Un hôtel magnifique, idéalement situé au bord du golf, avec une vue tout simplement à couper le souffle. Je suis arrivé vers 22h et j’ai été accueilli de façon extraordinaire. Malgré l’heure tardive, j’ai pu dîner et tout a été fait pour que je me sente immédiatement bien. Un immense merci au manager, qui est d’une gentillesse incroyable, extrêmement serviable et très arrangeant. Il s’est même occupé de me trouver un départ pour jouer au golf avec un excellent caddy. Une attention vraiment appréciable ! Le petit déjeuner était incroyable, le dîner délicieux, et toute l’équipe de l’hôtel est adorable, souriante et aux petits soins. Je recommande les yeux fermés cet hôtel, aussi bien aux amateurs de golf qu’aux touristes qui souhaitent profiter d’un cadre magnifique et d’un accueil exceptionnel. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour ce merveilleux séjour. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

Cet hôtel a un charme fou, avec une vue absolument époustouflante ! On s’y sent tout de suite bien. Nous avons passé trois nuits dans la suite Tee Off, et elle est incroyable : spacieuse, très confortable et surtout totalement ouverte sur ce paysage magnifique. On a vraiment l’impression d’être plongé dans la nature. Toute l’équipe de l’Albatross est adorable et aux petits soins, toujours attentive sans jamais en faire trop. Nous avons pris tous nos repas à l’hôtel et une mention toute particulière au Chef, qui nous a régalées à chaque repas ! Un endroit plein de charme, où l’on serait volontiers restées plus longtemps.

Het hotel biedt spa/massage aan, dit is niet aan te raden. Wij hebben de massage geboekt bij aankomst in het hotel voor dezelfde avond. Zonder dit te vermelden bleek de mannelijke receptionist en tevens bartender/ober in het restaurant, ook de massages te doen. Deze vond 1 op 1 plaats in een afgesloten ruimte en deze persoon ging erg slecht/grensoverschrijdend om met privacy en aanrakingen van vrouwelijk lichaam. Wat ons betreft is dit onacceptabel en het vermelden waard voor toekomstige (vrouwelijke) gasten. Buiten dit is het ook erg vreemd en niet wenselijk dat de masseur je een half uur later ook weer bedient in het restaurant. Deze ervaring was een smet op ons verblijf.

Sowohl das reichhaltige Frühstück als auch das Abendessen haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Herzlichen Dank an das Personal, es war ein Aufenthalt, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Als Krönung gibt es noch einen atemberaubenden Ausblick.

Albatros je sice starší hotel, a odpovídá tomu i vybavení. Každopádně vše co byste u takového hotelu čekali, tam najdete. Od centra Kandy je to dále. Počítejte cca 50 minut taxíkem. Snídaně byla ve srovnání s jinými hotely na Srí Lance slabší. Ovšem jeho největší předností je výhled na jezero. Ten je opravdu nádherný. Také golfové hřiště které je pod ním a máte ho jak na dlani, je opravdu skvělé. Na pobyt s rodinou, nebo z dětmi bych tam nejel, ale na golfový pobyt bych se jednou rád vrátil.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit im The Albatross – es ist mit einer der schönsten Orte, an denen wir je waren. Der Ausblick ist absolut atemberaubend, die Zimmer sind wunderschön und mit dem Billardtisch sowie der kleinen Bar fühlt man sich sofort wie zuhause. Ein riesiger Pluspunkt ist das gesamte Team: Man wird unglaublich herzlich empfangen, alles ist extrem zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Chamindo und Thilak, die einem wirklich jeden Wunsch von den Augen ablesen und den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem machen. Abends sollte man sich auf keinen Fall die fantastischen Cocktails von Chamindo entgehen lassen! Ein ganz großes Lob geht auch an die beiden Köche – das Essen ist einfach hervorragend, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und geschmacklich absolut fantastisch. Wir können es jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen – wenn ihr die Möglichkeit habt, hier in der Nähe zu sein, bleibt unbedingt ein paar Nächte!

Utsikten och miljön är ur denna värld. Att som golfare både kunna se banan och lätt promenera ned är himmelskt. Ett tips är att boka frukost och middag när ni bor här. På kvällarna kom det gäster från än mer exklusiva hotell upp för en drink här för att se solnedgången, då detta hotell har den bästa utsikten.

If heaven was a place on earth The Albatross would be it. The most incredible views, location, stunning room. The staff were fantastic, the food plentiful with a wide selection of A La Carte. We were half board and the food was very good.

The view is absolutely stunning! Pictures will never do it justice! It's in the middle of nowhere but is 100% worth being so far out for this view! The food was amazing! Best breakfast we've had in Sri Lanka with actual bacon & perfectly cooked eggs. We were half board & the dinners were incredible. 4 courses with beautifully cooked food. The seafood was super fresh, perfectly cooked & some of the best we've ever had. The prawns were 🤌🏼 They even accommodated our children at dinner time with some extra french fries for them. The cocktails were great, especially Ayesh's ceylonese The staff were all so lovely & happy to help with everything. We had an amazing stay, would 100% recommend & would love to come back one day.

The bed is very much 2 singles pushed together so the middle of the bed is really uncomfortable. A topper or something might make this better, but overall this was a minor issue.

The location was surprisingly good. We were allowed to fly the drone over Victoria reservoir and golf turf. Spa facility was top notch with a sauna and steam bath facilities. Massage technician was professional. The bartender, Ayesh knows his job and made very good cocktails for us. Meals were delicious. We couldn’t expect more.

Had an amazing stay at the Albatross, which is situated in a golf resort away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. We stayed in the Tee Off suite which has the most breathtaking views of the hills and was very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and the chefs were excellent, inviting us to try a hand at cooking hoppers one evening! The guest house has a really nice homey vibe, with lots of entertainment like a pool table and dvds available. The staff also helped us organise a golf lesson nearby!

Unmatched experience during our travels in Sri Lanka, amazing views, room was ideal. Service was fantastic, golf course is extremely unique and enjoyable. Worth the drive outside of Kandy for the experience.

It was rather run down and our room furnishings were old. Curtains had holes in them. Not as expected at all. Extremely disappointing and only saved by having a wonderful view. Western style food was not at all good, mostly tasteless, undercooked and poorly presented .

The Albatross is love letter to golfing. All the decor is lovingly curated to speak to the golfer's soul. We had a beautiful room which offered breathtaking views of the scenery. You will be spoilt for choice with the extensive menu, and be prepared to find your clothes fitting a little more snugly because you will enjoy all the delicious meals. Special thanks to Mr Thilak and his team for being so attentive and for taking such good care of us. We felt completely at home at The Albatross!

Absolutely wonderful. Just sorry we were only there 1 night. Ideal accommodation to get down to Victoria Resevoir for the seaplane or if you are a golfer. Lovely gardens with a very clean swimming pool, steam and sauna and also a jacuzzi. Location, room, food and all those we interacted with on site were exceptional. We were well looked after by the chefs Mr Anoora and Mr Benidict and also by barman/waiter Ayesh.

The Albatross is a stunning property with beautiful, unobstructed views overlooking Victoria Dam. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The food was superb, we enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan dishes for dinner and lighter sandwiches and omelettes for breakfast and lunch - both were 10/10! The chef catered to my vegetarian diet which was highly appreciated. The hosts at the hotel were so kind and accommodating. We felt really well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had an exceptional stay at the hotel in Sri Lanka. The location was simply amazing, offering a serene and relaxed atmosphere. I encountered a few issues that affected my overall experience. Firstly, the limited breakfast options were somewhat disappointing. Additionally, I found the staff to be less than accommodating, which impacted the overall friendliness of the establishment. One significant concern was the inability to access the hotel after midnight, creating an inconvenience reminds of a student dormitory. The hotel's policy of closing the door at that hour seemed restrictive and detracted from the overall flexibility and convenience of the stay. Furthermore, the bicycle rental service left much to be desired. The poor quality of the bicycles and the unexpected double charge for their use were notable drawbacks. It was frustrating to be charged twice, especially considering we were initially assured that the timing of bicycle usage wouldn't be an issue. This inconsistency in policy added an unwelcome layer of inconvenience to the overall experience. When I approached them to change money, I was offered an unfavorable rate, which was disappointing. This aspect of the service further contributed to my overall dissatisfaction during the stay.

Even this place is little far from the Kandy City (approx 25 Km), it's a place which you must try at least once to experience the real beauty of Sri Lanka. I suggest to stay at least 2 to 3 days to fully experience the atmosphere it's worth for your every penny. The Staffs are really friendly and helpful and you you can ask for any information !!

The property is located on beautiful hilltop. The golf course is right on its footsteps, there isn't much more to do but if you a fan of doing nothing and just unwinding, this is the place to be.

Couldn't find the rack on the pool table.

Breakfast options are certainly limited but it's all made-to-order fresh and enjoyed it. They didn't serve any Sri Lankan breakfast option and that was a bit of a surprise. I like it simple and was happy with my omelets, freshly squeezed juices, fruits and toast with butter n jam.

Tea and coffee can definitely improve. Naans accompanying lunch/dinner should be skipped. Parathas are much better with curries and dhal.

The location is perfect for a getaway holiday. There is a golf course for people who wish to play a few rounds.

Fantastic location with great views over the Victoria Dam and the golf course

The breakfast was substantial and well prepared, as was dinner. The chef/kitchen went out of their way to provide tasty options for the vegetarians in our party and overall both the set menus as well as the "a la carte" fare that was on offer was very reasonably priced. The property grounds, swimming pool and other facilities were well maintained, the location brilliant, and views were magnificent. The surrounding streets/roads offered opportunities to walk and explore in truly lovely peaceful surroundings with a great ambiance. The quality of service and the speed of response by the staff was excellent. Definitely intend visiting again, if possible, with an even larger group.

The view is stunning. Chilling on the rerasse or by the pool while taking in all the surrounding greens is amzing... quiet and peaceful. The pool was clean and refreshing The place was sparkle clean Everyone was so nice and helpful

A one off. Super stunning views, room whilst not huge, had everything we needed and the shower was splendid , all was well planned and organised. Food was cooked to order and excellent and the staff were splendid.

I was heading to the Kandy region for the cricket and fancied the chance of a game of golf too. I thought that off the beaten track would help me recover from the road trip from Galle and spotted this hotel. When I arrived, I wondered if I was at the right place because the hotel is set below the level of the road, perched on the side of the hill. The staff were incredibly friendly from the start. I had a G & T in hand before I'd even checked in. The chef asked me what I would like for dinner and how I would like it cooked and told me I could have a full english breakfast at any time I liked in the morning. I was impressed. As it was dark, I could not see the view but there was a sense of space. When I woke in the morning and looked out of the window, the view of the Victoria lake was incredible. I arrived for breakfast to find that my table had been set on the balcony of the dining room and that beneath my feet was real turf. Stunning. I stayed 4 nights and throughout my stay nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I ventured onto the Golf Course and found the rental equipment really good quality, caddies were helpful and green fees affordable. I was even invited to join members of The Histon and Impington Golf Handicap Society for their round and a few beers afterwards. Thank you.
