Die Lage und das Essen sind sehr gut. Das Meer und der Strand sind dort sehr schön und ruhig.

Das dritte Bett für unsere Tochter war nur die Couch. Für größere Personen ungeeignet. Für den Preis vielleicht etwas mehr erwartet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick.

Super close to the beach. Breakfast was really good.

Annette organised a cake after figuring out from the passport copy that was submitted that it was my birthday! It is an incredibly sensitive and scores 10/10 for customer attention.

The property entrance has a drain that needs to be covered and possibly place some flowering bushes that takes the focus away from the smell.

Grande chambre au 3eme étage, superbe vue mer. La SDB a été rénovée, mais ils ont laissé l'ancienne baignoire. Et la douche consiste juste en un jet, pas de protection, donc la SDB est inondée. Il aurait fallu la créer à la place de l'ancienne baignoire. Le pdj est bon et copieux.

Déçu par la plage : pas du tout aménagée. Juste 6 transats et 2 parasols. Pourquoi ne pas rajouter des transats, des poufs et petites tables. Enlever les ordures juste à côté. Finalement, vu le rapport qualité prix, je réserverai à Uppuveli ou Nivalevi. Le ménage n'est pas effectué tous les jours. Beaucoup de corbeaux sur la plage, qui croassent dès le lever du soleil.

Onsite restaurant and on the beach, which was beautiful

Accommodation initially looks impressive, but we didn't like the location - no nearby shops, places to eat or drink. We accidently locked our keys inside our room and reception had no spare key. We had to spend the night in another room without our belongings. We finally gained access the next day.

We loved the beachfront location and the beautiful view from our room, as well as the bar and restaurant overlooking the sea. Staff are also very helpful and professional.

The room could have been cleaner, and there was sometimes an unpleasant sewage smell in both the bedroom and the bathroom. The overall cleanliness and finishes could use some improvement. There was no proper shower enclosure, so the bathroom floor would get wet when using the shower. Breakfast was decent, although the service could sometimes be a little slow. Also, apart from the beach and water activities, there are not many restaurants or other options within walking distance. You need to take a tuk-tuk to reach Uppuveli, which is a livelier area with more restaurants and places to go.

Nichts auszusetzen. Frühstück war gut, das Personal lieb und direkt am Strand. Der Strand war schöner als erwartet. Ruhig, klares Wasser, heller Sand (August)

Loved this place. First off, the staff (reception, restaurant, cleaning) are all super friendly and helpful. I'd accidentally reserved without breakfast, but they included it for free and the portions were generous and delicious. On our last day we left too early for breakfast, but they made us a packed breakfast to take away! The restauarant area is right next to the sea, so the views are beautiful. It's great just being able to step out onto the hotel's semi- private bit of beach and there are loungers and umbrellas to use. It was fun staying in Trinco, I'd recommend it. Dutch bay beach is beautiful too.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an einem wunderschönen Strand. Das Zimmer war wunderschön eingerichtet und das Bett wirklich extrem bequem! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und falls wir mal wieder nach Trincomalee kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall sehr gerne dieses Hotel buchen.

The location and view from the room were excellent. Situated at a beautiful beach. The room was clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Food also was lovely.

There is no lift. Climbing the steps with a toddler was a task but good exercise.

Hotel muy recomendable. Está en primera línea de playa, en una de las playas más bonitas, tranquilas y limpias de Trincomalee. Lo que más nos gustaría destacar es el personal: Annette, Makeshika, Thusha y Dilan. Son personas jóvenes, encantadoras, muy simpáticas y siempre dispuestas a ayudar. Gracias a ellos nos sentimos como en casa durante toda la estancia. El hotel estaba muy limpio y comimos allí en varias ocasiones. El desayuno era muy completo, con varias opciones para elegir cada día. Las habitaciones son algo pequeñas, pero están muy bien equipadas y no les falta de nada. Nosotros nos alojamos 8 noches y estuvimos muy cómodos. A pocos minutos andando hay varios restaurantes y supermercados. Además, la zona cuenta con un agradable paseo junto a la playa con bancos, donde cada tarde se reúnen muchos locales. Si buscas un ambiente con más movimiento, la playa de Uppuveli está a solo 10 minutos en tuk-tuk. Sin duda, nos hicieron sentir muy a gusto. Lo recomendamos totalmente; para nosotros es de las mejores opciones de la zona por su excelente relación calidad-precio.

On aime la localisation sur la plage avec un spot pour snorkeling accessible a pied depuis la plage juste sur la droite au bout de la plage. On aime la décoration générale du lieu, le personnel très accueillant et professionnel. Le restaurant sur place avec un superbe petit déjeuner, english breakfast, traditionnal sri lankan et un delicieux yaourt avec granola et fruits frais. Les plats du midi sont composés de poissons frais grillés et gambas, délicieux également. Une literie confortable. Des chambres propres avec la clim et un petit balcon. Des salles de bain agréables, propres et fonctionnelles. L'endroit aux alentours est calme. Parfait pour se reposer.

Wir hatten das Zimmer in der ersten Etage gebucht und durften dann aber ein Zimmer in der 2. Etage beziehen. Aus diesem Zimmer hatte man einen sehr schönen Blick auf das Meer. Das Personal war stets freundlich und bemüht.

Das Hotel ist leider wirklich schon in die Jahre gekommen. Im Bad müsste mal dringend Hand angelegt werden. Leider gab es am Strand keine Möglichkeit um sich in den Schatten zu verkrümeln. Die Bilder im Internet haben nicht wirklich zum aktuellen Stand gepasst.

It was good to be in Trincomalee itself on arrival - handy for early morning visit to fort. They very kindly provided a free driver and tuk tuk to take us up to their very fancy hotel on Uppuveli beach (which we couldn’t afford to stay in!!)

The hotel was gearing up for beginning of the season (mid -April/May. It was therefore effectively a building site and no facilities (bar etc) available other than room. Common areas very very dusty due to building work. They probably should have been closed and not accepting guests (only us!!)

Wir waren in der Zeit des Zyklon dort im Hotel und die ganze Zeit die einzigen Gäste. Hier hätten wir uns mehr Aufmerksamkeit gewünscht. Bei gutem Wetter ist das Hotel sicher sehr schön und wirklich gleich am Stand, der dann sicher auch sehr schön ist.

Leider nicht wirklich viel Aufmerksamkeit. Wir mussten darauf aufmerksam machen, dass die Fenster die Regenmassen nicht halten und das Zimmer überschwemmt wird. Keine Hilfe bei z. B. Verpflegung. Das Frühstück war sehr eintönig.

Es ist ok; die Lage ist gut, weil man direkt am Strand ist, nach ca 20 min Fußweg ist man im Zentrum. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich!

Preis/Leistung hat nicht gepasst, die Zimmer sind doch sehr einfach ausgestattet, wir hatten während unseres Aufenthalts nie warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Auf das Frühstück musste man lange warten, obwohl fast nichts los war. Ich möchte nochmals die Freundlichkeit des Personals lobend erwähnen, aber in Summe ist das Hotel für diesen Preis nicht empfehlenswert; wir hatten ein teureres Zweibettzimmer mit Balkon.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The balcony was most welcome. The breakfast was delicious. Guests are allowed to use the pool at Uppeveli Beach by DSK, which is a sister hotel. This was a real bonus!! The hotel even paid for the transfer! 💚

Sadly, no hot shower. The room was a little small and cramped and the TV cut out intermittently.

The view from our room was of a red galvanised iron roof and did not reflect the online photograph of same. No hot water for the 4 night stay. No shampoo provided or water provided to make a drink in the room. Limited breakfast menu.

The advertised view from our room was very misleading. We had a 25 foot red iron roof as a view from our room. See the two attached photos. The printed breakfast menu was limited. It didn't include much but we asked for and got delicious omelettes which were not on the menu. Won't be back

Location was in a narrow street but the beach was just a few yards away so we enjoyed the experience.Watched the beautiful sunrise from the room which has a small verandah.Room was small but clean.Bathroom was clean. Dinner was reasonably good. Very courteous service.

There was no lift so it's difficult for seniors like me to go up and down the stairs. We had booked a room on the 3 rd floor, having a great view, but had to settle for one on the 1st floor as we could not climb up.

Right on the beach with a lovely balcony - definitely book a sea view / half sea view room. Had all of the facilities you could want, including a kettle and fridge. Lovely staff and very good food (the breakfast wasn’t the biggest we’ve had but the pancakes with fresh fruit and mango juice were 10/10.

Close to the beach ,very helpful staff

Das Personal ist unfassbar nett und hilfsbereit und sie sind sehr bemüht, dass alles passt. Aufgrund der Nebensaison haben wir ein kostenloses Upgrade zu einem Zimmer mit perfektem Meerblick bekommen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, man hatte alles was man braucht, es war sauber und mit Warmwasser und einem Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Auch das Bett war sehr bequem! Das hoteleigene Restaurant kann man nur empfehlen, sehr lecker und preiswert! Beim Frühstück ist die Auswahl zwar begrenzt, dafür bekommt man frisch zubereitetes Essen Getränke und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Es gibt auch Strandliegen mit gepolsterter Auflage, welche sehr bequem sind. Nur zur Info: am Strand sind Straßenhunde unterwegs, die auch in Liegennähe chillen, genauso wie viele Raben, welche aber beide dem Menschen nichts tun, sie sind einfach da.

Hotel posizionato su una baia paradisiaca con a disposizione lettini e ombrelloni. Lontano dalla confusione delle altre spiagge intorno non c’è molto tranne un supermercato vicino, ma si ha la possibilità di pranzare e cenare lì. Ristorante molto buono. Il personale è veramente gentile e sempre sorridente.

Unica nota che potrebbero fare un po’ più di manutenzione, come per esempio cambiare la tenda della doccia.

Nice staff and very helpfull, the beach is just a few steps down from the restaurant/bar. Good food and a lot of different drinks! We booked a 2 single bed room and wanted to upgrade to a twin room but they offered the upgrade for free!

Rooms are a bit outdated and some things are broken. A long wait for the food.

Het eten was er heerlijk en ligt aan een het minder drukke Dutch beach. Dit is een goede plek om te relaxen. We kregen een kamer upgrade en vroege check in. Het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een hele leuke ervaring.

Heel fijn bed en mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon. Vanaf het hotel loop je zo het strand op, waar ook bedjes staan die bij het hotel horen. Het ontbijt was erg lekker!

Tijdens het ontbijt liep er een rat door de ruimte. Kan natuurlijk gebeuren als je half buiten zit, maar was toch niet zo heel smakelijk tijdens het eten. De medewerkers gaven ook gelijk aan dat ze hier iets aan zouden gaan doen. Klein minpuntje dus, maar ook direct goed opgepakt!

The private beach is beautiful. Kind and helpful staff.

Not soundproof rooms. The room was full of ants. The walls were dirty with mosquito corpses. There was not hot water in the shower.

Fiore all’occhiello è la spiaggia proprio davanti all’albergo con lettino e ombrelloni messi a disposizione dalla struttura. Per il resto la struttura é buona ma non ottima. La pulizia è discreta. Ma mi sento di consigliare solo la stanza matrimoniale con vista sul mare.

Uno di noi ha alloggiato nella stanza economica con vista sulla strada ma mi sento di dire che questa sistemazione vada bene per persone che viaggiano da sole. Per una coppia la stanza sarebbe molto piccola e un po’ scomoda. La colazione non è particolarmente varia. Ci sono pochi piatti tra cui scegliere e, almeno per la nostra esperienza, non é possibile chiedere grandi variazioni.

Sufficienza raggiunta grazie al mare e alla spiaggia molto belle. Personale disponibile.

Abbiamo prenotato la stanza non affacciata sul mare che non ha rispettato le nostre aspettative: stanza piccolissima, senza armadi né alcun punto d'appoggio, bagno piccolo e non particolarmente pulito. Ci sono parecchi cani randagi che entrano anche nella zona ristoro e pochi lettini e ombrelloni a disposizione degli ospiti. Colazione alla carta con poca scelta.

Premesso che ho prenotato una camera standard con scritto Matrimoniale/doppia letti singoli, mi sarei aspettato almeno che mi chiedessero la preferenza invece al check-in mi hanno comunicato che per avere il letto matrimoniale la stanza costava 125 dollari anziché 47 quanto la mia prenotata. La stanza era indecente (e’ vero che era una economy) ma questo non giustifica le condizioni di una stanza davvero improponibili. Il letto era una specie di materasso di 10 cm poggiato su un pianale di cemento (tipo celletta di un carcere) le tende erano inesistenti e quelle che ci stavano erano rotte quindi alle 6 eravamo svegli. Dimensioni della stanza che neanche un ripostiglio. Nel bagno asciugamani vecchi rotti e macchiati, con una improbabile foto appesa al muro del gabinetto con una donna che vomita nello stesso. Il tutto per poco meno di 50 euro compresa la colazione (che grazie allo staff era buona) Spero che le camere non economi siano meglio

Direttamente sulla spiaggia. Camera carina con balcone.

Struttura di fronte a una spiaggia paradisiaca e semideserta. Camere molto luminose e letti comodi. Cibo molto buono. Staff molto accogliente e sempre disponibile. Presente sia aria condizionata che ventilatore.

Potrebbero pulire almeno a terra ogni giorno e cambiare il cestino, essendo una struttura di mare. Rapporto qualità prezzo così così.

Hotel in bellissima posizione a fronte spiagga. Si puo tranquillamente raggiungere il centro a piedi. Bellissimo il bar vista mare. Abbiamo cenato li la sera e abbiamo mangiato benissimo.

Ci sono solo 2 ombrelloni e 6 lettini in spiagga che sono un po' pochi per tutti gli ospiti della struttura ma devo dire che in generale anche le altre strutture sulla spiaggia ne avevano pochi o non ne avevano.

Lage, es war direkt am Strand. Sie haben ein paar KM weiter auch am Strand ein neues Hotel eröffnet und wir durften die Infrastruktur von dort nutzen (Pool, Bar & Restaurant), das war super.

Für diesen Preis erwartet man definitiv mehr. Zimmer klein, unsauber und zudem war Service auch nicht der Hammer.

Un Paradiso sul mare. L'hotel è molto curato e pulito. Si trova direttamente sulla spiaggia bellissima di Trincomalee. Offre un servizio di cucina ottima, tutto molto buono. Il personale è fantastico, gentile e veloce. È in assoluto il miglior Hotel dove soggiornare in questa zona. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo!

Dovrebbe essere curata di più la spiaggia, con almeno altri 2 ombrelloni e sdraio.

La situation de l’hôtel sur une petite plage très peu fréquenté par le tourisme. Pourtant l’hôtel est très agréable, la nourriture est très bonne et les chambres confortables.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Sicht auf das Meer, sehr schöne Aussicht. Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei. Essen war sehr lecker.

Infrastruktur/Ausstattung veraltet. Fugen im Badzimmer und im Zimmer generell mit Schimmel befallen, riecht im Badzimmer dementsprechend. Duschvorhang muss dringend gewaschen oder erneuert werden. Ameisenbefall im Zimmer. Zimmertüre wurde noch nie geputzt. In vier Nächten wurde nie geputzt oder Tücher ausgewechselt. Bedienung im Restaurant dürfte den Gästen mehr Beachtung schenken.

Good location right on the beach. Tuk Tuk’s available to go further and explore. Staff were friendly and the breakfast included was nice.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist top! Man hat direkten Zugang zu einem ruhigen Strandabschnitt und kann die hoteleigenen Liegen nutzen. Das Zimmer war hell und freundlich eingerichtet und wir hatten Blick aufs Meer.

The staff are excellent and very helpful, understanding and friendly. Best part of the experience. Backing direct onto the beach was useful but limited furniture for all residents

City view rooms are very brightly lit throughout the night due to the hundreds of lights from the hotel opposite. Curtains too thin to block it. Apparently this has been brought to the attention of the management through previous reviews but nothing has changed. Traveller rooms also are concrete bases with a very thin mattress. Very very uncomfortable. Ultimately a terrible night’s sleep.

Nicely located at the beach in Dutch Bay.

Very slow and chaotic restaurant. Absolutely unbelievable how a restaurant can take 40 minutes to make a club sandwich and another 30 minutes to make the second one if you order two.

La camera a noi assegnata era piccolissima e indescrivibile: il letto poggiava su una lastra di cemento ( quindi era durissimo), c’era un finestrone enorme con vetri sottilissimi che surriscaldava la stanza e faceva sì che ti sembrasse di stare direttamente per strada ( molto rumorosa). Inoltre le tende che c’erano non servivano assolutamente a nulla perché la camera era illuminata a giorno. Non è stato possibile fare un cambio stanza anche pagando il sovrapprezzo per cui siamo venuti via pagando comunque la notte.

Located right on the beach front, 10 min tuk tuk from Fort Frederick. About 15 minute tuk tuk to Uppuvelli beach which is full of tourists. Staff were really attentive and caring. Food was tasty in the restraunt.

Room was OK, bit rough around the edges and outdated but did the job. Shower wasn’t warm at all.

La vue de l'hôtel est top, la baie et la plage sont superbes ! Le personnel est très gentil. On peut manger sur place mais service très long.

Rapport qualité/prix. Chambre et hôtel un peu vétuste pour le prix mais la vue sur la mer est magnifique (nous étions au 3ème étage).

Kleines Hotel mit direktem Zugang zum Strand. Offener Speisebereich zum Frühstücken mit Blick aufs Meer. Essen und Trinken ist dort den ganzen Tag möglich. Nicht weit zum Tempel. Restaurant, Apotheken und Geldautomaten in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Neue Matratzen wären sehr gut!
