Breakfast and the warmth of the staff.

Booking.com indicated that the room had double bed and was facing the swimming and garden. It wasn't so when arrived. The reception tried to accommodate me, but he couldn't win.

Nothing, totally disappointing and unprofessional

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked this hotel for myself while travelling on business and received a **confirmed booking**. The hotel also charged the booking fees to my card, so I had every reason to believe that my accommodation was secured. When I arrived late in the evening, I was shocked to be told that the hotel was **fully booked and that my confirmed room was no longer available**. No prior communication was provided to me, leaving me stranded late at night after travelling for business. I was then offered alternative accommodation at **Pumpkin Tree Guesthouse**, which was nowhere near the standard I had booked or expected from a highly rated boutique hotel. The room and property were extremely disappointing, with **dirty sheets, coffee stains on the table and visibly dirty curtains**. What makes this even more unacceptable is that I specifically chose this hotel based on its reputation and rating. A confirmed reservation should mean exactly that — **a room is secured for the guest**. Taking payment and then arriving to find that the hotel has no room available is simply unacceptable. I am completely disgusted by the lack of professionalism and the way this situation was handled. If a hotel cannot honour a confirmed reservation, particularly for a guest arriving late at night, it raises serious questions about its booking and management practices. I would **strongly recommend that potential guests think twice before booking here**, regardless of the hotel's rating. My experience was completely contrary to what I expected from a highly rated boutique hotel.

The breakfast was great, good selection of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals and of course all the bacon and eggs and sausages and and and.....

Our bed could have been a little more comfortable, otherwise the room was great. Shower was awesome, large shower head with a good volume of water and plenty of hot water as well.

Am not one to complain but this time i have to. The dinner was not worth the price, especially the dinner - I had to order two meals. The chap who was at reception was not so welcoming from when I checked in. He brought my food on a tray smaller than the plate, with a smirk on his face. The plate was all skew with food almost falling off the plate. Horrible service! The shower floods!!! The bed was comfortable but the bedding was too tight 😒

Not disability friendly, breakfast not fully covered in terms of an individual preference, still employing none South Africans as waiters, air conditioners not hot enough, no small fridge to store your items

Sehr freundliches Personal, kurze Wege, Zimmer sehr groß und sauber. Klima war bereits eingeschaltet und es war gemütlich warm. Zimmerservice war sehr sehr gut.

The outside of the property and the reception was nice.

The room was very small and not properly attended to. The base of the bed had no cover. The carpet was very dirty with a mark visible on a dark carpet.

The staff was amazing made my stay unbelievably warm

I made a mistake on my booking and booked for 1 and we were a couple. There was a request that I add money of which it’s not a problem. I am not happy with how the hotel handled this as they went to my husband who did not do the booking and my details were on the system. The lady was rude and asked my husband when is he checking out unaware that there’s another booking on the system

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel room was clean, had air-conditioned and had lovely finishes.

The shower water was cold and some of the plugs were not working.

Their room are beautiful and clean. Their breakfast is to die for

Ryan is a wonderful host! He went out of his way to make us feel at home. We had a lovely dinner and a very comfortable stay! Hope to be back soon

The dinner offered at the Hotel Restaurant was excellent. The room was stunning - very spacious with an awesome bathroom

I initially booked including breakfast via Booking.com but something went wrong and the desk had to cancel and rebook - booking was then without breakfast and more expensive

Spa closes a bit to early .but very accommodating

Was genuinely comfortable. Room was genuinely dark and I could sleep. Bed was comfortable. Had hot water. Things worked generally. Staff at breakfast were friendly and had a simple but well laid out and tasty breakfast.

Rooms and bathrooms are tiny and only one towel was supplied per guest. No hand-towels to dry hair with.

Lovely place and location. Staff was friendly. Lovely quiet location. The breakfast was good.

Booked 3 beds. Grandmother Daughter and granddaughter. Asked for 3 beds and was given 2

Room was spacious and clean. Reception was efficient. Toilet was faulty but staff was efficient in coming to repair.

The breakfast team was poor. Opened 30min late. Then there was no coffee due to cold machine. No hurry whatsoever.

So this other guy who works there said to us that the owner is around and if we have alcohol from outside we must not be seen with it 😕

The place was beautiful clean lovely amenities. Beautiful gardens. Pool area spa and coffee shop.

My bathroom in room 7 had a terrible stench. In room 5 the tap in the shower dripped water all night.

We enjoyed the whole experience, the service and food at the restaurant was excellent, it is so convenient that there is a spa and coffee shop on the property. The staff at the hotel specifically Lolly and the gentlemen at the restaurant was exceptional. The food and service at the coffee shop was good and we enjoyed the treatment at the spa. It is a great idea to serve breakfast at the coffee shop and the live entertainment adds a special atmosphere at breakfast, we quite enjoyed that.

The waiter at the coffee shop rushed us a bit during breakfast to get our order placed, but also did not explain nicely how the whole process works, so we had to ask him again to explain. He also kept on asking which room we wanted to add the charges to, after the third time I felt a bit annoyed and told him to make the decision himself, as we already advised him three times of the room numbers we were booked under.
