Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Colpisce molto che sia una casa antica, poi ristrutturata per accogliere ospiti. La camera era spaziosa, sebbene un po' spartana, senza frigo e con le finestre che non potevano essere aperte tutte.
La mancanza di ascensore si fa sentire, soprattutto se hai la stanza al secondo piano e devi trasportare bagagli grandi. A colazione, poi, non c'è molta scelta: non ho trovato nemmeno il latte senza lattosio e ad oggi, si sa, è un'intolleranza abbastanza diffusa. Quando ho chiesto alla proprietaria di poterlo avere, mi è stato detto di chiedere alle ragazze di turno al mattino successivo. Perché non inoltrare la richiesta direttamente a loro?! E comunque non mi è stato fatto avere. Infine, capisco il voler salvaguardare l'ambiente, ma non condivido la politica di cambiare le asciugamani ogni 3gg... infatti abbiamo chiesto il cambio giornaliero

L’accueil de Maria ! Désagréable car nous avions frappé à la porte 3 fois…car les consignes affichées à la porte évoquait un code non reçu. La baignoire annoncée sur les photos, n’y était que pour la déco ! En revanche, une forte odeur dégout remontée par le siphon…!! La chambre pour mes 3 ados était trop petite ! Pas de cafetière, ni frigo, ni tv. Literie inconfortable. Pas d’ascenseur et les escaliers sont nombreux, ce qui rend difficile ll’accès aux chambres avec des valises. Bruyant côté rue ! Chaque passage dans le couloir, nous réveille la nuit puisque la chambre s’illumine avec la lumière du couloir. Un simple vitrage nous sépare de ce passage..

Ascensore assente se avete bagagli pesanti non è cosi agevole. Scale ripide e a fine giornata erano davvero un incubo!assente frigo bar in camera. Abbiamo chiesto colazione da asporto ma è stato come non averla in quanto non sono organizzati in questo senso quindi se avete tour con partenza la mattina presto è una colazione in meno...

La nostra camera, al primo piano fronte strada, era un po’ rumorosa. Consiglio inoltre di rifornirsi di acqua da bere in quanto non presente in camera.

Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass das Zimmer direkt an einer Einbahnstraße liegt, sehr stark frequentiert wird und abends und nachts laut ist. Leider konnten Getränke bei den warmen Temperaturen nicht kalt gestellt werden konnten. Zumindest hätte ein kleiner Kühlschrank Abhilfe schaffen können.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026De locatie was prima. Zeer gastvrij ontvangen. De kamers werden elke dag schoongemaakt. De bezienswaardigheden lagen op wandelafstand. Ook een van de weinige accommodaties in de buurt waar ontbijt werd aangeboden.
Wij hadden de mezzanine en deze kan je volgens mij alleen boeken als je goed te been bent. Deze bevindt zich drie hoog en in het kamertje is een stijle wenteltrap naar het zoldertje waar een groot bed stond. Enkel een dakraampje zonder uitzicht. Badkamer kon veel te weinig worden verlucht. Is prima voor een kort verblijf. Maar zou eerder een kamer met raam/ balkon aanraden.

Ubogie śniadania, przez pięć dni ten sam rodzaj wędliny, żółtego sera i jajka na twardo a pomidorki tylko przez dwa pierwsze dni, potem się skończyły. Trochę słodkich wypieków i owoców.

La colazione è varia ed abbondante ma il TOP è la proprietaria Sofia che è molto gentile, disponibile ed accogliente . Siamo arrivati la sera tardi e partiti prestissimo al mattino senza alcun intoppo e con istruzioni date molto chiare e precise. Posto consigliatissimo

Sofia hat das alles mit Liebe gestaltet. Es war sehr sauber in der Unterkunft👍 Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und gut. Lobenswert ist Freundlichkeit von Sofia und ihrem gesamten Team. 🤗
Etwas schade fand ich, dass die Terrasse am Abend nicht zugänglich war. Aber das ist schon alles😉

La colazione, salata e dolce, si fa in una cucina "di casa", con servizi in porcellana eleganti. La posizione è comoda, a 5 minuti a piedi dal Municipio. La strada è ricca di negozi e locali.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026This Guesthouse has a spirit, we were delighted to see a house very sensibly and with amazing care rescued from decay, Sofia did an amazing job. We felt welcome, breakfast was very good and our room was spacious and airy.
Rua do Almada is a busy street at any time of the day (or night, for that matter) without any speed restrictions like in some other parts of Porto Old town. If you decide to stay there, then better pack ear plugs or something similar helping you cancel or at least reduce the street noise, just in case you will stay in one of two rooms facing the street.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Beautiful guest house with very few rooms which makes for an intimate, cozy stay. The room was large, light and comfortable with a beautiful view of the city rooftops. It's a five min walk to city hall, five to ten more to Douro river and three minutes to the metro line. The breakfast buffet featured several Portugese delicacies, which was a welcome surprise (we expected a regular continental spread) and hostess Sophia was very welcoming. If we hadn't already had further plans, we would have loved to stay longer.

Ulica, przy której znajduje się pensjonat prowadzi wprost do centralnej części Porto, więc miejsce jest dobrą bazą wypadową do zwiedzania. Pokój bardzo czysty i przestronny. Pyszne śniadania i miła obsługa.
Pokój jest dwuosobowy, więc przydałyby się dwa krzesła zamiast jednego. Poza tym wszystko świetnie zorganizowane.

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026Sofia, the owner and Maria hostess/staff are exceptional! Warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about Porto and wanting to make your stay a pleasant experience. We arrived late and had no issues getting inside and to our room. They were accommodating to our schedule which made for a good stay. Location to the metro and popular sights is fairly easy- especially if you enjoy walking! Breakfast in the charming dining room was a great way to start our day. Continental style with coffee, juice, croissants, fruit and other bread choices, hard boiled eggs, cheese and ham. Our room- very clean, was spacious, soft linens, comfortable firm bed and a claw foot bathtub! There is a shower also. beautiful ceiling and windows were a bonus. Know that there is not a lift to take you upstairs but the lovely staircase gets you to where you need to go. Attention to detail comes through and we appreciated it. Sofia has put much love and thought into the transformation of her Grandparents home into a lovely guesthouse.
Our room was one floor up from the street and could be noisy but earplugs helped with that!
