right in the centre of the town. We loved it.

This hotel is full of character, with a unique decor. We even saw a couple taking photos using the hotel's ambiance as a backdrop. We stayed in a double stone room, which features a rustic interior decorated with many ceramic pieces—very much in line with the style of Avanos. The hotel is located at the intersection of the main street, making it very convenient to head out to restaurants and small pottery shops. The service was excellent: the staff helped us book a taxi to watch the hot air balloons take off, arranged a shuttle to the airport, and even gave us lovely fridge magnets and ceramic ornaments as farewell gifts. Overall, it was a perfect experience—highly recommend.

L'hôtel était très agréable, le bâtiment est étonnant et riche d'objets chinés. Chaque recoin abrite une terrasse ou une alcôve aménagée permettant de se prélasser dans un canapé. Certaines terrasse offre une vue très agréable sur la région et notamment sur les montgolfières décollant de bon matin. Notre chambre était spécieuse et très belle. Le petit déjeuner était un véritable plaisir.

We chose the cave style hotel during the off season, so we were the only people in the hotel during our 5 night stay. The community-style hotel area is really atmospheric and genuine. We had breakfast included and they always had a fire going for us and breakfast laid out before we got there at 8:00. A lot of good Turkish food variety, and always more than we could eat. The room itself had a lot of props and decorations that made it feel lived-In and antiquated, always like visiting a grandmother. The cave style was unique and fun. It was spacious and warm throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean and spacious and warm, with a walk in shower.

The plaster “cave” ceiling of our room constantly dropped debris onto the ground and bed. Dust littered the floor. While this is expected if it were a real cave, being an artificial cave, I was a little concerned. The bathroom door didn’t close cleanly and needed to be pushed in order for the bolt to fall into the socket and close properly. The room occasionally had a “pond water” smell from the outside hallway that we couldn’t pinpoint, but it didn’t bother us too badly. The front reception is locked and needed someone to manually open the door for us, which posed an embarrassing problem if we came back to the hotel late or early in the morning. A family lives there (we think) that manages the property and needed to wake up to let us in at 5:00 am a couple times. It might have been better to have some kind of key or open access without intruding on anyone. Lastly, the heating system failed during our stay but the staff noticed and provided plug in heaters instead without us mentioning anything. We didn’t end up using them as the room was already a comfortable temperature despite the outside being -5 C.

The hotel was incredibly accommodating and the facilities were amazing! The staff coordinated our hotel pick-up and drop-off and offered to coordinate hot air balloons for us as well (we had already booked). Plus, the breakfast, which is included, was delicious! The owners had an adorable dog as well :). We stayed in a cave room, which was beautiful. I could not recommend this hotel more.

There was nothing I didn't like! The service/wifi in the room was spotty, but that is the nature of staying in a cave room.

The hotel was in a good location in the center of the town of Avanos. The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE !! I was also surprised by the breakfast ! It was really good, diverse and had a lot of options to choose from. I really enjoyed my stay in Safa Hotel

It was a perfect stay. Amazing location just 10 minutes from Cappadocia city center if you have a car. The breakfast was mind-blowing, easily one of the best spreads we have ever had. It had all the Turkish delicacies. The family that runs this hotel is extremely sweet and nice. There is sufficient space for parking and the hotel itself is super authentic and gives you a feel of turkey as soon as you step in, with its cute artifacts and stylish decor. Would 100% come back.

Double mattress was a stone and one of the pillows too high (would have been good more pillows there in the cupboard). No hand soap, no plates, not cutlery, curtains let lot of light through.

It's a very beautiful place. The town is calm and clean, it's nice to walk there in the evening, there are places to eat, there are chain supermarkets. Comfortable, spacious and very nice room. Everything is filled with antiques. Very cozy courtyard and terraces. The cave room was quiet and dark, so we slept well. The room was cool, but it was quite comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The staff is friendly. Special thanks to Murat, who was always ready to help.

Очень понравилось в Аваносе, место отличное, рядом набережная, смотровая площадка, сувенирные магазинчики. Хозяин очень приятный, номер у нас был большой, две комнаты, одна в большой пещере, из нее еще две маленькие декоративные пещеры с подсветкой, украшенные старинными вещами. Отель с красивым внутренним двориком, завтраки вкусные, много свежей выпечки и фруктов. Хозяин отеля на память нам подарил небольшие красивые сувенирчики. Обязательно вернемся в этот отель, и будем советовать друзьям.

Единственный минус, что основные достопримечательности Каппадокии находятся в соседних городках, правда недалеко, мы были на машине, поэтому для нас это была не проблема.

A gorgeous historic hotel with great management and facilities. It was truly a treat to stay here, as every inch of the hotel is beautiful. We were also awed by the amazing breakfast buffet, which seemed never-ending, with more choices than I've ever seen. The whole experience was above expectation. Being a traveler for over 25 years, the Sofa Hotel ranks high in my experience and will be memorable.

Alles Ich kenne das Hotel, bin jetzt das zweite Mal da gewesen. Ist ist mega schön. Man kann es nicht beschreiben, man muss es erleben.
