The check-in process was seamless, thanks Gustav...i dropped my coffee on the bed cos i was so exhausted from driving, and slept with my make up, sorry again, for the mess... the shower adjustment tool was loose n broke off sorry for this also:-( I live in Bloemfontein and will be using the guest house often as I can as the house sometimes gets busy and need to work n rest when I have urgent matters... Beautiful and neat, welcoming, love all the teas and coffee, and the excellent water pressure, bed was cosy, and fell asleep like a baby.

All was lovely. Reasonably priced and hygienic. Check out was just as easy as check in, love the privacy. Thanks so much.

Location Close to CitiMed Comfotable and not expensive. We were aware that no breakfast included. Easy to book in and out.

Our Adjacent room AC (Room10) require serious attention on outdoor unit. Extremely noisy. Room 11 Shower drain need opening.

Comfortable and convenient

The wooden door has a hole. If someone is outside that door entering the next room it sounds like they are in your room and I’m sure your conversations are audible to them.

the guest house was within 3km of university, easily accessible with own entrance and remote provided which made us feel safe. The rooms were clean and fresh and we were very comfortable. Even electric blankets.

Amazing location, quite large and spacious rooms. Great communication with manager.

Could have really used a microwave. Lack of cutlery was really a major blow.

I liked the privacy and coziness of the area. The place itself is also very neat and beautiful with greenery that further instill serenity. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The water was cold on the morning we left.

The location was perfect. The check in was so easy. Rooms are perfect.

Its located in a quiet neighborhood that is safe and tranquil. And the place is absolutely clean. Wonderful place to hide away and have tranquil time to rest.

There seemed to be a water issue, so at certain times of the day there wasn't any hot water available in the shower.

It was very clean and we enjoy the communication with Pieter.

The aircon in room 3 . Couldn't switch to heat despite pressingthe mode button.. But even if the aircon didn't give us what we wanted we augmented with the electric blanket and extra blankets were also available .

The property was simplistic yet had everything you need. Book-in was super easy. The unit was clean with great attention to detail. I'll return any day!

Great and safe location. People there are very friendly. The property is beautiful and well kept. The power cuts(which are across SA) disturbed on the last day, but its great they have solar back up!

I love that the property is minutes away from restaurants yet still in a quiet area. The owner is quick to respond and attend to any needs. The wifi worked amazingly well and the place is just beautiful

The host was incredibly welcoming and kind. I stayed at the property while attending my graduation, and they went above and beyond by allowing us to leave our bags on the premises after check-out so we could attend the ceremony and collect them later on our way to the airport. As we were relying on e-hailing services, we had no alternative place to store our luggage, so this gesture made a huge difference. It was truly appreciated and made the entire experience even more seamless.

No criticism whatsoever. :) I only recommend for you to stay here should you find yourself in Bloem.

The privacy and peaceful environment

No receptionist to explain how to access WiFi or any of the services they provide.

The property was close to the shops and to the University, because we went there for a graduation. The garden is clean and beautiful, we took some really nice pictures in it before the grad ceremony. The rooms are spacious.

1. When we arrived, there was no Hot water. Our bus had dropped us off early, and we had to wait outside while our rooms were being cleaned. We got cold because it was raining, and when we finally got inside, the water was super, super cold, not even lukewarm. I then phoned Pieter and told him that the water was cold. He told me he would switch on the geyser. But he knew guests would check in soon. Why didn't he switch on the geyser an hour before our arrival? An hour passed, and the water was still cold. Shortly after that, there was no water at all. I phoned him again, and he told me there was a municipal water shutdown and he would communicate with someone to open the reserved water. The morning of our checkout,, there was no electricity and the water was cold. I do understand unforeseen events do happen, but what frustrates me is that not once did I receive a message or a phone call from Pieter telling me that there was going to be a problem with the water or electricity, because he knew about all these things but chose to keep all this information to himself. How do I know that he knew? Because every time I phoned him asking about an issue, he would say, "Oh yes, I saw on the community group that there would be or that there is a water shutdown," and I would ask myself, but Pieter, why didn't you let your guest know about this? But I guess I will never know, but what I know for sure is that for the next Graduation I am NOT BOOKING the SUBURBAN EVER AGAIN. The Wifi was nonexistent; I couldn't even send or listen to a WhatsApp voice note, . And I would suggest that he tells his cleaning ladies to change the water in the fridge and wash the bottle after every guest, because the water had dirty little things flying in them, also the bottle had mould inside the lid. I think refilling the water in a reusable bottle is a bad idea for a guest house(that's just my opinion). Please add microwaves to your rooms.

I was not happy when we arrived there were no hot water ,in the morning there were not hot water,no plates no microwave the place is poor
